It'S the way my hair can barely fit in the core. If you're happy this time, I did not come prepared. I have not eaten anything. My appointment is 10 a.m. You guys I saw the Duncan Duncan ain't even good to me, but something in my system and there's a Latin bakery around the corner and I'm like I could bust in and get some empanadas. I got five minutes. I got five minutes. Let me go get some empanadas yeah foreign, oh, my God is my hair. Even you know ready for colors. So someone asks. Is there a way to dye hair without it getting dry and brittle and like breaking off and like what technique should they use, and should they just stick with a professional like in general, so I mean anytime, we do color, there's going to be compromise. You have to like that's just the honest truth. It doesn't mean it has to look dry, it doesn't have to feel dry, it doesn't have to be breaking and things like that, but anybody's telling you that when you color your hair, it's no damage is lying to you um, but again it is about technique. I do it's called low and slow, so I use I use 10 volume on the hair when I'm bleaching and things like that, um and if I need to I'll use 20, but I don't use over 20., some people start out with 20. It depends on how much we're doing, but if I'm pulling oiling the full head, 20 volumes a little bit too fast. For me, it's gon na lift too fast, so we're going to start with a 10 and you don't need to use 30 volume and things like that on the hair. To get it to be blunt, because you know, I think, that's what people mistake and they start doing too high of developers, of course, k-18 or all the plaques from using something to help prevent damage as well or even put the color on the hair is helpful. After color, you know how the hair is a little bit, it's kind of easier. The texture is a little bit easier. It takes product easier. That'S honestly been the main reason. Okay, why I was like. Let me come back and get everybody on the same page, because by washing like now that I have so much New Growth, my wash and goes have just kind of been like interesting, interesting yeah. No, it's true, because the hair definitely takes the product differently. The Virgin Hair versus your colored hair, so yeah. It makes a difference foreign because someone asked me if I thought that when I did a wash and go um if the way products were working on, my hair was due to the fact that my hair wasn't as silky, not necessarily my curl pattern, but that the Fact that my hair was more coarse because then that's when I remember you said my hair is actually coarse and it wasn't until then um that I realized that coarse meant the texture, because I bought a wig as a backup plan. Okay, but when I got it, I didn't it didn't match me, even though it was the same color match um the texture, the texture of it was too silky, so it just did not match and that's when I it. Finally clicked. I was like, oh my God. This is the difference between curly and kinky. Hair is actually more the strands, not necessarily like the curl pattern. So it's like because I'm looking at your hair, would you classify yours as um course as well. Mine is quart medium core, so I have and that's the thing most people don't have all of the same texture of hair throughout your hair, but it could, if you want to generalize it. Yes, I would say your hair is mostly coarse. You probably yeah exactly it's super normal, but overall, when you look at the visual of your hair that you know that's why, when you tried that wig, it didn't blend correctly to your eye, because it just is a more coarse Strand, and I it's so funny because When I tell people that I think they're like get offended, I'm like there's nothing to be offended. By course, I think it's like they associate it with like with that, like bags exactly negative and I'm like no, it's actually just a tight like it's just a tight. I need y'all to stop typing in 4C and I'm so glad that I got to talk to you about that. It'S really just more like the combination of the fact that my hair type is still coarse, but I do feel like my strands. Aren'T super thick they're. Not yes, and that's the thing it's like there are: there are levels too. That'S the thing. It'S everyone's hair is so unique, so there's levels to find this in medium and coarse um, the straight hair like Asian hair, sometimes Asian, hair or indigenous hair, is very thick, but even though it's straight yeah, but the strands are very thick and their hair doesn't lift It takes a long. It takes a lot to lift it because it has such pigment in it, but curly hair lifts pretty fast just because it is curlier um, even if it is coarser but you're. Here you take a lot of product for your hair versus other brows that I have just because of the texture of it. Your hair is very manageable, though, which is great you take a great pair of it. Oh, my goodness, someone wanted to dye logs but they're, not sure because of their experience dyeing their Loose Hair. I'Ve seen that people have asked whether or not they should um dye their hair before or after they get locks, because I feel like that Frost have you ever dyed locks. I have died locks before one time and I've watched it be done as well. I'Ve seen them do these. I follow a girl who does Vlogs she. She dyes, her hair and then she'll do extensions. You know that match a lot so she'll die, but I've done actual already locked hair. It'S just you have to really work the product in and you can do it, you can do it, but the thing is is that her hair was really long and she already had some like pieces that were inconsistent um. The lock itself wasn't completely full and strong. So when you have that type of thing you have to be careful of it breaking off, you know um, but if your locks are full and strong, you can definitely do it. You can still apply K18 to it or you know, or use all the flex in the lightener. If you wish um just always taking precautions, because it's still hair, I have another one. That'S like can, can you ask your stylist? Is it possible to turn black natural hair to Silver Platinum, icy blonde, not a white or blonde, but that is it is white and blonde. That'S a pale blonde if you're talking about silver icy blonde, that is a level 10 honey, sulfur or liquid, and how would that process go how much damage would it cost it can cause a lot of damage? You have to see how, even if your hair can't even take that um again, I feel I see a lot of that happening with Asian hair, because Asian hair is very strong and it can take that process and that can be a 12 hour process. And you can pay anywhere between twelve hundred dollars to eighteen hundred dollars for that whole process, so treatments would be included in things like that, but that is very expensive. It'S a lot of Maintenance and then you um, it's high maintenance. It'S an investment, the shorter the better, I would say I've seen them take like curly, hair, curly, curly, hair curly, like curlier than ours, two platinum in one day, but the hair is shorter. Okay and it's usually shorter. So it's not that it can't be done on the longer length. It'S just it's a lot. It'S a lot to do. Someone had to ask me if you have any recommendations for like any good like curl color Style was in wet area. Um, that's a great question. They did not there's so many honestly, but when it comes to bigger names, her name one's Lisa. If you live in the Nevada area, I think she's in Las Vegas. She does amazing work um. She I took her class and she does. She owned forever curls Academy. She has a great curly eyes technique, which is basically what I'm incorporating. I am doing the Riso light placements, but I'm doing the herd technique as far as the high lift cover with the Bleach, to give you that nice curly eyes dimensional effect um, and I love love that that's. If you were to like look for one in your area, do you have any recommendations on how someone could do that? Because I feel like it's the best way like I don't think, there's any if you're looking there is a Visa locator, a realtor or visual curl locator, so they're looking for a rental scientists that want for cut or color there is a way you can look them Up on their website, other than that, you want to still look at their Instagram, though, because you want to see what kind of curls they deal with if they can, because not, unfortunately, not everyone can do yeah I'm here. There is a girl that my client is moving to Arizona, so she told me about her. Her name is Curls by Eden. If you're in Arizona she looks like she's very diverse, with her work, she does all types of curls and her Works looks pretty good. She does the Virgo as well. You can find your stylist by seeing who your stylists follow and that's yeah see who your stylist is or follow. Someone that you like follows, and then you can find out people who they at least admire enough, because I don't think you're following somebody you don't like - and I think we talked about this, but someone asked um. What should we ask to ensure that color is not giving grab a box dive Vibes in three months? You know like it's growing out and it looks crazy or probably super blotched right. It'S like harsh, a harsh grow out. Yeah Hearts grow out. She'Ll use words like natural, seamless, um, you don't want harsh harsh grow out um as for a Balayage or like a foliage type of thing, because essentially this is what that is a foliage. So Balayage is a technique where you're not using foils, but oh okay. We can, we can do a foliage, which is a Balayage foil and again, it all depends on how they paint the hair and how they place it. But I would just yeah. Those are the words I would use is Curly eyes, foliage and something that will last. You that's low maintenance. Those are words that you would want to tell your stylists. These would be things I would recommend probably to do in a consultation. You should always have the consultation, yeah and then even just like. I know because I think the issues some people go in with a color, so they'll be like. I want to be blonde all the way blonde Bond. I see blonde um, but I don't think blonde is probably like the least maintenance uh transition color. Unless it's done, Balayage wise or a color, that's a little bit closer to your or a Vibe, something that just matches better with your natural too, because if you're doing blonde, then the color comes out, yellow and your hair is dark. You'Re going to be better off. Doing an ash to your tone, because it's going to just blend much better, even you can still be blonde, but you're not going to be such a yellow blonde, because the contrast is not going to be cute um, which I've seen yeah exactly. No tea, no shade. Yeah, oh my exactly, but I've seen it and I'm just like it's giving yellow light. Yes, oh my goodness foreign. I got myself wrapped up like a red sauce pretzel now before I go ahead and reveal this color. I wanted to go ahead and address the questions that I asked you guys to ask me to ask my stylist. Some of my footage kind of has a little bit of audio issues because we were in a new location that was a little bit more open and there were other people, and so I wanted to kind of make sure that I got your questions answered before I Revealed what color we actually ended up with because put it up. Ah, somebody had asked me if I would consider doing orange copper color, which I thought was so crazy girl, so, first and foremost as a purse as an actual consumer customer. One thing, I will definitely say is make sure you know what you want before you go in and play around in color, especially stuff. That'S permanent! Now granted if you have a good stylus, which you should um, that stylus would be able to fix anything. If you are impulsive or give you the color that you would actually want, but for me as a decisive indecisive and yes, you heard exactly what I said correctly. I found that when I've entered into the realm of color, I've had to give myself at least seven business days since I've gotten that color to readjust my eyesight, so that I can actually see whether or not I was being delusional or decisive, but also be receptive To understanding that, when you go in to get a color or for your color consultation, that you might hear something that you do not like, or you might be told that something that you are trying to strive for, may not necessarily be possible at this moment. In time or that the process might have to take, maybe a couple of tries, or we have to wait till your hair gets to a certain stage page. If your stylist gives you any of those responses. That honestly means that you're in good hands anyone who's not there to just take your money and run or who's willing to damage your hair at the expense of profit is definitely someone that you would at least want to work with, and I feel like that's the Absolute bare minimum, not someone who's going to over promise, but someone who's going to under promise, which is actually a question that one of you guys asked what questions you should ask a stylist to determine if they are familiar with coloring curly hair. I want color but fear ramen noodle, curls um. My colors actually said to make sure up front to have an initial consultation. That consultation is going to be the biggest determiner of whether or not that person is capable of not only doing curly hair, but also doing your hair, and I do think that, as someone who is going in to get a service from someone, I do know that Not all the time everyone knows their hair, which is why I'm here and I'm really really trying to like get everyone on a path to where they know their hair or at least know the Baseline of their hair. And if color is something in which they do not know, example like myself, which I only learned, everything based off going into a salon, um that they're able to at least be able to know a baseline of what is good and what is bad as well as What that looks like for your hair and that's something that I still feel like needs a little work done. We get in there. I'M definitely here to help - and I'm definitely here to consider continue to further that educational process, but definitely making sure that you at least know your hair. What you want um have an ink link or an idea of what your hair Health might look like, and then your specialist can go in and the questions that you can ask is asking them. Like you know I went in, and I said: hey is my hair. Healthy enough for color um, what would that look like? What would you have said or what would have been the determining factors that you would have been like? No, your hair is not healthy. According to my hair, not just any hair, but also according to my hair. So if my hair looked like this, what would have been those determining factors that would make you say? Maybe we need to wait on color? Instead, you should probably do this or work on your hair, Health, Etc and so forth. This is our styling product, oh wow. Yes, ma'am so we're using the design we bouncy curl bomb, that's our first. It'S a has argan oil in it. It'S like a cream. It'S like wow. This is going so fast yeah, it does yeah. It does not need to be anything crazy and are you in Aries too yeah? Okay, when's, your birth name March, 21st, okay, so you're like you're, just barely an Aries, oh yeah! That'S why I'm like yeah you're, like a Pisces too yeah, which probably explains a little bit of toxicity, but that's okay? Oh my goodness! No aries are interesting people no, but I always connect with. I think we have this conversation a little bit last time but, like I always find other Aries, even if I'm not trying and then it's like. I hear they're Aries and I go oh you're around Aries. It all makes sense, it all makes sense completely foreign there's a song called Roxanne right to the ground on the ground. Sam. You ain't never gon na, be my man, I don't know but yeah there's a song called Roxanne and Roxanne from the Goofy movie like is giving I'm real life, Hurt No costume, no Halloween um, but my stylist snap shout out to Regina I'm not gon na hold. You guys going into filming this video and like filming the ending. I actually was not sure what my hair was gon na look like. I had them in these little crusty Dusty little braids and I like when my hair was first done like I was not sure she told me that we went a little over with the copper and so like after the first rinse. It will look more like the rest like this is what's left of the color at the ends and then my roots will be able to essentially match um, and I wasn't sure if I like communicated properly or if you know like I got the end results because Essentially, she was creating a color that we never put down in the first place, um. So for those of you who are like looking to figure out okay girl, like how do I get to you without hopping through the Hoops that you went through before you got to this color um? And essentially, we did a foliage and she went in and laid down a base of blonde and browned highlights. That'S what you guys seen in the clips, where you saw that my hair was super blonde. I mean my roots did take a little bit brighter, but they will definitely fade, and I think, if we put a color on top, it would have Blended even more, but essentially my hair still has to fade out a little bit. We went on top with a copper and a clear, so she did a copper at my roots in a clear color at the ends to just keep that color and kind of refresh the shine and that's how we ended up essentially pushing the color all the way Up because, as you all could see like, we only have a little bit of my natural hair and that's just to help with the growing out process. I absolutely love it. Let me know what you guys think Roxanne Roxanne I'll show you that I do this party. Oh, my goddamn God damn I must do all y'all mans respectfully and then I'll give them back. I promise you, I just want them for the photo op. I don't want them for real, please. I beg

Sherrie Bruton: Girl you are too funny!!! The video ain't even been on 30 sec and I've already busted out laughing. That missing nail situation was too much

naja m: This video is everything! I feel like youtube is lacking in professional natural hair colorist content from the client's perspective. The way you focus on hair care first but still delivering versatility is amazing!! I'm getting my hair colored next month and am super nervous because I've never done it before, but hearing your stylist answer questions was so helpful :) I'm also the decisive indecisive type so I'll definitely wait that 7 day processing time before I freak out lmao

Roger Dewayne: The color looks It’s super important to find a stylist that knows what they are doing. Living witness color will tear your hair up if not done right.

Olivia Woke: It's tough dealing with my hair that's part virgin part bleached, as now I only do color deposits and the processed ends suck that right up cause the follicle is thinner, meanwhile my virgin roots may as well been covered in oil. Your hair came out beauuutiiifully! Could you give an update on how you ended up liking their product? It looked great!

Danielle Stewart: Girl! Thank you for asking her those questions! Loved this video. Your hair looks BOMB

Davawna Marie: Girl every time I watch I just keep wanting to go for it and get my hair professionally done.
