Hey so i'm gon na do a video explaining how i've managed to improve my hair situation with incredibly fine and very thin hair. So by fine i mean the actual individual strands themselves are incredibly thin. You can barely see that and by thin i mean i don't actually have much on my head um as well. So it's the least amount of hair combination, so um. For many years i tried to grow long hair and it looked it looked like it got chewed on by something honestly it it never looked good um i'd get to maybe here and it would be very thin and wispy on the ends and just not not a Good look um. Every time i went to a hairdresser due to the condition they just lop it off and i'd get a bob which bobs don't suit me. So that was not great and i don't really see really much online for people with very fun or very thin hair. It'S you know. All these long, hair youtubers have gorgeous thick hair. I'M gon na go through my tips. Hopefully this will help you. I wish i'd known this stuff years ago. That would have been amazing, but here we are had to learn it myself. So first thing is brushing, so this is my main brush. It'S the tangle teaser wet brush. Now i don't brush my hair when it's wet. I just got the wet brush because it has a handle and it's exactly the same as the other ones, except i think, with the other ones. You can like pull this out or something and there's like a gap behind. Obviously you don't want that with a brush. That'S going to get wet so there isn't that gap and, as a result, it doesn't um make as loud of a noise. Some people complain about the noise with tangled healers. It sounds like your hair's snapping or something, but this isn't nearly as bad um, because it doesn't have that hollow chamber behind kind of resonating the sound. So that's my like detangling brush and so how i will use this brush is um. This is a very big point. This is the biggest point of anything. Is you need to brush your hair really carefully, especially if it's as fine as mine is so you take your hair and what you will normally see? People do is they'll start up here. You do not start at your roots if you start at your roots, any tangles that are all along here get pushed down and as they get pushed down, they become tighter and the tighter they get the harder it is to get it out of your hair and Your hair will just snap if it's warm like mine, so what i do is just slowly work my way up like this. If you do come across, i just had this braided, so i probably won't have any tangles but um if you do come across a tangle. Just stop brushing take your hair and you're going to just slowly pull individual strands out of the knot like that and then once that's gone then you can work your way back up again so start at the bottom. At your ends, very slowly work your way back up and then you should be fine um. I have two other types of brushes. I have a boar bristle and i have a wooden brush. Um. The wooden brush is very good because of these rounded pins and it moves quite a bit. This is quite good for getting really into your scalp and like cleaning your scalp and keeping your scalp massage, which is good for hair growth. So that's quite good, and these also help to drag oils from your scalp down the shaft of your hair. This will also drag oils down the shaft of your hair, except this isn't going to really get through your hair um. So you really kind of need to work in sections even on fine hair which any brush, usually you can get through. Fine hair ball. Bristle really won't um. So you don't want to use this for detangling because it won't work um. But it's quite good because say you want to redistribute oils on your scalp down the shaft of your hair. If you use this or something like this, what will happen is because these are getting into your your roots and your scalp. You can over stimulate your oil production on your scalp and going into another tip, i'm going to talk about in a moment. Um. You don't really want that. So you can use this which won't really get into your scalp and that can redistribute the oils without the over stimulation problem. So that's why i have three brushes next thing. Is i wash my hair very infrequently? I used to wash it every single day, sometimes twice a day, because when you have really fine and thin hair - and i thought i had to - i thought i really didn't - have a choice because i'd go. You know you'd read online, that oh, you have to stretch your washes. It'S good for your hair. I just i'd get to like day two and i look like i'd face planted in an oil spill. It was rough, so multiple reasons, uh why that was kind of as bad as it was and how i improved that um i used to brush my hair way too often, i'd have it out and thin and fine hair tends to tangle really easily so i'd have It out and i'd be brushing it multiple times a day which um i didn't used to have these sorts of brushes. I used to have like normal, like plastic bristle brushes and because i was brushing it multiple times a day. I was over stimulating my scalp without even realizing it, so that was problem number one. You need to try brush your hair as infrequently as possible. Then just stretch your washes. You know these people say your hair will get you sweet. Your hair does get used to it. I thought that was a load of hogwash, but it's really not you do get used. Your hair does get used to it over time, which is kind of creepy, but uh when you are stretching watches washes. You need to wear styles that will hide it. Um, that's really hard when you have fine hair, because there aren't that many ways to hide your scalp, because you don't really have that much hair to hide anything with. So i braid my hair um. It used to be always down the side, because that was easy for me, because i'd never really braided much before and obviously you can like see it in the mirror and it's easier. But now i do it down the back. Generally, it's less in the way less prone to get caught up in my sewing machine um accidentally, so uh wear hairstyles. That will hide it um. I don't wear hats generally. I don't really like hats. I don't know they just feel weird. So that is an option, though, if you're into hearts like beanies, when it's cold, that's about it yeah or you can just be like me and never leave the house and then nobody sees your hair. So who cares right so you need to kind of get used to the oil, and then your hair will eventually get used to the fact you're, not washing it as much um. Now i wash my hair at the moment, every four to five days somewhere in there. In between i wear a shower cap, i do not get my hair wet in those four to five days where i'm not washing it like at all. So i wear a shower cap. This is one i have. I got it off etsy, it's got shiny things and flowers, you know what's not to like, but it's got a satin lining, so this stuff will not grip to your hair. So it's very good for your hair um. I quite like that. Um next thing, i think a lot of the complaints you get with stretching washes is you'll start noticing dandruff, because you're not washing your hair as much so. Obviously, your scalp's not getting cleaned as much. So you need to clean it via other methods, which is where my wooden brush comes in, so you're going to brush your scalp thoroughly every day without trying to over stimulate things, obviously and you're gon na do that for as long as you feel you need to, And like really press on your scalp to try and get rid of any dandruff um and then get a finer brush like that one or like the ball bristle and get rid of the dandruff. That'S come loose out of your hair, so you do need to still clean your hair. It'S just not with water, because water can be very damaging. Um next thing with washing your hair is uh, don't use sulfates. I don't think it really matters for people with normal hair, but when you have very fine hair, like i notice such a difference, when i stop using sulfates in my shampoo silicons, i can't notice a single difference because i have dead straight hair. So it doesn't really do anything for me uh negatively, but sulfate, my hair just improved so much after i stopped using shampoos with sulfates um i for probably five years. I mainly used one called organic care, which is you just buy at the grocery store. It'S like four dollars for a bottle like that big, it's really cheap. It'S got no sulfates in it and it's vegan and cruelty free and all that good stuff too. So that's what i've mainly used and um yeah. It'S it's insane difference! I'M! I was actually quite shocked with how much of a difference it made to be honest. Um so definitely recommend avoiding sulfates. You need to be incredibly gentle with your hair when it is wet. So i have these little like hair turban towel things, so this one's bamboo. I think it's from uh leela rose the people i get some of these hair clips from, but i'll show you in a minute, i'm not associated with them. No, i buy them off other people who are associated with them, so no advertising um but hair towel, and it really does help cut the drying time um, especially as your hair gets longer. It'Ll take forever to dry. So after you wash your hair, take your hair like that and then just kind of flop. It forward grab your hair. Towel. Put it over like that. This isn't really going to look the best with dry, fluffy hair but um you got to get it in the towel and then you just twist it and then put it back over and then there's like a little button on the back. As you can see, that doesn't really work when your hair is dry, but you get the idea and then you leave that on. I leave it on for like half an hour and then it my hair's mostly dry by that point. It'S still quite damp, but it's not like wet um and then don't brush your hair when it's wet yeah i've seen people with curly hair recommend brushing your hair when it's wet. Apparently it helps to define your curls or something. If that's what you want to do. That'S great, if you have dead straight hair like me, there is no reason for you to be brushing it when it's wet you all that added um weight in your hair strands and then the fact that your hair is swelling with that water, you, it you're just Gon na break your hair, i used to touch my hair and brush it and whatnot when it was wet and it was just breaking it and i didn't even realize, because it's also you don't hear it as much that it's breaking when it's wet. So it's hard to tell um so wait your hair's dry, you're gon na have to time it like make sure you're not needing to touch it when it's wet um, so wash your hair at a sensible time of day that works for you, um when it has Finished um drying then put it in a protective style which i'll talk about in a minute um. Other things with washing your hair is don't put don't put um shampoo on your ends, because it'll dry out your ends and obviously, like i don't know, hair down here. It'S probably like five years old or something you know it's been around a while. You got ta, be careful with it. You don't want to dry it out. So that's bad! So don't shampoo your and shampoo just your scalp and you need like to use a little bit um, not a whole pump. Next, you don't condition your scalp, you condition from eye condition from my jaw down. That'S just how i do it um, but you just just don't condition your scalp there's. No! So no need to do that. Um next thing, i'll talk about is protective hairstyles, so this will include buns and braids, mainly so, and it's not just the style, it's important. It'S what you use to put the style up so for braids or um, even a ponytail um. It'S not really going to protect your ends much, but it will keep it more out of the way um than just leaving it down so satin scrunchies. They are amazing. So, just just regular satin fabric again, just like the shower cap, it doesn't grip. Your your hair and um side note also get a satin or silk pillowcase. I have satin. I really don't see the difference between satin and silk. If you know, if silk is better, please inform me i'd like to know um, but satin scrunchies and certain pillowcases. They don't grip your hair and so they're a lot easier to pull out um the scrunchies. Obviously so i'll use that and also the thing with scrunchies is because um how they're made basically is just like a little strip of elastic and then you'd get a tube of whatever fabric you're working with put the elastic in tie it up and then sew the Tube closed and you have a tube, that's too long, so when it when it's on the elastic it bunches up like this. So what that's doing is that's actually helping to kind of spread. The pressure that the hair tie has on your hair out a bit more um because there's so much fabric rather than being on this very fine point, because if you use hair ties all the time in the same spot, you're going to get breakage, you should try To put a hair tie, if you are going to use them at different points, so if it's at the bottom of a braid trying to braid here one day and here the other day - and you know here and the other day, they try to vary it um. Not put in the same place every day um, but if you sat and scrunchie it shouldn't cause that much of an issue. I also use these little things at the bottoms of braids when i don't want a massive scrunchie in the way um they're. Just these clear little things and they break you know the reason why that's important is because it's gon na break. It'S not gon na break my hair, because i don't want my hair to break, but i don't care if that thing breaks. Obviously, if you're kind of more environmentally inclined little single-use plastics, not great, but i use them so next thing hair sticks, so i use hair sticks for buns, um and they're very, very easy to use once you get the hang of it, but i also use these Which is kind of like a hair stick but kind of not so there's the stick part, but there's this like it's. It'S like a like a hair slide kind of um, so this will go over your bun. This stick will go through your bun and they kind of hold they're made of wire. So there's a bit of flexibility to it. So it gives you a little bit of wiggle room to work with, and these hold incredibly well and they're pretty. If you have really fine hair, it's kind of hard to do like intricate, pretty hairstyles um with how little hair you have so adding some bling kind of helps in that situations like i really like them, they're from a company called leela rose um, so you just Find someone who is a distributor for them and yeah there's like a whole bunch of different sizes, so use them because they're not going to catch your hair you're, just sticking something into your hair and you pull it out and your hair's fine. It'S not really applying any real pressure, it's not crushing. Speaking of crushing um, i hate bobby pins and i think they should all be just melted down and just destroyed. I hate them. I cannot stand them they if you have fun thin hair. You probably know my pain, it like crushes your hair and it won't let go of it like. I hate them, they're impossible to take out impossible to use with fine hair they're awful so with um my hair type. I use these things. They'Re, like these u-shaped hairpins um, i believe they're cold, and so they don't crush your hair. Now, they're not going to hold in the same way that a bobby pin will so they're. Not you know you can't use these for like holding your hair back like this. It just won't work but they're, very good for buns and you use them the same way. You would use a hair stick, so i have a bun in my hair. You push it into your kind of scalpel like that and then push it down and then in. If that makes sense, so get those instead of bobby pins bobby pins are the devil. These are good, they're, they're way better for your hair um. I will use these things if i do want to put like hair back um. These are usually for kids, because kids have very fine hair, but you know what i'm an adult we're very fun here so, but they just snap closed like that, and so it's not going to catch hair or anything do be. Careful, though, make sure you get good ones because sometimes some of them the little i don't know you call that rivet bit here can catch your hair and then that's not fun to deal with um. So buns braids, that's what your your go-to really will be with protective hairstyles so and they're quick, you know putting hair up does not take forever once you get the hang of it. So i'll just show you how quick a nautilus bun is for me, which i'm not going to show you how to do it. Just google model bun it'll come up. There'S probably 50 bajillion videos about it and then my hair is in a bun. That'S it and then, when you're ready to take it out, just pull the stick. These are good. If you have like kids or nieces, i have nieces and they like to you know, pull things because they're kids, so they're they're a bit harder to pull out because i've got those little like notch things. So once that's in your hair, that's that's quite hard to pull out um accidentally, it's usually intentionally but yeah um, so braids buns. I probably have my hair out like this. Like a one percent of the time, it's rare, it's usually up or in a braid next thing i want to talk about, is um products to put in your hair. A lot of people are very, oh. What masks do you use in your hair? That'S what i don't use hair masks um. That seems like a lot of benefit, so i will use oils in my hair, but mainly um, mainly before i'm about to wash it or like sometimes the day before i'll put the oils in. Let it sit for a day, then wash it out um. So i use jojoba and a few drops of lavender oil so get a whole bunch of jojoba and just massage that into your scalp make sure it gets in there. Nice and good. You can put on your ends and stuff as well, and then i put a few drops of lavender oil through my scalp as well. Um thing to note about jojoba is: it is a sealing oil um, so it will seal this. Your strand of hair and moisture won't be able to get into it um. So that's why i don't think jojoba is very good for our hair type, because it tends to be very low porosity, which means it's not able to absorb water like moisture very easily, and you need a certain amount of moisture in your hair for the um elasticity Of your hair, so if you use jojoba um all the time, that's not not great um! That'S why i do it just before a wash, because then i'm gon na wash it out. So just keep that in mind um. It is very good say that you are struggling with getting moisture in your hair is very good like have a shower, while your hair is still a bit damp, not like soaking wet but like a little bit damp to the touch. Um put some jojoba oil on it while it's damp and it will trap some of that moisture in your hair. It'Ll still dry, it'll feel dry to the touch and everything but it'll help with the issue of um low, porosity, hair um. So that's it in summer which it is here in australia. At the moment i will use a leave-in conditioner, just sprays on um and then i'll use this serumy thing um, and i will do that. The day after i wash my hair and then that'll stay in my hair until i wash it, that's all the products use in my hair. I don't use anything else in my hand, that's that's it um. You need to cut split ends. Now there is a myth that you need to trim your hair every six weeks or something that hairdressers like to spout constantly. That'S not true you're trying to go along here. You want to cut it, as you know, infrequently as possible, because if you're growing it out of your scalp and then cutting it, you're not going to get longer hair because you're just cutting off any growth you did have. So this is my here's mine. I got them from scissortech, my hair scissors. You need to cut your split ends. If you see a product that says oh can repair split ends. It can't there's no such thing. You can't replace a split end once hair split it split. There are products um like olaplex or whatever, that can kind of help hold it together a bit. I know for a while um kind of a temporary measure if you've damaged your hair um, but i just i really don't think that that's necessary. So these are my scissors they're. I think they were called so zoo, black diamond essential or something um. This is just the tension and they're extremely sharp, so very careful um and i will just um. I recently had to cut off four inches of my hair um, because there was still some hair left over from when i didn't used to look after it as well, but you're just gon na go through your hair i'll see. If i can find a split end. Uh there should be like one or two by now from when i cut it, just gon na go through your hair and you'll be able to see a split in. It looks like a little y shape at the end of your hair. Um split ends doesn't like. If you have thin and wispy ends, it's not necessarily a split end. A split end actually is an end with a split in it. So if you have like fine wispy hair towards the end, then people keep telling eh. You have to get rid of your split ends. You don't but they're, not split um that it's just you have fine hair. So i don't know if i can find any split ends actually might be too soon after that trim yeah anyway. So what you'd do if you did find a uh split end? Is you just grab the hair? The split ends on and i cut about, two centimeters off um, which is like nearly an inch four-fifths of an inch. I guess um and i'll just take that my little hair and i'll just cut that that hair off and then that's it and i'll just go through my hair, see if i can find any split ends, you can twist your hair and like any hairs that poke Out look at those um because the thing in splits will happen at the end of hairs and there's ends of hairs all through your hair, because hair isn't all the same length because there's growth phases and because there's different growth phases, like your hair falls out, keeps Growing um, you never have all the same length hair on your head. It'S just not possible unless it's a wig, i guess, but so you need to look at the hairs that are up here, make sure they're not split uh, for example, um general damage so sunlight, very bad for your hair. So try to keep your hair protected if you're going out in the sun a lot uh. Chlorine is horrific for your hair, especially the combination of chlorine and sunlight um. So, like you get chlorine in your hair and then you go out in the sun. That'S just killing your hair, like it's, your hair's already dead, but it's destroying your hair. So i would not would not recommend that so wear like a swimming cap or i've heard i don't really go swimming um, but i've heard that you can soak your hair before you go swimming in non-chlorinated water. So then your hair's just filled up with the non-chlorinated ones. When you go in the pool and get your hair wet, it's that's, not the water, that's soaking to your hair, because it's already been soaked other than that um. Obviously don't use heat on your hair. If you can avoid it, i will occasionally blow dry, my hair, if i was like way too tired to shower the night before um or like not shower, but like wash my hair the night before and i was supposed to then i'll wash my hair in the Morning and then i have to go somewhere so then i have to blow dry my hair, but you can get around that with just the whole hold it quite far away use like the cool setting, don't use like the super hot setting um, but i never straighten My hair um, not that i need to, but i don't straighten my hair um. I avoid blow drying. It'S probably like once every four months i have to blow dry it that's all. I can really think of so um yeah. I hope some of this was helpful. I hope you learned something i will include some pictures of how my hair used to be for you to be horrified by uh and yeah. So thank you for watching. I actually hope this helped, because i wish i'd known this stuff years ago, um and yeah. Thank you bye. You

Long Hair Carolyn: Such a useful topic!

Kat's Hair: This is literally the first video I’ve seen explaining how to grow long hair that is almost exactly my same density. Thank you ❤️. You’re hair is beautiful

bik: Ah! So happy to see a video for fine, thin hair! I have been growing my hair for 10 years. Had it down to my mid thigh, but recently cut it up to my bum. Its very fine and thin. I believe I suffered hair loss while going through puberty as a teenager without knowing it because I used to have so much more. Anyway, so happy for this video! Seems like everyone in the long hair community has crazy thick hair so it's really difficult to find videos about fine, thin hair. Thank you for making this

Brandie Vaughn: Yes girl so glad your making YouTube videos. For years I kept searching for girls with fine and thin hair that are growing it out long. So glad I found you on Instagram!!! Thank you for all the hair tips they are super helpful!

brenda okuda: I've always had fine thin hair like yours (I'm almost 60). So happy to finally find someone who is taking the time to make a video for people like us. One thing I'd like to add is the use of headscarves/ kerchief. I always hated hats....plus they just looked awful on me. I picked up a scarf one day and decided to learn how to do a few wraps. Completely changed my life! They are wonderful for hair protection, look chic, and cover greasy hair. I only wash mine about every 2 weeks. You are a beautiful young lady. Thank you again

dreamingbybus: Like all the rest of the women here with fine hair, I'm also very happy that you made this video, thank you!! How long did it take you to grow it this long?

Alicia DuPuy: My hair varies in thickness from strand to strand. Mom taught me early to brush from bottom, but ive not heard about not brushing wet. Im going to try that from now on

Tyhe Ferenc: Found this as my last resort and hope of growing my hair long. My hair is fine and thin just like yours, I never had it past my shoulder and always dreamt of having a longer hair. Tried everything but seriously these tips opened my eyes. Thank you so much for this video! You are a life saver! I cut my hair short again couple of months ago and will try to grow it back. I coloured my hair a lot before and it didn't do well. Broke a lot, was very hard to maintain. This time I am going full virgin hair, and will try all the tips :) hear more in two years if I manage to achieve it! I have a question, how often does your hair shed? Interested to know because I have seasonal shedding and it always scares the shit out of me not to mention at certain length my hair just starts falling more and then I cut it just because I get scared again

Marie Miranda: Thank you for this video. Finally a video where someone talks about fine thin hair that actually has fine thin hair. I'm totally in the same boat as you, my hair look exactly the same and I'm trying to grow out a bob and it's soooo hard because I hate my thin hair, always have. Looking at your hair I can see that it is possible

Fine Natural Hair ROCKS: I've got fine afro-textured hair, and I can say that I totally agree with everything you said!

AmericanMeetsWorld: Thanks ebony! My hair is thin fine and curly! It’s bra strap length but has plateaued there for years. I’m sure if apply some more of these tips it will grow longer. It’s really interesting that thin fine hair needs same care whether it’s curly or wavy or straight!

Morrigan Midnight: This makes so much sense! My hair has been better without the brushing as often and I started not washing my hair often a while ago now, so my hair is used to I go normally 4-6 days depends if it's super warm! But I still struggle with the really thin ends as I'm growing it but alot of these tips will help alot! THANKYOU!! ❤️

Sydney Starry: Finally a video focusing on thin/fine long hair!! :)

Lost Foster: My hair is also as fine as yours and I have been struggling to grow it out. I have learned so much! Thank you!

somegirlsomewhere: These are useful tips, coming from someone who actually has thin and fine hair. I never thought of bobby pins as damaging till seeing this x

Angelica Johansson: Thank you for sharing all your tips for fine hair. <3 I have found out that most of what you said is accurate, at least for me with a similar hair type as you have. I had a brush with wooden pins or what it's called, but I couldn't use it because my fine hairs got stuck between the pins and the mat inside the brush. (I don't know the term for it, English is not my native language.) I will try sulphate free schampoo to see if my hair likes it. I have struggled a lot trying to find any products that my hair like. Right now I only use products from Kevin Murphy, since that is the only thing that makes my hair smooth and not frizzy. I will also try some of the hair styles you showed to see if it helps. I want to avoid using hair ties. :)

Alanna: I have fine thin hair too, but i've always been able to grow it long. I used to wash and condition it everyday, but I've cut back due to it being so greasy. Definitely only brush when it's dry. My biggest problem is hair fall, since my hair is so fine and thin I mourn each strand lol.

Sea Gypsies Belly Dancers: Nothing wrong with fine long hair! Why do we think fine hair is wrong? Thick or fine hair just be happy xx

jenalley1995: Thank you! This was super helpful and informative! My hair is pretty long to begin with (comes just below my bra) but I’m trying to learn how to take better care of it!

Janine Dear-Barlow: Remember, sulfate free shampoo can't remove silicone condition. So if you aren't washing it out it will build up. Tight hairstyles brakes fine hairs easily. Macadamia oil works wonders on fine hair for stopping tangles, but you only need a tiny bit. I love scrunchies but those little hairbands are really bad for braking hair. I find buns pull too much on my hair and causes hair loss but I have a lot of hairs and it's the weight of it. Don't go bed with wet hair, it causes hydro fatigue, which will destroy your hair. If you blow dry it get at least 80% percent of the moisture out first.

C. Lehmann: Great video, informative and concise - thank you! Also, I think your hair looks beautiful :)

None Of your business: Thank you. My hair is like this but curly. I stopped washing it all together and it has helped a lot.

Anna Nilsson: I was told by a hairdresser years ago that i just probably couldnt grow long hair because of genetics and that my hair's life cycle is just shorter than most people's. I was never told any of these tips back then, and so I just gave up on my dream of having long hair and never even thought to do my own reseach until recently. It has grown passed my shoulders for the first time since I was like 12! I dont think my hair will ever grown all the way down to my bum, but this video gave me hope that maybe i can manage to get it to below by chest at least. I have extreeeemly fine ( fine, not thin. I apparantley have a lot of individual hair strands), naturally light blonde, scandinavian hair. Its colored dark brown atm, so i dont really know what to do about that whole situation. Maybe there are nice gentle toners i can use on my roots. If anyone has any recommendations i would love to hear them! I know that hair color-removers/strippers contain a lot of sulfates so idk. One thing i know for sure is i'm never ever letting bleach come anywhere near my hair ever again haha. Thank you so much for this video! ❤❤ Its so so hard to find videos and information regarding hair care for extremely fine, brittle hair! My hair is not severely damaged or anything anymore, its just so so so brittle because of how fine my hair strands are. I'm definitley going shopping for some satin stuff this week!!

M J: Finally a youtuber with my hairtype That was actually helpful, thank you for advice❤️

Flora Troy Meyer: I have the exact same texture, amount, & length hair as you :) macadamia oil is excellent for our hair. Moisturizing but not heavy

Julie Caron: Oil treatments changed my game. Just mix coconut oil with castor oil (75% to 25%) and if you find some, add mustard oil (10%, you can find it cheap in Indian stores) and argan oil (10 %). Apply to scalp and all the way to the ends on dry hair, BEFORE shampoo. Leave in for about one hour or even overnight if you wish under a plastic cap, THEN shampoo. Amazing results each time. I do it once every week and a half.

GoddessReverieRose Hawthorne: I have 2b/2c fine hair, not as thin as yours but fairly thin and easily oily. I use a wide tooth comb in the shower starting from ends with a conditioner that helps a slick comb stroke. It’s the only time I brush or comb it. It’s finally growing past my chest lol. Soft scrunchies, Shea moisture miracle leave in on my ends, frequent monthly small trims, etc are important for me too too. My only issue is I can only manage every other day washing, otherwise my hair turns into a frizzy mess; sometimes 2 days if I can do a refresh day. I love your suggestions for spacing out the wash days!

uggu piggu: i like how you explain the why of something, much more informative than the majority of content on the topic. also so so pretty, thank you c:

Jerzeegurl524: Although my hair texture is totally different from yours, I think I can use still benefit from some of your advice because my hair is very thin and very fine nonetheless.

iced mocha: Finally someone with the same hair type as me

Tasmia Tabassum Ruponty: Believe me my hair is quite exactly like yours and I'm so happy to see that cz i can relate to you and yes all the YouTubers have genetically healthy hair.....that made me more depressed..and when ever my friends or some family members sees my hair they're like oh your hair is so thinn even in salons they say it ...like they r sad ..when i was little i didn't know what they meant but now oh this shit hurts i got my hair from my father but my mom has very beautiful healthy hair...in here where i live people are petty or like ....they dont like it at all ...but I'm happy with my hair i just need to grow it then it'll look better i was depressed because my fiance told me that i had big forehead and thin hair that he adores but i took it personally idk why so here iam and please keep up with your work i really really loved you I'll keep you in my prayers

Madison Binkley: Can you please keep posting more hair videos? Your hair is similar to mine and very inspiring

Kiara Mehta: I have the same hair! been using olaplex, would you recommend it? my hair just doesn't grow below my breast and I have tried everything possible

bingo bongo: i think silk pillow case is a little better than satin, it seems to have less static when sleeping on it. i am a very restless sleeper so this is a plus for me. you can get get them for a good price on amazon. i do use satin for my scrunches though, since those (ideally) aren't moving around in your hair

bridgetgidget72: You’re awesome thanks for the advice!

Erica Renee: thank you! i can tell you really understand hair and fine hair especially so thank you so much for sharing

greenknitter: Good advice but my hair is like yours but I have to wash it at least every two days, sometimes every day. I tried stretching it out but it just doesn't work for me, it gets too oily. There's nothing wrong with washing it every day so long as you're gentle and use a gentle shampoo (watch Dr. Dray, she does it and she's a Derm.) Can recommend a shampoo bar, has made my hair lighter and fluffier.

Juliana Rolón: thanks for this video and your advice! The whole Internet is full of incredible hair but that is not the reality of many people.

Judy White: All my hairs say “Thank you!”

madhura patki: Oh my god...Finally someone like my hairs...I'm not alone...Thank you so much for video

Euonym: This is fantastic!

Ari October: I do have slightly higher hair density than you, though still rather thin, and I too struggle with very fine hairs. I do almost all of these things too!! I do still use sulphates but I scalp-only wash with conditioner all down the length while I do it, and then condition again when I've rinsed out the shampoo. Only reason is because I haven't found a sulphate free dandruff shampoo that I don't have to order offline. I agree SO MUCH about bobby pins, they're the actual worst ever. Snap clips forever!! I also have found that tiny claw clips can be really good for securing braids. I just have to make sure to get the kind that doesn't have the metal spring exposed, cause my hairs can get caught in it. A lot of scunci brand claws have plastic that covers the spring which is super helpful. My hair hates coconut oil too, I can only use tiny tiny amounts and only on dry hair never wet. Anyway overall: Yes, yes yes!!! To all of this!!! Fantastic advise, this vid could save a fellow fine-haired person's life!!!

Lindsey Hamilton: I would suggest you research fast hair growth shampoo to double hair growth.

Allie: Could you possibly list the brands of the product that you use?

Clacolusa Shalom: if I don't wash my hair and leave it greasy ... at that moment it falls off. I wash every other day.

Verona Mckay: Thank you! ❤️ Love from Tasmania xx
