The next black woman that tells me oh you're so lucky to have long hair. I could never. My 4C could never we're gon na have a problem, because my hair literally used to be chin length, and that was the longest part of my hair. The front literally went only to my eyebrow everything changed for me, the second. I learned how to take care of my natural hair. I learned how to wash it correctly. I learned how to moisturize it correctly. I learned how to style it correctly. I learned how to trim it correctly and, of course, I also started making my own hair products that worked for my hair and that's why I now have a hair care line. So all you need to do is find a hair care routine for you. It may take some time may take a little work. It'S gon na take some trial and errors some good days some bad days, but give yourself a couple of months to truly dedicate to your hair, and I promise you will start to see a difference. Do not give up because I'm telling you can

Brittany Rose: Let me clarify I never said I was 4c. I said I was tired of hearing the statement “My 4c could never” because I don’t like black women thinking that having a certain hair texture means they can’t grow hair

The Lazy ASMRtist: Can we just appreciate that she took a shower in a shirt so that we could have this video! Thank you! *update* Thanks for the likes and comments everybody! You all made my day

animezae: Period, love this. I was on a video where a Black woman said “if you’re comfortable spending hundreds/thousands on weaves and wigs, spend that money investing in your natural hair.” and other Black women were tearing her apart about how some of us can’t grow hair and she should mind her business etc. I’m like wow lol ANY OF US CAN GROW HAIR! And it’s really sad to see that so many Black women still believe the anti-hype about our hair’s potential smh.

Dior Nicole: I have tailbone length hair, and I’m tired of hearing ppl say the same thing. I’m just like if you take the time to build a routine it will grow. But unfortunately ppl don’t want want to put that time in, they rather pay somebody to install somebody else hair in their head for an astronomical price and neglect their own hair. (Not all but some do) I wish more black women would put the effort in because our hair is absolutely amazing!

kttwiz: Thank you young sister for posting! Teaching my 13 year old daughter to keep her hair natural as possible!

Curly 4 Life: I was literally just talking about this with my husband! You really have to know your hair in order for it to flourish

JYNaRa2fly: The most HONEST hair care video out there, the fact that you recommend that each person find what works for them instead of listing products is

Mon: I'm so glad you showed how much of your hair shed while doing your hair care routine. I swear I'll be washing my hair and picking up my hair in the shower and thinking "oh no! I'm going bald!!" Lol but it just looks like a mini afro for a mouse xD

Time Traveling Asshole: The way her hair springs back after stretching it out is gorgeous

Wolfyd1999: As a white woman this type of hair is so gorgeous! I love when women will rock their natural and be confident. I also love when they rock wigs or braids too!

Maja Tholstrup: Someone with alopecia: ️️

India: Always so proud of the natural hair. I learned to do mine when I was young. But after I got older and had children, my hair changed...and so did the stuff that worked. I went for a long time relaxing it after that...then stopped again in 2012 because someone close to me came down with brain cancer. Now when I look at all of the cancers they are confirming from relaxers, I am so glad I don't use them anymore and hope nothing comes up later.

Rayofsunshan ☀️: I’m at the trial and error phase with my locs now that they’ve thickened up (semi-freeform and started with two strand twists) and baybeee it is EXPENSIVE I’ll admit that dryness has become more of an issue since I decided to dye my locs but I’m definitely committed to finding my regimen.

Sheenawoven: For the First time in over a year you’ve made me miss my loose hair loclife

Michelle Parker: Your hair is gorgeous! Those curls! I’ve had flat straight hair all my life and I tried getting a piggyback perm because i just live for African American hair. The bigger and more coil the curls…the better!

Dana Ivey: Anybody else find it extremely satisfying watching someone brush product through their hair???

Karla Monique: I LOVE your brush!!! I’m a curly girl as well, and it’s the ONKY brush I ever use!! Best investment I’ve made for my hair in a long time ❤❤

stephanie d: I'm just glad to know I'm not the only one that loses that much hair every single time I wash or comb it. Thought I was doing something wrong lol

J The Farmer: I'm so proud of you for growing your natural hair. I pray that you inspire more women to do the same

Maria Claudia: a única coisa q eu me importo é a quantidade de creme que ela precisa usar é assombroso ver como um cabelo precisa e aguenta tanto produto assim

Uju: Aw thanks! I felt really insecure about my 4c hair because it was taking so long but I won’t give up!

Angel Mills: Tried over a year and about $750 of products later. I’ll take braids for 500 Alex. Natural hair is absolutely stunning but just like anything else not everyone can rock it. Let’s normalize that just being okay too.

Yardley J: You are so frigging right on every front. It takes patience and perseverance. I learned how to care for my hair 1 year ago and I am seeing the results.

Uju: Aw thanks! I felt really insecure about my 4c hair because it was taking so long but I won’t give up!

Abena425: Sis, so true! In my 50s and my hair has never been better. Thicker, longer, just being consistent. Even the area with alopecia has grown in nicely. There is an art and science to growing hair.

xoxo: we black women with for type (especially 4c hair) need to stop degrading our hair type, ik that we have struggles but it screams self hate and i've seen girls worshipping 3 type loose curls and calling our hair "the worst to deal with". 4c Hair is beautiful and when we braid our hair the tight coils actually last long making our braids look nice and stable learn to appreciate your hair guys <3

Collette Meade: This is fantastic and congratulations for taking your hair care to an ultimate level❤️Yesszzz young Queen.

Ta'Myia Rich: I thought my hair wasn't growing after I went natural, but I kept caring for it. I was different. My front is always the longest because I have better access to the front rather than the back. Now it's growing wild. It's shoulder length when I silk press. I trim my own ends, and I do hair masks and deep conditions when it gets dry. I use shea moisture, carols daughter, and mielle. Doesn't matter which as long as the product is by one of them they work perfectly. ❤️ I love using Mielle's rosemary and mint scalp & hair strengthening oil. By the way, they have a much broader selection at Walgreens/CVS, and they usually have good deals, too. Like buy one get one free.

P Ross: I totally agree. For years I was natural. In fact, I was always natural. My mother never permed my hair. My hair was always long and I always took care of it. People thought is was a wig or weave, people thought I was mixed. Nope, my mom was a hair technician who went to hair/beauty school(one of the many careers she had) she took care of my hair until I was 12/13. She showed me how to take care of my hair and I did. But we as BW, we do so much to our hair and sometimes destroys it. But mine is long and still growing till this day. My hair is similar to the girl in the video and I am not mixed. You have to find out what works for your hair. It is a combination of outside(hair care) and inside health(what kinds of foods are we eating).

Mina Mcmillan: That irks my soul when I hear black women say this...all of our hair is GOOD HAIR!!MY LITTLE sis had really tough wirehair she went natural and baby her hair was mid back from her having hair that stopped at her ear...my hair is shoulder length I been natural since 2013

Mj R: Girl, I think it also depends on the amount of time you can set aside for hair care and maintenance too

Void Canary: Love beauty routines! Everyone needs some!

Brittany: These videos are so satisfying. The bounce back when stretched out is the best. Beautiful curls

lixjoonhoney mt: my struggle for many years has been reviving my curls… i had beautiful 3a/b curls as a child, but my step sister (who has 4c) thought (idk what she thought) that she could use her hot comb on my hair… now listen, even though my hair was “thicker”, the hot comb was set WAY TO HIGH, i got a burn behind my ear and everything. My hair was pin straight for 8 years, i do wonder if there is a way to get them back (i’ve shaved my head before… my hair is at best 2/3) i feel insecure because my siblings have the same patter i did, but i stand out like a sore thumb (and i don’t want that) almost everyone ik questions my identity and i hate it sorry if i’m rambling this has just been one of my biggest insecurities for years

All Chakras Open: I'm glad that you said this, because as soon as I stopped perning my hair and taking care of my natural hair it was suddenly down my back after years of having neck length hair.

Tam75Tam: I agree. How can we have "new grow" for hair that "doesn't grow"?? It's called BREAKAGE, sis!

Evelyn C.: Be proud of your natural hair and take it as a compliment when you get one. Your not the only one that goes through long natural hair ,

Katharin Lannon: I ❤️ love your hair and your dedication to keeping it in good condition really shows. It looks . My hair is too fine, totally straight, no body at all. You can do so much with your hair, keep up the good work. Best wishes from the UK

Cherissa Gold: That fall out is so relatable. Thank you for being real…

uzo ugwu: This is the most realistic hair fallout i have everrrrr seen.

Cherissa Gold: That fall out is so relatable. Thank you for being real…

Victoria Elena: ‼️ I know I'm mixed but black women can have long natural hair too I'm here for it

Lisa OTJ: She has hair similar to one of my girls. But my other daughter has lower back long med porosity 4c hair. I wish I could say that we did this wonderful regimen, here are the steps. But in reality, for her it was wash, detangle(monthly, by hand most of the time), then two braids...for years(she's 19). Only wearing it down or blowout occasionally. That can be a turn off for someone who wants to style often. If anyone is interested in seeing her simple way, I could ask her if she wants to do a couple of videos.

Stephanie Shelton: You can see that her grade of hair is naturally wavy and curly. That grade of hair can sustain length especially if she cares for it so well.

hyper ballad: how long your hair can grow it determined by genetics. there are ways to retain length. i know how to take care of my hair it’s very healthy but realistically unless i started a loc journey it’ll never be super long ‍♀️

Ashley Mckenna: Having a awesome hair care routine is wonderful but it's also your nutrition that defines your hair skin and nails! Gotta take care of your body inside and out! Peace and love to all my gorgeous females and males!

K. S.: I been natural for 30 years. 10 years ago I found the bare minimum works for my hair. 100% aloe vera juice with a few drops of almond oil, a cream moisturizer/curling cream, and avocado oil for scalp. …. My hair is to my lower back/waist. No heat and been wearing a top bun for years. Yes, I still have edges too!

Randy Percelle: I swear you said everything I’ve been thinking I used to get as S curl not loving my hair and the moment I stop doing the s curl and started deep conditioning in and using leave in conditioner my hair was prettier than the s curl We don’t have bad hair we just have bad care

KACIFORNIA: Girl stfu your hair is literally good no wonder it grows much faster. I take good care of my 4C hair. It’s always moisturized, clean, and in protective styles but it’ll never go beyond my shoulder. You would never know what it’s like to have hair shrink back to your scalp and spend hours gently detangling it.

K: Lost a lot of my hair after giving birth, it’s growing back but I hope I can get it to look like this eventually. I have the rest of my life to try‍♀️

Qutionz: Thank you!I hate people saying this and then they say I hate my natural hair and they never embrace and leave there natural hair out.

Joanna Okhiku: I also made my own hair products and use them on my hair and the growth is tremendous I got the courage to start selling them and I've made some sales. What I've learnt with natural hair is that you have to put in the work before you see results. It's not about just using products, it's about actually learning how to take care of your hair.

Naomi Lyle: She on here fighting for her life everyday. you deserve every inch of hair and every coin cuz you out here doing good work girl werking hard.get it shawty and be encouraged.

Irene Thinking right: 12 yrs later, My Locs are beyond my bum and hoping strong. As a 50+ Kenyan Woman, I approve of this Message

Krusty KhaZper: Can you list the products you use in this video in order and what they do for your hair please?

Madmouse 101: I gotta give mad respects, even knowing how to take care of it, I could never do that. I barely take care of my hair as it is, good on you

monstervain: You are 100% correct. After so much trail and error, you'll eventually find out what works for you. My hair started growing passed chin length after I stopped doing 30 different steps to it. And I get so annoyed when I watch a video of someone saying, "The reason why your hair doesn't look like this is because you do X, Y, Z. Do this instead!" Okay, but just because it works for you, doesn't mean it'll work for everyone else.

Rhayven Jones: Facts. Switched up my protective style, how I detangled/washed my hair. Plus I trimmed it regularly. Roughly a year ago my bangs reached my eyebrows when I raised them lol Now they are below my chin. Gotta be gentle with our hair and it will show results!

Alexandria Dillhoff: Yes Queen! I love this and love what you are doing. #notblackjusthetefor thesupport

Oma918: Ok, let’s not understate how much work it actually takes to learn and understand our individual hair. It takes a lot of trial and error and it is a lot of work. This is why many black women give up and come to the conclusion that they can’t grow hair or that their hair just isn’t “good hair”. When it comes to black hair, lack of knowledge is the problem and many people give up too quickly. I truly believe that black hair is the most beautiful hair in the world and this is why it requires the most amount of effort. Nothing great comes easy. If we find the patience to learn our hair, we will come to see that all the time, energy, sweat and tears is worth it in the end.

shai f.: Literally spent thousands on products just to figure out what worked for my 4c... I just ended up chopping it all off in the end.

Raqeeb Lewis: Keep doing what u doin queen

Malainee Ward: My husband and I are both white (each with with a sprinkle of Cherokee), but his hair is so thick and curly I feel like I'm gonna have to learn a whole lot about hair once we start having kids. My hair was pretty thick when I was younger, but it is sraighter than a ruler so it was super simple to take care of.

Tweety Bird: For me personally, hair care is like anything else to do with health and wellness. It boils down to how important it is to you. I could be ripped. But the work out and dietary commitments aren't worth it for me. Same thing, I could have long hair. I just f Dong have the inclination to do all the things I'd need to do in my hair routine to make it work

Regina Moore: I've had women wanting to FIGHT ME over MY OWN HAIR... I don't talk to women about hair unless we were RELATED... period.

Mizzez Bizznezz: I'm with u on having natural hair. It's sooo beautiful. Erase the enemies negative statement (nappy) they're just jealous!! Also certain pure tribal Africans have a completely different texture of hair from us because they're not of our same ethnicity. If u look at them u can see that. It's very tightly wound and doesn't really grow!

KeZa0806: Putting in the work gets things done!

Mr. Fixit - Atlanta Live: I LOVE NATURAL HAIR! Shout out to all the beautiful women who take the time to appreciate and take care of what God gave you!

Liza Tolbert: 21 years later and I’m still trying ☠️

Maria Alexis: Thanks for sharing! I fight everyday with my hair because it can get tangled very bad.

mahogany princess: My hair grew more when I started being patient with my hair and not rushing while styling and washing my hair. When you rush, you cause a lot of breakage.

Ny’Asia white: Key word “THAT WORKS FOR U” . U shouldn’t get mad at ppl giving u a compliment at all and u said stuff that works for u not all products u use will work on everyone elses

the Cantina fan: Her: acting like it's hell White/Tan woman:

Dorka Mena-Baldwin: This is how my 6yr olds hair is now. I can only imagine how long it will be once she gets older as far as length. I need a good moisturizer mask and something to get it more manageable or softer. She hates washing it. Everyday struggle

robin manning: Awesome Brittany!! Your hair is beautiful!! Don't however dismiss genetics and growth cycles. Some cycles are closer together.. thus length and some are short or widely spaced...and will seem like it's taking forever.

OKAY Lovley: find what works for you and keep it pushing

ForbsieLaLa: She is right but some hair texture are more likely to grow than others. Finding the right routine is key. I always had long hair but since I found a routine that is not as stressing it has begun to grow. My problem is I cannot handle my hair. I will try something other than braids in the new year though, but not wigs

JezkaTV: I swear my hair started flourishing when I started doing my own hair and taking care of it.

Lacey Stanley: My hair was so fine and damaged easily. Now I actually look after it properly it's gotten thicker and healthy. I used to wash my hair everyday, now it's every Sunday. My water bill isn't expensive either

Ashley: So true!!! Same thing happened to me .

Andrea Rogers: I'd love to try some decent products on my hair but they're hard to come by where I am. I used to have almost waist length, fairly tight curls (not sure what the 3a, 4c,etc, means but it was kinda corkscrew and thick). Then cancer happend and I can't encourage it past my shoulders

Nel Brown: Exactly they come up to me asking how my hair grow so long so fast cause I don't put all that crap in my hair.

dsx: I washed my hair every day, detangled in the shower and braided it before bed with a leave in conditioner. My hair grew to my waist before I bleached. It's different for everyone. I'm lazy and stooped doing that after college but now it won't grow if you have curly hair, a routine is just necessary.

Transcend To The End: My personal favorite is "What are you mixed with?" I have long hair so I must not be completely black. Yeah okay.

Jane Smith: And NEVER take advice from someone who has NEVER dealt with YOUR hair.

Eprahs: 4c naturals, we need yall to do more satisfying vids. No talking, just you brushing your hair and letting it spring back.

A'riel: I gave up and got mine locced. A heartbreaking experience I tell ya. Still trying to get over it✨I miss my curls but I can’t keep goin broke over care especially when I barely know what I’m doing, wasn’t raised to know how to take care of it they got me and permed my hair before I could make a choice and when I finally got my curls back it was too late.

Raven Vargas: Girl your hair is gorgeous I love your video. I hate when some people try to tell me black women can't grow long hair me "That's bs they can but some don't want long hair,"

Chakra Khan: BIG FACTS!! One thing that really helped my hair was washing weekly. But the key was a filter on my shower. Once the filter was catching all that chlorine and whatever crazy chemicals they allow in our tap water my hair really started to absorb and hold moisture

jnefitema yep: It's been like over 10 yrs and still learning but I love my natural hair and ain't thinking ab getting a perm, relaxer, or texlax. My hair is considered 4c but it's super soft.

Greta's Gift: That's what I tried to do teach my children how to do their own hair properly that way you don't have to worry about nobody's putting those spells on your hair and you know they do it just cuz they don't want you to have long hair.

Becky: Another tip is knowing your hair's moisture cycle. don't wait to moisturize your hair when it is already dry and brittle. This was a game-changer in my retaining hair length.

whatever: genetics and mental health also play a huge part

meh: Even as a white woman, I struggle with my hair and am constantly trying to find the right stuff for my hair- I can't even imagine how hard it must have been for you, great job with the hair care line!

Lorelei Catherine: I’m mixed and I’ve found what works mostly but it’s so expensive my hair takes backseat to my kids needs but one day I’ll take it out of the bun and get back to nurturing these poor locks of mine When I have the energy, I don’t have the time when I have the time I don’t have the energy and I try to make the time but when you’re sitting there, falling asleep standing up in the shower it’s dangerous, so I put it off another day and then another day turns into three months funny enough my skin care routine took a backseat and I started to do it again, and I started breaking out even more because my skin wasn’t used to the facial wash anymore. I literally now use hot water witch hazel with a little spot of rubbing alcohol, and that ended up being the best thing for my skin. So if I could find some thing that simple and easy for my hair, I might just be able to implement that. lol

Khadija: As an african with 4c hair i use to hate my hair soo much i use to straighten it using products treatments i used a lot of oils just to have a long hair sence i was child but girls trust me now this is my second year of nartural hair journey and i can see its growing it just need more care then other hair and ya im dark skin and is not always genatic lean how to love your hair and use product that suits you not which is famous

LaWanna Kelly: I've been natural for 2 years now at first I saw a little growth but now it seems like I'm losing more hair than I'm growing... I wear protective styles so my hair is hardly ever touched except when washing... No heat... Idk what m doing wrong... I'm this close to going back to perms cuz I can't do this... Being natural is not for everybody ‍♀

Lex: Girl that’s me I think my hair is like 3b or something but it stay frizzy and dry NO MATTER WHAT I can put a whole bottle of product in it it just eat it right up. I never wear it out/natural it’s such a hassle and a headache but I wish it would like nice bc curly hair is so pretty

McSuricata 305: The way the brush goes through your hair so smoothly GOSH I LOVE IT

FlowerGirlCaRmEn🌸: I have tight curls, so it puffs up a little and people be like”your hair is so short” or “your hair is so long”
