Music by epidemic sounds.

Foreign go ahead and get into the details of this gorgeous wig that I am wearing. I absolutely love it. You guys that's just a little spoiler alert, but after that I'm gon na go ahead and get into today's video topic, which is going to be how to become a hair influencer. I see that this is something that a lot of uh girls and young ladies seem to be interested in right now, so, hopefully, something that I have to share um, even though this totally was not like something that I strategized or planned on doing um I mean It so hopefully, something that I have to share will be helpful to you guys, so if you guys want to stick around for that portion I'll get into that in just a moment, but for now this hair is from Amanda hair. Now this is a new hair company for me because I'm new to trying it if you guys have not seen my Straight wig video on this particular Hair Company link it down below, for you guys to check it out. I am just experimenting with them, because I had a really good experience. The first time around. I got away from them, so here we are with wig number two. Now this is their Spanish curl, 5x5 HD lace, wig um, that's just the name that they're giving it. But to me this looks like just regular, not deep, wave but curly hair, but, like I said they call it their Spanish curly hair. Most time, hair companies do give curl patterns, like you know, kind of interesting names and stuff like that. So if you're wondering why you never heard of that, it's just a name that they're choosing to give this type of curl pattern. So I do have it in 24 inches and the density on this wig is 180 density. Oh, let me tell you guys a little bit of a backstory, so I got this wig initially and I wanted it to be this chocolate brown color. So I was going to do my normal bleached bath method and I accidentally was not paying attention and left it in there for too long. So the hair got the color that I wanted it to be, but the notch over bleach like really really bad. So it was pretty much a disaster, so what I did was, I ended up. Emailing the company, like hey um, you know this is the wig that I got from you guys. This is what I tried to do it, and this is what accidentally happened. Is there anything you guys can do as far as like you know, sending me a replacement wedding? When I saw you guys, they were so kind and gracious enough to not only send me a replacement wig, but once I told them that hey, I was trying to get the hair to be a brown color. They even offered so go ahead and you know do the color for me when you guys check out the direct link um, you won't see any reviews for this particular wig on their website, because they did give me a custom link. They said you know to share with my followers and subscribers, so they specifically will customize the wig for you just like the one that I have on my head. They did this color on their own, which is exactly what I was going for, so they did it honestly perfectly. So I really really appreciate them for that for taking the time out to do that, and now it's available in this color for you guys, if you guys, are interested in it. I said all that to say that I really appreciate their customer service. They went above and beyond the lace says that it is a HD, transparent, laser, transparent, HD lace. I do feel like it is more on the transparent side. So if you are around my skin tone or even darker, you will have to go in and put your foundation color or lace tint or something on this lace. I feel like it leans more towards being transparent. So if you are more of a lighter complexion, then you probably won't need to put any product on the lace at all. But I'm not going to say that it's not HD lace. But to me it just leans more on the transparent lace side and there definitely is a difference between the two. You know. If you know this wig can be worn completely glueless. They do provide a comb adjustable straps and an elastic band right now. What I'm only utilizing is the comb, so I didn't put any product on this hair like I normally would. Even though it's a glueless install, I didn't use any of my lead. Um, even lace spray, no bold hold Liquid Gold, no nothing! So what I did was I just pretty much put the Combs like kind of pulled it tight to get the lace to lay flat, and then I just put some mousse on it and then tied it down with the scarf to get it to kind of lay. So I would say that this is 100 glueless, so you don't have to use any type of hairspray or adhesive. If you don't want to now, this wig does come in standard cap size, so it's meant to be a one. Size fits all typically, however, what I will say about the fit of this one, because I'm somebody that normally wears a size small, if it's great, I feel like if you wear a size, medium it'll, fit you great. So the problem that I feel like you would run into is, if you're somebody who normally orders your wigs um in a large cap size, I don't feel like this wig is forgiving enough to stretch that much to be able to fit a size large. I think, if you're a small medium, you can get away with it just fine, so that might be the only downside as far as like the Cap Construction, but other than that, this hair is great. This is not my first time installing it. It is probably like my second or third time. The curl pattern is really pretty also, and it doesn't take a lot of products in order to get the curls to pop. The only things that I used was mousse and a very little bit of my Eco Styler gel, and that was pretty much it so with them lifting the hair this color there was nothing for me to do to it. I didn't even pluck it I'm barely like. I pluck like the slightest bit. I didn't have to go in at least the last, obviously because it's brown hair, so there's really no need for you to do that. So I pretty much you could say I just washed it deep conditioned it and put it on straight. It is a true chocolate brown color, I think, on their website. They might have it listed as chestnut brown. It'S all the same thing. All you pretty much need to know is that it is a really beautiful, vibrant brown color. So yeah, that's really all that I could say about this wig. I have zero complaints, didn't experience any issues, it's curly hair. So yes, it's gon na shed. It doesn't shed a whole lot. Haven'T really got any tingling. If you detangle it the proper way, then you should be able to avoid that problem all around yeah. That'S really all there is to say about this wig, it's nice and full um. I feel like, if you get it, you won't be disappointed with it. I'Ve gotten it twice now and I'm not disappointed with it at all, really really pretty, and I don't have any baby hairs with this. Like I said, I didn't use any products, it's not giving me a hard time or anything like that. So I would say this hair is definitely a 10 out of 10. and that's the first. So if you are interested in this wig, as always, I never leave you guys hanging the link will be down below in my description box, so make sure you guys go check them out. Let me know what hair texture. You think I should try from the next. So far, I've tried straight and they're curly hair. So if you guys want to, let me know, then I will be more than happy to keep getting wigs from them just so we can see. You know if they're the perfect hair so a little bit of a back story. My goal for getting here on YouTube was not to become an hair influencer. So basically I just like to do hair I used to do hair in my city um. I used to do like sew-ins and things of that nature and I used to do my own hair. I learned how to do hair from watching YouTube, and I learned on myself. First before I learned how to do a hair on anybody else, so essentially what I did was I just was making videos on hair that I either got from Amazon, not Amazon, because I don't think I knew about Amazon, I meant to say AliExpress so hair that I got from AliExpress and then hair that I was buying from the beauty supply store anything that I bought. I would literally just make a video on it so that that's pretty much how my channel started. Eventually, hair companies started to notice my videos and they started to reach out to me and want to work with me and then the rest is history. That would be the biggest tip that I could give. You is to not overthink it and just start making content. If you want to be a WIC, influencer then start making videos on wigs. Now you don't have to go out and buy a whole bunch of wigs. If you don't want to what you can do is just pretty much use what you already have. So, if you've ever gotten any bundles a synthetic wig, if you know how to teach people how to revamp a wig, how to color a wig like use, what you already have and make content around that, but the main thing is: you have to start now when I started I started a YouTube channel with zero subscribers, so it does take time to kind of build your audience and don't put pressure on yourself to hurry up and like gain a bunch of followers. I feel like the um, except for sub. That'S not really genuine. The follow for follow is not really genuine, just kind of put yourself out there and then let people gravitate towards you. I feel, like that's the best advice um, that I always tell people, because I feel like that's what kind of worked for me. I didn't really. You know try to beg people to subscribe. I didn't go commenting on other people's channels. Telling them say. Hey come over to my Channel watch my videos, I just kind of made content posted it and then, like I said, whoever wants to gravitate towards you will do exactly just that. So don't try to force it, but just know that it will take time to really build up your platform. Nowadays, every social media app has where you can check your analytics is going to be very important to know what kind of audience you have um that you're working with, because that matters um like I said some hair companies they'll, give you a chance to kind of See how it goes, and you may say: oh well, I have 25 000 followers and then they send you a wig and you only bring them like six customers. They'Re, probably not going to want to work with you again, because, although you have you know a decent number, you weren't able to really bring. You know much of that number in as customers for them, and that could be for a few reasons like I said you might have a all majority male following or if you just be a number of things, but you just want to make sure that you are Appealing to the ladies, because the ladies are the ones who are interested in here. I just feel like it's better for both parties that you just have a business email that way they can see that it's linked in your bio or your description box, and they know exactly how to get in contact with you a lot of times. You guys assume that they're not going to reach out to you until you get to a certain point where really they can reach out to you at any moment. So you always want to make sure that you have a way for potential hair companies to get in contact with you and then just to piggyback. On what I said when I said you just need to start making hair content. That is super important. I feel like that gets overlooked. A lot of girls will say. Well, I want to be a hair influencer, but I don't know how and then sometimes I'll go to their page and you guys literally, don't have any hair. Videos like a hair company is not going to know that you are aspiring to be a hair influencer or that you are, if you never post any um hair content, they're not just going to be willing to send you. You know free hair. If they don't already see that that's what your page consists of, because that's going to be the main deciding factor of why they want to work with you when they see that you have hair content posted what they do. Is they look at you know the numbers that you're getting as far as like views and stuff like that they're going to look at your comments section and see how your audience is reacting to what it is that you post? If they see that hey a lot of your followers are always complimenting you on your hair they're, always asking you questions or asking you to do videos on how you did a certain Style on their hair. Then they know that you have an audience that is interested. So that works out in your favor now as far as filming equipment, making sure that you are filming a good quality video mind you, it does not have to be perfect, but it does need to be good quality. That is very important. So I'm not stingy with information, I don't keep or anything like that. I'Ve shared it um in my description box within my last few videos, because I have gotten a lot of questions on it more so recently, but the equipment that I use is all from Amazon. You guys, I have it linked Down Below on my Amazon storefront, if you guys want to check it out, but having something to work with is really going to take your content to the next level. You don't have to feel obligated to go out and buy a camera. I did initially, but I don't recommend it only because you guys I was so frustrated when I bought my first camera. I didn't know how to use this so literally for like four months it just kind of sat until I figured it out underestimate the quality of the iPhone. The iPhones shoot amazing quality videos, specifically on the back camera. You can do the front camera it's cool, but the back camera is even better. So if you want to know about like the best tripods to use for your phone, the best lighting, I feel like my lighting setup - is pretty good. Everything'S pretty visible. My videos are not like too dark if they're ever dark. It'S probably because I accidentally messed up the settings on something, but having good lighting beats having a camera, you can have an iPhone that you, film, on in good lighting, and your quality still be like just as good as somebody that's using the camera. So, although I don't film with my phone anymore, that is initially what I started out with so, like I said, if you guys are interested in any of the tools that I use, I believe, if you go on my Amazon storefront, like I said I will link It down below and click on, content creator, must-haves it'll show you everything that I use. I currently use two LED panel lights and then I also have a smaller like LED light that is attached to the top of my camera and that's pretty much it. So essentially, what I'm saying is to use what you have, but if you are looking to get serious with this journey and you want to invest in some, you know good quality Equipment then go ahead and do that. So it's not just about the filming equipment. The hair equipment matters too, there's some Necessities that you are absolutely going to need as a hair influencer. That includes like certain styling tools like a hot comb that is essential, a curling iron. You can use it as a wand as well. You guys have seen me do that plenty of times in my videos, a straightener is going to be a necessity as well as well as other little products like mousse and uh wax stick hairspray some type of adhesive of your choice. Those are all things that you're always going to be buying constantly that you're going to use to install your wigs to style, your wigs, so on and so forth. So the products that I use, like I said, they're all from Amazon, some stuff - is from the beauty supply store. But when I can't find that at the beauty supply, so I just order it off Amazon. The canvas head is going to be very important, because that is how you're going to do the majority of your customizing, your styling, even making a wig on it. The canvas head, the tripod that goes with it all that matters, and all that is something that you're going to need. So that is something that I mean if you know how to improvise and you can buy like the styrofoam heads and you have to start out with that - there's nothing wrong with that. I used to use those as well, but I find that the canvas heads are just a little bit better. I do have a section on my Amazon storefront again. That is like, I believe it's title, wig Essentials. It has everything that I use for customizing a wig installing it all of that good stuff. So if you guys want to know what I use, I always say to check that out anytime, I start using something new. I do make sure to update it on there as well, so pretty much, and this is not a sponsored or anything, but the majority of the stuff that I get is from Amazon. I love Amazon. They always have something that I need. So that's where I get majority of my stuff from so set yourself up for success and at least make sure you have like the bare minimum of the Necessities that you're going to want to have if you plan on being a hair influencer. The next thing is really important that is really going to help you get noticed is being consistent. It sounds so cliche to say, but it is so um helpful and it makes a wonderful difference now truthfully. This is something that I find myself struggling with now, but I'm gon na I'm trying to work on getting back on track. But in the beginning, when I first started out, I was so consistent and on top of things, because I truly had a passion for making hair videos so over time I've kind of like lost that just a little bit or got a little bit burnt out. I feel, like everybody goes through it at some point, just because is very like repetitive and trying to think of new creative ideas to do the same thing. Basically, sometimes it just kind of you know makes you want to take a break from it, but I would encourage you all who are um looking to get serious about this hair business to be consistent. Whatever consistency means to you, if being consistent for you means hey, I can commit to posting two videos a week, then consistently always post two videos a week if you're somebody that has a little bit more time in your schedule or you know you just feel like Making sure that you post at least four videos a week then be consistent with your posting schedule. That way. People know that hey. She isn't somebody that just posted the video one month and then she disappears for three months and then she'll post again when she feels like it. That'S not showing any consistency at all so make sure that you are consistent, because when you are consistent, like I said, that's how you get noticed more, it helps you to grow your audience and then, from a you know, Hair Company brand stamp point. It shows them that they can build a long-term partnership with you. You know once you kind of get your foot in the door with them, and they see that you know you are consistent. They'Ll want to keep sending you hair back to back over and over again. All the time, another tip that I feel like is really important is making sure that you talk in your videos. It'S cool, sometimes once you've kind of establish your audience to just kind of like you know, show yourself, you know, styling the hair installing it on camera and throwing likes the background music on it. But essentially, you need to talk in your videos, um, whether you like hearing yourself, talk or not. People want to hear what you have to say about the hair hair companies want to hear what you have to say about the hair. People want to know everything as far as what length you got the density. What did you do to customize it? How did you get it to look the way you got it to look like all that matters, So, to avoid having a comment section full of comments of people asking questions, make sure that you talk in your video, try to make it a point throughout. Most of my videos to tell you guys about the shipping time frame um how much the item costs. Sometimes I don't do that just because the prices are always changing. So you may see on my video that I said is this price and then you know by the time you look at it or whenever you see the video, it might be a different price. So sometimes I will say the price. Sometimes I don't. It really just depends, but those are things that people want to know so make sure that you are at least saying something about the hair um, I'm pretty much known for giving very in-depth honest Hair reviews. That'S what a lot of you guys tell me. You guys come to my channel, for so that's kind of like my thing, but if it's not your thing to like really give in-depth reviews - and you just want to tell people where it is where you got it from you - can do that, but just make sure You'Re saying a little something about the hair, people want to know how it's going to hold up. What has your experience been with so far? Is there anything that you didn't like about the hair? All of that matters also don't get caught up in trying to go viral or get like a bunch of followers like immediately like quick, fast and in a hurry. Like I said just let your audience grow itself. You just continue to be consistent and actually um make the content a lot of times here. Companies they do care about views. Sometimes I feel like that's very shallow thinking, because views fluctuate sometimes just because you have a set number of subscribers like you could have 50. 000, subscribers and your views are only like a thousand views per month, but the way that I look at it is. If that is the case, you know most people would say. Oh how do I have all these subscribers, but you know nobody's really watching my videos. It just depends: sometimes it's not always you, sometimes it's the algorithms that are always changing. It could just be a number of things, but the way that I like to look at it, because when you do start to get care from these companies a lot of times, they give you a discount code that discount code is used to save your followers. Some money - and it's also used for them to track yourself. Here'S an example: I'll do a video might only get a thousand views and I have 50 000 subscribers if I was able to get 467 people to go out and buy that particular wig in that video to me, the amount of sales that I'm able to bring In for that hair company matters, far more than the amount of views that I got on it I know sometimes we tend to get caught up on the numbers, but I'm telling you guys it will save you a lot of headache. It will save you from comparing yourself or getting discouraged if you just focus on your craft and let your influence speak for itself, so say: you've already had a platform, you've already been making hair content and you are getting hair companies that want to reach out to You and you want to know how much you used to charge. This is like a big question. I noticed when I was on Tick Tock. This is like a trending topic, because people will get approached by these hair companies, but they do not know how much they should charge them. So back when I started there was a website called social Blue Book. I signed up and made an account - and I use this website to basically help me gauge what I should be charging. I learned this from another YouTuber back in the day and it was such a game changer for me and it was so helpful. So what you do is you'll sign up you'll make an account with your social media information plugged in there, and then it will gather your pages analytics and it'll. Give you an estimate price of what you you should be charging based on your audience and your influence that you have on your platform. So to me this is used as a guideline. I didn't follow this to a t in the beginning I kind of did, but, as I got more in to it and working with a lot of hair companies, I definitely adjusted those numbers accordingly. I no longer use this now because I already kind of have like my set rates, and I know when to change it and whatnot if you're trying to be a hair influencer, it's obvious that you're going into this with the intention of wanting to be paid. So it's very important that you have a PayPal account when a hair company is ready to pay you, they will always pay through PayPal. So that is something that you absolutely need to have like. I said when I started it just kind of happened. I was just making videos and then hair companies started reaching out, but it seems like nowadays it's a big thing to go ahead and Pitch yourself to a brand. Now, I'm not against that, but that's not personally what I did so I don't really have any advice on how to pitch yourself to a brand. I would say just let them come to you. So I'm sorry, if you were watching this hoping to get that answer. That'S not the approach that I took, so I can't just tell you guys something that I've we don't know too much about. But what I will say not to do is do not contact a hair company and say hey. Could you send me a free wig in exchange I'll give you a five star review. I feel like the girls who are doing that is just like poisoning the hair game because, like the reviews are falsified, they're predicated upon you getting a free wig out of it. So you're just purposely saying good things about the hair. You can do that at your own risk, but I pride myself on having integrity and being honest in my reviews and I never want to lie and say anything just because I'm getting something free out of it. So do that at your own risk, but that's not something that I recommend and here's why a lot of us who are looking to buy hair we well me personally. I really rely on the reviews. So if I go to a hair companies page - and I see they have nothing but five star reviews, what is that gon na make me do it's gon na make me say: oh my gosh, you know people really love this hair. Let me go ahead and buy it. It'S going to make me confident enough to make my purchase here's the thing when you tell a hair company that you want a free wig and that you'll give them a five star review. You'Ll have people coming to look for some hair and then based off of all these. You know five star reviews, you kind of really don't know. What'S real and what's not real, the bottom line is don't overthink it it's not as hard as you guys, think, being a hair influencer. It has so many Pros. It has a few cons at times, but for the most part it can be a very rewarding side. Hustle, if it's something that you truly want to do, I'm sure I didn't cover everything, because there could be a number of questions that could be asked. There could be more stuff that I probably could go in detail about, maybe something I forgot to mention. So if you guys do have any questions specifically about that, don't hesitate to reach out to me. You can leave a comment down below you can reach out to me via email. You can reach out to me um through Instagram DM, like get in touch with me. If you guys have any questions, I'm more than happy to help you guys on this journey, if you are trying to do what I do hope that you guys found this video helpful, if you guys did don't forget to give this video a thumbs up. As always. Thank you guys so much for watching and I'll see you guys next time.

LadyViola: Thank you so much for sharing all of this information with us. I’d bet a lot of these tips are easily applicable to other types of content too. I love your hair reviews, and some other content I’d be interested in seeing from you is the makeup looks you do with your wigs. ❤

Keisha Trueh: Thank you for the advice and I LOVEEE this hair!

Leah B: I have no desire to be a hair influencer, but shout out to you for being willing to help the girls out

♡Antonio♡: Wow, I knew you were honest and down to Earth, but this video just proved it even more. ❤️ Many people would tarnish their reputation for some money. I understand why, but it leads other people who many not have much into more financial decline.
