What'S up guys welcome back to the channel, so today i am so excited. I have a new series that i'm going to be starting here on the channel called make it black owned. That title is it's not final? Yet if you can think of something better or you don't like it, and you have suggestions, let me know in the comments. I am all ears. We all been shopping a lot on instagram in 2020. Let'S just keep it real, but i have just been so intentional to just shop at black owned businesses. The products are so good and they're, so unique and so well made. And oh, i can't wait to share with you guys some of the things that i've gotten, that i've found a lot of times i'll just happen to come across them many times it's i'll notice like a comment under one of my photos or videos, and it's someone From my community that just happens to have a business and i'll just go find something that i like there. So i try to share some of the things i buy in my instagram stories, but i'm just finicky with instagram stories either. I'M like all in or like all out and disappearing for, like two weeks, i'm an introvert and i'm a capricorn. That'S just how i am so. I figured that this would be a really cool idea to share the products that i've been buying. Maybe uh do a review if i've already been using them or first impression, if it's something that i just picked up, i'm so excited because i feel like you're gon na find a ton of black owned businesses to shop from, and i'm going to discover new black Owned businesses and it will help the businesses as well get more discovery, which is like a win-win for everybody, and the businesses won't always be about hair. They can be about everything from hair stuff to like candles and home decor bags, clothing. Everything. So if you guys are excited about this series, just give me a thumbs up. Let me know in the comments what you think about it. If you have any brands that you think that i should go check out, if you are somebody from my community that owns a business, just put it in the comments below and i will check it out as well. Look i have to pace myself. I am not made of money, so, let's be clear: it's not going to be a shopa palooza. I might send out a specific email address for you guys to contact me if you want me to check out your black owned business. If i do, it will be in the description box below and or on screen. If i don't, then you won't see the cell okay moving on everything in these videos will be purchased by me or has been purchased by me with my own dollars. When i choose to support a business i like to like, actually spend my money to support the business. Put my money where my mouth is. I don't like to ask them to send me stuff, so everything has been purchased by me or will be purchased by me in these videos. It also gives me a chance to um. You know check out their customer service and shipping and all that and just get it like a better, well-rounded view about the business itself and the businesses have no clue that i'm even shopping their site unless they see my name pop up or something like that. But it's not like a collab or something where i you know contact the business to let them know. Sometimes i do like. Sometimes, if they're like a friend of a friend most of the time, the businesses don't even know that i'm purchasing from them. So i think that that's really great just gives a little bit more anonymity and you know just makes it more realistic and true to the experience. So today's company, i'm really excited about it's very unique, and it's called the lazy hat. So i came across this company when i posted a reel or something on my instagram, and somebody commented, and i noticed the picture was like a business and that's called like the lazy hat and i was like what is that i was like okay. Let me just click on it and see, and i was like, oh my god. This is so amazing. Let me go get your lazy hat hold on i've never heard of these before, but this is like freaking genius. So what this is is for those days when you just are having a bad hair day. Maybe you just don't want to like do your hair for me, i was thinking like in the morning times when i'm rushing to get the kids to school. So you just don't really feel like being seen by anybody. Well then, you just grab a lazy hat, and this this is the lazy hat. It is a baseball cap with hair attached to it. I know, is this not the craziest thing you've ever seen. I freaking love it when i purchased. They had two different styles of hair. They have like a wavy hair and a straight hair, and my favorite is the wavy hair. So i have kind of a big head, so i had to expand the hat just a little bit and if you guys are interested in how i did that, let me know below, and i will show you how i did that in another video, because i do Have to expand the straight hair hat. You can make the hat bigger and smaller in the back with this little guy, and then you can just tuck it in like that. The only thing i do have to do is go in and like style, the hair. Just a little bit more just because it's a little silkier than i would naturally be used to. I am so used to my like type for natural hair that i just feel a little bit uncomfortable with super straight hair, because i don't wear wigs and stuff. So i don't really know how to how to rock that yet. But this is such a great option for those of us who, like maybe don't, really know a lot about wigs, we're not in that realm of hair sorcery. Yet so you just grab your lazy hat and you put it on you're running late. You got ta go somewhere and you are instantly a betty like who are you betty? Okay, look how cute? Yes, lazy hat! I think this is so awesome. Yes, yes, honey working! Everything so i have to get my hair really flat because number one i have a gigantic head and i have a lot of hair put it like that and then drop it on. This is how it looks in the back see, i feel like a lot of girls do this already when they put their wigs on and they don't have time to style the front they just put a hat on top or like a headband or something. Ah, i love it. What i'm gon na do is i'm gon na be styling mine. I'M gon na put it in like a flexi rod or perm rod, so it gets really tight. I'M gon na dip it in hot water and then i'm just gon na brush. It out so it's kind of like froze, because i think this is a little too long for me and i just wanted to have a little bit more of an afroe stage. Don'T worry, i'm looking at the uh, the road while i film this one thing that i noticed that i never liked about wigs. I have tried to wear them before and i wore one wig out in public once before. I just felt really weird in it, because it felt like i was wearing a hat like it feels like a wig feels like a hair hat. This one feels a little bit more comforting because it actually is a hat, i'm down with the wig hat, like i really like the wig hat, it's nice. If you are somebody who is really feels uncomfortable wearing a wig out of the house. Like me, this is a great gateway, i'm having a scrunchie pulled back just give you that update bye. This one is the blowout hair. Oh, you know what - and i didn't stretch this out so this one's going to be a little too tight. Oh god! Oh! Oh! No, it's not actually the first time i tried it. My hair was in twist so i'm sure the twist added a little bit more bulk. Oh you guys. You finally got the silk press that you've been asking me to do. If you ever wanted to know what i look like with relaxed hair here, you are either i'm going to style this or i'm going to cut it into a bob again, it's a little bit too much hair for me, so maybe i'll like bob it. So it's like this, like that, you know. Yes, the co-founder's name is jade. She is a beautiful black woman and i'm going to put the information for the lazy hat in the description below, so you guys can check them out and if you go to their instagram or anything, let them know that nap sent you nap 85 sent me girl. I put the straight lazy hat on olivia and she fell in love with her image i was like get out of here. I just snatched that thing off her head so fast. I got scared for a minute. I thought she was about to like, go and cut off her curls and like because you know growing up. We all did the towel on our head situation. I want to be a barbie. I was like what did i do? Why did i put this hat on her because she literally she was looking in the mirror with her straight hair and she was like, and i was like - no, no, no, no! No! No! No! No! If she wants to straighten her hair, i'm okay with it. I'M just saying i didn't want to start something in her that maybe wasn't there before, but anyway, this is the lazy hat super exciting. Let me know if you guys, like this series again, all the information for the lazy hat is going to be in the description below. If you guys want to watch me style, these hat wigs. Let me know in the comments below and also if you want to see how i expand the hat to make it fit over my bigger head. Let me know, i hope you guys enjoyed this video. Thank you so much for watching, and i will see you in the next one you can do better. You can do better.

Sailor Earth: Call it Melanated Money. Yes to always supporting black businesses!

Vicky M: I've heard of people actually gluing tracks to a beanie or cap to make a similar version. But I love the hair hat idea to just throw on and go, especially during these covid times

:): Love it! Toni Daley has a similar segment on her channel called Support a Sista. I love supporting black female owned businesses

angelica: The day I was rushing to close the car door and my hat bib got caught in the door and ripped off...talk about the embarrassment. In other words SECURE the hat wig ladies

Joyza: And because of you...I have just ordered my very first “wig”!

Toni Scott: The lazy hat is genius! I remember when I was young (a looooong time ago) my mom had this scarf that had bangs velcroed to the front (I guess scarves were more in vogue for women back then than baseball caps!) I think my dad got it for her on a trip to Japan. I remember thinking that was sooo cool, but in a weird way! LOL!!

Trisha: Wait...the cap is satin lined! That is genius! ❤

Racqs Real: Black owned businesses for the win!

Queen Ruby: Ooh I like this idea make it black owned. U have all my support

MZWATSON804: I’m EXCITED I follow a TON of Black owned businesses on IG & Facebook. I LOVE THIS IDEA and thanks for supporting Black Owned!

peachmari: I absolutely love this series black owned businesses forever!

T's 'Āina Homestead: I NEEDED this! I was just debating getting a headband wig bc I'm just not in the mood to do the hair & not a wig girl@all. I just supported & got both!

C j: Love this series! I’d suggest a black owned jewelry company or shoe company.

Crystal Andrews: This is amazing. I’ve been making a conscious effort to transition as many products and services to black owned businesses. I want to support however I can.

ShogoMakishimaxx: I know that this is irrelevant, but I REALLY miss the kids. I hope that we can see them again on this channel.

Carmelita.88: I saw everybody with the headband wigs....I just took one of my old wigs and sewed a headband on it, lol

Tiffany: Title suggestion: Black owned everything Can’t wait for the series!

Faith G: your energy in this video was EVERYTHING! I would love to see a video on how you style and expand them!

Tessa: I like the straight look on you! It’s gorgeous! I JUST bought my first wig yesterday (half wig). BUT THIS!!!!! Edit: Just bought both of them!!! Woohoo for lazy days!!

Pamela Anderson: Whitney, girl you inspire me! I’ve been transitioning my hair for the past year. So far so good. It’s a lot of work, but I so appreciate all of your tips and I ordered your hair products. I really like them and I can’t wait for more❤️. Take care and stay blessed. Pamela

Tricé Marié: I’m down for the hat styling! Nice series! I’m here for it!

Amber C: Hey Whit! I'm so excited for this black owned series. Daye La Soul has been doing something like this on her channel as well. It's great to see black creators promoting black businesses

Carla Moore: I absolutely love that you are supporting black-owned businesses, and I'm definitely ordering the lazy hat! I love this series so please continue to hook us up with black-owned businesses so we can support them.

cleoclaus69: Hey Whitney! Just received my very first order of the Melanin hair care line and am about to do my first wash day with them! I’m not a wig person, but I would definitely consider this, as I am most definitely a hat person. Thanks for the heads up on this brand!

carwash38: It’s great you’re about supporting black businesses. Shout out to Toni Daley also, for “Support A Sista”...she’s all about it!

sxylilvirgo shortie: I love this!! I been trying to support more black owned businesses as well so this is perfect. Thank you!! And yes I ordered all 3 hats!!!

Keisha Byrd: Love it! I think this is so easy and breezy! Looking forward to the new series

DragonGoddess: I'm so with this!!! If I couldn't love you more, Queen, for wanting to create a channel like that!!! I use your products on my husband, son and myself. Have to re-up but Thank you, Whitney for being a incredible influence on my life the past 10 years!!! Mad love from NYC!!!

Candidly Candice: Girl! Yes! Thank you for this! Great idea! Now your channel will be my one stop shop for Black Owned Businesses! Love this!!!! “Shop-a-palooza” Dying!!! Also, loving the throwback videography in the bathroom!! Thanks for the review!

J C: I love this idea!! But I think I’ll wait for the kinky textured one to come out before I buy

Michele J Taliaferro: I'm buying both! Love. Love. Love. Edit: I recieved my hat today and it is Ka-ute!!! No shedding, adjustable cap, and the hair is FULL. I am going to trim a little at the bottom because the hair is thick at the ends but besides that, it's a win for me all winter.

Belinda N: I totally understand the wig apprehension! I’ve also never really worn them. But the straight one is actually cuter on you!

Kimberly Akinola: Love the series, this is a brilliant idea! Would love to see a styling video!

jennifer haggard: Love this series you are starting and love the look of the wig hats! This is a great alternative to just a regular wig. I hope you post some videos on how you style them.

Celeste Hill: i want to see a part 2 + and I love this series.

Ava Norris: Thank you for posting this!! I’ve been looking for another option. I’ve gotten a couple of “natural” curly wigs from Afro Anew and needed an alternative. Just ordered both from the lazy hat. I’m an introvert and Capricorn too!!!

Diane D: This is a really good idea. This could encourage a slew of YT channels reviewing black owned businesses. Yaaaas

Mckwag Atl: Love it! Got one for me & my bestie Thank you Whitney!

Najs Moneé: ahahah! i love that someone made a business from this. my mom (and me too i think, before i was natural and wore weave ponytails) used to do this with a hat and a few tracks. lol. if we were in a rush we would just put the tracks into place at the back and sides of our head and put a cap over it. then you just tighten the cap in the back to keep it in place. worked like a charm.

karen williams: I love you!!!!always doing something different, cutting edge supporting other black businesses. A real OG! I love that you are buying with your own money.

Sunkissed Peony: I thought of this while going to the gym having a protective style and wearing a hat and hot full wig. I'm so happy someone made it so I can buy it!

Crystal D: Love this series and I NEED a lazy hat!

breanna vinson: Yessssss, I find it difficult to find black owned business products. I'm loving this segment.

Celeste MyHand: I love the video. Please keep them coming. It’s nice to know that they are more black on companies out there and we can look forward to utilizing them.

Rachelle Saint-Louis: There’s this one black owned business that makes bookmarks and stationary. It’s called Seasonal Pages and they’re so cute ☺️ i found it through Instagram

Obaa Yaa Jones: Whitney!! Happy to see you Thanks for the video. I felt that part about Olivia falling in love with the straight hair. My lil one also puts blankets or bandanas on her head, pretending it was her hair

Briany Perard: I"m so excited for this series. Please make a video of you styling !!!

CASSINE70: Yes to everything! And love it if you did the series on black owned businesses!

phyllis ward: I always talk about getting a wig but never have. This seems like a great idea. Thanks for shopping Black and sharing your experience.

Jeanette Ladonna: So I finally just ordered my lazy hat & I'M SO EXCITED...unfortunately the wavy and straight hats were sold out but thankfully they had the kinky curly one which was just as good but cost a little more

Matiwonesa: Yes! A wig feels like a hat to me too!!! I thought I was alone. And, when it get HOT under there I might just you know, take it off...randomly.

Briana: I love that it has a satin lining. That is a MUST for naturals. But I am so for supporting Black Owned Business. So if you do a series, I'll be parked in front of my smartphone

Twylight Weekends: This is great! I can’t wait for more of this series!

Ministry with Rev. Michele Sweeting-D: I ordered! I LOVE it!!! Going to order the wavy now!

2075vj: Yes, style it! I’m going to do the big chop in 3 weeks and I was looking for something to help me adjust. My relaxed hair in about 22 inches but it’s falling out. I can’t manage it bc I have relaxed it in 6 mos bc it’s weak. I think it’s best to just have chopped at this point and embrace my natural hair.

Mariesa Hawkins: A wig even I can wear ! Highly likely I’ll check this out! Looks like a fun switch up option .

T Old: OMG shout out to that company. Sad for me bc I did this in my high school days (I'm knocking on 50's door) and my friends thought I was crazy. Oh well, congrats to she/him/them on this. Many blessings on this and future endeavors.

Nonny Pope: Love what you’re doing, keep up the good work!!❤️❤️

Meme Simone: I think that's a great idea. I've never done the wig thing even though the word on the street is that's the best protective style challenge of the century. Lol. Cool plug Whit.

Beautiful: Unity! Supporting each other I LOVE IT!! I love this series and I wanna see you style them

Ebony Bertelsmeyer: I would definitely like to see you style the lazy hats.

lillydot: Very excited for thos series! I'm excited to learn about the candles in your vlog video. Candles are one of my guilty pleasures. I'm excited to sink all the money I spend on them into a black owned company!

Kami Koils: Thanks for this Whit!!! I saw her ad on IG a week or so ago and immediately said to myself I gotta get this! But, didn’t know which style hair to choose. But, after seeing this I think I’m gonna get both now!

Elise: I definitely want to see how you style them and expand them! Big head, long-haired woman here as well ‍♀️

Shareefah Stanley: Yes! I want to see it all! How you style it, expand it, and do whatever else you want. I love watching your videos! It could even just be a video of you eating a bag of chips and I’d watch haha.

Chris Ray: This looks cute on you. My former mother-in-law did this several years ago and I laughed at her. I guess she was on to something. After you mentioned Olivia, I realized I hadn’t seen her in hella, so I went to your Instagram and she is SO big!!! Such a cutie pie . I can’t believe she’s 8 years old.

Nikka: Such a great Idea and good price. I don't where wigs either. I feel like I could be comfortable wearing this! Love this series!

Miss K: You seem so happy, your energy seems so lifted. I hope you don’t mind me saying ❤️ And the hat wig really suits you. ✊

Laurice: While working in the hospital I’ve often seen similar hat + hairpiece products like this in brochures for patients with Alopecia or Cancer. Berets, turbans, bonnets and head scarves with removable clip on bangs too. Available in many hair colors, styles, lengths and several textures. But those companies are not Black owned. Thanks Sister. It’s great that you have introduced this product to the general public!!

Rebecca McKenzie: Love this series! I would love to see how you expanded and style!

Teri Howell: I ordered both the straight and body wave lazy hat...thanks for doing the review

Claire Haire: I love this review. I hate myself for not patenting this back in 2009 when I would do this for days on campus when I didn't have time to do my hair before my 8am class.

CG Natural: Go Whitney Go! Hey Capricorn sis- love this series, keep pushing it! ❤️❤️

JustFluffyQuilting: Both styles look good on you. Looking foward to see how they look after you style them - especially the curly one.

dellabella2014: I agree with what you said about the texture of the hair. If these came in kinky/curly hair textures and in a beanie I'd be all for it. I think attaching a "lazy" hat to looser/straight texture just feeds into the stigma of naturally kinky hair being unmanageable and unsightly when it's not perfectly styled.

Ms Temptation: Okay, I like this. I don't do wigs either but this would be up my alley especially when I don't feel like combing my hair just to go hiking. I can secure my braided hair under this and I'm good to go. I want the wavy one because that's the exact texture of my natural hair. I have to get this lazy hat.

TheOnylove: I just bought the MelaninHaircare styling cream and oil. It came sooooo fast. I ordered it 12/15/20 at 1:15 AM and received it 12/16/20 at 4:00 PM. I don't know what magic you have but the $10 shipping was sooo worth it. Just in time for wash day!!! Can't wait to see if the hype is real :)

Dependable T H: Yes, please show how you expanded the hat and how you style the wave hair

I Am RallyGirl™: Hey Nap! I always loved the hair hats. Would be great to see how you style the wavy one!

Bella Goddess: Hi, I love your new series, it's a very cool idea! I'd love to see how you style your hat wigs. Thank you!

Jermaine Au Natural: This series is super dope! It may not be late before the holiday but I found out about a company on IG called the Black Paper Party. They do wrapping paper, ornaments etc... so cute. This hat is such a cute idea. I’m have to pass this on to a couple friends. Love this idea

Hangin With The Shyrees: I love this! Genius! I am going to purchase mine now. Merry Christmas to me, lol.

Sabrina White: So cute. I definitely need one in my life!!!!

Theresa Andrews: I thought I was the only one who felt awkward in wigs lol. This is perfect for me. I hope they have brown. #nowigconfidencelol

Judith Ohikuare: This is *amazing*. I've never been into wigs but I've been thinking a lot about them lately and had no idea where to start. I'll start here! It looks great!

Jassiepoohbear🍯: Love this!!! But I'm gonna wait till they make a more afro/curly/coily textured version cause I really am lazy and don't want to put in the time, effort, and courage to hot water boil it myself.

CuteNobi: So glad to see you posted a video. Congrats on getting your products on store shelves.

ife360TV Naturally: This is a great idea for us girls who won't be styling any wigs, anytime soon

Candis C: Snatched mine. I ended up getting the kinky curly and the body wave. Can’t wait to get mine. Thanks Whit!

anita scott: This is such a great idea I’m going to purchase one thanks for the good info double

thajazzygirl: I love this! Looking forward to the series.

Anissa: Omg love this! Thanks for the hook up girl!
