For this haircut, we're going to do a classic barber haircut, we're going to do a flattop, we're going to bring the hair down to 3/8 of an inch on the sides and we're going to bring the top right down and leave it nice and square. So, as you're doing this haircut, you want to picture this square shape in your mind. Okay, we're doing a square shaped haircut and the head is round, so obviously the hair has got to be longer in the front. It'S going to be longer in the corners in the back, we're going to we're going to round the back end, so it grows in nice and smooth. So the way we're going to do this is we're going to take our three-eighths blade on the Clipper. We'Re going to go straight up the sides and we're going to blend it into the top that's already there, and the top obviously is already standing up and then we're gon na go through and cut the top and level it level it right off. So the first thing we're going to do is we're going to get the sides and back completely shaved up shave down the taper and everything finished off. So by the time we get to the top. That will be our main thing. We'Re going to start out on the sides in the back and to get through this amount of thick hair. We need a powerful detachable blade clipper and we need a 3/8 blade. The benefit of using a blade here without attachment over is it's going to go through the hair, a lot smoother and, as we work our way up to the top, it's going to keep cutting as we pull it away from the head. So we're taking the imaginary line straight up in the air we're going to get those square corners, so we're going to start in the back we're going to work on getting our Center guide and run straight across the column, taking very small sections. If you take sections that are too wide you're going to wind up with a bunch of lines and then in the top, ok, so we go all the way through and then we call them the hair straight back and I'm going to go through it twice. Just to make sure that we got it all so I'm going to take the center section go through the center section, splice pay for the finest style we're going to take a little bit more of the light wax and this clients hair is a little stubborn in The bank, so we want to put just a little bit of extra wax just in the front and get that standing straight up and then we're going to take our rubber brush with the fine teeth. I'M going to brush the hair straight up and then always make sure when you're putting the wax in the bang area has a tendency to get a little bit on the forehead so make sure we get it cleaned off the forehead and then we're going to give You a nice, saw 360 view.

I know you don't want a 23 year old kid giving you advise on cutting hair, but being a 5th generation barber comes with tons of advise over the past 3 years. I don't think there a wrong way to cut hair but a better way

iEricWong: Commando Rick lol
