Turning A $10 Party Wig To A $100 Wig!

Hello: everyone today, I'm going to be showing you all my tips and tricks to revive some party wigs. Today I went to Target and I bought this ten dollar one size fits most adult flabber Wing yeah. She looks hyped about it, um, let's put it on and see what we're working with wow um, usually the wings that that I find um either say: lace front or you know, heat resistance, human hair um. This doesn't say anything, but it does say spot clean with a damp cloth, do not use heating tools to style brush with fingers and use non-heated rollers in alcohol-free Hairspray. So here we have here we have a beautiful flower wig. I want to say this is okay. There'S supposed to be a part: where is the side part? Is this the side part? No, no, there's no way. Okay, let's put it on and maybe I'll figure it out. Then first things first got ta put our hair in a wig cap. Okay - let's put this on my guess, my guess is viscose this way, oh, like George, Washington, what is happening? What is happening? Does this go this way? No, no! Okay! So now we know this is where we're starting. What is going on here? Why would this be curled that way? Oh, my God. Okay, I'm sorry! I have to put this on a mannequin and then I mean then we could actually be something here, but take a good luck before so actually before we set this up on the mannequin head. I do want to do something that needs to happen. Okay, so usually I would use an eye shadow um. So if y'all have any eyeshadows that match your hair - or you know it's just a darker color than the wig itself, this will make it look a little bit more natural, because no one's hair is one solid. Color, like it's just that's just not it we're gon na try this out. If I don't like it, then I'll grab some eye shadow and a brush and we're just gon na brush on the inside. So what we got to do is we're going to turn this wig inside out uh. Let'S see what we got here, I am a little nervous um that it might be too dark. So we'll see! Oh okay, it doesn't look something. Oh my God. Look at that! Okay, not bad, not bad. We can work with that. I'M going to hit the roots right here. I don't know if y'all have ever seen, Ruth's phrase these are um usually sold for people who have graying, hair or gray or white hair growing in to use in between dying your roots. So if you all see those they work pretty good and they're a lot quicker than using makeup. Oh God, I hate it so much. I can see the like weaved mesh everywhere. Is this truly the front? Am I supposed to make my own part, because I will of course, okay, I'm just gon na brush this out a little bit. I am thinking this will be the part right here. It'S very nice that these already have some curls in there. However, we're going to go over the curls, I am going to hit the roots in the part with this one more time we're gon na go through. I also bought this at Target because I didn't own these. Already, surprisingly, I can see what they were going for on here um. This is what some would call do you see how the hair, just kind of like all all, goes together in these waves. This was very 1920s um today I don't know what they call them. Then, but today we call them Hollywood waves. Have you heard of these Hollywood? Waves means all of the curls are going in the same direction? Okay, I just put a section over here. Oh there we go. Okay, we're gon na use green ones. Now this is doing any roller sets. What I've learned in school is. You do not want the section to be wider, then your roller you're, going from the ends up for just perfect beautiful, oh, oh! Does that just stay there on its own gorgeous beautiful love it? If their wig is super Tangled honestly, you might need to brush as you go this one. Isn'T that bad, though okay first row of curls perfect, so we're just going through every section of hair synthetic hair? And it's not your hair is plastic she's, looking good, I'm afraid I'm gon na run out, though so we're using the biggest ones on the side which is going to make it. You know have a little looser curls, but hopefully we'll be able to brush it back and it will lay perfectly but we'll see foreign. So wherever your part is you want the hair to go down right in one way and up in the other, so you're not just doing a full bands. I'Ve seen this a million times, I'm sure you do have it as well. We do have a steamer. I bought this a long time ago. I swear to you. I looked up the instructions and everything and um it's not working. I there was a little something got ta improvise them. I guess you don't have a steamer. Like me, here's the other thing you could do. You need a grocery store bag, spray, bottle of water and a couple of dryer so we're just gon na spray. It with water, place the bag over the wig, so we're basically making a little air pocket anyways. So try a new close up the bottom as much as you can and we're going to stick the blow dryer right in there and just go for it. Go for it until it's dry. Oh yeah, wow, that's yeah! That'S working! Oh! I forgot the receipt in there. Okay, it's like a little wet still so and then, when it's dry, you can take the bag off. This is a subtle way set the hair, we're gon na use got to include hairspray. This will make it a little crunchy, but you want to let it dry and use a really light brush Strokes when you're done so a little bit of Hairspray. Now we can go ahead and take the curls out hope that they did something. You know: okay, okay, this is good. This is good. I hope this continues. We just want all the curls to really just be going the same direction. My arms hurt a little bit, not gon na lie. That is okay. We can work with this foreign. She kind of cute, so this has got to be ever so gentle, but now we just want to go in and perfect, lay down all the curls that you want to lay down cover the pieces you want to cover. We need to loosen these a little bit honestly. Maybe just fingers using your fingers might be it, but it's definitely working a little bit better. For me, right now take a comb and usually at the crown you do a little back combing. That means you put your brush in halfway and you comb it towards the scalp. Like you, you know where your scalp would be so that just add a little bit there kind of fluff it. Oh that definitely helps cover a bit right there. Yes, we're making our rounds. I guess we are loosen some of these. That'S looking good. Let'S go I'm going to be using one of these sectioning clips and manipulating the hair with my hands. Yeah. Honestly, I really just need one. I really want to focus on the front of the hair over here, because I like that this kind of Curves back - I just want this to do that too. We wanted to do this little curve. Can you see that we wanted to do this curve right here? So I'm going to set it with some more Hairspray, we definitely went somewhere. Should we try it on yeah? I think we need to try it on and what do we think honestly? I think it is so cute. It'S so cute. Logan himself said it just looked like I had a lot of hairspray in my hair, not bad for what ten dollars come on. I feel like Marilyn Justice for Marilyn. You know when I first took this way out of the bag. Let me tell you, I was quite nervous. I did not think I could pull this off even even throughout this video I was given good Poker Face. I was like this is not gon na work, but I did looks amazing. The only thing I could have done differently is that I could have gone in and thinned it out by tweezing some of the thicker hair in there, but because of how it was sewn in tweezing would not have done much. Tweezing is mainly for lace, fronts, um or those the fake, fake skin Parts. If you know, if you've ever seen, those um this wig really, I could have only gone in with like scissors and I'm not gon na be touchy, because you could make a way to look a lot bigger than it is, and we already want it to look Smaller than it is so what's down below Target just so you know also I mean I got these at Target. I got the hairspray at Target, it's not bad! If anything, if you think it looks a little shiny for you, put some dry shampoo in there and you're good to go, it also smells good.
