I really want to try this haircut. The haircut in reference is the very iconic butterfly cut, similar in style to the wolf cut but longer and flowier, hence the very appropriate name, since I don't happen to have a ton of hair myself, I'm doing good on my wig. I don't know the best part that haircut is called the butterfly haircut. They couldn't have given a cuter name. We have to do it. Let'S try this beautiful haircut. As I mentioned, I currently have a buzz cut. You can probably see that yourself. So I'm doing this on a wig. The first thing I'm doing is wetting the hair, because it is much easier to cut anything on wet hair. Then I'm brushing it through, even though brushing hair when it's wet is not super ideal. But I'm doing this on a wig and I'm really just going with it. I am following a tutorial whilst doing this haircut, so I'm doing this for the first time with you guys, however, I am going to walk you through every single step so that you can do this as flawlessly as I want you to the first thing. We'Re doing is we're sectioning off a triangle in our frontal bone, theoretical eyebrow to eyebrow and going quite far back in the head, then I'm sectioning that into three pizza slices and because I am the worst YouTuber ever, even though I've been doing this for eight years, You cannot see what I'm doing, but I just took that very middle slice and I took it out about 10 centimeters in length and I'm just chopping that then I'm taking the other slices over directing it to the middle section and chopping that off again. The idea is that we're creating 90 degree cut, so every single section that we're over directing to the front we are keeping at a 90 degree angle and chopping kind of straight. If you cannot tell this haircut is extremely layered, then I'm simply taking more and more sections from the back of this triangle, dragging them forward to meet the original guideline and cutting it as I want to, because this wig is a bit longer than I wanted to. I just cut off a few inches from the bottom re-wetting it and now it's time to start cutting the back of it again. We'Re going to follow the exact same cutting technique, we're taking sections from the back, dragging them to the front over directing them finding the original guideline and again cutting it to match. This is going to be one of the most layered cuts you're ever going to wear, but it is going to be stunning anything that needs even hang out I'm evening out and then I'm continuing this over Direction until I reach the hair all the way at the Back of the head, basically every single section was over directed to meet that front thing and then I'm just adding in extra fun layers. This is now where you can really just start to play with it. You can do splicing, you can do Point cutting. You can add extra layers if you want it even fluffier, bouncy or whatever. The whole point is that it looks super Shaggy take my word for it. It'S going to be one of the nicest haircuts ever be protectant and Color Wow Dream Coat to help with the phrase and shine once you got to roughly this stage or you look like that guy from stranger things with the very iconic haircut. It'S time to use your product and we're going to start styling our wig. Now this problem is most likely only encountered by myself. Don'T worry this shouldn't happen to you if you're doing this on yourself or on your friend. However, if you are doing this on a wig make sure to pin it don't be an idiot like me, anyways brushing it out and we're going to start styling it. I want to try this today for anyone who didn't recognize the product from it's. A very, very short Cameo: this is the pro blow blowout set. These are really incredible: brush roller combos that wait for it, detach from the handle in one of the coolest most Innovative product designs. Ever I'm just blowing the hair under this is going to help build volume and create that really beautiful flow rolling it up. While it's constantly giving it heat and then when I feel like it's styled, I simply detach the handle clip it together and there. It is. This is actually a really amazing product that is actually superior to the classic velcro roller, because this actually retains heat. So as this thing cools down, it is still giving out heat, which is just further setting the hair, which I roller, unless you're using a hot roller. Wouldn'T typically do so. This is actually such an incredible Innovative product. So I'm going to be continuing. This styling pattern all up the wig. You can do this on yourself. It is actually incredibly easy. It just takes a bit of maneuverability with your hands the front. I obviously ran out of the provolo brushes because I lost half of them. I swear to God. My studio is messier than most, but now I'm going to have to resort to normal, rollers and brushes, which is very disappointing, but it does the job all the same. The thing that is going to make this haircut so iconic is the very bouncy bouncy front. I'M super excited to see how it is so now it's time to glue it on it's going to be a tiny bit difficult foreign. If you're doing this haircut, like I'm doing it I.E on a wig, I either remove the rollers before or style the wig. While it's already on your head, this was not. This was very challenging. I didn't know what the hell I was doing. I couldn't see exactly where the hairline was. I was genuinely just counting on the wig. Looking okay, okay, let's start removing all my extra weight foreign once you're, looking like an 80s roller skating Pro, it is time to start styling it genuinely. This thing could not look more 80s and also like Manny from Ice Age. It is my favorite comfort movie to watch and this Fringe moment was making me think of him. So much tell me, you guys, don't see it anyways. I need to style this. So I'm just very gently nudging the hair backwards and like this you can see it is gorgeous. This thing was one of my favorite, most beautiful haircuts that I've ever tried it's giving 90s, but also modern tick tock. I think I might have given it a tiny bit more volume than it needed, but uh this is it. This is my favorite part. Does this look like a wig, I feel like it doesn't really look like a wig actually really for it. Oh don't mind me: it just looks like I'm a mom doing my school run in the 90s. Wait! Wait now that I'm here I want to try it. No trust me when I tell you you're, going to feel like the absolute bitchiest you've ever felt in your whole life with this haircut. There is not a style, not a cut, not a look that is more dominating than this one. It has so much body. It has so much Secrets, it is just it is Dolly Parton, but in the 90s on Tick Tock it is insane it'll give you confidence like you've, never had confidence before and every time you flip your hair. This thing is going to follow you around. Your hair is going to be your own fan moment. It'S like Paparazzi could be here and you're ready for it, because this is how you look. This haircut is 100 worth the cuts that I endured butterfly cuts, whether you be trying it absolutely you will. You will because you're going to take my word for it:

RandomGirl: I know you said your engagement has been way down since you buzzed your hair, but I honestly love seeing you get to try so many different hairstyles, colors, and cuts with wigs that you otherwise wouldn't be able to (or at least not in succession). Also I'm currently growing out a pixie so I love getting the hair growth updates!!

Jill Jones: I lived through this stage of hair cut I was in Junior high and Farrah Fawcett was the Model everyone wanted to look like and her hair style was called THE SHAG! And here I am wanting a iconic hair style AGAIN LOL

Baishali Ray: But honestly this looks so much better in a wig, can't imagine the woes to go out with that hair without styling it. Just a cut that didn't look good(with that similar hair texture like the wig originally) without styling but a bomb after styling...

Marija Srdic: Got this haircut 2 months ago and I adore iiiit! and everyone is always saying how it suits me well bc my hair texture is very bouncy and wild but not curly so its perfect for this kind of cuts :D

Süss Hexe: It doesn't even look like a wig. Stunning, you look fabulous, as always!

Gloria: I love this cut!! It gives me Saturday afternoon’s at the roller-skate rink vibes. We called it the Farrah flip in the 70’s. Btw … you may have lost some viewers, but not the ones that matter! I’m here for all your videos. I just recently grew out a buzzed undercut and I love watching hair growth updates! And PS, love your outfit in this… your body is banging!!

AmiWhiteWolf: That style looks so beautiful! I usually keep my hair feathered and dyed honey blonde but I may consider since it’s so close to my usual haircut. It’s giving me a 70s diva look where your dress in all gold for some reason. Lol

Carina Ki: This made me regret cutting my hair so much! Such a gorgeous style!

D H: So fluffy and beautiful! I lived through the 80's and 90's and this style was iconic. It looks amazing and I'd love to wear it again even at my age now.

Mika Wright: I love the throwback look. The 90s and maybe the '80s was a fun time ❤️❤️❤️

A L I E N: The difference between this and the "wolf cut" is not the "butterfly" one being longer, since it can be made in short hairs too, it's that this have way more layers, like, in the back this have way more volume than a "wolf cut" who is more plain in the back.

Raven Rose: My hair is in a pixie cut and very thin on the top due to Alopecia. I need a wig to do this cut and another for the wolf cut cause I was a teenager in the 80's and this brings back great memories

MashiroMomo: Oh my god I LOVE this. I've been thinking about something long and layered for a while now and this might be it. My hair is about as long as you wigs hair lol. Should I?

Jillian Parsons: I tried the wolf cut when it came out and I absolutely loved it so I actually might be trying this I’m going to text my hairdresser❤

E_: Oh I just love the end result it’s so amazing! I love it so much!

roygbiv creations: They call it a butterfly cut now days but in the 70s and 80s it was just simply feathering hair cut

MaKay Caradine: Fabulous!! I’ve been growing my hair since before COVID and it’s almost past my waist, one length. I’m so tempted to do a long version of this after seeing your video!! You make it look so glamorous!!

Sam Old: This is my favourite hair you have ever done!

Julia Shorter: You look amazing in this and it makes me want you to do it on myself

K Tay: LOVE all the stuff you do with the wigs!!! I’m growing out a buzz and have a few but really don’t know how to style them

Rebecca Clark: The cut make me wish I had long hair again just to cut it into this style. love it

Chiara Salvadori: It’s really pretty but I would be a little concerned about the maintenance… like you would have to use rollers almost everyday to keep it looking this good I think. But I’m also not a great fan of shags and wolf cuts, so it’s just my opinion❤

Laura S: Most Beautiful Butterfly Haircut I've Seen!! Gorgeous, Perfection on You and the way you cut and styled it. Bravo!!

Hayley Terraine: This was awesome! ❤ love when you express your creative side! their my favourite kind of videos!

Verena Fahmy: Besides the fact that you look beautiful in every wig you style, I love your buzzed hair ❤️.

mollycatrin: omg it looks absolutely stunning on you the cut, the color, the way you styled it, i’m so obsessed!

your homie-_-ee: It looks so beautiful

Diana Marcyszyn: It is just GORGEOUS !!! A haircut to die for

jen395: I had a brush set with the detachable heads 25 years ago and loved them then! I just know I would love them now too

Tatiana Mizhenskaya: Have had a similar cut for over 10 years! I love it. And because my hair is naturally wavy, it creates a nice wave pattern

Salem Odindottier: My hair is too short for this but I have wigs and I’m definitely doing this cut on one of them

Dani Gonza: You should really do more hair dying wigs and cutting them!!

Kc’s Kreative Krafting: Definitely reminds me of my hair back in the early 2000's.

dtulip1: Ah Stella, your self depreciation is on FIRE today :) this looks stunning <3

Kenneth & Angela Downey: Startastic!! You look phenomenal in this style.

Eletiel: in my childhood in 2000, this hairstyle was called Cascade and I hated it because I couldn't style my hair like a hairdresser and they just stuck out like a haystack in different directions

Hot Undercut: I would love to see you with an undercut bob or pixie! You would look BEAUTIFUL with short hair! I also suggest an undercut wolf cut, which would also look great on you! Once you get an undercut, you will never want to grow it out!

Kittykatt Adam: screams Farrah Fawcett!!! love it so so much so personally id say more 70s than 90s to me. id love to have this cut, maybe i need to invest in wigs so i can enjoy colour and different cuts without upsetting my hair or for when i lose hair due to my health. looks so beautiful

E_: I basicly did this before I knew what it was called. And I still love it.

Diy Gril: Finally you make it a video in YouTube about it ❤ thank you omg the process looks so easy

Jasmine La Barba: You are the queen of styling

Christy A: Really pretty, but it looks more 70's to me.

Jlo$good: You look beautiful Stella and a little bit like my mother back in the 90 very pretty

Mandi Toon: Beautiful butterfly Stella x

Breyana Anderson: So stunning

Anahicct1: It looks so pretty!!! What kind of blow dryer are you using?

wlk68: I get serious 70s / Farrah Fawcett vibes from this style.

Scharlotte Lotte: Love it ❣️

Miriam Maciel: Just BEAUTIFUL I wish YOU would cut my hair. ❣️❣️❣️

Michelle: Gorgeous!!!!

Whitney Nicole: Yesss im loving this on you

Diana A.: What is the tutorial you followed? :D I wanna follow that!

Ailidora Bla: Interesting.... I will try it some day

Cynthia: it's stunning, but you spend so much time in styling that I wonder if it's a good everyday haircut? can it also look nice without spending this much time styling? I'm going for a haircut on Tuesday, and I actually want a fringe and maybe some more layer. could this be it??

lisas 2003 hun: Do you think, that the butterflycut looks cute on natural hair waves or do you have to style the cut?

Tavia Turner: That face though! ❤

Natasha Rippon: Just want to mention as well that although you said your engagement was down I don’t think it’s because we didn’t like it, but personally your videos haven’t been pushed in my feed until right now so I’m wondering maybe that’s why because I would of still been watching your content for sure! X

MrsPokits TheRiot: Is there a way to do this style with even longer hair without losing too much length. I have butt length hair. I'm not willing to cut more than 38cm off. But I love super layered and shaggy layers

Greg Norvick: It is fire

Christiane Sonstwas: Augregendes Outfit - wunderschön. Bin überrascht, daß YouTube das nicht auf +18 gesetzt hat. HOT HOT HOT

Jasprah Bluefeather: Ms.1976 ✨disco queen charlies Angels.. looking like Farrah FawcettI love it!!!

Megan Rivera: commenting to support you! ♥

Snoozles BunnyBaby: It gave me princess peach vibes

Rahma Hussein: ❤️

Kadega Amar: رائع جدا جدااا

Amber Hofmeyer: Cosmetologist here! Just a tip that may help, in order to have an even cut you need to either cut completely dry or completely wet prior to cutting

one directioner: ❤❤❤❤

Gabrielė: This doesn't look so good with that much volume

Oonagh72: Look up the actress Morgan Fairchild. You look just like her.
