Hey everyone. Thank you so much for being here today. My name is Denise. I'M also known as hey wig sister on Instagram and Facebook. Today, I'm here to bring you a wig review in partnership with name brand wigs. This is Trend alert by Gabor. You guys, oh my gosh. I love this such a cute style. I kind of lost it when I did the unboxing on Instagram kind of unusual for me, but this is an adorable style. It is in the color SS cappuccino and the color code, for that is gf12-22 SS. This is actually a heat friendly wig and I'm going to tell you all about it. So if you want to know more, you better stick around every now and then I come across a wig that blows me away that I'm super excited about, and this is one of those wigs. Thank you so much neighbor and wigs for partnering with me to bring this review to everybody. I am so over the moon with this style. If you guys have not seen name brand wigs before you can go to their website www.namebrandwakes.com, they are wonderful. I'Ve been a customer since the very beginning of my wig wearing Journey. They have a great customer service team, great support. You can email them support namebrandwigs.com. If you need help, you can call them they're there for you and they definitely are there for the wig wearing Community by allowing so many of these reviews to be out there. So thank you guys. Alright, everybody. Let'S take a look at Trend, alert from all sides. I do not think I could be smiling any bigger this style. It'S just completely right up my alley, not only that, but I've always wanted to you know I have a. I have a number of human hair - wigs none this short, but I've always wanted to try to attempt a curl pattern like this. It'S kind of in right now I see it all over social media, there's lots of kind of hair videos that aren't wig related that people with their own bio hair and they show how to curl and style - and I see them do this and I just have No idea how to do a curl like this and that my friends is the beauty of a synthetic wig, because you don't have to know how to style hair when it comes to synthetic. This is going to hold the style, even if I wash it. Even if I wear it a ton of times this curl pattern, this wave pattern is going to stay intact, no matter the weather, even if I get stuck in rain and that really excites me and one of the huge benefits of synthetic now. This is a heat friendly synthetic, and so you can style this with heat. You can straighten it. You can add more curl. Now, heat friendly wigs do require a little bit more maintenance, but not so much when they're short like this. So This wig is a good length because it's not going to rub up on your clothing and as long as you're gentle with it and you don't sleep in it and you don't put hats over it and you know create a lot of unnecessary friction on it. You should get a good amount of wear out of this one and you shouldn't have to care for it a whole lot. Now you do need to take heat to heat friendly, wigs, to keep their fibers intact to keep the ends from getting frayed and Frizzy, especially if they're rubbing up on clothing and when they're. Not you don't have to do that. As often I do have some videos showing how to do that now, I don't really have a lot of wavy heat friendly pieces that I wear regularly, and so I haven't really had to care for heat friendly pieces with waves or curls. I mainly have worn straight, but you guys I'm going to wear this one. This one is now in regular rotation. I love it, so I hope to be able to bring you some good um, maybe tip Tuesdays and some updates on how it's wearing over time. Now this wig does have a lace front. It also has a mono part. It'S a left mono part for my week, sisters that don't part on the left left going to the right. That'S going to be a disappointment, but it does keep the price point down somewhat because it is more expensive for the whole top to be monofilament because, that's all hand tied, and you guys, you must see this lace front. It is stunning and undetectable look at how good that is we'll do that again, it's so so good! It'S so realistic! Now, Gabor, along with Raquel Welch they're, both made by Harry Ware, bring all of those highlights. If you get a highlighted piece, they bring. Those highlights up to the front and that helps with the realistic hairline, because then you don't see dark knotting on a rooted wig. A potential drawback to that is. It does have a little bit of a banding effect on occasion because of all those highlights ahead of a root, and you can kind of see that right there I don't mind and look at how much it brightens up my face. If I want to wear this up, I can put a claw clip in. I can put some bobby pins in it. Just brightens up my face so much when I do that, and you can really see that change when I bring it down and then you get some of those darker colors, we will cover color a little bit in this video. I do time stamp everything in the description, so, if you're not here for anything but color, you can skip ahead to the colors section. But I like to point that out. It'S not a negative in my opinion, but I do know that we're all different. So I want you to be aware on a highlighted piece they do bring. Those highlights typically bring them up to the front and how much they're up there, how much of a banding effect that will have will truly very very from piece to piece. So just keep that in mind and um having realistic expectations really does help a lot on the wig wearing Journey. Now this piece is what I would consider a moderate density. It'S not super light density, it's not heavy density. It'S really in between, and I know that's hard it's like well. What does that mean and density really is somewhat of a subjective thing. Really I mean, what's super heavy to me: may not be to you if you grew up with super thick full hair, which I never had, and so a little bit of subjectivity is involved in trying to determine you know poof volume density, but I would say this Is a moderate density? There is some because of the way that they've they've got this curl pattern. This wave pattern there's a little bit of a stack here. You know there is a little bit of volume down here. This really looks like a hairstyle that you took time to cultivate. You know you spent time round brushing your hair to get some volume. Then you added a few little waves with a curling iron. It definitely looks like you spent time doing your hair. It doesn't necessarily look like a shake and go. It is a shake and go because it's a synthetic, but you know if you want to look fun polished put together, then this is a great style for that. I would wear it for every day. I'D wear it for everything, but just to point that out now there is a tiny, tiny bit of permatease right at the crown here right in there. Nothing super pillowy poofy a little bit of crippy fibers on the sides as well, not a whole lot right here, but kind of right around this area. We'Ve got some crimpy fibers and that's what contributes to the roundness of this look and the Polish of this look. If you don't like permatease at all, I don't want to say: don't try this one, because it's super cute, but you know the new wig wearer who's been losing their hair for a really long time might feel like. This is a bit much because you've never had hair like this before, but it's not heavy permatease, it's very appropriate for this style and I just want to encourage all of you think about permatease as sometimes it's heavy and sometimes it's overdone. That does happen, but a lot of the time, it's specific and it's purposeful to help a style hold and and have shape in this case without the permatease. Here you might get this kind of a look with effort at the beginning of the day, but with gravity and the heat of your head. This is going to slowly, droop and flatten out trust me. I'Ve got some wigs like that and when I used to work outside the home, I do work from home. Now, most of the time I began for 10 11 hours by the halfway point of the day. My hair didn't look that great anymore and you know in the beginning. You don't mind that, because it's realistic, but after a while, you kind of look forward to the fact that you're always going to have fabulous hair with a wig, and you do get kind of sad about that. And then we've got that mono part right here. They'Ve done a really good job with this. This, I would just say this is a very, very well done. Wig we've got the lace front and it's pretty extended goes to the ear tab. Almost we've got a nape that is not extended and then we've got velcro adjusters, which I really appreciate. The rest of it is open. Wefted, there's your mono part: that's all The Parting space that you get so if you're not used to or familiar with mono part wigs they're typically, you know, you've got a party space and you don't have a lot of flexibility in that parting space. So that's what you have here so nice, you guys! I just really like this, so This wig weighs about three and a half ounces, which is a good average weight for a wig of this length, not heavy um and honestly, when you get too light and when you get to uh low density, you run into problems With wefts potentially showing when you're outside in Wind, so I do think that they did a really good job with this one and the density. So if you wear this and you're going to be outside at all, and the hair is blowing, it's gon na blow naturally and look natural but you're not going to have to worry about it, giving away that it's there's a wig there because of the way that They constructed it, they really are experts and they've done such a good job with it. Let'S talk about fit Gabor wigs do run pretty true to average. I do have this cinched in just a little bit. It'S hitting me very comfortably. I have a two and a half inch uh two and a half inch 22 inch circumference and it's fitting me great with a little bit of cinching. So I would say, if you're true to average up to 22 and a half you're going to fit this really comfortably now their wigs do have good stretch, so even bigger than that. If you get, if you're used to wigs being a little snug on you, then I think you're going to be fine with this one. It'S definitely fitting me true to average a little bit bigger than average. I do get a little bit of extra cap on the top, I'm very petite over the top of my head and that really helps with um the fact that if you're a little bit bigger than me, I think this is going to fit you as well. So really true to average, you know: they're not terribly big, head friendly, but they have a lot of stretch and I think that really helps they definitely don't run small. I get really good coverage on the sides with Gabor those uh ear Tabs go exactly where I like them. They have a lot of hair sewn in on the sides here which really helps with bio hair coverage, especially in a color that doesn't match my own bio hair. I love that you can tuck Gabor wigs, they do tuck really easily and you could, let's just I'm gon na, look in the mirror over here, because you know I put it on and then I didn't really readjust it. So if you want to tuck one side, sort of smooth it out and then leave the other side a little out and wild, that's super cute. You can tuck both sides. I mean you, don't have to wear this full, I'm particularly loving it because of the style, but if you want to tame it down and just run your hands through it, you sure can do that. I mean there's a little bit of flippies right here because of the wave pattern that they put in, if you don't like that, just take a hot air brush a round brush and a hair dryer, or something like that and you can tame those. This is heat friendly. After all, so you can take heat to it, add more curl or straighten it out. That will be absolutely no problem. All right. Let'S talk about color SS cappuccino. This is uh. The color code is GF 12-22ss. So this is a light. Caramel brown, with a blended platinum blonde, highlighting throughout and darker Roots, now SS in the Gabor Line, Stands for shadow Shades. This is a shaded root color when they shade the root. It'S not a long root. It really looks like a shadow and it's not super dark or super prominent, and they do a really good job of diffusing. Some of the lighter color. So it looks very natural. A color like this looks like you've. Had your hair done at a salon, there's no way around that, and so, when you've got a really highlighted, color like this and you've got a little bit of a root that adds a ton of realism, and I think it works well for both brunettes wanting to Go blonde and even blondes wanting to go a little bit darker and I think that it's just really really natural looking and I really love the effect that that shadow root has, but again they diffuse it. So well, it's always going to appear darker on video than it does in real life. It'S just the nature of the beast when you come to lots of lighting and how the camera processes color and I don't alter color in post-production, I'm not good at that. First of all, and second of all, it is what it is, so I always try to explain it as best I can, and I do go outside which we'll do in a second, so you can see that outside now you can see how beautiful that color placement Is lots of caramel Platinum, varying tones of both? Now this is running neutral to ashy. This definitely is uh has an ashy Dimension to it, but it doesn't really look gray and I think the caramel helps that now I already filmed the outside and I did talk a little bit about you know, I'm a I'm 51 and as a woman of a Certain age, I am gravitating a little bit more toward the more ashy colors. I still do wear my warms and my auburns and my Reds, but a lot of the time I like these ashy colors, they just feel more natural and they seem to look more natural on me, and I think this is a good one. If you're trying to maybe transition away from some of the warm colors that you used to wear - and let me just tell you - I've got their website up right now, so this is SS cappuccino. They also have an SS iced cappuccino. The difference is the iced cappuccino. Is a little bit there's a little bit more contrast and maybe just a little bit more neutral to ashy. So this color code is 12-22. The ice cappuccino is 10 Dash 22., so um gosh it would be worth potentially trying them both to see which one you like, I think I used to have uh I used to have that color. I don't think I do anymore, but if I do I'll do a color comparison, video for you guys and honestly, if I don't the next time, I have a chance to review A Gabor wig. If it comes in that iced cappuccino, color I'll get it, because I'm keeping this one and I'm wearing this one so I'll be able to do a color comparison for you all right. Everybody. Thank you. So much for watching. Thank you name brand wigs. This is a winner. I will be showing you this outside in a second, and if you have any questions, please let me know I'm always happy to answer and help I'll talk to you guys in my next video friends. Here we are with this beautiful color outside it's a little windy, so hopefully it won't blow it's nice to see how it moves, but hopefully it won't blow too much so that you can actually see the color. This color guys is so good if you're looking for a more ashy sort of light brown dark blonde, it's dynamic, it's so pretty. I really like it because it's I don't want to age limit it, but for my age at 51 um, I don't know it just feels right to me. It'S probably wrong to say, because I'm sure there's a lot of younger women who would love this color too, but if you're looking for something with no warmth, it's not super ashy, though maybe more neutral to ashy, and this wig, I'm madly in love, I'm so good. Thanks for watching all right for those of you who saw my unboxing on Instagram well, you know that I was smitten from the moment. I put this one on my head. You know sometimes a wig just grabs me and doesn't let go, and this is one of them now I recognize this is not going to be for everyone, but if you generally like shorter Styles like this, I really recommend it now. I think the manufacturer pictures look quite different from the one I have so hopefully there'll be a lot more reviews out there and you'll be able to see if other people are getting one that looks like this. I think they did some styling for those photos which has impacted how it looks, but I mean you guys saw it right here out of the box. This is exactly how it looked. I also did a styling video on Instagram. So if you don't follow me there, let me know and I'll try to get it uploaded here as well.

Brenda Ay: I really like Trend Alert! Can you, please, try to find sister wigs/similar ones to show us? The style is definitely a trend many of us would love to explore.

Sally Biondo: Absolutely gorgeous on you, Denise! Thanks for the great review. I might need to add this one to my wants list

Kelly Fargnoli: You’re just beautiful ❤ that’s an amazing piece and you sure do it justice. I love a lot of reviewers but honestly I would name you wig reviewer of all time!!! You are my inspiration ✨Love yah

Shar W: I love this wig. I have it in this color and the 10/22. I am 57 and born a brunette, this so far is the best color for me. You look fantastic!

Michelle Richards: I love this one Denise. I have it in Ss biscuit and sugared licorice which I found on clearance. Love love love them!!! Enjoy it!❤

Sally Bucket: I can tell you are really excited about this style. Thank you for the review! I am 53 and have similar coloring. My natural hair was brown with warm/red tones but now I am grey. I can't seem to find the right shade, but it's ashy with brown bits. Nothing like I used to have. Thin, fine, it's a mess. I can't feel "pretty" without the wigs. Anyway, the 12/22 feels much better because it's so ashy. I'm not quite ready to be "gray" probably psychological more than anything! But grey looks so old on me. Yuck. But 12/22ss is just the right shade to be ashy and still somewhat youthful. 17/23ss is also a bit more ashy and I can pull that one off without feeling "old." I do love the caramel colors on you too so wear them because you still can! You are beautiful!

Clara: Great style and cut I'm gravitating towards shadow roots not keen on long roots for myself. I don't have Instagram. Thanks Denise

Lynn McKenzie: I LOVE this style and am ordering one!

JCfan68: Ok, the look on your face when you put her on, brought tears to my eyes... Perfect on you!!!

Sheila Carter: You look so beautiful in every one of the wigs I have seen on you

Donna Q: Beautiful on you Denise, I love this wig, just a bit concerned about the density.

Teena Covert: I found my Trend Alert in SS Cappuccino too be much more ash than my In Charge. Did you find it more ash in this Gabor?

Shasta Moon: You are not allowed to wear any other wigs! This one is perfect for you!

Maria Daquila: Gorgeous on you

Gina Stanley: Hi Denise I AVE been watching you for some time now I AVE just found out my hair is going very thin I am struggling at the moment

sapat: Very cute. Im not on unstagram so would like to see addl info.

Sharon: Lol! I just branched out into some reds and I'm 64.

Dippity-Do: hi hunny ould this fit a 23 inch head denise i have a big headso i was wondering before buying this please let me no thanku love ya candi xo
