Hello Darlings!!! The last video that I uploaded sharing how I wrap my hair was before my haircut. This was much easier on my longer hair, but it is still workable on my short hair. Hope you enjoy!!!

Hey guys, wait to see if you are here today, I'm going to do an updated version of my wet rap on natural hair. I do have a video that I uploaded quite a long time ago and I'm going to do an updated version of it just to show you exactly how I'm doing things now. It hasn't changed very much. There are times when I do a directional set worth, which is, I bring them all going back this way, my hair going back out this way, instead of wrapping it in the full circle - and I actually planned on doing that today, but because I need for my Hair to be dry tomorrow morning, I am NOT going to do that because that takes much more time to dry in the back right over here. So I am just going to normally do I have been drying my hair underneath my towel. I have my outer hair towel and I have my diva curl microfiber towel and I'm gon na try to touch my hair as little as possible to prevent frizz. Oh and I found the best hair pins for setting my hair with my wrap. They are from hype here they come 18 in a pack. They are super long. They are contoured in the middle so that they curve to the shape of your head. I think these are just so awesome, and the other wonderful thing about them is that when you do put them in your hair for like different styles, if they are exposed, this just looks like a bar kind of a barrette. Instead of looking like a hair pin - and I think that's really great so I'm going to be using these to set my hair today - I think I will set it going to the right, because I normally wear my hair going this way. So I'm going to set it to the right so that I have more volume and I'm going to put the pins top and bottom to prevent my hair from squishing up. Because that's usually what determines whether or not your hair turns out the right way. Because if you here starts to go up like a cone, it's not going to work out, and the only thing I have in my hair is diva curl one conditioner. I don't have anything else in it, because anything with any kind of a hold is going to give me big problems as far as making it some parts straight, some parts - okay, it's just not it just doesn't work out. So if you have like a moisturizing cream or anything like that, that's all stuff that would work out really well. With this, I had a couple of people. Ask me if I was still using D picker products, because I did review the other products, the other product from Jessie curl, which I loved it's a great product, but I do still use my diva curl. This is just my go-to product as a stylist. I do feel that I have to be up on different things that are out there, because that's the only way for me to really help my clients out is by knowing, what's out there, giving them options of things to use. So that's why I do that. Sometimes it's just really fun to try something new, but then you get to go home. You know I'm starting to overlap the hair pins because I really shouldn't know prep front separately the way I did that's. Okay, wish. I counted them, though, and you don't really have to make it so that everything is super flat like on these ends, because you're not really looking to get rid of your natural curl, just stretch it out as it dries. I let my hair sit under my towels for probably about 45 minutes, so they had a good amount in my hair had a good amount of time to just get rid of all of the extra water, because this does take a really long time to dry. Hopefully I got everything anybody. This is the back of my hand. Okay, so from here I'm just going to take my scarf my silk scarf and I am just going to wrap my hair. I'M going to leave this right now it is 2:23. I am going to leave my hair wrapped until tomorrow morning. Okay, so this is it until tomorrow and I'll see you again, then mister hey guys so it's morning time and I am going to take down my wrap something that I fail to mention yesterday. I did mention it in my last video, but because it's so important I'll mention it again there is. I have my pin sticking out up here for the most part, even if they're not sticking out, they are very loosely placed around my hairline, because if you push them in really tightly, they will cause breakage on your hair line. So, just be careful with that, if you do try this, so I'm just going to remove all of my pins and I really do wish - I counted them so that I would know how many to look quickly remove them. So I decided I wanted to get dressed before I go in tonight. The further because I was I know, I'm gon na put some whale in my hair and I don't want it to end up on my shirt when I put it over my head. So I'm gon na take some of my spray oil, my grapeseed oil, I'm just gon na spray, a little into my hand, just rub it around my hair. My hair is completely dry and usually this is the side. Whichever side went the awkward way, the side that goes forward is usually the side that you have to just play around with to get it to do what you want it to do, and so the next time I do this wrapped hairdo. I will definitely do a directional wrap, but then I just have to go under the dryer for a little while with that, I guess this is the best I'm gon na get out of this. I get all this time. I, when I do my hair with the wet wrap, I always don't like the fact that it doesn't dry, but I guess the fact that it doesn't dry is what makes it come out the way I want it to anyway, because after I take my wrap down It actually curls up just a little bit more, which makes it so that I have more curl definition, whereas right now is just much less curl, then I want to have, but it's okay. This will be just fine, see you again next time, bye, you

TheMkupjunkie: Great tutorial again Rachael. The ladies in the comments gave some good ideas of stretching for flat ironing, twists, and other stretched styles. I always learn so much from your channel.

Lisa Pyles: I love that method. Your hair looks great! I am going to try that this weekend

Emily Phillips: this is great! thank you! what do you do on the days in between? how do you wrap it at night? or do you? what does one need to do to keep it looking good in between the wet wraps?

DivaDeb: Oh great tutorial, love your results!! Tfs

Dee R: I've been natural for 1yr & my hair is in the short/medium length & i think this would work great for me thanks for sharing

Kizzy K: Subbed. You are so pretty and have such a soothing voice with very good explanations. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.

Lisa Pyles: Beautiful! I am going to try that.

AlexciaLinette: TFS. I am going back to the CG method because of the great moisture training it does for my hair but I always fall off the wagon due to single strand knots I think because of shrinkage even when I wash three times a week. Any advice you can give me will be greatly appreciated

kayydeemay3: Could you please do a tutorial on a directional wet set I love this technique by the way it is genius

MyNaturalMyChoice: Beautiful stretched curly hair!

Mari Mari: You are so wonderful to watch and so peaceful ... nothing but drama with a lot of other videos even though they mean well - way too much drama for me! I love your peaceful nature.

keia jenkins: Beautiful Rachael! How often do you have to re wrap your hair?

Dia Love: Great video!  You make it look so easy

NayeLoveArt1992: oh wow!! Im going to try this! I've honestly never really thought it was possible to wrap our natural hair lol smh Quick question, can I try it on dry, stretched natural hair?

Sheeba Renae: Have you tried this wrapping method with flaxseed gel?

Amanda Liz: Hey! Loved your video! I have two questions for you, if you don't mind. Where did you get these pins?  Do you think this can be done before flat ironing, as a way to avoid blow drying?

Lovingdeenaturally: Love love!!! That's very interesting that u can wrap natural hair. I love ur results. My hair would probably take daaayysss to dry if i wrapped it. Lol!! Thanks for sharing this

Phyllis S.: I know this tutorial was made 3 years ago but this my first time viewing it. I noticed that you shared in this video that real silk draws moisture out....but this statement is not true. Actually silk is better and most definitely better than any other material scarf to tie your hair in. It helps to retain moisture, helps to bring a shine and silkiness to your hair. Helps to prevent breakage and helps to keep elongation to those hair strands when wrapping your hair. I have used silk scarfs when I had a relaxer in my hair and now on my natural hair and in both instances the silk scarfs have helped in maintaining the health of my hair. I have been natural for 3 years now and found that cotton scarfs are definitely a no no and satin scarfs are just ok. For optimal results for maintaining your wonderful natural hair, 100% silk scarfs are your best friend. For those who are skeptical please feel free to do your own research and try a silk scarf for yourself. You most likely won't find a 100% silk scarf in your beauty supply store. Your can try online and at your local fabric store where you can taylor the size of your fabric. Other than that one issue, I did enjoy this tutorial. Not trying to be messy just feel we can all benefit from one another with knowledge....Im still learning each day from all my personal and Youtube natural sisters!!!!!

kayydeemay3: It doesn't matter what roller I have them all lol I am so excited for the tutorial thanks in advance

Quetzali Oshun: Who makes the grape seed oil?

DivaDeb: I don't think I can do this, but I'm going to try. Where did you buy or find the hair pins?

AlexciaLinette: ohhh....I have been doing this with gel and girl...it turns out a hott mess!!!! TFS!  I am going to try it with shea moisture curl enhancing smoothie this week.

Sheralyn Baylor: Love it

finesweet01: Love! Will try

Jetanna Sledge: where do you get the curve hair pins?

Kelly Coleman: My shrinkage allow this, 4c hair says no no!! Lol

Brielle G: love how you showed us the reality of it boo

Nichelle S: Can you do a video on your directional set?

Dr. Christina Green-Lee: Will this method work with shorter hair? I do not have length when it is wet, blown dry it comes a little above my shoulders.

Loc’dNFreed !: can't wait will my hair grows longer... :( i couldn't get the same result.  i may loose the pins in my hair.

Sharee Minor: Love!Fab! Excellent!

CurlyAnji11: I used the info of the original video and the instruction of the second vid and got great results in the back and weird results on the top so I think my hair wasn't hydrated enough.... I will try again!

Akosua Fire: Looks nice!!

Lavender Life: nice. i usually diffuse so this is another option when i dont feel like diffusing. :)
