Luxy Hair

Hey everyone welcome back to the lexi here youtube channel. My name is katherine, and today i'm going to take you through a few bridal diy hairstyles that you can do by yourself at home, because i want my curls to hold. I am going to be using a mouse today. I just use a little bit just to give it that extra bit of product to hold the curl. I like just a little bit so now that i have my mousse in i'm, going to blow dry my hair and then we'll get to curling and then the actual styling of it all. But i want to show the most because it is your wedding day. So you want it to hold. You want to look good in pictures, so mousse is key today. Okay, so now that our hair is dry, i'm going to go ahead and curl it. However, i want to note that you might want to curl your hair in a different way, depending on which hairstyle that you want to do for our first hairstyle, i'm going to be giving myself a pretty deep side part because we're going for that hollywood glam. Look! So, on either side of our face we're going to curl our hair away from our face so that it's opening up our face and showing it off. I'M gon na drop into my hand because we're brushing out this curl i want to make sure it holds as much as possible. So i'm going to be using some of our roller clips just putting this in place so that it holds a little bit longer. As i do the rest of them, if you don't have these clips, you can use bobby pins or whatever other kind of clips. You have it's just something: to hold the curl in place as it cools and as i do, the rest of my hair. So our hair is done this side, i'm going to repeat it on the other side um, but the bangs are going to be a little bit different because i want them to sit up we're going to curl it like up and away so that it falls over. If that makes sense, i'm going to have to switch it up here. Do that i'm gon na set it up like that. So i'm repeating the same thing. On the other side, i've switched hands because i am going to be doing it this way. The same way, i did it that way, all right so now that our hair is all curled and setting in our clips i'm going to take care of the bangs, and this is where they've been sitting. I put some heat on it as you saw and then i'm now going to spray it. I don't want this to move so i'm being very generous with the hairspray, so we're going to let this sit and cool down and then i will show you what's. Next. All right, so our curls have now cooled down. So i'm going to start to take my clips out and, as you can see, the curls are pretty bouncy, so i'm just going to leave them as is and take all of these out. First, before doing anything else, i'm going to take this out of my bangs now now, if you do have a little crease like that, that's totally okay, we are going to brush this out so before i brush any curls out, i'm going to hair spray them, and I want i want to separate my hair like that, so that i'm here spraying it to be bigger, rather than letting them sit here and hairspray there now it's time to brush them out. This is my favorite part, because it really brings the look almost to a close all right so now that we've brushed it out and it's a little bit fluffier, i'm actually going to take this side and secure it down behind my ear. So for this part, i personally like to use a pomade. I find that the pomade actually sleeks the hair down better than a hairspray, and it's more malleable, so i can do more with it. So i just take it between my fingertips kind of warm it up. A little bit and then i pull it through the hair of wherever i want it to be sleek, something that i have learned. The hard way is that you should be building this product, not throwing a ton on, because once it's on there, you're gon na have to wash your hair to get it off. I'M not sure if you can see those little baby hairs up here, but i want to get rid of those because in pictures i don't want my baby hairs coming out. So i just literally do this with the pomade like leftover pomade, and i want my hair to stay up so i'll kind of just run my fingers through my hair, and i find that it just calms the baby hairs just enough. Another thing i like to do is once my hair is brushed out and looking how i want it to look i'll go in with the hairspray again to really set it into the place i actually really wanted to be in. So this is our first hairstyle. I personally love this. This is one of my favorites now, if you are worried that your hair might flatten through the night and not have that volume that you're looking for, i highly suggest getting a set of our extensions and cutting it to your same length. So my hair is the 16 inch length so popping in my 16 inch extensions curling it the exact same way, whether it's on my head, curling or off on the deluxe styler totally up to you, but it will add that volume. This is how much hair i would be adding to my head. If i did this okay, so let's say you love this hairstyle, and this is the hairstyle you want to do but you're like catherine. I need something more to it. I need a little a little bit of spice. I got you, don't worry, i'm going to be using our gold clips and it's such a simple add-on that does so much just take it and and there you go, there's a little bit something else. The hair not too much not too little, it's just a little bit up to add something to it, so for the second hairstyle i'm going to be using this curl and kind of running off of this look in a little bit more of a sleek manner. So i'm actually going to be doing a middle part pulling this hair over. I know we just curled it like this, but we're going to be tucking it on both sides of our ears. Now, if you're doing this hairstyle you're, probably not curling it all to one side and then pulling it over, so i am going to just curl this hair. Now this way, however, if you're doing this just curl it this way in the beginning and you'll be good to go okay, so for this hairstyle we want to be taking these front pieces and actually securing it down behind our ears. So one of the ways you can do this is to take the hair and secure it right behind your ear, with a little clear elastic there we go and then we're going to repeat it. On the other side there we are. Oh, my god. I love this. Look so for this next look. I am going to be putting in my 16 inch seamless set because i'm doing a half up half down and i simply do not have the volume on the bottom of my hair when i pull half of it up. So i'm going to go ahead and insert my extensions basically just want to get the top literally the top layer of my hair, and i am also using a boar bristle brush for this, so that it is as sleek as possible. So i'm going to hairspray my hair like this and then take the boar bristle, while that hairspray is still wet, really sleek it up. So because i want this part to be very tight and secure, i'm going to actually use one of our gravity. Defying hair ties. These are a game changer. Anybody that i get to try them immediately asks how quickly they can get them now. I know you don't want to have their hair tied out in your wedding photos. Don'T worry, we are going to take care of that. So now i'm going to take my 16 inch seamless set, as you can see, it's pretty much the same length as my hair, so i'm really just adding volume so now that my extensions are in i'm going to go ahead and actually curl them so that they Blend in with my natural hair - and it looks like one seamless head of hair all right, so we want to cover our little hair elastic here. So what we're going to do is take a one clip weft i like to just kind of wiggle the weft underneath slash in between the hairs and then i start wrapping and then i brush out my underneath hair ponytail and there's the look. So our next look is going to be a ponytail and there's a couple of ways that you can do this, so the first way to do this is literally with a ponytail extension. Now i like to recommend this for people who maybe have very thin hair that even adding a few extension pieces to their natural ponytail just won't give it that that they're looking for so to do it with a ponytail extension. I'M going to put my hair into a bun clip in the ponytail extension and style it. However, it is that i want my hair to look that day now. The way our ponytail extensions come is exactly how i want it to look basically a curl in it. At the end, specifically, i'm going to straighten it a little bit throughout the base and we'll be good to go. Do i personally really love this straight sleek pony, especially with a very simple dress? I don't know there just says something about it, all being so. Sleek and simple so another way to do a pony, if you have some extensions, is to basically just pin them around a little mini base. Ponytail is what i call it: pin your extensions around that and then pull the rest of your hair into the ponytail with it. So i'm going to go ahead and do that and show you the difference of what that looks like compared to a ponytail extension. So this little base ponytail, i'm going to put my extensions just around here to add the volume now that all of my hair is back there. It kind of feels like a bit of a chaotic mess, but once i brush it down and then once again, i'm going to take and secure that in there and that's the low pony with seamless extensions versus the ponytail extension. So what i'm going to do is take my boar, bristle brush and brush back the back half of my hair and then i go in with the front pieces pulling them down and back then i secure it with a hair tie and on that last loop. What i'm gon na do is just leave it like this, so i did it as a ponytail and then on the last loop. I just pull the hair through a little bit and bun that little piece of hair. We have a couple of options here. We can leave the hair open, we can twist it or we can braid it. So i'm going to just leave it open and kind of style it around it, but play around with it figure out what you like the best. But there are a few options as to what to do with this tail and that's the bun. That'S all for today.
