Don't Forget To Live Your Extra Life.

Hi beautiful, i think a lot of you know what a bleach bath is, but nobody ever knows how to do them correctly. Bleach baths are great. Bleach, baths are powerful and can be really helpful. So, let's see what kind of crazy bleach bath concoctions are made today, but first i want to thank cara for collaborating with me on this video care of is a subscription service that ships high quality, personalized vitamins, supplements and powders to your door every month, if you're, Like me and you're like what i don't know, what vitamins to take well you're in luck, because care of has a really easy to understand quiz that you take fill out a bunch of things, and it tells you exactly what you need to be the healthiest. You can possibly be, and the quiz asks you a bunch of stuff like your lifestyle, your diet and your health goals. My job can be very demanding and require a lot of energy from me, so my vitamins help me get through the day. I'Ve been taking my care of vitamins for over, i think, a year now i noticed an improvement overall, i feel balanced and just great at all times my personal vitamins. I always forget the names of them, so i'm gon na read them here. I take rhodiola, which is for stress and mood vitamin b12 for energy veggie omega two of them for heart health. I also have a protein for nutrition. These little packs of your vitamins are made from plant-based film that makes it compostable. I trust carob, because i know it's made from good for you clean ingredients that are backed by the latest science and research. So i feel good about what i'm putting in my body, i'm literally obsessed with how these little packets are personalized like hi brad, and it has a little question on the front. So every morning you wake up you take these. You have a little question. It'S all about the little details for me: take care of quiz and see the vitamins and supplements they recommend for you. So click the link below and use my code brad mondo for 50 off of your first order with care of first video is by esther parapetkin. I know this video is titled, giving my roots a bleach bath, but it's basically half of my hair. Oh please don't do that. No, she said she's giving her roots of bleach bath. I mean bleach. Paths are generally used for a couple of things. If you don't already know they're used to remove like the top layer of color, they can remove like demi-permanent color sign permanent color, probably like a half a shade of permanent color. Sometimes in some cases it's really just for correcting things quickly. We usually don't use this to lift somebody's level. Six roots, that's scary! It'S gon na be a lot of orange in there. So i have my bleach. I have gloves i'm gon na put olaplex in the mixture. I have a volume 20.. The thing is, is most of the hair is close to my roots, so i know that they're going to develop faster because of the heat most of the hair is close to your root. You have like four inches of regrowth there or five. Even the heat from your scalp is not gon na. Do too much for you in this case also, 20 volume with a bleach bath normally you'd be fine, but in this case you're bringing that 20 volume. Basically, down to a 15, even a 10 volume, depending on, if you put like water in the formula or i don't know what your formula is going to look like and you're, probably going to apply to damp hair. Because that's how you do a bleach bath except a lot of people, do it wrong. So i don't know i do have this dove shampoo that i'm going to put in a mixture. I have an applicator. I also have some clips to separate my hair so that it's not going to get too messy and then i'm also going to be toning, my hair with t10 toner moment of truth. Let'S see what her bleach bath mixture is, if it is even a bleach bath at all, because sometimes people don't even know what that is so most of the time, they're all confused. Another thing guys is, i would prefer to leave a little bit of root. I, like that, look it's getting scarier the thing with leaving a root. Don'T do it with a dull process. It'S not a good idea, it just never looks right and it's usually uneven like don't. What you should do is bleach the entire thing and then add a root later. Okay, with, like a toner, give yourself a little shadow root. That'S how you make it look good and then, when it grows out it's great because then your real root grows in and the shadow root is now blonde, because that shadow faded off, because it's only diaper in color. So now you get twice the wear out of the one color. Does that make any sense to anybody good? It looks to me as if she's not wetting, her hair a bleach bath guys. The whole point is to like: have your hair be damp and then have shampoo in the bleach formula and you're like lathering the bleach, you know what i mean. That'S a bleach bath baths are usually wet we're gon na put both of them in here. Next, i'm going to add in our developer, i'm gon na try to eyeball it and do about equal parts. Next, i'm gon na add in a little bit of shampoo a little bit of water okay, so she is putting water in the formula just wet your hair, and some of my olaplex number three does not go in lightner number one goes in lightner, and that is Only for professionals, we have our mixture ready, so i'm going to put on my gloves and we're going to get to applying bleach bath. Where is the bleach path? This is just you applying lightener with water in it. When you put water and light in her it just dilutes the developer, the only thing you're doing here is just putting like a 15 volume in your hair, which is definitely not a high enough developer for you, i'm looking at the first piece of hair that i Did - and it is lightening up, i think, for a bleach bath. You can leave it in. However much you want. Eventually it's going to stop developing, so i'm just going to leave it in, for i don't know, we'll see. Okay, it's lightening a lot. I'M a little surprised she does have a pretty light base. Color and her hair looks to be kind of on the more fine side which is really good for lightner. Those roots that she gave herself is really making me nervous. Okay, so don't mind my ends. They are obviously brighter. I feel like i should go in with a second round um of bleach, but i'm going to do the toner and see what the outcome is yeah. This came out really bad. Do not tone it not gon na do anything. Your hair is orange orange so for toner, i'm using the um wallet t10 toner, it's kind of hard to avoid the ends. Okay, i'm gon na. Let this sit for like 15-20 minutes and rinse it out. This is the outcome. This is still way too orange. My um mistake was doing a bleach bath because it was virgin hair. I feel like if i just went in with straight bleach, it'd be more concentrated and it would lighten more. But the lady at the store said that doing it again definitely will get my hair to this exact same color. Okay, what you need to do now is just use like 20 volume and lightener and apply it to that section. That'S really yellow and orange. That'S all we don't need to do another bleach bath which wasn't really a bleach bath. This whole bleach bath thing is confusing me, i'm going to go in right now again with the second time of bleach, all right, we're doing it again. Let'S see what result we get this time, it should be better. I'M done i'm going to leave this in for another 20. 30 minutes. Those ends on her hair have been bleached 20 000 times. I'M very concerned all right we're moving on to a toner. This is how my hair is looking, i'm hoping that this is enough, like, ah what the hell did. We need to go in with bleach just straight up bleach with no water, okay and just color the roots, because it's stressing me out. Oh no, we're toning. It again girl, so this is how my hair looked the next morning. There was still some yellow and orange tones on half of my hair and obviously because my lower half of my hair is already blonde, it was much harder to try not to get things on it. I realized that i needed to definitely go in one more time. All right we're doing a third round this time we're using foils, which i think is a great idea. Hopefully it's not like a bleach bath again, i messaged a friend that i know that had a little bit of knowledge in you know, hair and stuff. So i ended up doing 20 volume with bleach the same that i was using before, but i used foils and i left it in for about 20 25 minutes. Okay, girl, 20 minutes is not enough, think 45 or 60 minutes. That'S probably good for you now. Looking at it, it looks like it's light enough now the issue was trying to even the hair out. So what i did was i went and i got a 30 volume developer, another 20 volume because i was running out and then i got a t10 toner because i felt like the other one was too cool toned for my liking and what i ended up doing Was going in with a quick bleach bath literally five minutes, i coated my whole head with the 30 volume and bleach and gave it like five minutes and rinsed it out and that actually stripped the toner from half of my hair. What i'm gon na do is i'm gon na put t11 on my upper half of my hair, leave it in for about 10-15 minutes and then put it on the rest of my hair and leave it in for another 5-10 minutes, because this is already pretty good. Okay, i definitely think it's a good idea for her to apply to the roots and mids before doing the ends, and that way everything kind of comes out. Even but i don't know if that theory is really gon na work, because i think that toner is gon na be too light for her hair to even show up. So i try my best to avoid the bottom half of my hair for the first half of the toning session. I did not want to overtone my bottom half of my hair. I just tried to like map out the best possible way to even out my hair. This is the result. Oh my gosh. I was almost regretting going through all this, but i can say i am in love with end result. I basically put the toner on half of my hair for like five minutes, maybe in the bottom of my hair, it turned out great. I also trimmed it like half an inch just to freshen up the ends. I feel like it turned out. Amazing i mean she definitely saved her hair. It looks good. You could have saved so much time, though, and energy if you just used 30 volume and bleach and left it on for like 45 to 60 minutes. You would only have to do it once and they would have been fine. There was just so many steps in there that were just totally not necessary, so hopefully, next time you can do it way faster up. Next, every video by shamla we're going to bleach wash my hair and after that, i'm going to dye it red i'm not going to bleach my hair too much. That'S why i'm doing a bleach bath! Okay! Listen! I'M here! For this idea, the execution we don't know what that's gon na be, but i'm here for the idea that she doesn't need to like fully bleach her hair with the most strong bleach ever. You know what i'm saying like she's going to use dirty volume and she doesn't need to get her hair super light. She just needs to lift like the surface of her hair and get a little bit of that darkness out that way, that red really shows, but with red, it's better. If you don't over, lift your hair and bring it to like platinum blonde before going right, because then the red just doesn't stick or it looks kind of dull. So good idea. I was blonde a few months ago, so i'm just trying to get rid of the color she's just trying to remove the surface layer of the color on her hair because she is blonde underneath that. So this is a good idea to do a bleach bath. In this situation, we're going to start off with mixing the um bleach wash and for that we're using vanilla, bleaching powder volume 20 would be good. That'S the shampoo that i'm using and i'm mixing everything in equal parts. Okay, so her formula is one part bleach. One part 20 volume developer and shampoo. Yes, that is a bleach bath. Now, let's see if she wets her hair before applying i'm going to apply it to towel damp hair, yes, wow she's doing it correctly, i'm very proud of you great job. It'S super thick, so i think i'm going to fill it out with more shampoo popping cream. I want to eat it. Give me a bite. I'Ve ate bleach before. Should i put that online? Whatever i have i've had bleach, i love bleach, so i ate it like just a little lick. It doesn't taste good my hair's so damaged when i brush it wet it feels like gummy. No, your hair feels gummy when it's wet, because it's so damaged, no, don't put any more bleach on your hair stop. So i'm not really trying to put that on my roots because my roots are healthy and i want them to stay. Okay, we're doing it again where we leave the roots out, we're doing this whole bleach bad thing. I just guys stop leaving the roots out. I get the concept, but it doesn't work like that unless you're, okay, with it being very splotchy and like all over the place, this roots color this root's, not this, you know what i mean it just because i don't mind dark boots and i think it would Look good with the red, especially next time you do this. I would say if you want dark roots, lighten the entire thing, do a very dark color in your roots for a toner and then do the red on the ends. That will give you such a seamless. Look instead of like a splotchy, weird thing: oh this application is scary. Oh, we are just taking a big chunk of hair and just laying the liner right on top, maybe take a section or two. Maybe just you know what i mean just like get the section in there do a little thing, but not that not that what you just did um, don't do that also guys bleach bath, think of a bubble bath bleach bubble bath, we'll call it because the proper Bleach bath, it should be like foaming, it should be sudsy. You should have like a bleach like it should be like white bleach, and it should be really sudsy and like make that noise like that's when you know you have enough of the bleach bath on your hair. I think my hair is already lightening up. At least it looks like it, it is lightening and it is lathering, that's good, but, oh god, i'm really worried about her roots. What'S going on with the color there, but at least it's getting to a nice chocolatey brown color and i'm going to leave it in for 20 minutes we're putting a bag on the head, which is great to keep in the heat to make sure the lightener doesn't Dry out and stays moisturized because moisture that buys bleach and develops fat better. I don't know hello again, so it's the next day and um. This is what my hair turned out like after the bleach wash holy sh. That looks good. It'S a little bit too dark for my liking. I'M here and i prepared another batch okay, we're going in again all right all right! We can't we can't just do one! No, no, not! Today, people i'm going to put it on dark spots and now the same procedure as yesterday, i'm going to wet my hair and then apply the bleach bath and then i'll see you later but see she has dark spots. There'S things going on! There'S all kinds of weird, because we didn't section and we didn't apply evenly the important thing when coloring or bleaching your hair is. You have to be confident that it turns out good because when you're confident you'll manifest it, so i'm confident that this will turn out good okay, you're right i'll, try and be more confident in you. Sorry, it's just sometimes it's hard! You can do it girl am. I manifesting properly so this is what my hair looks like now. I think it's gotten a little bit better. I just really wish her fringe was blonde, like the thing around her face is dark. Why? Let'S get that lighter okay, she's starting to apply the red color? Let'S see what happens, i think her hair is at a good level to put the red on. So i think it's gon na look good. I should have bought two bottles because i almost ran out yeah manic panic come on, who can color their entire head of hair with four ounces of color? How do we decide on that? Much? That'S, not enough. Okay, so i uh put the dye in and now i'm going to leave it in for one hour. Will it stick? I'M not sure her hair is definitely porous, so i feel like the science permanent color will stick on her and it'll. Probably look nice. I don't know, let's see hello, so that's what my hair turned out like what i like it, but it's not as red as i wanted it in some places, because i didn't have enough dye left okay. So it's definitely red, but it's definitely a little bit of like a splotchy red there's a little bit of orange in there a little copper. We need to get that even right, so i just went to the drugstore and bought some more dye, so i bought schwarzkopf crayons in the color granite. Okay, we have more toner, i'm glad it's not permanent color. This is toner, so she definitely needs to do another layer. It'S a little too light. Okay, i'm now done with the applying i'm going to leave it in for 20 minutes. So, let's get to the good news, the good news that it did work ooh, it's so vibrant, not as good as i hoped it to do. So, that's why i went to the hair shop and bought two bottles of directions in the color pillow box, red we're. Putting another round of color on which i think is a good idea because she needs it, but this is a lot it's now within three hours and i'm going to wash the dye off. I am finally done with my hair and i think it turned out really good. She looks so cute. I love this color on her skin tone. It'S so fun. It'S so fresh. I love her makeup. I love everything. It'S just really cute. I don't want something else. I think it looks good with the black boots. I just like it and it's so vibrant, sometimes with red. It really takes. You know a couple of toners a few to really get it to stick on there and really be vibrant, like especially with porous hair. It tends to really fall out quickly, but this looks dope congrats. Yes, if you guys want to check out my hair care or my hair color line, you can do so with the link down below or go to xmondohair.com. That is all for today. Thank you. BluFluffyA _: I would be curious to see the cost difference of doing this yourself and having a professional do it, considering not only product cost but time spent in the 'chair' to get it done yourself

All-Hail-Gayle: The first woman could've just gone to the salon ‍♀️. She bought the whole Sally Beauty.

Nicolle Van Dyke: By the time you purchase all the items for 3 bleach baths, olaplex, toners, shampoo, you could have just gone to a stylist and had your hair bleached, cut and styled for a little more money. Plus, a stylist will definitely know what toners, foils and time to leave the bleach items in your hair. Of course, with Corona, we had to rely on doing most of this ourselves, which in that case, it makes sense.

Kate-Emma Murray: A little part of me dies every time a girl walks out of the drug store with $200 worth of items so she can do a garbage at-home job when doing the same job at a hairdresser would have been like $120.

Kim Williams: People have got to stop taking advice from people at Sally’s: they are not hair stylists or colorists & will give you the advice they overhear. (I actually asked the girls in the two Sally’s near our home and no one was a stylist or colorist - they’re simply working retail)

mercury: The first girl was so confident in everything that she said and did while I was screaming inside, my god.

Kristy Berrett: Just FYI, Wella T11 toner produces such a more beautiful blonde than the Wella T18 toner that everyone uses for DIY blonde toning. My daughter and I have been bleaching each other’s hair for about 5 yrs now and if you are okay with all over bleach, powder lightner (not quick blue), 20 volume delveloper, a tiny bit of Olaplex and some patience (leave the bleach on long enough) will give you a great result and for a fraction of what it would cost at a salon .

Enigma1990ad: Gotta give these girls credit for being so brave with their hair. I'm a guy and only go by professionals to do anything with my hair because I am big old coward when it comes to it.

JennyFaye Muppet: Had so many hair catastrophes in the late 90’s in my early 20s. Wish we’d of had Brad back in the day for guidance, teen magazines and the back of the box is all we had. Grateful the urge to share to the world on social media wasn’t on the radar yet, though.

pfrey: I'd love to know how many people end up going to the salon after these disasters and just don't film it to save face and play it off like some miracle happened.

Sugarluxe: gotta love these "magic" end results. like girl we can all tell you got fixed and styled at a salon because you botched.

Meow Meow: The first girl really saved her hair. I agree with you. I would have bleached her level 6 regrowth with 20 or 30 vol til light yellow *then* toned with the T11. There was so many unnecessary bleachings lol!

Kellie Rodgers: Brad, thanks to you, when I dyed my daughter's hair and didn't have a dye brush (nobody had them in stock locally and we had a time restraint) I improvised and ended up using a vacuum cleaner brush that is some what similar lol. We need that good ✨ application ✨ right? If I hadn't watched your videos I would have totally just used my hands to apply it lmao. So I'm sure my daughter thanks you!

Carley: I did a bleach bath when I went to Aveda cosmetology school and I had BRIGHT pink/magenta that faded to a pretty rose gold, but I wanted to go back to blonde. My bleach bath was done on wet hair in the bowl to remove the slight pink hue and it worked PERFECTLY!! That’s the only reason to ever do a bleach bath lol OR to remove a too intense toner! I had to do that to a toner on my head in school too because it turned my hair purple

Holly Peele: I once went to a hairdresser to have my hair bleached and dyed back brown from a blue color and it costed around $500. Definitely could've done it for cheaper at home probably. I think it depends more on hair damage and the stylist you go to in terms of salon cost. Definitely worth it to go to a stylist the majority of the time though.

Chastity Howell: Brad, the hair gods knew I needed you to post this. I’m about to do a bleach bath on my hair to apply XMondo color and I have been stressed on what to do. Thanks for being such a ray of sunshine in such a hazy, dark world.

troebeliewoep: I have bleached my hair at home for years and it saved me so much money. I did all my research and the results were even. I did go to a hairdresser to get my hair dyed to my natural colour so i could grow it out. No regrets! I love being back to my natural 7/8 blond, and i love looking back on the years of being able to play with vivid colours and pastels.

Jordan: I’m just confused why everyone feels the need to spend all this money and time when they could go to a really great salon I trust you professionals! Not myself

Chelsea Pendley: I just took my hair from the super purple with level 3 roots to a silver platinum and I could not have done it without the guidance you've given over the years! I look like a whole different person now

Alex H: I just followed your instructions for a bleach bath to remove turquoise. It turned out great but I had to do it 3 TIMES to get it all out so I could go rose gold. Thank you for what you do for all of us who are too spontaneous to make hair appointments.

Whitney Girl: Yeah… tbh, this is why when I worked at Sally’s I always told people to go to a hairdresser. I can usually tell when someone doesn’t really know what they’re doing and that it’ll end in a hair disaster. The first girl ended up with a good result, but think about how much time and money she wasted for something that could’ve been so much better if done right. I’m happy for her, but damn girl it didn’t have to be that complicated

lirae666: Brad always looks SO surprised when the hair comes out well

O'Dessa Bourque: When I mix up my bleach bath, I do the application in the shower. I get that stuff all over my hair, and work it in like shampoo before putting on the shower cap. Hands down, this has been given me the most even results. Splurge for the BlondeMe for even more protection of your hair, and I use the ion two step oloplex dupe (step one goes in the bleach, step two after rinsing.), And the Redken extreme bleach repair. Doing the bleach bath in the shower lets me do the rest of my grooming while I wait for the bleach to process. The shower cap helps make sure errant water doesn't rinse out the bleach too soon. Any spilled bleach bath just goes down the drain. All in all, a great system! (◍•ᴗ•◍)❤

Keri Nielsen: Damn, by the end of all this- running back to the store, buying more products, time and money… I think I’d rather have just gone to a salon to have it done professionally

Khalilah D.: I’m obsessed with your videos. You’ve saved my hair on more than one occasion

AshleyMoralesPR: I can’t tell if it’s just that Brad is more mature or that he’s just tired of these girls messing up their hair constantly but his energy in his videos is no where near like before where he was hype and I would literally laugh at almost every word that came out his mouth. Love you either way dude ❤️

Anna Nieznanow: I never bleached my hair, but I feel like I'm a bleaching expert thanks to you, Brad

WarshukThe3rd: " Trust takes years to build, seconds to breaks and forever to repair" That's an amazing quote right there .

Sarah Gray: Maybe it is just me, but I would rather just have my hairstylist do my hair than go though the time, products, and steps that the first girl went through to get her desired result! ‍♀️

Persephie: I remember having long bleached hair and it was so dead and gummy that the weight of it was hurting my scalp. I couldn’t do updos and stuff. Luckily it was the mid to ends that were bleached so I got a hair cut and my head felt much lighter and flowy. Next time we’ll do things differently

Sarah Ogle: Brad, I just want to say. Your videos gave me the courage to bleach and dye my hair. Thank you so much! <3

Katelyn: When I first went blonde (was mostly virgin with color on the tips), the stylist I hired wanted to bleach bath me. She did it 3 times and I was ORANGE ...FOREVER. Thankfully I went to a different stylist that lifted me to where I want and currently I have an amazing stylist who understands my hair and how it lifts.

Brandi: I had to do a bleach bath twice on my daughters hair when she had a dark turquoise color in her hair. The first time barely did anything but the 2nd one got everything but one tiny spot. Her hair was white blonde. Minimal damage luckily.

Ruth Psenica: I feel like we all have the biggest friend crush on Brad….I would never just watch a hairdresser on something I don’t care/know about but I only stay for him

Perry Ann Photography: I started using your hydrating shampoo and conditioner and I’ve got to just say… I am OBSESSED. Thank you for creating your hair products because I’m in love and have never loved my shower routine so much and look forward to feeling my hair when it dries ❤️ seriously going to slowly but surely build up a collection of everything cause I trust it allllllll at this point

Tina Sanchez: Brad, I don't know if you've ever done this or not but you should do a video of someone doing their hair completely wrong vs. someone doing it exactly the right way. Also, I feel like the videos you show are never complete fails. Somehow they always turn out fine. The titles always suggest failure but the end results never seem that way. I think it would be great to see actual "fails".

jerseytomato100: I spent decades doing bleaching/foils, and was constantly fighting brass. 3 years ago I went Magenta, get tons of compliments and am so glad I don't have to deal with that mess anymore!

Vanessa Atkins: THANK YOU FOR THIS. My red hair is at the point where it's now too light for a proper bleach, but too dark to take the colour I want, and I was planning a bleach bath. Now I know how NOT to do it. I would get it done professionally, but the two times I had my hair done professionally, at well reviewed salons, I ended up very unhappy - my copper was salmon, and my honey highlights were badger streaks. They also did stuff that even I knew you weren't supposed to do, so I do it myself.

gen: i did a bleach bath on already prelightened dyed hair because i wanted to remove my dye and go blonde, and it worked! bleach bath wouldnt really work on virgin hair if you want to go blonde, youd might aswell just go in with regular lightener. I used t11 toner from wella, its a beige blonde and very beautiful, i didnt want a white platinum blonde.for the bleach bath i use 30 vol developer but i also mixed water in it, and with the shampoo it really dilutes it. my hair feels fine, i bought a keratine conditioner and it makes my hair feel SUPER smooth and healthy. A bleach bath does seem to be helpful if you want to dye it a a colour lighter than your natural (virgin) hair but its not a dramtic difference, just a base for the dye.

Hannah Sellers: I will NEVER EVER get tired of your reaction videos ❤️

wxvybaby: Thank you Brad, I searched this up to find out if it’s okay to do a bleachbath on damp hair and then you say literally instantly that that’s what I’m supposed to. Awesome

Gillian B: What pains me is the damage that’s being done due to overlapping!!! I basically WAS girl #1 (similar experience), and trust me, it was NOT worth the damage done to my hair. Like even though I managed to make my hair appear half-decent in the end, the places where I’d overlapped the bleach so many times eventually made my hair so fragile/damaged that over time it all broke off!! No matter how many masks or protectants or products I used, anytime I used any type of heat on it or even when I tried to get it professionally fixed, the over-processed hair just snapped off. So trust me y’all, it’s not worth it & just go to a professional lol

Meagan Ramundo: Fun fact: pillar box red is a wine! My parents years ago bought it once, and loved it (this one particular year was incredible) so they found ever bottle left in country, bough them and we had it for years.

RCasey: I wish someone had told me when I first started experimenting that red is too easy to get and you don’t need to be so light. One time we did the tiniest amount like my hair barely looked faded from dark brown but we just needed to open the cuticle so for New Years I had like hot pink/red highlights. It was so bright with the right product or application. I was stressed and al the haircolor for dark hair - red is perfect in that way. Sometimes If you’re lucky, it can transition to purple with blue or just go back to brown haha. Although my route has always been green to pink to light pink to blue or purple lol. Rose gold is lovely but the orange will not go away

Sara! of Fort McCookie: I did my very first bleach bath a matter of HOURS before this video was uploaded. I even rewatched the one girl who dumped the bleach bath on her head to make sure I didn't mess up anything I knew not to It actually went brilliantly -- I'm going purple to pink and the purple was mad faded out. 1 scoop Quick Blue, 1.5 oz 30 vol developer, about 1 oz of cheap crappy shampoo. Wet hair, towel dry, and start applying in small handfuls to not make a damn mess or go blind. Cover with a plastic bag, wait 35 minutes or so -- only that long because I applied to the roots, I wanted to give them a teeny lift. Yes they're orange hahaha I'm going pink it'll alllllll be fine. Probably could have rinsed in 15 if I only was stripping the dye. A+++ mad at myself for being this old and never knowing this before

〖Nuℝรe〗®™ ᏑᏌᏂ: Brad!!! I did your video on money pieces. I followed all the instructions with the parting, the bleach, checking it frequently (I needed 40 mins processing time) and it came out AWESOME!! Don’t hate but I toned with T18 (I don’t understand all the other toner numbers) and it worked! I used Kerastase shampoo and mask afterwards and NO BREAKAGE!! Thank you for that video ❤

Jessica Enmark: I watch these videos so I remember why I'm not fighting the gray in my hair.

punchdrunkassassin: Brad, where was this video back in April when I did a bleach bath to fix the awful balayage and toning I got at my local salon? The orange I got on my natural roots never went away, no matter what I did. I should have just left it and lived with it until I moved to a new city but no. Cautionary tale over here.

AM Miller: This couldn't be more timely! I just bleached my hair Friday and it's bannana yellow. I want pale pink and lavender. I was just wondering if I should do a bleach bath or another round of bleach. It's a level 9 piss yellow. The thing is, I can live with it like this. It looks like a fashion color I did on purpose... anywho thanks for posting!

Joshua Johnson: Brad, I love how you’ve been growing out your hair! It looks great

Hannah Jordan: My favorite thing my friend has ever said was when she was trying to fade color out of her hair and I told her to do a bleach bath and when it didn't work and her hair was super dead afterwards I was like "idk, maybe you didnt use enough bleach, what kind did you use?" And she goes "I mean it's the off brand kind but it always works just as good as clorox." I was like BISH WHAT!?!?

crystal Castillo: My hairdresser did a bleach bath to dye my hair blonde & all my hair fell out in the middle of my head. The WORST part was part that is was three days before my birthday. I’m still growing my hair out from that dreadful event

mewgrumpy25: I have experimented with a few methods to bleach my hair/get colour out, and I have my own mix for a bleach bath, trial and error, I used a normal bleach on one side of my hair and ended up burning it off, so to not do this on the back of my head, I decided to look up bleach baths, and found a lot of different opinions, ways of doing it, and by trial and error when I do it, it goes almost white and my hair is still in really good condition. It's the 1, 2, 3 method. 1 scoop of bleach powder, mine has flex in it, 2 scoops of developer, I use 1 10 vol and 1 30 vol. And 3 scoops of shampoo, I use Aussie SOS repair shampoo, a coconut shampoo, and a purifying shampoo. Mix it with a whisk, and then do your hair by sectioning, and using a brush to apply, and when you have coated gently rub it between your hands, and then when fully applied, rub it like you would when you shampoo your hair, it massages it thru everything, then bag your hair, leave it about 20 mins, then wash off. If you have colour on your hair, it will look as tho the colour is still on, but it's not, I'm not sure what exactly happens, but it's like it strips the colour out the hair, and then it just sits on top of the hair, or something. And when I wash it, I use Aussie SOS blonde hydration shampoo, conditioner and the 3 minutes treatment conditioner, and then shower as normal. And your hair should be in a good condition, so even if you have to do it again, it should still be soft. Sorry, I see these vids all the time, and different hairdressers say different things, it can be hard to figure out to do. I use Aussie because it works for me, you might know another make that agrees with your hair. Seriously, my hair is white. I'm resting it, then dyeing it. Not sure on the colour yet, but I dye using conditioner now, don't really use developer for dyeing anymore.. so it don't last, and I prefer that. I tend to ramble.

Tracey Threadgall: Why do i always binge watch hair fails before I get my hair done?!?!? Thankfully I always get my hair done by a professional so hopefully things like this will never happen to me

Marshea Dumas: I'm dead! You had me dying laughing with your commentary XOXOXO LOVE ❤ IT

NicCanDance: I use a bleach bath to lighten my hair because I have locs and found it really hard to properly coat each loc with just bleach. The bleach bath is watery and lathers so it makes for more uniform lightening. But yeah, it definitely gets foamy. I also only get my hair to the orange stage because I dye it copper.

Beats Bang: I’m surprised she still has hair . Her hair must be strong as hell

Sam B: Hi Brad, i love you and your videos and really need help I am bedbound so I haven’t managed to get to the salon for years, and my medications have bought out loads of grey hairs (so the doctor says), I can’t sit for long at all but I hate having grey roots at a young age. My mum used to box dye her dark brown hair and her roots always goes orange using a dark brown colour, so it maybe a simple answer, but how can I dye my grey hair that’s among virgin brown hair. I would love to have a golden brown colour, but I would also love some advice for dying my hair so it is all brown. Ty for any advice

Sugar Cookies: OMG! Literally did a bleach bath yesterday for the first time. Thank God it turned out ok!!

Iljana Lafountain: I don’t know why it made me laugh so hard when the first girl literally just mixed bleach and developer and still called it a bleach bath. Lol that’s just bleaching your hair girl

Chelsea Wickett: I had the worker at Sally’s tell me to get a certain color and my hair was light enough it would be chocolate brown, it straight turned my hair BLACK. She gave me the wrong color. So… my advice… speak to a hair stylist before doing something to your hair lol

Kaitlyn Leinen: I’m just gonna say this.. if you want RED hair that never ever goes away, great value brand cool aid. I dipped my brown hair in it for like 30 minutes for a “temporary” color. And it literally never came out and was SO BRIGHT. Even went to a salon and they could only get it to turn pink, I had to grow out my hair and cut it out.

Kimberly Erzsebet: To the people saying go to a professional, I did and I wanted a ballage highlights. I don’t know what happened, but she rushed bleaching my hair and didn’t put any foils on my hair. When she put the toner in my hair she said “oh no I put in one that was too dark, now we gotta re bleach your hair!” And I was like wtf no way man..was in that salon for 5 hours that day and came out with spotty orange hair. Paid $118 for it too. Never went back. She used to be my favorite but after that I never went back. Everytime a stylist cuts my hair I never like it… sometimes going to a professional just ain’t worth it, they fuck up my hair just as much as I would so why not just let me do it myself and learn and save so much more money.

Danielleonetwothree: Your videos make my days brighter, Brad. Thank you ☺️

Red Moonbow: I love the bleach videos we never know what's going to happen

M3ggy: Just did a bleach bath on my hair this weekend and watched the first girl’s video! I was like “oh wow is this on a brad mondo reaction yet cuz…” and look! Here it is! The universe gives

Little Peach 🍑: I love the red hair! I have purple hair at the moment and I love it! Brad is a true icon and such and inspiration we love you Brad! ❤️❤️❤️ xx

Erika Goaldway: I love doing my hair at home, those girls did amazing job! Hair stylists normally charge me 500-700 for full head bleach + toner and I have never felt satisfied with the result. I know I am not a stylist but at least if I do not like it, I have myself to blame on lol

chaoticoverdrive27: I feel like these people end up spending just as much as it would cost to just get it done at the salon. Your time is also worth something and I personally would not want to be wasting this much time

abbie doherty: Came straight to your channel when I wanted to scream out while watching a tutorial where someone called baby shampoo ‘mild’ but I have no platform hahaha it’s a mistake I see soooo people many people make and I think just explaining that they are PH balanced to tear drops not hair which is ph 4.5 and teardrops are around 7 which is much more acidic and I think knowing this will help a lot of people From a hairdresser who loves how you tell clients the truthhhh #fanfromDAY haha

luka p: i cut and dye and touch up my hair myself since i know exactly what im looking for and know what im doing but i also have a stylist i know and trust who i can go to if anything goes wrong like the back of my hair being a little uneven and stuff like that and i feel like thatd be good for so many people who want to do their hair themselves… a plan b is always good

Shannon Grady: Brad's reactions/facial expressions are everything

Taylor T: I absolutely love you and your videos! I've learned so much, but still will never do my hair at home. I love it too much.

luca amari: When he said “Baths are usually wet” I laughed. that was funny.

GamerGrandma: I’ve been thinking about trying a bleach bath for a subtle change to my darkish brown hair before dying it a natural orange. Would that do anything?

Emilee V: Just ordered my first care/of order! i’m so excited thank you Brad

Derya Demir: This has nothing to do with the contents of this video, but I simply have to appreciate Brad's hairstyle. He looks so cute and his face seems more soft compared to when he had shorter hair and / or styled it away from his face. Of course Brad is simply gorgeous. Thanks for making me smile with your videos. He's definitely one of my comfort youtubers. ❤️

Taj Simms: This was a good one brad I love a good fail reaction lol

lita gossett: For the first girl she should’ve tried wella T14 toner it’s more of a blue/violet which would’ve helped lift that orange also instead of bleaching her ends again she should’ve just done the bleaching on her roots, not hate just love cause I want everyone to have the best hair they can❤

Donna E: Your hair looks great Brad, from an old hairdresser to a young one.

PaintMySeoul: Brad I finally ordered some of your hair care products, as a curly girl I'm hoping wavetech will fix all my problems and glitterati will make me all shiny :) will update on how it all goes. Thank you for doing what you do!

Joan Cox: I’m so glad you have a new video Brad. I look forward to them so much❤️

JenPen: I feel like I could add my bleach bath fail to this. I am taking out a semi-permanent purple dye and somehow my hair turned green... At first it made sense since the bleach was blue and my underneath hair was yellow... But it didn't wash out. Still faded green. Currently anyway

Just Karen: I do a bleach bath every 6-8 weeks. I like my pink, blue, & purple hair, but I’m a natural brunette. I mix 2 scoops Wella bleach, 2 scoops 20 volume developer, 1 1/2 scoops Shimmer lights shampoo and a scoop of water. Section into 4 sections and brush it on. Add a bag without bleaching the Walmart logo to the top of my head and rinse. Then I bleach my roots. I have a Short with my hair color. I’ve been dying my hair since 7th grade, after using Sun-In on my dark brown hair. Lol! Brassy b$&@h! So, of course, I got some blond box hair dye and made it copper! Good thing I actually really liked it. That started me down a road of auburn and then a shade called Red Mahogany. That was a pretty red-purple color. They came out with a crayons red and between that and burgundy filled my years until fashion colors and my elated discovery of Sally Beauty. If I had to say what my “talent” is, I would say my hair and empathy. But, that’s literally, if I HAD to choose one. The reality is, I have no talent and it’s annoying. I want to create a channel so badly, but how, without anything to offer? Anyway, sorry for rambling, I enjoy writing and tend to be wordy. Lol! BTW, I love your channel!!!!!

Jailyn Lomas: people who say it would cost around the same to go to a salon .. how much is this stuff around yall ?? bc everything totals under $40 around me. bleach packets are $3-$4 , buckets $10-20, wella toners are $6-$8.. how is that the same as paying atleast $100 for a color job at a salon..

Shandi Charee: My most successful bleach bath was done on damp hair and I used 30 volume, ion bright white lightener, head & shoulders shampoo, and olaplex shampoo. When I washed it out, I used a combo of blue and purple shampoo twice letting it sit about 2-5 min each time. (Because my hair always gets yellows and oranges.) Then I used an olaplex repair mask. My hair looked and felt amazing. This was after previously bleached hair to level 7 that had been colored for about a month with Arctic Fox Transylvania. I had used Color Oops hair color remover that only faded it halfway since it isn't really meant for that, then did the bleach bath and toning shampoo to get to a level 9 or 10, however, heads up people, Transylvania can leave pink stains in your hair. This eventually came out after a vitamin c treatment and several washes with mix of head & shoulders green apple, purple and blue shampoo, and Olaplex. My own little concoction that worked wonders. Idk if the green apple makes a difference but I chose it because it's green and the stains were pink. Hoping this helps anyone in a similar situation. All I use now is color depositing conditioners.

maria xoxx: Brad will give us the SAME tips in every video and girls will start their videos like "sorry brad" and still do everything wrong

Tate Jones: I think we have all learned not to take “professional” hair advice from Sally’s employees.

Olivia Sokolosky: “No water. Ok?” I don’t know why but that made me laugh SO hard (it was with the first girl)

[MARIA]H0T Girl-C0me 0ver L!ve: I did a bleach bath when I went to Aveda cosmetology school and I had BRIGHT pink/magenta that faded to a pretty rose gold, but I wanted to go back to blonde. My bleach bath was done on wet hair in the bowl to remove the slight pink hue and it worked PERFECTLY!! That’s the only reason to ever do a bleach bath lol OR to remove a too intense toner! I had to do that to a toner on my head in school too because it turned my hair purple

Edit Mode: every time she says "i realized i needed to go in" im like YESS GIRL go to the salon! and then she said "with more bleach" and i died lol

Sandy Eusanio: Love your videos Beautiful! What I don’t understand is why not just go to a salon and have it done instead of running back and forth to the beauty supply store and probably spending the same amount you would have probably spent at the salon ‍♀️

Fernanda Barragan: Brad!!! for how long do you leave the bleach bath?! does it depend on how fast it lightens my hair?

Bella Kamens: I swear every time Brad posts,my hair changes I get bored then get ideas from his videos and somehow I always end up at Sally’s buying some sorta something to ruin my hair some more

Schamla: OMG! Thank you so much for reacting to my Video I really loved the red!

Ida Madsen: this is so interesting to watch, as i only ever bleach my hair with (correct lmao) bleach baths. i have very fine hair, and no hair stylist i've gone to, have wanted to bleach it for me, so diy'ing has been the only option for me lol. my hair certainly isnt professionally done, but it always comes out even and takes all my many many split dyes well

Emily Mae: I wish I had the time and confidence to create and solve problems like this haha
