Hey hun,

Here we have my henna hair coloring tutorial. I share some tips and thoughts on using henna. This is way healthier and effective than chemical dyes. I was tired of my hair not staying black with those dyes, so I am glad that this will last longer and ultimately help with hair retention due to its beneficial properties. Hey guys welcome back to my channel. My name is Shania. If you're new here and in today's video, we are going to be coloring our hair with black henna. So, let's get to it. So today I'm going to be using the brand kangana and they have black henna. So this is what it looks like it's enriched with natural herbs, so amla aloe vera, hibiscus Chicago. These are all very beneficial herbs that I use in my oils. So this is really good, so I decided to do henna for coloring my hair, because usually I do like a chemical hair dye or I do a door, and this just hasn't been doing it for me, like it looks good for like the first week or two, But you know I like to clarify my hair because I like to use oils and Butters and it just turns to like a little dark brown and I'm just like my hair just looks crazy so for any color treatment you definitely need gloves, but for henna you Definitely definitely need gloves because henna stains, so, if you're worried about like staining anything, you definitely want to put some stuff down on the floor and on your neck. So let's see the contents in here, so it comes with a little applicator brush, which is pretty cool. I haven't seen this, yet these are the henna packets. These are what they look like, I'm not sure how much I'm gon na use, so I'm going to be using them one at a time. I'M gon na just start with one just to see how that goes. Then I'll just keep going, it says, pour the entire powder and add 30 ml of lukewarm water in the bowl to make a paste. So that's what we shall do. I don't know lately. It seems like everything is just so hard to open. Like I don't understand. Okay, so this opened up this green packet - nothing else in here, but this so I have a coloring mixing bowl, so I'm just gon na dump that in here and I would suggest wearing like a shirt and a pants that you don't care for because you don't Know how messy this is gon na get I'm just going to add 30 mils. I didn't boil this water all the way I just made it like a little bit warm after a few seconds. I'M gon na use the applicator brush. It came with. I'M definitely adding two more because I want to make sure I saturate my hair. I don't want this to be a waste of time, so I just want to make sure that, like my hair actually takes the pigment it's actually covered, so you want to start on shampooed hair. Otherwise, the handle won't stick onto your hair, so I went ahead and shampooed it real good and clarified my scalp. So now I'm just gon na go one section at a time, I'm just going to take a small section by small section and work. My way up before you do this, I would recommend you go ahead and pre-pool your hair, so you can get a chance to detangle. It then shampoo it and that way your hair is not like matted or anything before you get to this treatment. My hair is damp right now and I think that's the best way to do it. So, of course, you want to go ahead and apply the henna to damp hair, a little bit wet but definitely damp, and then you want to work it in real good with these techniques. I use my hands. I use the brush. It really just depends on where I'm at on the head. It'S gon na go with my fingers. I'M gon na make sure I get my roots real good, because that's like the lightest part of my head, I'm gon na spray a little water, because my hair is drying out. I love my natural hair color, but it is so light sometimes, and it actually like Blends in with my skin, and it makes it look like. I don't have any hair like it's it's strange, but that black, it just gives it a little bit more definition and volume to my hair. So you definitely want to make sure you put some petroleum jelly or you have like some oil put it on the perimeter of your head so like around your edges, but don't touch any hair, otherwise it won't take the color look, how light this piece is early Here I would suggest squeezing it just to make sure nothing is getting left behind without any color. Okay, I need to make more because I definitely use all three of those pockets on one side. If you have more here, you might need two boxes, a good idea to just keep one of these just so you know which brand you use for the next time you color it. Hopefully this henna is very impactful and effective. That way, I don't have to keep using six packets every time I do it and it's more like just doing the roots and maybe doing like a light covering of the rest of the hair. This half of the video I just want to share some of my thoughts on henna, so this honey treat was so perfect for my hair. It was really conditioning the shakaikai, the amla, the henna, all of those powerful herbs they really make for a good mask and then, on top of it, we're coloring our hair with it. So to me this is like a win-win. Hopefully this lasts a really long time. Otherwise, I really do see myself just being a henna girl for the rest of my life and it really helps with great coverage too. So I'm thinking about doing it on my eyebrows and seeing how that comes out. Let me know in the comments, if you guys want to see that, but I do want to warn you guys, because if you plan on coloring or bleaching your hair in the future, then this is something that you don't want to do, because they can leave your Hair green, if you do color it or bleach it or you can also not make you pick up the pigment. So if you're a person that likes to keep your hair one color for the rest of your life, then this is definitely a good idea and they have different colors. They have red, they have brown, they have all different types of colors and also henna is known for loosening your textures. I honestly don't think that it loosens that much. I think it just kind of controls. The frizz calms it down a bit. Okay, so it says for you to leave it on for 30 minutes until the paste completely dries up and wash thoroughly until the water runs clear. I'M gon na leave it on for 30 minutes. I'M gon na go even longer if it hasn't dried up by then and then I'll rinse it out and then deep condition it and then I'll go on about my styling, but I'll definitely come back to show you guys what my hair looks like after I washed Out y'all, look at this result. It'S so black, it's so nice. The shine is out of this world. Like definitely check out this next video, I'm gon na be doing a winter curly hair routine. That moisture attention something about a henna treatment. Does us so good? So, thank you guys for watching and please like comment share and subscribe and I'll see you guys later. Peace
