Hey everyone kaley, your friendly neighborhood, hair stylist here and today is the best time of the year. It is christmas morning, hairstyle time this is a long-standing tradition. On my channel i will link the playlist of the previous, is it seven or eight years now? It'S a lot of years a lot of years. The whole idea behind this is to have hairstyles that are quick and easy to do on christmas morning, so that your hair looks good. But it also serves as inspiration going in to the next year so that you always have the quickest and the cutest hairstyles to rock. So i hope you guys enjoy this. Let'S get into it. This year i am theming the hairstyles a little bit and our first one is a girly hairstyle for the short hair hairstyle, which can work on long hair. I'M gon na be pulling out a headband and using an old favorite technique, making it a little bit new you're gon na need a headband that goes all the way around and is a little bit stretchy and you're gon na put that into place. First, if you want to sweep back some hair, you can do that now. We'Re gon na start on one side and we're gon na take a little piece of hair and wrap it around the headband and we're gon na keep adding in more pieces of hair. Whenever we run out of the first one, given that my hair is a little shorter, i only get one or two wraps per section, and then i pick up the next one. If your hair is longer, you might not need as many sections and once you have the hair all wrapped around. You can pull it apart, a little bit to cover any little areas where the headband is showing and once you've done, that you just repeat the same thing on the other side, all righty. And then, if you want, you can add in some little bobby pins here and there to make sure everything stays in place, but that is it for the short hair version of the girly hairstyle long hair time. We'Ve got anna laura and her beautiful hair here and she's also going to do kind of a twisted hairstyle for the girly version. First thing: you're going to do is make a ponytail with the crown of your hair. Second, you're gon na grab two large pieces from either side of your head, bring them together in the back a few inches down from that first ponytail, secure them together, then twist them once by doing a little topsy tail. That means you flip your ponytail between your hair and the ponytail holder for the very last trick. You'Re going to twist the hair and in between where the hair crosses over and the hair tie you're going to pull the first ponytail through and then you can just tighten up the little bottom ponytail a little bit and you're done. There'S your curly hairstyles! I love this one because, it's surprisingly easy and surprisingly fancy yes and now for something braided, we have our boho vibes. This goes out to all of you guys who have been repeatedly streaming, folklore or evermore, or both in me both the short and the long version of this hairstyle start the exact same way: you're gon na part, your hair to the side and then you're going to Start doing a french braid down the side. What you want to think about as you're doing the braid is on the side away from your face. You want to make sure that you're picking up hair from really close to the braid so that it doesn't end up wrapping all the way around your head. Then, once you reach about your ear, you can stop french braiding and start braiding, normally for a couple more inches, secure your place and then pull apart, the french braid. Now, when you pull apart, the french part of a french braid, you want to look for the loops of the braids so like right here, and you want to pull on that versus the hair. That'S coming into the braid that way: you're really going to accentuate all the braid bubbles, without accidentally creating any looseness in the braid and without confusing kind of the shape of it. So for the shorter hair version, i'm just going to pull this back so that it just sweeps along the front of my hair and i'm going to pin up and into the braid to hold it in place. And if you want it to be a little bit more secure, you could pick out a clip or a barrette or something it right there as well, and this will definitely work even if your hair is much shorter than mine. I just wanted to give you guys that option, then for the long hair option. Yours is easy: you're just going to pull your hair over into a side, ponytail and secure it with the scrunchie. If you need to you can go along the nape of your neck and add in some bobby pins, so you don't have any flyaways throughout the day. Our next category is trendy and hair trends currently are very, very minimal, which honestly can really work for us. With this prompt, so my first one is a classic clip. Hairstyle, just gon na part, your hair down the middle, bring it all to the back, discover a random bobby, pin you're gon na twist the hair put it up against your head and fold down any hair that would be unwantedly spiking out of the claw clip grab. Your claw clip of choice and clip it in and i'm gon na loosen up some stuff around my face, and that is my trendy hairstyle now this can easily be made more festive with a more festive sweater or festive colored claw clip, i feel like if you Wanted to make this one a little more christmassy, you could grab some kind of like blingy bobby pins. I do feel like keeping things really minimal and sleek is very trendy, but i also want to feel christmassy, so i'm gon na add sparkle. Just me casually wanting to feel joy, you know casual joy, okay, sparkles are in so now i feel the holiday cheer. Okay, now for the long hair version we're going with sleek, because that is another trend. That'S been coming around you're gon na be parting. Your hair down the middle and pulling your hair back into a little ponytail, but be sure to leave out any tendrils that you might want and an efforts to make this cool and not like my classic ballet bun. I'M going to coax this hair little forward like a swoop little curtain, bang moment and then you're going to twist the hair into a little tiny bun. Pin it in place and you're done. Our final category is christmas. Cheer, i'm not even kidding. You may remember, when i used to do tacky christmas hairstyles we're bringing that energy back right now i'll link those above for my short, slash, medium hair, we're going to start by putting your hair up into as much of a high ponytail as you can. You can make this a half updo if needed, now grab a scrunchie that is a similar color to your hair and secure the ponytail. We'Re going to use this to make a bun. You can do this with a half updo as well you're just going to fan the hair around the scrunchie so that it looks like a little palm tree and then just very casually like take the ends and pull them around while leaving this stuff covering the scrunch Boom secure with bobby pins all right, it looks a little funny right now. Here'S what we're gon na do grab your scrunchie of choice. Mine matches, my sweater put it over the top boop and now you've got a cutie little bun. I still want mine to look a little bit more messy, so i'm gon na pull it apart. That is how you can fake having a extra large bun with not so much hair. Let'S just go ahead and let down some baby hairs if you want them to join the party, if not hairspray them back for the bun, slash ponytail option grab the baby hairs that you can find these guys and give them a little twist and pin up with The rest of everything else we're going to hide them in just a sec. Sometimes after i do that, i take a little bit of like slack and just pull it over the top and pin it. And then you can't see it, and now we decorate with sparkly hairpins for the bun i'm gon na. Do it along the back of my hair. This especially helps with baby hairs. If you're doing this as a half updo, you could do it along the top or pick one side and have them kind of like gently cascade up towards the bun or from the bun, whichever way, but i'm gon na jingle bells jingle bells jingle all the way. Oh, what for annalara's christmas cheer hairstyle we're using some christmas lights little fairy lights, the fun thing about the christmas cheer hairstyles is that you can do them with any hair length. This would obviously work on my hair. We honestly should have switched but nah poor planning. Oh wow, i like the lights so for it you're just going to get a string of fairy lights. These are just from amazon you're, going to measure it across the top of your head to see how far it needs to go and then you're just going to keep doubling it up at that length until all the cord is accounted for. Then you're going to put a circle around your head and at the top you want to part where you want the lights to sit, and the very first thing you're going to do is: lay your new headband across the top and pin it in then. For the back you're going to take the little tiny battery pack put it against your head and use a really strong snap clip to hold it in place. Then you just let down your little hair circle and you're all done, and that has been christmas morning. Hairstyles 2020.. I hope that you guys enjoyed it. Tell me about your favorites down below uh.
