Attempting My First Wig Install (Fail?)| Frontal Wig |Bleaching Knots, Plucking & Bald Cap Method

Hey guys welcome back to my youtube channel before y'all say anything. Yes, i look rough right now i mean, if you know me, then you know i always look rough but but no like. I got a reason right now, so i'm really excited for this video, because this is my first week install like i've. Never did it on anyone else. I i never did it on myself, but this is my first time and i'm excited a little bit nervous, but i'm going in with a lot of confidence. I watch a lot of videos. I talk to my cousin. She do a lot of wigs and i'm just like i'm like prepared, like you, can't if you go in scared, like thinking you're gon na mess up like what the good does that really do you so today and for this first half of this video. This is just like the week prep like i'm getting the week together, i'm reach the knots and pluck the wig and tomorrow after i take my hair out, while she get it braided down and stuff, i'm going to do the actual, install i'm off for two days. So that's great because i haven't had any of the time to actually do this and i have an appointment later today, so i don't want to start taking down my hair and washing my hair. I have to go to my appointment. Looking a mess, so i'm gon na just start the wig and get that out the way so tomorrow all i got ta do is just put it on my head, so i was kind of playing bleach in the knots, but i kind of want to get the Full experience - and i want the wig to be like as good as it can be, so i'm gon na go ahead and i'm gon na do that. This video and i'm gon na show you all the wig and everything right now. Okay, this is the packaging i bought this wig. This way it came from amazon. It was like 96 on amazon. It'S a 20 inch wig, it's a 13x4 lace front. I got this from a girl who got this off amazon and she didn't want it and she only charged me 90, but she sent me the link and i looked at the reviews and stuff and i feel like it's a pretty decent week, especially for like my First time and it was only 90 dollars, i didn't want to eff up an expensive wig. So this is that yo, i'm so excited. I don't want to play with this wig, the second i got it. I mean, of course i like looked at it and touched it and everything, but i was like i wanted to put it on my head today. I got it, but i'm like like just no one, has been sitting in my room and driving me crazy, i'm so ready to put it on so yeah. This is 20 inches. It'S like body wave. I guess body weight ish. It looks straight up here, but down here i got something like bounce to it: um so yeah, i'm gon na leave the link of the wig in the bio, so y'all can go look at it for yourselves, but this is what i'm working with, and i think This is like a transparent lace, because it's definitely not hd or anything. I'Ve seen some people in the comments like this is definitely hdb um. I don't know much about wigs, but it's not giving hd but like that's fine like i didn't really care for that, but i'm just trying to show you all the week and everything um. I went shopping yesterday for uh, a bunch of hair stuff, so i'll show y'all what i got. Oh, i got me a mannequin head. I know people be having like them more expensive, like the real mannequin heads. They have one in the store for like 30. I'M like this is fine, because really i just need something to put the wig on so i can like pluck the knots and stuff and like flat iron and stuff it'll, just make it a lot easier. So it's messing with my lighting, but so i got um just the styrofoam head. I got t pins to like stick the wig to the styrofoam head. I got bleach developer and something to apply it with. They didn't have gots to be good spray. My aunt got some. I think i seen her with the can. I don't know if she has any left but to be safe. I went ahead and got um wonderlace, bun spray and a razor to cut my lace, some wig glue, i seen ghost bomb. He said like that's the most popular or whatever, and i was looking at i'm like this is definitely ringing the bell for me, but he said it was thirty dollars. I don't know lace glue was that expensive and i'm like i'm, not gon na spend 30 dollars, and this is my first time and i like mess it up or something so i just want the cheapest that they had um. This is by don't touch my hair and it was only thirteen dollars. So this is what i got is what i'm starting off with and then i got me some lashes, some lip gloss, so you know i got ta do my wig, i feel cute. So that's. That'S it um, i'm gon na go ahead and i'm gon na show y'all how i bleach the knots i'm going to do that right. Now i'm really nervous for that and then i'm gon na go ahead and pluck the wig and then i'm gon na come back and do our wig install. So let's go ahead and start with the bleaching okay. So i'm literally trying my best here to get you guys, a good angle, um welcome to my kitchen, don't mind all the like burnt marks and stuff on our counter, but um i had a hot cone on a stove next to me. So first i'm gon na go ahead and i'm gon na use the hot comb to kind of pull these flyaways back and i'm gon na just go ahead and put it in a ponytail for now just to try to keep the hair out the way as much As possible, i'm honestly so scared to use this hot comb. It'S like it's like freaking, a million degrees. Can you see the smoke? Probably not, and i'm scared i'm gon na burn myself. Let'S not wish for the burst right now, and it was at this moment. I knew i up speaking of a film - oh, my god, we're not touching the hot comb, no more! No, i'm bound to make this work. I just want to know why why me lord, like i've, never seen nobody fail this bad, i'm not gon na cry about it, i'm not i'm really, not! It got burnt right to where i would be cutting the lace it got burnt right to where i'll be cutting the lace. I'M not gon na um, i'm not gon na kill myself about it. It look like it burnt some of the hair, oh just comb, the hair back don't use a hot coat like. Why did that not like? Why did the hot comb just burn? My wig that bad, i think i maybe it's too hot. Maybe it was too hot. I literally said look at the smoke and then continue to put it on the hair, so i'm gon na just flip the wig inside out, so i'm gon na put the wig to the side and i'm gon na show how i do my developer. Okay, so usually like, i see a lot of people, they have like this big container of bw2 and they um have a scooper and they'll use scoops, but i just got this packet and i'm really, i really don't know what to do with the packet like do. I put all of it in there. Honestly, i don't know so i don't know what color this is. I don't know if it's white or blue okay, it's white, so i don't know how many scoops this is worth i'ma pour about. I don't know a good amount in there. Also i showed y'all. I have 40 volume developer, i'm gon na go ahead and pour this in here. Okay, that's like half the pack, that's good enough for me and then i'm gon na go in with my developer and just add a little at a time to get a toothpaste consistency. I am really making a mess here and i'm gon na leave it on for, like i'm gon na check like every i'm gon na, come back in 10 minutes and then, if it's not done, then i'm gon na check every five um i've seen some people do Like 20 and then i just seen another girl, she said like 10., so i really don't know just two, this they're bleached so just keep watching it. This is, i can tell already definitely not enough. It'S like crumbly and stuff just keep, mixing and add a little bit more um, i'm not feeling this smell. I don't know what i expected it to smell like but child. This is like the perfect consistency right now, like the literal, perfect consistency, that's a big way for that. Oh, oh, definitely wearing masks what the heck i literally got my face on my shirt right now looks like i'm gon na pass out. Okay, so i'm gon na just go ahead, not too much at a time. Lord, i'm scared for my life. Don'T press too hard! You don't want it to seep through the knots. Okay. Now my eyes is burning down. I can't win okay! Oh! I did something wrong. Why am i dying? I never seen nobody die while they do this. Okay hold on guys. Let me breathe, let me breathe okay and that's good enough and i'm gon na just go ahead and let this sit and i'll be right. Back. Okay, we're currently to my bathroom. I couldn't really like. I didn't really have time to like try to get my camera all set up and stuff. I didn't want to sit too long um and i hurried up and washed it out, because i didn't want to wait too long. I did go back and i just looked at the front side this side and made sure like the knots were covered and everything and seeing how they were processing, and i noticed that i missed some or some spots, weren't processed, like the other spots. So i went back and added some more so, as you can see, they definitely look better than before and they look like it kind of got like a brownish tint to it, especially if you look like in the inside, you can see that the knots are like Bleached i washed it this way, and so the bleach will push through the other side. I didn't want to wash it this way and the bleach goes through to the hair. I mean i was washing it out anyway, but i was trying to be as careful as possible, so i think i did pretty good for the knots you can always go back and bleach them a little longer if you want, but i think i did pretty good And i just rinsed the bleach out: i'm gon na go back shampoo and blow dry, the hair and everything because i haven't really washed it yet because i knew i was gon na wash it after. I bleached it. So i'm gon na go back shampoo it and wash it like. If i was washing my hair, it looks pretty decent, so i'm gon na go ahead and finish washing the wig and i'll be right back okay. So i'm back this is the hair wash and blow dry. This is actually the next day. I didn't get to finish this yesterday because i had a lot of errands to do, but i'm gon na go ahead and do this and start washing and taking out my hair, as you can see it's still in and then i'll do this wig install later. But i want to go ahead and get the plucking out the way before i wash my hair and stuff and as you can see, the knots look a lot better. You can see them a lot better on this mannequin head um. I think it looks better on the opposite side than this side and i think that's because i was so scared of this hole. I don't want bleach to come through and mess up the real hair, but this is that i definitely think it looked better on this side. I might go ahead and re-bleach it and leave it on for a few minutes, but i'm not sure. I definitely think it looks good and i don't want to like mess it up, so i'm gon na just see what it looks like after i pluck. I definitely do think i need to wash it again, though, because it still has a slight scent to it, and i don't know if, like i just didn't, watch it good enough or what but i'm gon na go ahead and get into the process. I highly recommend flat ironing the hair and getting it as flat as you can before you start plucking. As you all can see. I don't have very good experience with hot combs, but i do think that you should hot comb it and i can't do it. It'S hard to hot comb when you don't have like a surface like i guess i can put it on my head and try to call me, but i can't comment on this mannequin here, obviously because of styrofoam, but i'm gon na i'm gon na try to work With it, okay, so i'm gon na part it down the middle, and i always say that you should part down the middle before you pluck, because you don't want to pluck where your middle part is going to be at because you don't want to over. Pluck right. There, because it's already going to be you, know party, so i'm trying to like get somewhat of a part going on here. So so i got somewhat of a part going on. That'S all the way, i'm trying to comb the hair back and get it out the way i'm gon na get a um ponytail holder, so i can hold the hair as flat as possible. Okay, so i'm gon na go ahead and start on this side. I thought this would be a lot easier if i had an electric hot cone, because i can control the heat better and i'm not in the kitchen right now. So i don't really have nowhere to put this hot corn at, but i'm gon na try to make it work for now and i'm gon na go ahead and just comb the hair back and i'm a part like the first line of hair out. The way like we will not pluck this and i'm gon na just start back here in this section and the reason why you don't want to pluck that is because you don't want to plug too much in the front. The front is not even like the problem. It'S the back um that makes it look like real, thick and stuff, so you want to start in the back and it will work our way to the front okay. So i watched a lot of videos - and i always see like this - pluck a section skip a section method. So that's what i'm gon na try child i'm nervous. I'M gon na go ahead. I'M gon na pluck some. I don't even know if i'm click the section skip a section. Do it look like i'm doing something child, i don't know you want to kind of hold it like at an angle. Okay, there we go that looks that's better and make sure you comb it as you're going because, like the hair is obviously like shedding, and you want to comb all that um, that hair out so and then you want to kind of go behind this first area. A little bit and get like, like kind of to the back, not like right up here, i was just apple kind of back here. Child bear with me, so i don't know. Is it given what it's supposed to have gave? I don't know now: i'm gon na go ahead and pluck a little bit in the front, not as much as i did in the back okay. So this is what this side is looking like so far um. So let me know what y'all think this is this compared to this side. Obviously a lot thicker over here. So let me know what y'all think so far i'm going to go ahead and do the rest off camera and get an end result for you guys. So this is the wig plugs. It definitely looks more like it definitely looks better on camera. To me, like on, camera is definitely given what it's supposed to give, but i don't know how i feel about it um. What i am going to do, though, is i'm gon na go back and i'm gon na do the knots for like five more minutes and i'm gon na go ahead and wash the wig again to get the smell out and then i'll be back once it's. You know re-bleached, washed and blow-dried and when i come back, my hair is going to be taken out and braided down and we're going to start our install i'm back. The hair is washed blow dry and braided and i'm ready to go ahead and put this ball. Cap on and go ahead and do the ball cap method. I did go ahead and re-bleach the knots just a little bit. I don't know if it's much of a difference or anything at all. I don't know how i feel about the plucking but, like i said i rather under pluck than over pluck - and this is her right now, so i don't. I don't really know y'all. I don't really know, but i'm guaranteed to make this gift scout. So i'm gon na go ahead and do this ball cap method. I got everything i need down here. Finally, so first i'm going to take this came with the wig. This is a wig cap and i'm going to take this and i'm just going to put it over my head, it's my if it can fit in my braids, i'm just gon na, like lift them up, so they can like be gon na get everything flat as Possible y'all and pool as much okay. This huh is what i'm seeing people do. Let me um. Let me go ahead and cut my eyes out this. This hurt this is just so like you can pull the weird cap. Okay, let me show that um. I don't like this: i'm gon na end up cutting my eyes out. Okay hold on! Actually don't do this! You want to spray in front of your braids and pull your edges back as much as possible. I literally forgot to do that so go ahead and do that now. This is my spray and i'm gon na just go in i'm kind of mad at myself. Right now, i'm gon na go here. Oh, oh, okay! Uh! I don't got. I lost my edge brush out, so this is just this is just that at the moment. So now i'm gon na go ahead and put this over my face. Oh there we go. I look like an idiot, but it's okay, i'm gon na go ahead and i'm gon na apply spray to the hairline. I don't dang. Can i just get one eyeball out there you go? Oh did it get them all? No, okay, good. That was too much when i sit. I'M gon na go ahead and cut the ears out. I can't see ya so i'm gon na go ahead and cut my ear and just pull my ear through slowly and carefully. There you go, i'm trying to add more spray right there, so it can um stick down because it's not really sticking down by my ears: okay, just a nice small cut and then just slowly slip your ear through, like it's going to stretch. So you don't need to make no big cuts. You almost take this spray and i'll spray about the ear. Again now i will go in with my scissors and i don't know where to start, i'm scared, uh and i would just cut. Let me start right here. I think i'm literally taking skin right now. I didn't know just um start from down here, so i can see and breathe child okay. There we go okay, so this is the wig cap on cut and it look pretty decent right now. So now i'm gon na go ahead and add foundation and everything i got this powder. It matched my skin really good. So i'm gon na go ahead and try that out. First, i think it makes more sense to use um foundation, but i can always go back over if i don't like the look of it, so i'm gon na just see what this looks like see. It'S just this gives is just giving like my skin color, though like so i'm going in with some powder, you can go in foundation. Anything like i guess it's like a preference thing. I'Ve seen people do both. I'M kind of scared that this ain't, a good idea and i should use the foundation - i don't even own foundation. I brought my mom's foundation just in case so, but i'm gon na try a bit of foundation and see what that's hitting for i'm actually really scared. I don't know if you can even see the foundation. Look like it's blending in better than the powder, but then at the same time it's not chill. I don't know i ain't trying to mess it up, though i'm gon na go back in with my spray to just like conceal it on there and then i'm gon na go ahead and clean up my edges before i add my lace glue, so i'm taking my Alcohol and i got a cotton pad and okay and i'm gon na go ahead and just clean up the um area, where i'm gon na add my glue. So i can, you know, stick and have a nice clean surface to work with so just going right in front of the wig cap. I'M also going to go ahead and take that powder and i'm going to do the same to the inside of my wig. Okay. So i set my weight to the side and i'm like i sprayed some spray on the inside and i'm just letting that dry and i'm gon na go in with my lace glue and i'm gon na go ahead and add two layers and i'm letting it dry Clear in between each layer, so, okay, okay, it came out so i'm just gon na go to the end of my broadcast and just add some dots. A few dots um man come out. Okay, what the it's like come out to my inconvenience child hold on, and that's why i feel like i'm just failing time at the time at the time like and just using the end of my comb to smooth it out. You want like, on the you, want it on the wig cap and on your skin, and then you want to let it dry clear in between so as you can see, some places have dried more than other places. Uh that's come from not having as even of a layer as i thought i had, but as you can see, i also went ahead and put my wig on halfway. So when the glue goes ahead and finished drying, i can just pull the lace over. So it's just sitting on my head right now: okay, so i'm gon na go ahead and pull it over to about where i want it. Oh yeah, i'm nervous the ear tabs is driving me crazy, so about here and i'm gon na take my comb and just push it into the glue it's hard to comb over here because of that hole. Now i'm gon na go ahead and take this band and i'm gon na just tie it around my head and i'm gon na just let it sit for a little bit, so the lace can melt into the glue. The glue came out into the lace whatever. So i went ahead um i already took my scarf off, but i was waiting for like 30 minutes. I don't know, maybe more maybe less and before i tied it up, i could have did the ear tabs, i'm really nervous about them, but it's not a lot to cut off. As you can see, i'm gon na just go ahead and just i just do it. I didn't uh: okay, not bad, not bad! Now i'm gon na go ahead and do the other side. Okay and now i'm gon na go ahead and take my razor for a more jagged effect. I got me a razor and i'm gon na do that to cut this part of the lace cut up my lace. If it, let me cut up my lace, so i can go from there and just take this and try to keep it close to the skin. Without like cutting yourself, it's kind of hard to see on camera, i should have put a mirror in front of me that would have been smart. That was the plan and i completely forgot. Okay, all right, i have no clue what this is about right here is that the cap, or no take this off okay, so far, so good, y'all, okay, okay, this one have to go in like this dang. Okay, this one's this side is actually a lot easier. This time, for some reason to avoid losing the eyebrow i'm gon na go in with scissors on this part. I kinda don't know how to feel about this. I'M definitely poking myself in the skin. Okay, see the scissors definitely gave me a more straight look, and i don't like that on this side, you case you, hate is really giving scalp like you, can kind of see it a little bit. Of course, i'm gon na take my spray and i'm gon na go ahead and i'm gon na just spray it across my edges and tie it up again. Okay, that was a lot better that time: okay y'all for the wig, this is it laid. This is not the final product. This is just after i spray some more spray on and tied it down a little longer. Now i'm gon na go back over it. I'M gon na um, i'm a hot comment. Yeah we're gon na give this another. Try ain't gon na, let it be as hot and i'm got it on my head. So it's a lot easier. I'M gon na go ahead and hot comb and i'm trying to do a middle part and i'm gon na go ahead and hot comb it and then we're gon na come back and do the edges. So i'm gon na go ahead and do that off camera. The fact that i bought more storage and i'm still running out of storage just killing me because i'll just have five gigabytes, and now i'm already at 50 - and i haven't even did anything like - i literally got less apps and less videos y'all trying to run me On my money anyway, i went ahead and hot combed and flat ironed my hair a little bit. It'S still not like really straight, but i'm gon na go ahead and do my edges and lay them down. If i can do it on camera, if they don't boot me off this video, so what i'm gon na do is go ahead and section the hair off and i'm gon na take my razor child, i'm fighting for my life right now. I'M scared! You know i don't want it that far up there. How do i want my edges? That'S the question. The question is: how do i just um kind of like down like right here, so i'm like section his hair off? It is like driving me crazy right now and i'm scared the video will cut off so and i'm gon na take the razor okay and i'm just not taking my eyebrow, okay, okay, okay, so i'm gon na take some spray spray, this these hairs down. Okay, now i'm gon na take my edge brush and item voice. Okay. That was actually like really easy for no reason, so i'm gon na go ahead and do the other side off camera and then i'm gon na just show you all the end result. Okay. So this is me after edges. I don't want to say the finished look, because i can definitely go back over with the hot comb and stuff, but i'm gon na leave it like this. For now it's like three o'clock in the morning, so i'm gon na go to bed anyway. I'Ve been doing this all day, but i'm actually happy with the end result. It could have went a lot worse than it did and i'm really proud of myself, especially for my first time and i think with some more practice. I can like really get this down. So tell me what you guys.
