In today's video, I'm putting Kristin Ess's new 3-in-one flat iron vs beach wave 1 inch curling iron hair styling tools. I style my hair and share with you how the hair wears in 24 hours and I also added how the flat iron straightens my already somewhat straight hair. Do you have these tools and do you like them?

Today, I'm putting two hair tools to the test: I'm testing the new Kristin s, beach, wave, one-inch, curling iron and then this next one, the Kristin s. Flatiron, is a three-in-one flat iron. I don't know what three things it does, but it's a flat iron and I'm really excited because they're both under $ 100. I believe this one is 80 and the curling iron is $ 50, so they're really great budget-friendly heat tools that you can find at Target. I'M really excited for these tools, because they're all titanium barrels or the asitane Ian plates, which I love that you guys. You know that about me. It'S one of my biggest priorities that I need in a heat tool. The reason why I love titanium plates or barrels is because they provide the most even heat distribution, which you know hotspots are not your friend in the hair game. The temperature is actually really awesome in here, even though you only have four temperature settings, but the thing is, you can choose your temperature, so the Flatiron. I think you get right here. Two eighty three sixty five four hundred and four forty, so I'm gon na stick with three sixty five and then for the curling iron. You get 325 365. 404 25. I'M gon na do 325 for this one. It tells you right here in the front where your temperature is that's really great and then the packaging, you guys look how pretty this is it's gorgeous. It reminds me of the t3 type of packaging with the white, but this has beautiful gold and it's not that yellow gold, that's kind of like a bronzy gold. It is stunning, so basically what I'm going to do is curl my hair on both sides. So on my right side, I'm going to use the curling iron and then on my left side, I'm going to use the flat iron to get the curls. So, let's see what happens and see how I like them, I'm really excited for this just very quickly section. My hair, I think one of the top questions regarding hair products. A lot of you guys are asking if I use heat protectant on my hair ever since I did that one video and no, I don't just because I don't need it just quickly. Brush up my hair, so there's no knots, let's start with the curling iron, and I like to start from the very back. So I'm just gon na keep the curling iron going up. Just very gently wrap it away from my face and I'm keeping it like. At least an inch out of barrel, if you guys, can see that okay, it's not smoking or making any weird noises, and it's not and it's not producing any kind of burnt smell three, two one. Ah, my eyes, I like it the same thing so just starting in the middle and then just wrapping it up and keeping some of the hair out hold this for ten seconds. Ten, three, two one Wow, it's doing a good job, that's really nice, the same thing! So I'm kind of putting it towards the bottom clamping it a little bit and just leave me some of the hair out and just wrapping it up one. Let'S move on to the flat iron. This is a true test to see how easily it goes along. The hair, if it's like butter or melted butter, ooh this one kind of smells, it's gon na place the straightener down it's smooth, but it's not butter smooth. The con yard definitely is still smoother than this. The Bayeux Yannick still blows out of the water, but none of the hair is getting trapped in the plaits and it's creating very even curls. Let'S see how and it doesn't look like it's adding any extra phrase, which is amazing and I'm actually taking pretty big sections. As well very nice, okay, this is really nice very nice. In my opinion, this is much better than the GHD. Let'S look at the two sides. The curls actually look very similar. Look at that nice did. I get everything Andre okay, the only thing I do want to say is it's creating a little bit more frizz on the flat iron side, but also keep in mind the flat iron is running hotter at 365 versus the curling iron at 325. I feel that I don't need to go higher than that for the curling iron, just because it's doing an amazing job, I'm gon na quickly brush out the hair again. Alright, let's do the same thing. I'M just gon na start off with the flattering this time. Just to switch it up on you guys, I just love that it's not snagging any of the hair and it's not getting stuck where I feel like. I have to put extra force to pull it through the hair. It'S doing a really good job, so we're quickly checking with the Sikh thermal camera to see how hot it's running through the hair and it's coming up to almost 250, almost 260 yeah, that's the hottest. We have run anything with the heat tools for the curling iron side. It'S running at roughly around 240 degrees, Fahrenheit and now 250 they're running very similar, except this one is at 325, and this one is at 365. If you want those really nice tree ends kind of like with a flat iron. All you do is kind of. Let go once then you're, very gently kind of just drag it out. Just like that kind of drag it down there and very lightly. I kind of hold the little clip a little bit open, so it's not pulling my hair out I'll show it to you one more time heat it up all the way through. So I kind of bring it down around once and then very gently like slide down the hair. So it's getting those nice straight ends, as you would, with a flat iron separate my hair right in the middle. Ever since I cut my nails or was forced to cut my nails, my tools are not working as well as I want them to be. I literally use my nails for everything when I did. My hair struggle is real. You guys alright, so now that the hair is down the middle, but I always start from the back working my way towards the front. This just kind of helps make sure I don't forget any hair in the back and, as you see, I'm making all the curls go away from the face and the reason why I don't curl the ends of my hair. Unless it's for a specific look, that's where my hair is really fragile and it's already super dry, so I don't have to add too much extra heat and especially if I'm gon na drag the curling iron down the hair that adds more than enough heat. I feel that this curling iron is a really beginner friendly for those that really don't know how to do their hair yet and they're still practicing on how to do it. Nice perfect, all right last, one just very gently slide down the end. Well, I feel like you, can really customize what kind of curls you want with a curling iron, I'm just very gently sliding it down barely putting any pressure on the plates. Wow. Look at that. I think for the price. These tools act very high-end, and it doesn't hurt that they're super cute, I'm not gon na, add any hair products to my hair, because I want to see how they wear without any dry shampoo texture spray, hairspray whatever it is, I'm just gon na quickly brush up My hair, it's nice and cooled off already, just very gently brush out the curls very bouncy love. Look at that looks so good. Let'S do the curling iron side. I like that. I achieved very similar curls, which I'm very happy about. I didn't want them looking too different, but I'm noticing right away, then the curling iron side, it's not as frizzy as the flat iron side, but I've noticed that when I do it the next day the hair settles down, especially towards the top, where it's a little Bit more frizzy, I think the reason why it's looking more frizzy is because I'm putting a lot more tension on the hair, especially towards the roots with the flattery, because you're clamping and you're kind of twisting at the same time. So if you don't want that frizz, just kind of straighten it out and then clamp, maybe a fourth of the way down. If you don't really want that really curly or wavy look towards the top, but I'm very happy that they look very similar, they're, very bouncy. They'Re shiny and they look really really good. Obviously, with the flattering: it's a little bit faster, just because you don't just sit there and hold the hair, but with the curling iron. I think it gives you a little bit more flexibility in terms of you just kind of hold a hair in one place, and then you let go so I think if you want something easier, definitely go with the curling iron just because it's a little bit easier Kind of does the job for you, but what the flatter you kind of had to twist a little bit more, but I think they're both really nice and I am gon na - go to the gym. And I want to see what the hair looks like after the gym and see what held up better from the gym. Literally just got back. You even had my jacket on so cold out. The guys know where this jacket is from comment down below it's one of my favorite jackets. I look like a hot mess. I finished off with hit at the very end whoa. Let'S look at the hair, let me just quickly brush it out and hopefully restore it. Wow, I'm sweaty Wow, it's giving me alright different brush. I smell foul, oh wow. I think the right side almost fell out still looks really pretty, though they're very soft waves. Let'S not really look right here, because that's where the ponytail was. Let'S look at the rest of the hair. The curls definitely fell out a lot but they're. So pretty and soft right now really really nice. The bottom pretty much fell out. Cuz super sweaty. How does it look in the back? Audrey says they fill out a lot in the back, but from the side action really like them, like I said, they're very soft. The flattering waves definitely has a lot more definition: they're, not a soft, the right side, they're, just beautiful, very loose soft and I'm thinking. I'M not gon na end the video tonight, I'm going to end the video tomorrow morning, I'm gon na sleep with my hair. I usually sleep with my hair down. That'S what I'm gon na do tonight. I sleep on a silk pillowcase. That'S on my hair doesn't look as crazy in the morning time. The waves do fall out a little bit more, but there's still something there the next day. So we'll see what the hair looks like with these tools and I'm really excited, because this looks really promising, because if I can do hit and do really intense workouts and my hair still looks good after that, it very impressed. I like these guys so far a lot so I'll see you guys tomorrow morning. It is the next morning and let's look at the hair already can see that the flat iron side kept its curls a lot better than the curling iron side. There'S just a little bend, I'm just want to brush it out. The Flatiron Side fell out really nicely it's not as intense anymore, but it's still there and you can see it very so the curling iron side looks like it has just a very natural Bend to my hair. I mean I still like that. Look it's just very natural has a very slight Bend still gives it a little bit of volume. Alright. So at this point, I'm a little more impressed with the flattery and just because the hair got very similar amount of heat with the seek thermal camera. A roughly got around to 50 to 60 degrees Fahrenheit with both Flatiron and the curling iron, even though they were both set on different heat settings. So I'm really impressed with a flatiron. The curls still look really really nice. They still look somewhat fresh honestly, but then, if you do like a very simple light, Bend the next day, I think this is gorgeous it's very effortless. It still looks like your hair looks done, but naturally I'm very impressed. I think they're both incredible and I'm definitely gon na continue using them, because I, like that they're titanium and I like that they're under 100 dollars and I think they're - really great hair tools. You can't really go wrong, I'm coming in at a different day, and I want to quickly show you guys how the Kristin s a flatiron straightens, my hair. I personally don't like to straighten my hair, just because naturally this is what my hair looks like when I air dries. I have a little bit of waves right here and then underneath my hair tends to wave a little bit, but overall, my hair is pretty straight. If I do blow dry and style my hair at once, I like to use the Dyson or the Revlon and it typically strains my hair. The way I like it, but today I kind of felt like straightening, my hair. I don't know what got into me, but we're gon na do it, but let me quickly do a turn around and show you guys before and I'm just going to section off my hair, because that's what I like to do. I have the Kristin s set at 365 Fahrenheit, I'm gon na quickly brush up my hair. If I do straighten my hair, I like to use a brush to brush out through the hair, as I straighten it, that's not bad at all, right, honey! That'S really good! I like that, I'm not gon na go a second time well, look at the difference, looks good guys, Andres going to check the temperature of the hair about 260, so very similar, because when we were curling the hair, it was the same thing like 250-260. I honestly don't remember the last time I shrink my hair, like this. Probably for a video looks really good all right. So do I like how it straightens? Yes, I do is definitely still not as smooth going through my hair as the bio ayaat, but because it does have the vibrating plates. I think that's what helps the bio otic really just glides so easily without any force through my hair. This one is incredible. I like that with one pass, it still strings my hair really nicely, but then again my hair is already somewhat straight, so I'm not the best person to test this. The full straightening effect with this flat iron, but do I still recommend it? Yes, the waves. Look. Amazing they last really well and the hair. It looks really good with just one pass with each section. I think it looks phenomenal amazing, flatiron love. It hope you guys liked this video. Thank you for watching and I'll see you guys in the next one. I love you all very much bye. You

Cobweb Afternoon: I really appreciate your "real world" testing and seeing how your hair looks the next day, not just right after you style it. Plus the heat cam is cool too! xoxo

san diego allison: This video is so thorough. Thank you for all the work you put into these. And for showing your styling in real time. And for the plain background so we can actually see your hair. you’re quite good at this. thanks!

Karli Berry: I love when you review products like this!! Honestly these are my favorite videos. It’s easy to see that you are actually being honest and true! Love it.

Derrick Jennifer Watkins: Hi, I'm Jen. LOVED the review! Great job! I just recently bought them both and tried the 1" curling iron today. Plan to curl with the flat iron in a couple days. I liked it, but using a curling iron is hard for me as I have super thick waist length hair. I usually do better with flat iron curls, although my best results are from Velcro rollers that I put in wet hair and air dry for 10 hours. I get a week of AWESOME hair from those, but in a quick pinch, a flat iron is second best :) These tools are Beautiful! I'm super temper to get the hair dryer ( it's on sale now for $75) but my old dryer is still going strong. I usually just diffuse my wavy curls. I rarely heat style, but these tools were so pretty i had to get some!

Montse: I absolutely love your channel! I've always had super long hair but recently I went short. I love it but I had trouble learning how to style it. Your videos definitely give me confidence in my hair!

G UNIT: You are really dedicated to what you do that makes you unique from other youtubers. I thoroughly enjoy your videos and thanks for sharing your thoughts and experiences. Keep up the good work.

Alex Key: I honestly was waiting for you to review these before I purchased the straightener, and I can’t wait to go grab myself one ! Thanks for all the reviews because honestly anything I do with my hair now is all because of your channel!

Kim N: I have the Kristin Ess flat iron and really love it! Her whole line is high quality for a low price.

Laura Rotmann: It's so amazing to see you and to know how you are looking right now! Your hair looks amazing. Thanks for teaching us all how to do amazing hairstyles! Greetings and a lot of love from Germany ♥️

Amberger Helper: The heat protectant video was GENIUS. I appreciate you saving us money, and sticking to your research by cutting it from your routine.

Kat Jacobo: I love straightening my hair with a brush too! Your hair curls beautifully.

Katie Begley: I’m SO happy you said that you don’t use heat protectant, I don’t feel alone anymore lol. I’ve never used heat protectant, I use heat tools almost every single day, and I’ve still been told by hair stylist that my hair is some of the healthiest they’ve seen

Nakita Odom: I just bought the Kipozi hair straightener. All because I have been watching your videos and you kept saying titanium was better. You are so right! It straightened my hair better than any straightener ever has. Plus I used it to curl my hair and oh my wow! I still had curls the next day!!! Please do a review on this product. Thank you for all of your videos!

Michelle Gutierrez: Yay! Thanks for reviewing these, definitely adding the flat iron to my Christmas list

Stephanie Nelson: Love it (and all your videos!) would love to see more comparisons of Kristin’s tools including the pivot wand vs 1.25 curling iron and the root tamer!!

thekatiea: Just got the Kristin Ess hair dryer today—can’t wait to try it out! I love watching your videos because our hair is almost exactly the same length so I can try all your styles! Thanks for helping me not suck at doing my hair!!

Mariah Yochelson: I’m in the market for a new straightener. It would be so helpful if you made a video on some of your favorites!!

Krystyna: I love my Kristen ess 1 inch curling iron. I wrap my hair around it like a wand and also curl with the clip. I was in the market for a new curling iron. And compared to drug store curling irons it’s not much more and curls my hair way better and it never feels damaged

Katherine Miracola: I am watching this video for the second time. I love your hair tools review!! I’d love to see more!

MrsLoretta: They both look like good hair tools..You hair is getting so long...It looks great!! Hugs Loretta

Morbid Melancholy: I find it so relaxing watching hair being curled

Laura Seymour: Kristen Ess products are top shelf for the price and availability.

Helen Victoria: Love your reviews, you're amazing

Kaitlin Trump: I just got the Kristen Ess curling iron for Valentines. I’ve never hated a product as much as I do with the Kristen Ess curling iron. The curling iron is super rough going through my hair like snagging. And it feels like it leaves this would feel to my hair after I curl it. I returned it.

Katy: I still love my ghd more because it elimates all frizz in my wavy hair but I think this is a great drugstore option

Esther Lloyd: So pretty!! I don't think I can spend $80 on hair tools right now but I'd love to try them! I have very fine hair so I feel like those would work well on my hair like they did on yours! I do have a question for you. I have fine, short (almost resting on my shoulders) hair. What would be the best barrel size and type of metal to buy?!

Bubble Talk: I love the curling iron side better. As I've recently tried doing a flat iron curl and failed horribly. I think I might try a curling iron. Also the make up ypur using today is AMAZING, its really making your eyes pop. Hugs. Bubbles loves you!!!

Julie Colleran: 10% off at Target, only $45 for the Beach Wave! You make me spend alot of money Milabu!!! (But I love your recommendations!)

MaBelleone1: So very helpful! Thank you for sharing with us...I think I am going to go for the flatiron...

Jamie Monroe: My hair is down to my butt and I'm Soon about to chop it off a little past my shoulders. Look forward to doing these hairstyles. I have burnt some of my hair off from no heat pretectant so now I always use it. I like the curling iron side it's less fizzy but both sides are beautiful. The curling iron also more bouncier. Edit: the flat iron curls did last longer

Melissa Coy: Just purchased the curling iron today based off of this video!! Thank you for reviewing something more affordable! I’m so excited to try this out tomorrow ♥️♥️

Jennifer Griffith: I definitely like the straight iron curls best!

Kalisha J: I was wondering if you were gonna use the flat iron to straighten so I really appreciate it. I don't use my flat iron to curl and would like to have a backup being that my flat iron turns 10 next year. Great video

Wendy Malatios: Your hair always looks so amazingly healthy. What shampoo, conditioner and hair products do you use. Love to know as mine looks a little like candy floss on the ends from all the heat! Thanks for any info you can give me

Jaclyn M: Usually curling irons never work for me. I just use a straightener for my needs. I feel hair always works better and lasts longer with straighteners. Multiple uses as well.

Stoichiometri: CONGRATS ON ONE MILLION YOU DESERVE IT!!!!!

Btchzplzz: You make it look so easy!!! Why can’t I do this on myself? The frustration is real.

Rebecca Walton: Do you still recommend the conair straightener that was under $55 over this? You mentioned it in the beginning but not at the end after the wear test!!

Brenna Maday: We’re coat twins I watched your video on teddy coats and I had to get the Asos one. They didn’t have my size in the raspberry color so I got the white one and I love it!

SamanthaM: Ugh now you got me debating!!! I’ve been wanting to get the Dyson but these tools look amazing!!!!!

Fairy Fellers Master Stroke: Watching you doing your hair is so calming. Doctors should be prescribing your channel instead of antidepressants. :)

TiLi Beauty: Have you ever tried the croc infrared flat iron?? I would love to see the comparison between your bio ionic and the croc!!

Mirelle Haavassalu: I would totally buy the curling iron if it was available in Sweden.. :(

Adi Prass: Love your videos! As a viewer from Europe, I would really love to see if you can recommend us some tools that are sold over here love from ❤️

Kelly Maldia: My flat iron and hairdryer died at the same time. I watch a review of them on @kayleemelissa. She thought they were great for the price. I bought the Kristin Ess flat iron and hairdryer. The hairdryer with the ion button gave my curly/wavy hair smooth blowout results. I'm loving the flat iron. I've wasn't able to curl my hair with my last flat iron but I can with this. You forgot to show the awesome flat iron cover. I also bought the one inch curling iron, which I'm loving as well. I love Kristin Ess hair products from Target. The texture spray, the braid powder, and shine pomade mixed with the working serum are the best. They are nice dups for some high end products.

Rebecca Forbes: Have you tried her hair products? We just got them in Australia and I’d love to know what you think of them

Eleonore Bon: So now with all the dyson hair tools out there, all of a sudden $80 is budget in comparison... apparently

Salina Beveridge: Can you do a cheap vs expensive dry shampoo test?? Side by side or multiple day like you did this video?

Katie: I completely stopped using heat protectant because of that video! Lol Love it!

janet ramirez: Since you made that video testing heat protectants, do you use anything on your hair before styling it??

DoeEyedFaun: Hi loving your channel! Can I request a video for styling the top crown part of your hair if you have bangs. I often find that styles done on the top of my head (buns, fun parts, etc.) look weird with my bangs. Don’t get me wrong I LOVE my bangs but I would love to see what you come up with. If I lived closer I would totally volunteer as a model.

kimberly tomczak: Am I the only one who can't get the hang of using a flat iron for curls?

Jenny H.: Hey, maybe you could do a favourit video with your three best flat iron and curling iron?

Serena Bales: Have you ever done a review on the CHI flat iron? Do you like the CHI?

Shawna: Great video! You mentioned a flat iron with vibrating plates - what is the name please? I have a problem with flat irons really dragging on my hair so could you recommend any budget friendly smooth ones? Thanks

Alex Key: Teddy coat !!!! I just ordered mine !!!! I’m so ready !

Derrick Jennifer Watkins: Have you heard of the Foxybae hot tools? I'm super curious about their dryer and flat iron. They look beautiful and I wonder if they are quality or not...?

Sofia Karlsson: Do you know if the bio ionic will be able in the UK? Or if I can find out if it will be? Really need a new flat iron (that you can also make curls with) and since seeing your reviews and how good it is compared to the ghd I was thinking of buying I would so much like to get one!

Emily Eickhoff: Have you ever made a review for L’ange hair tools? I see them on Instagram all the time. Curious if you’ve tested them out?

Dana Kelly: Silly question. Would you pick the 3 in 1 over the Tyme Iron Pro?

Cheryl Ritter Newdeck: Would you try or have you tried some heat brushes? Not hot air brushes but heated round brushes. If so what are your thoughts on them?

Teona Erb: I love titanium plates inn my thick stubborn hair! You should try L'Ange tools and products they're amazing and always have sales going on!!! I can send you a link for 50% off if interested

LOTTENOLES: Have you ever tried the CROC IPULSE II FLAT IRON? $200 It's supposed to pilse but I don't know anything about this brand??? Maybe you could review it or compare to your favorite flat iron??

Ashley Misc: Same here! Completely tossed my heat protectants.

Beth Simon e: Kristen ES straightener vs. the coniar titanium you just reviewed, which is better please :)

Alana Marie: Could you test the launge straightener? They've gained a lot of popularity and I need titanium plates for my thick hair! I'm impressed with the price and performance of the kristen ess irons.

sn12: the point of the flat iron is to the do the bend one way then the other way kind of waves b/ of the beveled edges instead of the ones you did but still great video

Victoria Roga: I miss you doing makeup tutorials ♥

Jennifer Griffith: What brushes do you recommend?

Leah Meyer: Is the Bio Ionic flat iron made of Titanium? I can only find the ceramic one online. Thanks!!

Sarah Grace: You have gorgeous hair!

Salma: Can you ghd plantinum plus vs original ghd straightening and curling also plantimum + claims less breakage etc

Karlee Benson: Do you prefer a curling wand or curling iron ?

Carolina L.R.: @Milabu where did you buy the pink brush from? I like the grip and how smoothly it goes through the hair. I haven't found a good brush... help?

Laura L'Hommedieu: I have very thick hair and while I love to wear it down, I’m not patient enough to blow dry it. Does anyone have any tips? I’ve also tried to take showers at night but my hair will get greasy midday if I do that. I need some direction but don’t know who to go to for help.

Kendall Dulce: I watch your videos to learn English, I feel that I understand you very well, there are people that I don't like the way they speak. You speak very clear. quick but clean.

Michael Reid: Can I just say that, I love your tutorials! However, if I could give you a bit of constructive criticism, try to start your curls at the top of the section and move your way down. You're creating unnecessary heat damage to your ends!! If you don't it's okay I just thought I would put in my Colorists 2 cents. ‍♂️

Shaymaa Aly: Don't cut your hair too short to help long hair girls

Georgina Ishak: What type of brush is best to use to brush out curls? my brush always tends to make my hair SUPER frizzy if i brush out the curls.

Scarlett: Can you please do a review of the pythair hair strainer x

F -: Great content again!

MissBeaC: YAAAY!!! I've been waiting for this video!!

kathy kennedy: where else can you buy this curling iron I don't have a target

Barbara Vollero: Could you do a review about the L’Oréal Steampod PLS??? x

Tempest: Your background is so bright it's burning my eyes :D Nevertheless, you still make really good videos

Mary Carrette: Can you please review the l'ange flat iron or curler I must know if they are good or not and i only trust your review!

Rebecca Blashock: You even look pretty coming from the gym! (Not fair...) :D

Kerri S: I know it’s the look she likes, but the straight ends irk me lol. Wish she would do it differently once in awhile. And she has such a cute personality, I love watching!

Paula Thompson: Can you buy these in the uk please x

Nancy Hemati: Beautiful. Merry Christmas, MB!

Jamie Maxcold: I know you did it for the sake of the video, but going to the gym after doing your hair I was like NOOOOoooooo!

Camille Coopersmith: Hair looks good

Jeza B: You make me laugh!

GOT7_cRaCKheAds •-•: Yep imma buy it now hope it's worth it!

terwya: Wow I would have thought the curling iron would have held up your curls better than the flat iron. Again great video.

letuwa: Have you ever tried Harry Josh pro tools?

Pretty Mamacita: Very good comparison video

Bri K: I know it's the style you like but why do you always make those beautiful curls just to brush them out into simple waves!? I don't get it. I still love your videos obviously but I just don't understand.

Mrs Pinball Potter: I’m a new subbie and really enjoy your videos but I can’t believe how much your brush you hair. I brush my hair once a day maybe twice at a push.

Jessica Carlucci: Yes first comment!!!!! I can’t wait to cut my hair after my wedding so I can chop my hair off and do all your hairstyles!
