Best *Body & Hair* Products Of 2022

Hey guys and welcome to the very last episode of my best of 2022 Series today we're going to be talking about body care and hair care, which is really fun. I'Ve got some good things to share with you guys, so we're not going to waste any time. I'M actually going to start out with kind of like a random category, but we're going to talk about teeth. First. Okay, listen! I briefly mentioned this in my pregnancy favorites video, but it has to have another little shout out in this video. The bokeh element. Toothpaste you guys this changed my life. I know that's like a little bit extra to say about a toothpaste but hear me out, let's rewind to last year when my husband and I both spent way too much money at the dentist filling cavities. Now here's the thing I especially last year and the year before was really careful about how much sugar I was eating. So I was like why am I still getting cavities, I'm so confused the math wasn't mathing in my mind, so I went down a rabbit hole. I was like, I have to be missing something there has to be a solution here. I only have one set of adult teeth. I do not want to keep like getting cavities and having to fill them in and all that so a long story short. My friends. I came across this toothpaste thanks to Ask the dentist over on Instagram, so I started following this dentist on Instagram. He changed my life and he recommended this toothpaste. This has nanohydroxyapatite in it, which is an active ingredient that actually re-mineralizes your enamel on your teeth, and it can actually reverse small cavities guys, I'm not kidding, look into it read about it yourselves. I am so passionate about this toothpaste because my teeth have never been or looked or felt healthier in my life, and I went to the dentist this year and guess who didn't have cavities for the first time and even if I didn't have a full cavity in The past there was always like: oh let's watch that spot right. There there's always a watch spot and I don't have any right now and I swear to you it's because of this toothpaste. You guys, I absolutely love it. I wanted to find a toothpaste that had an active ingredient because I was actually using fluoride, free toothpaste in the past, which I had good intentions about, because fluoride is not the best for you if you swallow it. It works on your teeth, but I just knew there had to be a better option. So this is completely non-toxic. Kids can use this, they can swallow nanohydroxyapatite and it's not toxic, so just the best of all worlds, I'm so passionate about this toothpaste. You have no idea this toothpaste paired with this toothbrush, though life changing guys. This is the Phillips Sonicare Diamond clean toothbrush. My husband actually bought me this toothbrush, so I told him about the toothpaste. He bought himself one of these toothbrushes and then he told me about the toothbrush we swapped recommendations. Now we both use a Philips Sonicare Diamond clean, and this bokeh and both of us are just in love with this combo I've. Never in my life had an electric toothbrush that cleans as good as this one. I'Ve used an electric toothbrush for years now, so that wasn't new in my routine, but this one specifically the diamond clean, is next level good. It is so wonderful paired with this. It'S iconic. I also wanted to make sure to mention. I didn't find this out till like a couple months ago, it literally says on the back, for best results: do not rinse after use. This paste is non-toxic and works with contact time on the enamel, so I've had to practice putting this on brushing my teeth, but not swishing, my mouth out with water afterwards, so that the active ingredient in here has time to sit on my enamel and strengthen my Teeth and guys I mean I'm so thrilled, I feel, like my teeth - have truly never been healthier. Another find that my husband and I are both in love with is this tongue scraper right here, I'm telling you guys. I went down a rabbit hole to try to really perfect the health of my mouth to try to prevent cavities in the future, and I really feel like I found some amazing gems. So that's why I'm so passionate about them right now. I know it sounds so weird to talk about. You know toothbrush and toothpaste, but I swear to you. These changed my life, so this tongue, scraper, is really amazing. You basically just use it to scrape off your tongue, which sounds so gross, but hear me out it's really great for helping to remove any toxins or build up that are on your tongue, which is really great for the overall health of your oral microbiome, which I'm A little bit nerdy about so love this as well. Ask the dentist over on Instagram also recommended this balancing mouthwash, which I am obsessed with this - is from risewell. I don't use mouthwash every single time. I brush my teeth because again I like to keep the nanohydroxyapatite on my teeth, but if I feel like I need a boost of fresh breath, I will use this and this is really great because it freshens the breath while not killing the microbiome in your mouth, Because the healthy bacteria is actually really important for the overall health of your teeth, it's a whole thing. I'M telling you! If you dive into this world, you may never come out, because there are so many fascinating things to research, about oral health and how it really helps your teeth, and so I've been loving this as well. It'S very effective, really freshens your breath, but you don't have to worry about like it completely canceling out all the good bacteria in your mouth anyway love this stuff as well. So that's my tooth Health routine hope you enjoyed hearing about it. Look, I'm telling you this toothpaste might be my favorite find of the year here. I'M not kidding so try it out. Okay, try it for yourself and tell me if you have less cavities, because I bet you, you will Ain't, Nobody Got Time For Tons of cavities. Okay and they're expensive, the dentist is so expensive, so this will save you so much money anyway. Let'S move on to what do we have okay body care? Is next. I'Ve talked about this in so many videos. I feel like um on my channel, and I did mention it in my pregnancy favorites video, but I am obsessed with dry brushing, and this is by far my favorite dry brush I've ever found. This is from the brand higher dose. I just love the texture of this. This is their copper charge dry brush. I love to use this before a bath or shower, and it really helps with lymphatic drainage, which is another rabbit hole that I went down earlier this year. I'M kind of uh a little bit nerdy about microbiome in my gut and now in my mouth and then also I'm a little bit of a nerd when it comes to the lymphatic system. Okay, so really really love this. This is really great. It helps to move the lymph which, if you didn't know, your lymphatic system actually has to be manually, moved whether you move your arms and legs like with motion, or you can use a dry brush to help kind of get things moving. It helps remove toxins from inside the body, it's really great, to use before a shower or a bath or before a sauna. If you like to sauna it's an incredible product - and I just love the texture of this one - it has just the right amount of firmness to where you really feel the effects. It feels really really nice on the skin, but it's not scratchy to where it hurts. Some of them are like super scratchy, which I don't like this one is perfect. It'S well worth it. I absolutely love this speaking of baths. My favorite bubble bath of the year. Is this one right here from honest Beauty. This is the wind down bubble bath. I'M all set in the shade. You can tell oh look at my face through here, oh boy, in the scent calming Merv. This is such a beautiful bubble bath. It'S a very nice clean formula and the bubbles actually last a really long time. So I wanted to give that a shout out, because it's been my favorite plus the packaging is darling with this little wooden cork on the top here I love just keeping it right next to my bathtub, and it just makes me feel so pampered I I really Love that notorium launched body products I think this year, what maybe it was last year I don't know, but noturium gets an award for best body products of the year. I couldn't stop using them all year. My number one pick is: definitely the notorium, the Soother sensitive skin body wash. This is incredible: it's fragrance free, it's so gentle on the skin. It'S exactly what I've been looking for. I feel like before this. I would just have to use a fragranced body wash, which I found was drying and then other ones that weren't fragrance were kind of boring. I also love the packaging like having a pump on here is so convenient for body wash this one's. By far my favorite um, but I did get quite a bit of use out of the brightener vitamin C body wash. I love this stuff and I love how they have so many different kinds of body washes that are like effective, like it's more than just a simple body wash when you add in a vitamin C or a glycolic acid or whatever it might be. They do such a good job with these formulas, they're fragrance, free and they're, just so nice they're, so luxurious on the skin another product from notorium that stole my heart is the biolipid restoring body lotion. I love this another fragrance free product. This really hydrates the skin, but doesn't leave it feeling, sticky or heavy, which is great. This was like my daily moisturizer this year and especially being pregnant fragrance free products were key for me this year. I couldn't stand like anything that had too strong of a smell, so notarium really came in handy for me. I fell in love with this body polish from Lux unfiltered. This is the exfoliating body, polish, it's like a sugar scrub and it has just the most wonderful texture and smell to it. It'S so nice, oh, I think it smells really nice. This is one of the fragrance products that doesn't bother me. It'S not too strong of a scent, and it's actually really beautiful because it leaves behind such nourishing oils on the skin, so it exfoliates in like a really Gentle Way and then leaves you feeling really hydrated at the end. It also comes with this like little wooden spoon, which I think is so cute, so just very aesthetically pleasing and also such a nice exfoliating product for in the shower. I also fell in love with necessara as a brand this year. This is a brand that I had never tried until this year, but the necessary body serum became a favorite of mine again fragrance free super key for me this year being pregnant - and I love this. This has hyaluronic acid in it, and it's just like a serum for your body, so I was really really into body care products, especially fragrance free ones, with my pregnancy and my growing baby bump. I just really wanted to take care of my skin on my body. A little bit more than I have in previous years, so I loved this. It'S so hydrating, it's so nice, but it also absorbs into the skin. So I love to layer this underneath a moisturizer whether it was the notorium one or this one right here. This is the necessary body lotion, an amazing, fragrance free body lotion. These two together are a Dream Team. I love them both thoroughly still do and just love the texture of both of those, and I feel like it's very effective. I felt very hydrated after using those. Never sticky, which was so nice. This is a newer find for me, but I had to put it in this video. I just barely mentioned it in my November favorites, but it's still a part of my nightly ritual. I love this body oil from May Lindstrom. It says the happy Galaxy, it's the supercharged Body Oil. It is so luxurious the way that this smells. Oh, my gosh. I wish you could smell through the camera. It is so beautiful, but especially as I am at the end of my pregnancy, I have really really thoroughly appreciated and enjoyed any products that make me feel pampered and any products that help Soothe My Skin, especially as my baby bump has stretched Beyond capacity. You know like these body oils have come in very handy and this one's just a really special one. They sent this to me about a month ago and I just have been loving it. It has been in my night routine ever since, and I can't get enough, it is so beautiful and I look forward to using it postpartum as well just to help you know nourish my skin and just treat myself and kind of have a nice moment to myself. Here and there because it just smells like a spa, so it really is such a lovely experience with just the scent alone. I love this. If you can't tell it's beautiful, I discovered this product from the Allure Best of Beauty videos this year. This is the tree hut, moisturizing shave, oil. I got mine in Tahitian, vanilla bean, but they have lots of different scents. I love this stuff. It really makes your skin feel so smooth and it helps your razor Glide across your legs really really easily. I always thought using a shave. Oil would clog my Razor or dull it really quickly, and I actually haven't found that to be the case, or I thought I wouldn't get as close of a shave, but I haven't found that to be the case either. This is a really really nice nice product for just like a really nice luxurious, shaving experience, but then your Skin's left really soft afterwards, which is great, so I really have been enjoying this and it's so affordable too, which is awesome since this year was all about Pregnancy, for me, I have two belly oils or serum things that I really did enjoy this year, the first one being the summer Fridays baby moon belly bomb. This is a really nice rich, very hydrating, belly bomb. So this is the one that I would use at night, the most, but I love it. I think it smells really nice, it's not too overpowering of a scent which they did on purpose, I'm sure, because most of the time, if you're pregnant you're really sensitive to scents, so I really did enjoy this one in the daytime. I found myself using the ever eaten golden belly serum. This was actually gifted to me from my sister and I really really enjoyed this thoroughly as well. So my baby bump got quite a bit of TLC because of these products right here and then yeah more recently, a bunch of TLC with his mail is drum body oil, but these two are really great. I love them. You you guys know. I love my mineral sunscreens and when I found out I was pregnant. I had to find a good mineral body sunscreen to work through the summer. I hadn't really dove into the body mineral sunscreen world. I was really good about finding mineral sunscreens for my face, but my body not so much until I found this and I'm absolutely obsessed with it. This is so good. This is actually a baby product, but I love it. This is the mineral sunscreen from pipette. It'S fragrance free. I use this all summer long. I used this um when I went to Disneyland. I used this on my baby moon and it's just so good. I can't say enough good things about it and it's just amazing. I love how it's an SPF 50. It absorbs into the skin, but also leaves a gorgeous sheen on the skin, which is kind of nice, especially if you're in a swimsuit it just kind of makes your skin look really healthy, but I love this stuff. I think it's amazing. I'M really happy that. I found it this year. This has to be my most used fragrance this year, and that is the replica by the fireplace I absolutely love it, I'm wearing it right now I will say I did not wear perfume for a good chunk of the year when I was super super sensitive to Any fragrance, but now that I'm toward the end of my pregnancy, I can handle certain fragrances, and this is definitely one that I have loved so much. It'S a great fall fragrance as well. It'S so beautiful! It'S one of my favorites. It'S like a nice unisex fragrance. It'S just Divine like if you're in Sephora and you get a chance to smell this - do so because it's just such a special one. I know so many people love this, but I don't even care. I think it's so good. It never gets old to me all right, let's move on to hair products, so this is another product that I discovered from an Allure Best of Beauty, video and that's the olaplex clarifying shampoo. I had never tried a clarifying shampoo before so I don't know if this is the best clarifying shampoo out there, but I have really really enjoyed it. So I guess a clarifying shampoo is supposed to be used every once in a while when you feel like you have product buildup in your hair, and you just really want to kind of get rid of everything. So it's like a little bit more of a deep, clean um, you let the shampoo sit in your hair and it really does a good job at nourishing the scalp, but also taking away any excess product that my be built up in your scalp, really really love. This stuff wanted to make sure to mention it, because it comes in handy more than I thought it would. Briochio also launched two superfoods products this year that I love first of all, the briogeo superfoods avocado and kiwi Mega moisture mask. This is a really great like leave-in conditioner, and then this banana and coconut soft wave texture spray is also really beautiful, love both of them they're so good. I love the superfoods line from briogeo, so I was happy when they released those. This is an old product that I just barely picked up. Well, not barely. It'S been like four months now of me, owning this, the Bumble and Bumble prep a powder. Are you kidding me? This is like such an iconic old favorite in the hair world, so many people talked about this on YouTube years ago and I always wanted it never picked it up and then I finally bought it before my baby moon. I believe, because I wanted something that would travel very easily, that wasn't like an aerosol that would give me some volume for our photo shoot that we did. While we were on our baby moon - and I love this so much. It'S like a dry, shampoo and style extender and a volumizer in one, and I just really love it. So you just kind of tap it into like the roots of your hair and then just kind of like massage it into the scalp, and it just works really. Well, I can see what the hype is about, even though I'm so behind. This is a product that's been around for years, and so many people have loved it for years, but I'm you know new to this product better late than never. I guess I've really been loving this when I would take the time to do my hair this year. I actually did my hair more straight than wavy. I feel like then in the past few years, so it made me reach for an old favorite product of mine. This is the Bed Head after party. I used to use this in high school, so the smell of it really brings back a lot of memories, but this is such a great just like smoothing cream, for if I have flyaways it's so nice. I just put a tiny bit in my hands: rub it together and then just run it through the ends of my hair. I put some in earlier today. I feel like it gives really nice shine, but mostly it helps tame flyaways, which is a plus. I really love it, so I wanted to make sure to mention this as well. Another Allure Best of Beauty find that I actually am so in love with this is a hair accessory. This is the um, let's see, what's it called the hair edit gold French twist claw clip this is so beautiful in the hair, when my hair is up in a Twist. It'S just it's like a piece of jewelry for your hair. I love this so much and it's so effective. It'S a little bit sharp, but because of that it really really holds my hair and since my hair is getting a little bit longer, sometimes it's harder for me to find claw clips that actually securely hold an updo. But this one does a great job at it, so I've been obsessed with this like when I do my hair in an updo with a claw clip. It has been this one only since I discovered this, so I love it so much so. Last year for Christmas, I decided to ask for a straightener, so my husband bought me this ghd Platinum straightener for Christmas, and I have loved it this year, like I said, I'm not a Pro Hair, Stylist. Okay, you guys know my hair is up a lot of times, especially for when I'm doing videos just so it's out of my face, but I love this straightener so much it had been years since I had used a straightener, because I only ever did my hair Wavy or curly when I wore it down until this year, but I wanted to give this a shout out, because when I do fix my hair, like I said this year, it's been a little bit more straight than it has been in past years, and this has Been very key, I love this. I also wanted to mention this little handy dandy number right here. This is the Revlon. What'S this called One Step, volumizer hair dryer, so it's like a hair, dryer and hair brush in one like. I said you guys I'm not a Pro Hair Stylist okay, so I don't do my hair all the time, but when I do this was really really handy. I actually used it today to help smooth out some of the flyaways and just give my hair a little bit more of a Sleek look. But I've really been enjoying this. I still haven't been able to justify the Dyson air wrap because it is so expensive and again I just know that I I'm just not that good at hair styling, who knows, I feel, like everybody, loves the Dyson error app, but this was like you know my Attempt at a styling tool this year and I really did enjoy it - it's very inexpensive and I feel like the results are really nice. I definitely get the best results when I use this to really boost the volume in my hair, which I didn't really do today. I just kind of let it air dry and then I finished blow drying it and then, when it was almost dry, I used this to just kind of like Smooth everything out. You know anyway. I wanted to mention this, though, because it is a really fun tool that I did enjoy using this year when I took the time to do my hair. Last but not least, I wanted to talk about a boar bristle beard brush, actually that I love using to style my hair in Sleek hairdos. I don't know what I ever did before this. You can see how Sleek it makes the hair if you want to do a bun of any sort. Oh it's just it's so good. This one's double-sided um. I don't really use this rougher side as much as this side, so I probably could have found one that just had one side to it, but I'll link this one down below anyway. It'S absolutely incredible. This is a game changer. If you're, someone who likes to do Sleek hair looks of any kind, a boar, bristle brush is key and usually, if you just search like a boar brush on Amazon or like a beard brush for men, these come up and they work great for Sleek hairstyles. So I wanted to mention this as well. It'S one of my favorite things. Alright, you guys so that completes my hair and body episode of my best of 2022 Series.
