Guys welcome back to my channel okay. Today, several weeks ago, I made a little YouTube short, where I showed how I applied my wig cap and my wig grip. This is a process I used before I put on my wig every time now. I have had so many questions about that short and they want to know more details. So I thought I'm just going to make a short video going into a little more detail of how I do this. Why I do this and just giving you some more information about it? Okay, first of all, disclaimer, I'm not saying you should do it this way. I'M not saying anyone should do it this way, I'm just going to show you how I do it. This is my process I like to do this when I put on my wigs, and so this is just my opinion - everybody has their own opinion and I just like to show you how I do it and why I do it this way. Now, as you can see, I have super short hair and I love it and yes, I wear it out. Just like this many many times, I don't always wear a wig. There are times I just go out with my short hair on and that's what I love about this whole wig journey. I don't have to wear a wig every day if I don't want to, but if I do, I wear a wig, so it's just my choice. Every day and I love having choices now, you know when I wear my wigs, I wear a different color and a different style every day to work. I always wear a wig and I will have a different color and a different style on every day. You know that I've talked about it many times and I love this wig journey. I love the freedom weeks provide me to have a different look to match my outfit. It'S the Best of Both Worlds. Okay, so let me tell you what I'm going to use and what I do use I first of all, and I will link everything below this video, so you will see where to get it and what uh details about it. I use it stays. This is a water-based adhesive. I have always used it. No, it doesn't pull my hair when I take it off. When I take off my wig cap. No, it does not pull out my bio hair. I'M trying to answer some of the questions that I have gotten on my short for you, so no it does not pull out my bio hair. This is an adhesive. It is a water-based adhesive. After I take off my wig cap and my um wig group, at the end of the day, I jump in the shower and I wash my hair and it washes right out. So that's what I use there now my wig grips. I like a wig grip. That is elastic in the back, the reason being the ones that are velcro slip right off of my hair. I have really fine thin hairs, you can see and the ones with velcro just slip right off of my head. I cannot wear them, so I need the kind that have elastic in the back. These are available at wigstudioone.com. I will link it again below this video, so you'll be able to see that they also also have the ones that have the lace really nice again elastic back, but this one has the lace. So if you like that great, I like them both, but I tend to honestly wear the plain one most of the time, just my preference again, I you can wear the one with the lace when you have a mono top, so you don't get any marks there. Any demarcation marks where the wig grip might have a seam or anything. You have this lace here. I don't find that it really matters that much to me. No one gets that close up to my head to see that. So I just prefer this one. It'S the one like I said, I wear the majority of the time and I love it. It is great now, as far as a wheat cap I like the open-ended wig caps. You can get them everywhere, Amazon anywhere, like that. You can pick up these just open-ended wig caps. That'S what I like now people ask me: isn't all that hot not at all for me, I don't find this hot at all. I guess I'm so used to wearing it that it's like second nature to me. I feel like I have to have this on it's just my way. Now you could just wear a wig grip and that's all most people do that, and it works perfectly fine. Just with a wig grip, you don't have to have a wig cap too. It'S just how I like to wear it, but you could just wear a wig grip and and do just as well now. The reason I do this is for a couple reasons mainly like I said I feel like it's so secure. My wig is not going anywhere. I can promise you that I can wear this all day. It does not give me a headache. I don't feel like it's too tight. It is not hot, it is just security for my wig. That is all this is for me now. Um again, I just want to make sure you understand about the it stays now. You could just put a little bit right on the front and maybe a little at the nape probably would work fine. I put it all the way around the perimeter, because that's just how I do uh, I also yeah. I want you to just make sure you get another look at this now again my hair's super short. I like to wear this because it gets under the bottom of my bio hair and none of my bow hair is out a lot of times I'll put on a very short pixie. If you've watched my channel, you know I've reviewed lots of short short Pixies with super short napes. I, like those they're great, and if I wear when I have this on, I know that none of my bio hair is going to show or come out under the nape, even though my hair is really short now, if you have a little longer hair, this works Great too, you could pin your hair up use a wig cap and you would not have to worry about any hair falling down and coming outside your wig again just my way. So I'm going to show you how I do that. First of all, I just slip. My wig cap on just like this open my itch stays and, like I said I just run some. I pull my sideburns back just again. A lot of people leave theirs out. You certainly can I just like to pull mine back, and this will keep them back behind my ears just like that. I run it around and then I'm going to run it all around the Navy just like that. It'S still that simple and then I'm going to pull my wig cap up normally, I wouldn't have earrings on, but I do and I'm going to get up here so I can see - and you see how easy that is, I pull it all the way up make Sure it's smooth in the back and you see my hair - is all contained right underneath there I pull it back just a little just like this now good to go there. Then I get my wig grip and I put it on right on top of it, as you can see, you can still see my bow here and pulling it back, because I'm going to have a lace front and then I just tuck mine in to the back Of it just to have it smooth, you don't have to do that, but I have a smooth look there and I am ready to go. It is not hot, it is not heavy, it is not tight. I cannot even tell I have it on I'm just so used to wearing it so, like I said it's just second nature to me, but I can wear this wig and it is not going anywhere this okay, I'm going to put on Raquel, Welch untold story and Fiery, copper: I will link it down below, so I just slip this on, as you can see, make sure you get it straight now. This wig gripping my cap and grip does not affect how the lace lies. You can see it's perfectly flat and you are ready to go and I can promise you your wig is not going anywhere like I said I can wear this all day. Doesn'T bother me at all. I think it's a great way for me to always feel secure and my wig is in place thanks so much for joining me. I hope you enjoyed this leave me lots of comments and I'll see you next time.

Crazywiglady: I hope you enjoy this short video showing how I apply my wig cap and grip; using this technique your wig will stay all day and never move! xoxo

Serenity: Thanks for this, Eileen! I’ve always been afraid to wear a wig cap because I have a really itchy scalp and I’m afraid it’ll make it worse, but I have one that I got with a WIG purchase and I think I’ll try it this week. I also bought that same style of wig grip after seeing it in one of your videos, but I find it rides up in the back, just like the Velcro ones do. So I’m waiting on a glue gun that I ordered from Amazon and I’m going to run a line of glue on the inside of the stretchy strap and see if it will act like silicone once it dries, like they do on the bottoms of socks, to make them nonslip. Thank you so much for your videos!

Just C.J.: Thank you, for this!! I have every one of these products. I just didn't know how to combine them to give me a perfect, secure fit. Definitely, getting up in the morning and doing these steps with my "it stays" and wearing one of my wigs all day. You're awesome thanks, so much!!!

Alicia Alvarez: I'm on my second year of my wig journey due to alopecia where hair will never grow back. Watching you truly helps me, I love how positive you are and your attitude with wigs. It has helped me when I'm struggling and just feeling down. Thank you

Deborah Barrett: Thank you so much for sharing this! I always wondered about the cool wig grip you had that covers everything...now I realize it's two pieces, and LOVE the open ended cap!! Also am wondering what the main differences are between Untold Story and Upstage? They seem very similar~ Thank you for sharing your journey and knowledge with us!

Becky C.: Thanks for making this one Eileen! I didn’t realize you can put the It Stays on bio hair. I’ve had it before and know it’s easy to wash out. I ordered the wig grip as well. I have the one without the elastic currently and it has started to stretch out of shape. Untold Story? Not available at WS1 until April

Kathleen Beauchemin: Great idea! There are some wigs that I really need a grip and because I have buzzed my hair and don’t have a prominent occipital bone the grip slips right off. Will have to try the elastic back one! Thank you, Eileen…have a wonderful day ❤

Julie George: You look amazing Eileen and make it look so darn easy and comfortable!

museumgrl001: Fabulous video! I've been wearing wigs on and off and not using a cap or grip. The velcro back grips just ride up and I can't seem to find the type with elastic at the back here in England but I'll keep searching. Thanks for all the good tips in this video! You look brilliant in all the wigs! xx

Clara: Thanks Eileen great to see exactly how you prepare before putting on a wig

Joanne Schleicher: I definitely am going to try the wig cap again. I always felt it was too tight, And I also am going to order It Stays. Now I know why I never see your sideburns. You get them to slick back - PERFECT! Also need to tuck the hair on my nape in sometimes. So I think the cap is a necessity. Thank you for your outstanding demo.

Tamara Sallee: You make it look so easy

travelernow: This kind of blows me away. I'm so glad that works for you. I feel like having all those items under my wig would make me so claustrophobic. Luckily I seem to be able to just wear my wig with nothing underneath it. However if the wind comes up I have to hang on to my hair!

Vivian Polner: I will definitely try this Eileen! Thank you so much!

Sherry Davis: Thank you for doing this video. I have fine soft hair and have the same problem with it sliding off. I've not tried this kind. I'm going to get one and try it.

Martha Gutierrez: You’re so nice sharing all these tips. Thanks

Dixie Seymour: Thanks! you look lovely with and without! Great videos!

Becky Elston: Your makeup always looks so beautiful! You should do a video of your application :)

Janet Schwartz: Eileen, you make it look so easy and effortless. My problem is that my head sweats. I’m soaked by the bed of the day and even with it stays and a liner for sweating my wig slips. Any suggestions?

Susan Schwartz: I thought this was a very informative video and will now apply my it stays the way you do. My Velcro wig grip is very thick at the back so I checked out the wig grip you used in the video from wig Studio One. It says one size fits all but I am very petite with a nearly 20 inch so I hesitate to buy it because it cannot be returned. Can you tell me how much of the elastic band in the back can be tightened? PS wig is beautiful on you.

Wendy Amsterdam: I don’t think I have ever seen your bio hair That untold story looks amazing on you. I did try ItStays but it did not prevent my wig from slipping back. I now use a wiggrip and got2Be glue under the lacefront (also helps with itching)

Lynn Russell: Thank you very much! Does this wig grip tighten by moving the clip like a bra strap? When you put it on in this video, when did you tighten it?

Sylvia Roberts: Each wig that you show makes you look amazing. You are stunning.

Margaret Tassey: Thanks. I didn't see the short, but I was wondering if the cap was part of the wig grip and I see they are separate pieces. I don't use a cap, just the wig grip and have a similar problem with the velcro.

Joyce Keenan: Great video, thanks!

paintkit: Hi Eileen, I'm wondering if you cut your own hair or have stylist do it? I don't feel confident to do it myself and really don't want my expensive stylist to do it. Thank you!

PineCrone: Thank you, Eileen. Love you in those OOLALA reds!

Judy Lee: Does your lace front on your wig ever itch, where it lies? Or makes the area you’re wearing it break out?

Tammy Alonzo: Thank you so much!

Lydia Johnson: My head is flat in the back, and caps and grips tend to slide up. Maybe it would help me to use the adhesive and wig grip like yours. The grip that came up from the link you gave says it is adjustable and stretches, but the pictures don't show the elastic. I think it may not be the right one.

Diana Overmyer: I love watching your videos

Judy Grayson: Pretty color on you!

Lisa Viviano: All decorated for Christmas!

Carolyn Smith: No link below showing on iPad utube :(
