I purchased this product and did the review based on my own personal experience.

Hey guys, okay, so today i'm going to be doing a product review on the jane carter, solution, wrap and roll and basically last night i set my hair in curl formers and i will put some pictures up of that shortly and i used the as i am Product line for a base, so i did my um my co-wash and my conditioner, then i added all my olive oil and then i added on some buttercream because i like to have it very moisturized because my hair is color treated. I need to make sure that i keep a lot of moisture in my hair, so hence the buttercream and then um after that i actually detangled and then i put on the wrap and roll and then i detangled again just because um i always have a little Bit of an issue with my ends, and then i you know, did the curlformers, so this is just my experience using the product, as stated on the bottle. So let me tell you a little bit about the product first and i'll kind of get into my results. How i feel all that good stuff, okay, so the product is called wrap and roll for smooth styles wrapping and setting. So it's wrapping if you're going to be wrapping your hair up and then tying it and letting it dry. And then, if you're trying to get your hair, your hair straightened without color, i'm sorry without um, like heat and then setting here, so if you're going to be doing any kind of a curl rods or curl formers or flexi rods. This is what this product is for. On the back, it says, wrap and roll is a light, foaming mousse designed for wrapping, setting and smoothing hair. It'S amazing: it dries quickly leaves your hair soft adds outstanding, outstanding shine and does not flake great to smooth styles and managing frizz. Now for the directions, it says: directions for wrapping styling and setting pump, foam onto hair and work through leave excess foam and hair and wrap smoothly, set style or air dry. So that's kind of telling me that if you have maybe use a little bit too much product on one section, it's not going to be a big deal. So, as i stated i conditioned and detangled, and all that good stuff i put the product on my hair. Combed it through um, and i probably used about one to one and a half pumps per section, and then i pulled my hair to the cro. I you know installed the curlformers slept overnight and when i got up in the morning, i unrolled the curlformers as instructed and my hair looked as though it was going to be set. Really. Nice, like i, was pretty excited because um even the ends weren't frizzy, so that was kind of exciting and the hold of my hair wasn't crunchy or hard or dry, or anything like that. It looks smooth and nice, but the problem started when i started to un pull the pieces apart, to give it some volume. As soon as i started to pull those pieces apart, my hair - i noticed, was tangled so once i started to separate it was tangled and it would just kind of cause a big poof ball on the tips um and it kind of felt stringy like it didn't. My hair didn't necessarily feel um, it wasn't hard, i'm not explaining it, it wasn't hard, but it definitely wasn't um. I don't know you guys it just it. Just was weird, it was weird, and so, when i went to separate it, everything kind of just went very poofy on me um. I was able to kind of get this the hairstyle to kind of work. For me, i put a little part in it and just kind of fluffed it up, and i had actually set my sides on a curl rods using this because it's you know it's supposed to be for setting styles as well and um. Right now. I look like i just have a big poof. This is the end of my work day. I'Ve been at work came home all that good stuff had dinner, and now this is like what it looks like in the evening. I'M going to post some pictures here pretty soon to show you what it looked like this morning. Excuse me this morning, but let me get a close-up, so you guys can kind of see. I don't know if you guys are actually getting a good image here on the camera, but let me just get close, so you guys can kind of see. I don't know if you can see here that there is some definition, so i'm not saying that it did not define anything um. This didn't define at all. These were curl rods. These are perm rods that didn't sit at all but um yeah. So i i think it's cute, but it wasn't the look i was going for. I was going for a very defined look. I mean on the ends. You can see that they're, just so like frizzy and puffy at the ends, and i know it's not my hair, because i literally just trimmed my hair um, i and the - and i just did a twist out where there was no frizz on the ends at all. So i know it's not my hair um, i just don't know i've again. I tried another jane carter product before i really don't know. If jane carter products are really meant for, like us, you know thicker textured hair. Maybe it's really meant for girls who have more of a wave and when they wet their hair it doesn't frizz ball up, but it actually kind of has a. I don't know. I don't know, but what i will tell you is this. I saw on youtube that people were using this product for a um washing one. I was like what wash and go that's so weird right. Well, when i was actually installing the curlformers, and i went to go put this into my hair. It had my curls pop in so i will be trying this for a curl rod. I'M sorry for a um wash and go. I heard that it kind of dries your hair out, i'm not sure if that's true or not, but i'm going to try it for a wash and go because when i was installing these curl firmers, i noticed right away as soon as i smoothed it through those Curls were like pop pop pop pop all over the head, and i was like oh if this actually dried like this. This would be the bomb wash and go so i'm i'm trying to figure out if the drying agent has anything to do with what is in the product. This is supposed to be paraben, free, environmentally friendly, not tested on animals some of the ingredients. The first thing is water, so that's a good thing and anthem is noble's flower, which is chamomile. It has comfy, which is sim symptom of official leaf. It has horsetail nettle, rosemary um, humulus, lupius, hops, henna uh. It'S got some interesting, interesting things, but it doesn't have anything that would cause me to um not want to use it and it doesn't. It is color, safe right here on the bottle so um i would have to say, as a setter to set my hair. This is probably not the best thing to use for my texture hair as a wash and go that's still to be determined. I will do a video on this and we'll check it out together, we'll go through it together and see how it turns out - and you know it smelled. Okay, it wasn't like it was um like stinky or anything. It comes out and a little foamy um. What i would love is for comments in the in the inbox or the bottom box here, if you guys could kind of tell me what other setters or whatever uh foam setting, could i try that would be good for thick hair. I'M want to go out and try it. I want to find something: that's going to define and i'm having a hard time finding something that's going to define to the end at the end of the day, to the end of the curl anyways thanks so much for watching, and i look forward to your feedback Feedback below it's been, i'm tired, so sorry for all the weird bloopers today but anyways um. Thank you so much for watching and i would love to see what you guys have to say about this product. If you use it before. Oh quick thing: it was under ten dollars, so at least i didn't spend you know twenty thirty dollars on something and then not be able to use it so i'll find a way to use this doggone thing. I'M telling you anyways thanks so much for watching

Marsheilah: Thanks for the review. I use Wrap & Roll to retwist or recoil to refresh second or beyond day hair. I use a butter or oil on my ends layered with it to seal. I use a heavier moisturizing styling cream to do my original twists. Wrap & Roll plays well with my fav stylers and gives my hair great shine. I use a gel or pudding to do my rod sets. I am 4b/4c high porosity.

Marsheilah: Following are my favorite moisturizing stylers: Curluxe Twist & Define Cream (ph 5.5) Sarenzo Hair Pudding (ph 5.5) Soultanicals Mane Thick Creamy Slick (ph 5.5) Sarenzo Styling Frosting CurLuxe Cashmere Curl Parfait Carol's Daughter Healthy Hair Butter They are listed from most hold to least. The last two are used to convert a WnG to a twist out and to remoisturize and retwist when I need more moisture. I use Wrap & Roll to refresh when I need hold, but not a lot of moisture or not a heavier product.

janecartersolution: Hi TyPNaturally,  Sorry to hear that you weren't thrilled with Wrap & Roll. We think that you can get better results, by altering the usage of the product a bit. Just to clarify, this product has very light hold and it is designed to be a cuticle smoother.  For roller setting, we would recommend that you apply the Wrap & Roll, section by section right before you put your hair on the rods. You can put a half of pump on the hair, comb your hair so your ends are smooth and then apply the curl formers, repeat on each section. You can also use it with our Creamy Leave In Styling Smoother to seal in moisture. If you would like more hold, we recommend using it with our Condition & Sculpt.  For wash and go's, you would finger comb Wrap & Roll and then Curl Defining Cream to lock in the style.  Please let us know if that helps? with love   JCS Team
