So jumping right into it, i purchased this wig from unites hair and it is a 14 inch feathered, bang bob wig, it's 13 by 4 lace with 180 density. So right here, i'm just showing you the goodies that came with it, which is eyelashes some hair clips. A wig cap and a scarf i'm looking at my order now, while i'm doing this voice over so i paid 214 dollars for this wig. It um it's labeled as like, pre-styled or whatever, but of course i'm going to show you all how it looks the it was plucked really really. Well, i really don't see myself plucking it anymore. I might do a little bit, but it won't be drastic. So here i am showing you the curls. I think they made this wig, so you can like wear it straight out of the box, but these curls are too tight for me. I cannot do those kind of curls, so i am of course, going to bleach my knots just a little bit and then i will um comb the curls out so yeah um, i'm just really just showing you how the knots are. The knots are really really small and i tried to get just a little bit closer, so you all can see how reflective, which is really nice. This is my setup. So now i'm showing you right, quick, the items that i purchased in sally's by ion. I got some lightning powder, some dirty volume developer for sensitive skin, some hair booster drops and some gloves which i did not use. I totally forgot about them. So there's: okay, okay, guys! So i am now um applying the mixture to the wig with a plastic butter knife ever so lightly. I'M not pressing hard at all, not at all. So just because i didn't want the mixture to bleed through and uh bleach like over bleach, my knots or whatever. I'Ve been there done that before and if you can see it got brighter because i was using natural light, so the sun was going in and out. So that's why you see the light difference, but i'm just lightly pressing it in and i started with the back. First, because i didn't want to start with the front and then it over bleach and usually i would use aluminum foil, but i was like this. Wig is kind of it's looking kind of good. You know and the knots were really really small. So i didn't want to over bleach it by using um aluminum foil, so i didn't put aluminum fall on top and i let this sit for not even 15 minutes. Probably like 12 minutes. I let it sit and i caught it just in time because it would have over bleached had i let it sit anymore, but i didn't know that sally's ion had this uh powder. So that's just me trying to tell y'all. I didn't use the gloves and i'm letting it sit for 10 minutes. So these are. This is what i use some blue shampoo. Instead of purple, i use blue to tint my lot knots instead of purple some aussie miracle, shampoo, love it and the isoplus neutralizing shampoo. So now i came back and i wanted to just comb out the hair with you all show you all. You know how the knots were looking. I thought it came out phenomenal like i did an excellent job right. So that's just me combing it out. Eventually, i'm going to get up close, so i can actually show y'all the hairline and how it's looking, but i'm really really satisfied so stay tuned. I'M gon na come back. It won't be today because i have outworked myself today, but i'm gon na come back and then we're gon na install this wig together. It'S just fun, i think stuff like this, is fun to do like i'll. Try anything myself like if i want to pay for it. If i want to pay to go, get it done, you best believe i'm going learn, look learn until i get it for myself. That'S just how i am and everything so yeah so i'll, see y'all on the next video or the next slide, it'll be on the same video, so i'll see y'all soon, bye, guys, okay, guys, i'm gon na talk for a little while then i'll concentrate on what I need to do, but i call myself giving myself a doing the ball cap method. So this is what i came up with don't mind that that's a purple patch. They really really work. If you were wondering if you feel like you're getting a pimple, oh y'all stuck well that didn't work out so yeah, hmm now y'all see. I will keep this in the clip too. Just so y'all can see that they don't always work out, but and all i'm doing is just cutting the excess cap, which now looks like. I have no cap because - and i basically cut it all off cat way back here. That'S crazy and this is a some stockings, so it's really not a cap and they just look in the to morning. Hopefully, y'all can see what i'm doing. I need to get this part up. I usually don't do my ball cap method with my wigs, because i take them off every night, so i wanted to try something new and this is how it's going to have to be for now, because i don't have nothing covering my hair right there as you Can see so i ordered some new products were new to me, hair care products from erica j, and i wanted to give them a try today. So the first thing i ordered well, let's do the stuff that i probably won't use today. I use i ordered the lock and grip, and this is supposed to be really good when you're doing braids or twists or locks or whatever. So i could probably try to use this when i do a retwist on me or my son's hair, so i'll, let y'all know how that does. I ordered the fluff stuff foaming pump stuff, so i probably can use that if i decide to do some baby hairs - and i ordered the hold me down skin guard - all of these were 50 off. So that wasn't that good for me hold me down skin guard and i ordered the watermelon scented adhesive. So i know y'all have seen a million tutorials using this stuff. Okay guys. So i don't know if i told you all, but i picked up the lace, adhesive and the watermelon scent, and it smells really really really good and i think this um, what is this stuff, whatever the skin guard yeah? So i just wiped my face off my hairline off using the skin guard to make sure i didn't have any makeup or dirt or excess oils on there. First and now you see me here trying on the wig combing it out. I wanted to make sure that i had it positioned correctly before i started anything in this process. So that's me with my handy dandy, eyeliner and i'm just kind of marking out where i wanted to paste the glue. I didn't want the glue to be too far down on my forehead, not enough glue, so i decided to use a eyeliner, so i put the marks there with the liner to make sure i'm placing the glue in the correct place, and hopefully it transferred to my Skin a little bit yeah it did you see it go nana. I tell you watch enough youtube videos, y'all you'll, get it. You will get it. So, what's my next step, what should i do so? I know i got already put the skin card down. I'M gon na pull i'ma clip this back and i'm scared to cut the ear tab things off. I don't want to mess it up. You know what i mean like well, i guess i won't mess it up, because this need to come off so okay. So i'm just gon na cut up this way, make sure cut upward right and then get rid of this excess okay. We might be okay going on okay, okay, so i think it would be easier for me to uh. If you see me looking here, i'm looking in the mirror to make sure i'm in focus, i mean in the monitor, but i think it would be easier for me to split this or not split it, but do it in sections glue it in sections versus me Trying to do my whole head, it would be easier for me. So let's do it like that and i'm going to a section, because you know the sides usually are the hardest to sometimes lay down. So we'll do like that. Okay guys so i wiped off my forehead again with the skin guard, and here i am using the watermelon scented adhesive and i did two layers. I think i only showed y'all one, but i did two layers, so i just put some on there to the end of my eyebrow razor, the handle of it and just smooth it out this. It dried, really, quick and maybe like three to four minutes. It took to dry where most glues i use seems like it takes forever. This does not take a long time to dry at all, and it smells great so now, i'm just taking a wig placing it down now make sure i comb it through. I did see some white areas when i was placing it, but eventually it eventually went away so that um made me feel a little at ease, and here i am just kind of like pushing it in because of course they say: don't push it with your fingers Because your fingers have all and stuff on it to try to use the back of your comb or whatever to press it in. So that's what i'm doing here, just taking my time, mellowed out just trying to make sure i get it right. So here i am doing the sides um. I think i showed you all just one side of me: gluing it down, but those little black marks. Those things gave me the business you hear me next time. I have to use a lighter hand or something not as dark, because they would not go away so here i am just smoothing it out once again and i'm going to do the same process. I put two layers down smooth it out, wait for it to get clear before i place the lace on it, place the lace on it and smooth it out with a comb simple as one two three, i'm just using a little index card or something i have Here to comb it out or whatnot yeah the lace, if i didn't mention the lace, is really soft. It wasn't that hard crunchy lace and i think they did a really good job as far as tweezing the hairline, because i didn't tweeze anything, i'm quite sure. If you are um experienced, you probably would go in and tweet some more, but for me this was just enough. I was satisfied with it one day i'll get to that part, but we taking it one day at a time one day at a time and that's just a lot of white area i had here, i put a little bit of that skin guard on there and It came right up and i took my stocking, which i see me use all the time and i'm going to tie that around my hairline to further melt the glue to make sure it's melted. So i use this versus that elastic band that elastic band hurts here. I am just cutting the excess lace so that i can get ready to do my makeup and that lace is not all in my face. Okay guys, i threw on some makeup. Let'S take this: let's take this pan off yeah. I don't know how refreshing that feels. Oh my gosh, hopefully i'm scared to look in the mirror. Is it white? It might be all right. What'S going on, i got my hot curlers warming up and i'm gon na cut this excess cap off. Okay, wait a minute cut it in a zigzag. That'S what i get from all the videos i watch just cut it in, as it say, don't cut it straight across so but yeah. So let's talk about shops, makeup, shops and all of that good stuff. Y'All know i despise going to hair shops. If i don't have to i'll try to do it myself, it's only been a couple of times in my life that i have had a great or good experience in shops. So i try to learn to do everything myself, which is beneficial because you learn to so. You can save your money, do it yourself, you could save your time. Do it yourself? So, okay, you know we're doing it. I still got the black marks for when i put the eyeliner on there, but hopefully i can find a way to get rid of that. I don't know, let's keep going um and i noticed recently, like i'm online hope, i'm good. I can be online and i'll see like, let's just say, i'll, see a stylist posts. You know they can do this, they can do this and the hairstyles they look beautiful. Like the model and everything is beautiful, so i'm like okay, let me check that page out. So i go to the page, and the first thing i see is a long list of do's and don'ts. You know rules and all of that and that all of that is good, because every one of these rules, you know you go to an establishment. You need to know what their rules are, what they want you to do, what they don't want you to do, but it becomes, in my opinion, distasteful when the first thing you see when you look at a page is what i don't want you to do, what You can't do what is not appropriate or whatever was what i won't accept, at least my opinion. All of this is truly my opinion. Show me why i should choose you why i should book and pay a thousand dollars eight hundred dollars for a hair found from you. You know give me the good part. I want to say good part, because rules are good also, but you know i just feel like don't bring if it's on, if you're not getting service, don't bring another person, and it's just like who once i see that once i'm on the page and i go To somebody's page - and i see all of that - i click off, because i don't have time to read all of that. Well, all those rules and stuff you got going on, don't cut myself about what you got going on. I just automatically click all cuz that right there already has a bad taste in my mouth. Look at my ear red. You know. Y'All, i got the black stuff. I don't want to use the skin guard to get it off. I don't know how to get it off, but let's see i'm going to spray it, and this is the evan uh new york spray. This is supposed to make it melt a little bit more, i'm gon na. Let it dry for a minute before i put the wrap back on it, because i don't want it to stick in the meantime. I think i believe this hair already came layered. I'M not gon na cut any layers in it today and, if i didn't say this, hair is a really really full. I think it was only 150 density, so i was surprised at how full it is. It'S a very thick which, when you know hair, is going to shed so once it starts shedding. I don't feel as bad because it's thick so how i'm going to curl this we're just going to throw some simple curls in here, not a lot i'll, probably speed through this, because y'all don't want me to see me curling my hair, but just some simple curls In here - and this is a 14 inch - i know - i probably said it when i was um bleaching - the knots and all of that, but on me and our five two, so i guess this is it comes up a little a little longer on me. I don't know, but this looks like it could be - maybe a 16 inch, but it's supposed to be a 14 inch. So we'll see i'm just using my hot tools yeah. I know how i am with curling iron, so i got to be careful because last time i did a curling iron. I burned my face and i'm just throwing some big barrel curls in here. I don't want any defined curls or any of that at all. So let me stop talking so y'all can right now: okay, so right, quick! I have one of these uh hot combs that i put in the oven. You know they come with it. I don't know what you call them, but i have that. I prefer these over. That electric one that you plug in because all the ones i get they don't get hot enough. You got to be real careful with this one, because you know this is hot and they'll burn your hair out. So i mean, if you know, of a hot comb electric one that that works really well, let me know that gets a really hard. I'Ve had so many hot combs and they don't get hot enough for me, the electric ones uh, and it's just me, flattening it out making sure it's flat continue to curl. I usually curl my hair in the bathroom, so i can see what i'm doing so. I probably have to finish it in there, because i can't really see me just using this right here. I'M glad i didn't have to put cut layers in it layers and make your hairstyle like if you cut layers in it, you'll be surprised at how pretty your curls fall, but i haven't mastered it. Oh look at that. Look y'all from the top stuck to the curler, don't make it work we're gon na make it work we gon na make it work, don't be afraid to even if you're doing your own hair to do your own hair to do a wig weave, try it i'm! I will go to the beauty, supply, store, store and shop like on my hairstylist and get in here and spend like my saturday, because that's what i like to do and try hairstyles and whatnot. I don't even care. My friend is coming to get her hair done for her birthday. She wanted those faux locs. You know the ones like i had in my hair and she has a lot also so i'll see a hot, so i'll, see if she'll, let me record a little bit so i can show y'all what i do. It'S not perfect, but it gets the job done and that's my whole thing as long as i'm not damaging my hair, then i feel like this now this curling iron right here it gets hot. That'S what i burned my face with last time, so unless i'm being extra careful too, i don't know what i was doing that day. I was not paying attention. I had a meeting to go to. I went there and my face was red, like i hope i don't think, i'm in a bad situation and need to get out, because that's just me with the hot girl, that's it yeah the erica j glue it dried really fast, like i put one coat on Smooth it out and probably like two or three minutes it was dry. So i was shocked because i had some glue and it seemed like it takes forever for it to um dry, but no, it dried really fast, which, if you could see, let me stand up a little bit. The layers is already in there. Okay, right here come put this thing back in there. Don'T put it all the way in there and why are you on that stove? Don'T put it all the way in there put it halfway in there because it'll burn it. So just stick it in there yeah right at the middle. I know they'd be sick of me. Okay, my boys who's sick of me, i probably should have had a girl, but it was not in the cards for me to have a girl. I got two boys and they could care less about this makeup than this hair stuff. So i got that y'all see that yeah. I see my um, my black, whatever that is. I had i was right, but i was on the right path, but never quite got there yet what i got on this brush. Look at this light, calm down and you're gon na fix it and it's gon na be marvelous and it's going to be marvelous. That'S where you got to think like oh she's, going to fix it, i'm going to fix it and it's going to be good. I can never look at that. Look at that going on them. I tell y'all all the time hype yourself up, because nobody else will nobody else. Don'T okay say that you did. I'M not gon na do baby hairs today i wanted to use that fluff and stuff, but we had to revisit that another day because, to be honest, i want to go get me some lemon purple wings and they gon na close. In a minute i got ta put on my clothes. I really want to go to target. Oh look at this. He almost burned myself with this. I want to go to target. I need a shower curtain and almost unlimited wings and then that's how i'll spend my saturday night editing and eating some spicy lemon peppermint. How does it look? This looks natural huh, oh nana cool girl go girl. You go girl. Look at that. Hairline y'all y'all see that oh y'all see it now, y'all see it. This is gon na, be my thumbnail right. There cause y'all, see it cuz. I see it. Go nano okay. What you're saying what you say what you say: okay, guys this is my hair. I'M gon na have to zoom it out, so y'all can really see no baby hairs. Today, i might have a little still marker eyeliner, but i'm going to grab a big comb, so i'm just going to do it with my fingers, because i meant to grab a lots of comb and i grabbed so guys. This is how the wig turned out. Not bad right, i showed y'all the hairline. If you see some black marks, that's just my marker, but this hairline looks really really really really really really good, really good beginner and this um video is by no mean sponsor. I spent all of my good hard earned money on this. I wonder sometimes i, like my hair, to be like a little swoop. Yeah, that's better, going on gon na hear me say: go down a whole lot. I am all for moving myself on. I love it. So yeah this is a completed. Look if you have tried to apply a wig for yourself. Let me know how it turned out if you plan on trying it for yourself. Believe me, try it for yourself. If you don't like to go to a hair shop, sit in there eight nine hours of the day, then you look at your hair and then you want to cry, because it's not how you thought it was going to come out just do it yourself learn to Do it yourself, regardless, if you get it wrong, if you get it right, it takes time. Everything takes time for you to learn the more you do. The more is that rain, the more you do, the more you learn, the more it'll be okay. So just do it all right, nike say just: do it yourself, wonderful! So until next time i'll see you all in my next video bye, guys
