Learn how you can use a scarf or wrap to straighten your curly, wavy, or frizzy hair without using heat from a blow dryer or flat iron and without using HAIR/BOBBY PINS!! Repeatedly heat styling your hair can be very damaging, causing dry brittle hair, split ends, and often breakage because it removes the much needed moisture right out of your hair shaft. Air drying your hair is one of the best things you can do for healthy elastic hair. Preventing damage to your hair helps it to grow longer faster. Those of you with curly or wavy or frizzy puffy hair often desire the sleek smooth look of straight hair, but it comes at a price to the health of your hair. Using my no-heat method is a great alternative to heat straightening. It's so comfortable because it doesn't use bobby pins so you can easily straighten your hair comfortably while you sleep and you won't get any indents from the pins. You will get great results and may only decide to touch up one or two spots as desired with a blow dryer or flat iron rather than subject all of your beautiful natural hair to intense damaging heat. Please subscribe so that you will be notified when I upload a new video because I have so much more to come; something helpful and of interest to everyone. Thanks so much for viewing!

Hi everybody welcome back to you tips for you today. I want to show you how you can have beautiful straight hair if no heat, no flat iron, no blow-dryer, no damage and no pins. So it's going to be really comfortable for you to sleep on and you can go to bed this way wake up in the morning and have beautifully straight hair. This is also great if you flat ironed your hair and blow-dried your hair, but you want, to you know, stretch it out a little bit and you want to preserve that straightened. Hair. You don't want have to straighten it every day. So this way you can use this technique to keep it nice and straight while you're sleeping and wake up in the morning with beautifully straight hair again, okay, so let's get started and I'll show you what you need to do now. My hair is wet. Okay. I have it, it's been just washed and it's it's all wet, and rather than blow-dry it and Flatiron it to make it straight, which you know I have very fluffy, wavy hair. I'M going to use this technique to have straight hair without any heat and you'll also need a comb. I always use a wide tooth comb, but any comb that you have - and I always recommend you comb your hair when it's wet, rather than brushing it, because your hair is very fragile when it's wet and you don't want to pull on the hair or stretch it Cause any breakage you're also going to need some bobby pins, and if you have crocodile clips these are great too. You can use them as well, and I said we're not going to use any pins, but we are in the very beginning for just a little bit just don't help you work with it. Okay, so um, let's get started now. All you do. This is really simple. Is comb out your hair and part it to the side? Now I usually have this kind of off-center part and my bangs are on this side, so kind of part, your hair, where you wear it. So if you wear a center part, you know do it that way and make sure your hair is all combed out doesn't have to eat being wet. But if you want to have the most straightening effect, it should be wet piece of my hair and you can apply any kind of anti frizz or straightening serum that you want. This is a good time to put it on and it will help your hair lay flat and smooth like a smoothing, serum or shine, I'm not using any. I have a leave-in conditioner in so the first thing you're going to do is you're, going to grab your comb and start with one side and you're going to comb your hair back like this. Behind your ear, nice and smooth grab one of your bobby pins and slip it in behind your head now, you're going to go to the other side. Do the exact same thing you're going to comb it back like this now grab a bobby, pin and place it. Just at the nape of your neck to hold it back so now I've smoothed it back and you can do real. You know with your hands just smooth it out nice and even now, you've got this these two pieces in the back. What I want you to do is divide them in two, so just divide them in two hold one in each hand and cross them over simple right now. What we're going to do is we're going to be bringing them over the top of our head. So just take them like this and bring them up smooth them out. You can work with one at a time. It'S probably easier. Now don't come this way because you'll mess up that side, but you can call them on that side down to make it nice and smooth grab another bobby pin. I wouldn't use more than four it's gon na be hard for you to take it out. So you know four or five and just secure it in like that now grab the other piece sure you have all the hair comb it out. Nice and all you do is come back up, but you're going the opposite direction and smooth it out nice. Those on that side, smooth it out, get all those little tails in you. Don'T want those like little tails sticking out, get it as smooth as you possibly can and put your PIN in okay. So let's go over it again right. What we did was we pinned the sides back nice and smooth make two ponytails. We cross them over. We brought one this way and then one this way and we pinned them. This is great for long hair now to keep this in place. Here'S the finisher! You have to have a scarf, you can have a silk scarf, but this is a special scarf. That'S used for wrapping hair and I got it at Sally's Beauty and I wear it to bed and it's nice, it's comfortable. It secures nicely on the hair. It'S a great quality, it doesn't grab the hair. Does it mess up the hair, keeps it nice and straighten. It really helps when you go to sleep so I'll put that in the description box, so you can see where to get that now. Just put this over your hair, like this, make sure you come down over that part and go in the back and just cross it over okay, very simple: now you can you can slide it a little to tighten it, pull it to one direction and you'll. Tighten it a little bit, keeps it nice and firm on the heads I'm going to keep your hair nice and tight to your head. It'S also breathable, so it's really nice little dry, really nice and then come to the top and tie it like this. And then I just tuck these little ends in okay and that's what you do and now the best part is we take out the pins. So you won't when you go to bed, you sleep like this. You won't feel any pins bumping you at all. So just go under there slide this one out see now the scarf is just holding it all in place really nicely, and I knew those one over here just got to remember where you put them, that's why you know if you have to use more pins, it's Okay, don't worry about that, just use them, but just remember to pull them out and whatever makes it easier for you, there's really no tried-and-true kind of way to do it. I think I got them all and there you have it. That'S all you do, and it's so simple and my hair is gon na dry. It'S gon na dry perfectly straight, no flat iron, no heat, it's not nighttime, but if it were, I would go to bed like this and I wake up. My hair would be dry in the morning and you know what's really nice about. It, too, is that it keeps your pillow dry, you know ever going to bed with wet hair and then you wake up and your pillows can't still damp from your hair. But this is great and it's comfortable and the pins won't bother you and you know you wake up with your hair. All done and all you'll have to do is just you know, kind of arrange in how you want, but I will be back in about maybe two hours or an hour and when my hair is dry and I'll, show you what the finished product looks like and You'Re really gon na love. It. Okay I'll see you soon. Ok, so it's been about two hours and my hair feels dry under there. So it's time to take off the wrap and see how we're doing and see our nice straight hair. I also I wanted to just mention that if you weren't going to sleep like this, is really good. If you're going to sleep, because you know you don't have anything in your way, but if you were just hanging around the house, you could just wear it like this. You don't really have to twist it all the way up. If you don't want to, you could just wear it down like this. Just you know make one knot under your neck and that's it. So, let's take the hair out, we're just gon na carefully undo the scarf and we are still wrapped under there and then we're just gon na. You know peel it down. Ok! So then, just smooth it out use your comb just kind of shape it a little and separate it because you know it was underneath that scarf and if you have any little curls or bumps, you can usually straighten them out with your hand, because your hair is More malleable because it just came out, it's still kind of warm from your head. Now you know it's not going to be perfect, like you would get it with a flat iron with the heat, but this is a great alternative to using heat and blow dryers and flat irons on your hair, because those straightening irons can really ease up the moisture And damage your hair, so for me this is really straight. I mean this. Is I'm happy with that I'd rather, you know, use this technique on my hair and have an occasional little. You know where my ear was here. It'S that little tiny thing. That'S! Okay! I don't mind that, because I know my hair is healthier and it's protected from the heat, its retaining moisture. It'S really soft, and this will last until you wash your hair again. You'Ll keep this nice and if you want to preserve this straightened, look when you go to bed, you can just put it back up again, like I showed you and put the scarf around your head again and you can sleep on it and keep it nice and Straight also, if you want to minimize how often you straighten your hair with a flat iron or use a blow dryer to straighten your hair, you can use that heat method to straighten your hair and then preserve it by wrapping it and keeping it nice and straight In between washings, that way, you don't have to you know, style it heat style it every day, wash it every day, straighten it every day to keep it straight. You know those of you who have wavy curly, hair and always want it to look straight. You may be doing that more often than you should, because it does cause damage and breakage, and if you're trying to grow your hair long then minimizing using the straightening iron and the heat on your hair is really one of the best things you can do. Ok, so I really hope you enjoyed this video and I hope you found it helpful and I hope you give it a try and let me know what you think and how it came out for your hair and please subscribe, because I have a lot more to Come and also please visit me at my blog spot, where I do a lot of writing and i'm also on facebook and on twitter. CaliKim29 Garden & Home DIY: thanks so much for this how to!  My hair is damaged from using the blow dryer, so am trying to stay away from heat, this is a lifesaver!  Great channel, I subbed!

OfficiallyStelzer: This is a great video! I like to keep my hair up when I go to bed because it is so long(about waist length) but I have been having terrible headaches at night and its with minutes of putting my hair up to go to bed! Im going to try this, I can straighten my hair and hopefully get rid of the headaches!Thank you!

Jodie Sinclair: Brilliant! This worked soooo well

Kathryn Baird: Great tip. I love your hairstyling videos that promote alternatives to heat styling.

ohenry187: This was really helpful! Thanks!

Skye Frost: This will be VERY helpful for me! Thank you

TolaMacarino: Thank you SO much for this.  I recently vowed to stop treating my hair like a carpet!  I used to dye my hair red every month, which was slowly destroying it.  So, I switched to henna, which gives it a much more beautiful color.  Flat ironing also contributed to the "dead" look of my hair.  You're truly a life saver with this.  I just left the bobby pins in with no scarf for about 2 hours after my shower, and it was wonderfully straight!  It looked natural, too.  Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Zynab Abdelhameed: You make it so easy for me to try it I already know the tip ,however I couldn't do it right I'm gonna give it another try Thank you

Prathvi Nayak: It actually works! best way ever! Thank you soooo very much. You saved my hair from dying. :')

YouTips4U: Your hair sounds beautiful. I hope this will help you when you sleep so you don't get headaches anymore :)

Starr Vischacha: Haha! Nice! I've been using this sort of technique (wrapping wet hair and letting air dry) for years. I'm so screwed though; I don't know how to use an iron, but my hair is straight on the days I wrapped it haha.

Lois JáNett Reborn Nursery Campbell: Have you tried wrapping your hair dry in one direction? When I wrap my hair in one direction it comes out really nice.

minecrafter47: thank you so much! Im going to try this tonight! i hope it works!

nina xxx: Love it!!

YouTips4U: Hi, I explain that the pins are just temporary to help you do the style easier. You will see that you remove them later in the video. Let me know how your hair comes out if you try it :)

Gabby Krystal Garcia: It actually worked thank you

Lydia Sanders: Wow! I found this is very helpful because I have an event tm and don't wanna have any heat on my hair!

Ines Missouri: Thank you so much!!❤️

emoosemoose: Love your eye make up in this video - could you do a tutorial on it? Also, you have a great profile. :)

Talia-dre Richards: In South Africa (where I'm from) coloured people have used this trick for years, we call it swirling, except instead of swirling our hair to make it straight, once we flat iron our hair we swirl it to keep it straight without having to straighten or touch it up again until we wash our hair.

lizandariel1710: I hope this works! Trying this out tonight!

Kaylee M: also if you have really curly hair, do this over night then go over it with a straightening iron in the morning. It will be much quicker and you probably won't have to go over each section as many times.

italianbeauty86: I enjoyed this video. I'm a huge advocate of not washing everyday and wrapping seems so much less damaging compared to throwing your hair up in a messy bun at night and the next day. I have wavy/frizzy hair that's on the dryer side, but it is healthy and I use pH balanced salon shampoo and conditioners. Especially during the summer months, I avoid heat and straightening (just because it's too hot!) and I go more "wavy" when letting it air dry. But then I do get the frizz and also have layers. I don't like caking on too many products but I do use It's a 10 leave in spray with keratin. I'm going to try this wrap and straightening alternative during the summer and possibly when washing my hair at night. It seems easy enough. Good video and new options for me. Thank you!

VibGirls: I like it thanks for sharing this!!!

Laken Wren: Thank you so much for puttong this video I hat my curly hair and it really looks good

Lucille M: This was great!!! I am going to buy that wrap on Amazon :) You're so sweet.

lizi: Does it work on curly hair? I'd love to try this because I dye my hair and I'm worried it'll get damaged if I keep using a flat iron as well

tink: This is cute will defo try this. Thanks! Also think you'd suit short hair too looked nice pinned up

Bair Kids: My hair is curly and my mom wont let me straighten it so this will really help

Isabel Vasquez: does this work for thick hair?

Wiktoria supergirlnic: Thank you for sharing :)

Heba Macary: In egypt we do this having good end result but we usually lightly oil the tip of our hair while it wet .... peace and love :D

ananya patel: Added to my favourites! Xx

Ben Selektor: Would my hair stay straight under a swim cap, cut I swim three times a week and I usually only wash my hair once a week so would it stay or would I have to wash my hair more often?

Sal Daisy: If you guys have straight hair but want to keep it straight the next morning without getting split ends well heres ur answer. Braid your hair. A regular braid. The next morning ur hair is probably wavy. What you do is wet it ( spray it with water) and comb it through. This is how i sleep with my hair. ( btw this is for girls who have straight hair but doesnt know how to sleep with it)

Delaney Moton: Will this work for really, REALLY, curly hair?

anushma Dani: thankyu soo much !!! its easy ..love it... :) ;)

098suraj: thanx i hope it works :D how long does this stay btw

Karen Paliza: wow, nice, thanks and more tips please...!!

Mar Cen: I just put up my hair like this and I have a lot of thick curly hair and I guess I'll see how it turns out tomorrow but I'm worried it won't be able to dry because if I put my hair in a braid all day my hair that is in the braid is still damp/wet from morning to night all day but I'm hoping for the best

Katrina Rocks: great i hope it works in my hair

Noline Jero: thanks a lot.... your video helps me

Azul Octarina: Hi, I really like your videos, but I have to say this tip and the other with the bobby pins do not work for hair that's curlier than yours. I tried it and had to wet my hair again in the morning to style it as usual. Thanks anyway.

Olivia Clairee: Yaay I finally found a way thank you!! :) I dont like heat..im scared i might get burned one day lol thanx

DeductivePig: Will this damage your scarf?

YouTips4U: I definitely will soon. Glad you like them :)

Tali Steveyssis: Does this work on curly hair?

Lulu Alnaji: its a bit diffrent for me cause i have really thick hair and it doesnt dry quickly so idk should i still start with wet hair?

Diana Morad: Does it work if you have extremely thick hair? ):

grace8urcat: Omg thx so much such a great method

Tali Steveyssis: Also, can I use hair bands to put the two hairs in the back? I have bobby pins that are only big enough to put the hairs over the head, so I would need to use hair bands for the part for that.

Shivana R: Thanks for sharing, I shall try it.

Chelsea Miller: Does it work on permed hair ?

K8Nicole: This lady is great. She is always helping people.

MariahFitness: I tried wrapping it around my head and in the morning my hair was wavy as it usually is. I straighten it everyday except when I don't wash it that night. And it's hard to com my hair with a com becuz my hair is thick and tangly and it just rips out my hair cuz of all the knots :/

Emma Blase: Thanks I'm going to try this

Lwam Yebio: my hair dries super quickly

Melanie Benson: It worked your a miracle!

Jannah: i love how your replies are so sweet :-) you seem like a lovely person, thanks for your videos! x

Krisha Panchal: Hmm well it's a great strategy but what if we have short hair?

•PorcelainPlanetarium•: What do you do if you have layered hair?

Surina Tjgni: Nice job

SuperJohnnyshow: Please do more food videos I love those videos

Gabriella Winardi: Hi.. My name is Gabriella and I just finished watching this video of yours. I saw your other video too about straightening hair. Which one lasts longer and how long?          YouTips4U

Nina rally: Brushing your hair while it's wet damages it as well. Thanks for sharing.

Jjj Hgjgfh: actully i know this trick my used to do it for me but i only have my upper hair part is wavy but my rest of my hair is little bit straight but my hair is not damaged or rough my hair is smooth but i really want to straight it i tried this method with my self it only used to straight my rest of my hair not the upper part >.<

Emily Gregory: does this work for really long curly hair?

YouTips4U: If you have an old shirt, you can cut it to a long rectangle and use that. You just need something to tie your hair in place. You may not want to sleep in it though because some fabrics can grab your hair, for that scarf is best.

Mariam Mufleh: Looks great but my hair is way curlier than yours. Will this technique still work?

Dominique Lebron: If you used the same comb but a little smaller it will wrap nicer. Also wrap your hair in one direction to prevent the waves in the hair.

Meghan Schwab: would this work with a regular scarf or does it have to be a wrap made for hair???

Romy Horan: I have straight hair but some times it is kinda crimped so I just get my sisters flat iron and I use hair protecnet and it is fine

Asha Porwal: We are going to tie the hair up when they are wet so won't it cause itching because we should not tie wet hair ???

Rukmini Ramya: how long does the hair look straight..? i mean...only for few hours..? if so...can you please say me how many hours will the hair look straight..?

Cecily Russo: Hi! What if your hair isn't long enough to reach the top of your head???

ANJOLIE MENA: Greak, but how long does it stay like that

Kristen T: My hair is about twice your thickness, but I'll try it

MayaTheKat: take a shot every time she says "smooth" lol

Safy b: I like this way thank u

Lauren Bradford: my hair is curly and curls up right after the shower what is easier

1veggiemonster: so this technique uses the head's natural heat and shape to straighten the hair?

Charlotte Robins: What about short hair ??

Carolina Salmeron: Will this work with thick hair cuz my hair Is extremely thick so ...

gabriella vieira: this is genius

Jasper Long: My hair was wavy like normal

YouTips4U: Hi Annicel, no worries, going to bed with wet hair will not cause you to catch a cold or flu. Only being exposed to cold and flu germs and viruses can do that. So if you want to give it a try, don't worry, you won't get sick from it. Actually you really don't even feel your hair is wet with the wrap covering it. If you try it, remember you don't need to have saturated hair. You can let it air dry a bit like mine was in the video and then wrap it. Let me know if you try it:)

Jenna Kamouna: Hi, what if my hair is very curly????????
