Hello welcome back today, i'm sharing with you my top five most used favorite hair brushes. These are the only ones that you need in your collection. Now i have a lot of hairbrushes, but these are the ones that i reach for the most, the ones that i'd recommend they're the best for your hair and they're worth the investment. But i will link some great alternatives in the description below as well and before we get started. I would love if you left a comment and let me know what your favorite go-to hair brushes, are all right. Let'S get started. The first brush is probably the most popular and it is the wet brush, and i have it in this super chic matte black color, but this comes in so many different styles, but i absolutely love this brush. It is so gentle on the hair. There is no pain and the best part is it detangles, your hair, so incredibly fast, but this brush has super bendy, flexible bristles, which makes it great to detangle your hair when it's wet, because these bristles are firm enough to brush through your knots but they're soft Enough that it's not going to pull and tug on your hair, which can create breakage and split ends, we don't want that and although it's gentle, you still want to start at the bottom, when you're brushing your hair and then work your way up and quick note, I don't often brush my hair when it's wet because it's more fragile and prone to breakage. So i really only use this if i'm going to be using the airwrap or round brushing my hair. But this is the only brush that i trust on my wet hair and my hairdresser uses it too. Next isn't technically a brush, but it's a staple and it is the wide tooth comb. This beautiful comb is from kristen s. This one is my absolute favorite. It'S actually the second one that i purchased. I misplaced my first one and i loved it so much that i had to buy it again, but these combs are so handy to have their teeth are meant to mimic fingers. So if you have wet or curly hair, this will just gently detangle your hair without creating more knots like a brush. Would it's also great to distribute products like mousse and oils? If you have curlier hair or in the shower to help spread out your conditioner, it feels so good. My only tip would be to brush your hair when it's dry before going into the shower, because these teeth are not flexible, so they can cause damage to your hair, especially when it's wet, but my favorite way to use this is after i've curled my hair. I just run it through it: gently breaks up the curls loosens them up and since these teeth mimic fingers, it's not going to disrupt the curls like a brush. Would the next brush is the round brush? So these come in. So many different shapes sizes kinds. You have small ones to curl your hair, larger ones to straighten your hair, but this one from olivia garden is my number one. It'S my absolute favorite. This creates the most beautiful voluminous blowouts, but this one is made of ceramic, which is my favorite type, because when it heats up it mimics a curling iron or a straightener, so you can create the most beautiful curls. With this, you can straighten your hair with this, and it leaves it so soft and shiny, and whenever i use this brush, i feel like my hair just looks and feels it's best. I actually used it on my hair today, but i have to turn the air conditioning off when i'm filming, because it's so loud and we're under heat wave. So it's very hot in here it's getting a little bit frizzy, but i love the way it leaves my hair, but since there is a lot of heat and tension involved when you're using this, it can be damaging. So i really only blow out my hair for special occasions or to teach you, but i feel like these brushes always spark the funniest comments. We all have round brush horror stories, but once you get the hang of it, these brushes are great to have, and i will link some blowout tutorials that i have down below as well. If i could only recommend one brush to you, it would be a nylon bore, bristle mixed brush. I love this brush. This is my go-to for every day, because it's so gentle on the hair. It feels so nice on the scalp and it leaves my hair so smooth and shiny. So you want your everyday brush to have nice, flexible, bendy bristles, but the boar bristles are too soft to detangle your hair they're more for smoothing it distributing your oils. So having the mixed nylon is really great, because these are strong enough to detangle your hair, yet bendy enough that they're not going to pull it tug it or cause breakage and split ends. But i have this one from mason pearson: it's my absolute favorite, it's just so gentle on the hair and it just leaves it so smooth and shiny. This brush actually makes me want to brush my hair, like i always look forward to it in the morning. It just feels so nice on the scalp, but you definitely don't need to invest in a brush like this there's a ton of great ones out there just want to look for ones that have mixed flexible, bristles i'll link, some really great alternatives below for you. Next up is the rat's tail calm. We have got to come up with a better name for this. It deserves it, but i have had this one for years. It'S so handy. It'S really great for creating like nice sleek parts zigzag parts, it's really good. If you're coloring or cutting your hair - but i usually use this for teasing and backcombing for updos and voluminous ponytails - i just find it's really gentle on the hair and it creates nice soft volume. But these are very inexpensive. You can get them anywhere just want to make sure that you get one that has flexible bristles. The only problem i have with these combs, though, is i'm always looking for it. For some reason, i always misplace this it just slides into the couch underneath my desk. It'S under things all the time, but i'm always looking for this comb now i know i said five, but i have to give an honorable mention to the beard brush. This brush is amazing and i don't hear enough people talking about it, but this is what it looks like it's really small and cute because well it's made for brushing beards, but it has these really flexible, densely, packed bristles. So it's really great for getting all of your fine hairs and just creating nice sleek smooth looks this is what celebrity hairdressers use, or so i've been told to create those really like trendy, sleek, ponytails and low buns. Honestly, nothing will give you a smoother finish than this, especially if you have like second or third day hair, just going to grab onto the oils, help spread them and create that perfect sleek chic look, so those are my top brushes and combs. I really hope that you found this video helpful. I will leave links to all of these in the description below plus more, but if you liked today's video, please give it a thumbs up. Thank you. So much for watching and i'll talk to you next time. Bye,

Alex Gaboury: How many hair brushes + combs do you use?

WhateverULike02: Thank you, Alex! This couldn’t have come at a better time. I need a new hair brush! Much love from Canada

Djamila Gina: I have been using wooden brushes since 2017. They are amazing

Trish Pipkins: As a curly girl I love my Denman and my detangling brush. I love the detangling brush so much and it's so cheap I bought one for my sister and one for my mom. They now only use the detangling brush. It's bristle arms aren't attached to each other so it very very gentle removes tangles. Perfect for someone like me with Medusa hair.

Heather Ramsey: I love that you actually style your long hair. It's almost like long-haired girls are so afraid all the hard work and patience will go to waste if they even brush theirs - Like, it will all just suddenly be ruined simply by taking a curling iron to it. I am growing my hair out and I'm hoping this type of paranoia does not gradually affect me too!

louise partridge: My fav n°1 brush and has been since I was about 10 I'm now 42 is " pearson and Mason, it was my mums saviour when I was young for brushing through my long notey hair !!!! Love it ❤

Mike Pavlis: As a dude with extremely thin hair trying to grow it out, this has been the best and most helpful hair video by FAR. Thanks :)

Kathleen Reyes: Thank you for clearing this up! I always get confused when I go to buy a brush as there are so many options

SoGorgeous 2: Mason Pearson brushes rock! Pricey but worth it. I have the same one. They also have combs.

M. J. D.: I have a classic TangleTeezer that I LOVE IT SO MUCH, a Wet Brush comb that I use to spred the conditioner in the shower

Jazzi Kao: Ladies don’t be afraid to use curly hair moisturizer/ moisturizing products on your THICK HAIR. I have naturally straight THICK and very long hair and without it my ends get sooooo dry and crusty sometimes. It’s been my trick to growing my long hair AND color treated hair. It also for what ever reason helps with my hair not getting super tangled through the day

Kristina Bertrand: Love all your hair brushes and combs Alex!!!
