I just got out the shower and I washed my hair. This is what it looks like. I was super lazy and did not detangle my hair in the shower, so it definitely is going to take a little bit longer to get through it, but in the shower I like to use two different shampoos, so I like to go in with this one. This is a dandruff shampoo, just because my scalp does get itchy, sometimes so first wash I did this one and then I just go in with a regular shampoo. This is the one that I've been using lately. This is a sulfate free, paraben, silicone all that stuff and in the shower, if you don't have one of these, you need to get one. This is a silicone shampoo brush. You are not supposed to scrub your scalp with your nails. I have a really bad habit of doing that, you're supposed to use the pads of your fingertips, but this feels so much better and it literally feels like you're, giving your scalp a massage and it just really digs in there it's silicone. So it's not like hard on your scalp, but the bristles kind of like move and honestly sometimes at night I'll put oil and just give myself a scalp massage the sink feels so great. I think it was like five dollars on Amazon and then lastly, in the shower, I always go in with a hair mask. I don't buy regular conditioner, I just get hair mask. These are the two that I've been using lately, so this one's from shea moisture, Manuka honey and then this bottom one is myel and this one has biotin. So today I use the myel one, let's get into it and I guess I'll just talk. Oh my gosh yeah, my hair um. Normally I wash it twice a week, but I don't remember the last time I washed it. I think it's been a week, so I'm just gon na talk curly hair. While I do my hair, so let me section It Off. Oh normally, I definitely detangle in the shower, but I was just feeling really lazy and did not want to do that or even sometimes I try to detangle before shampooing, because that just it makes it more Tangled when your hair is like matted and then you're going In with the brush, so sometimes I'll do that before water, because my hair's gotten a little bit dry, so I kind of switch up the products I use every single time. I have a couple of like holy grail staple products, but when I did the last wash day, I'm just gon na repeat so uh all the products are from Miss erasers like not roll. My R's resos curls, and I I love it. They are expensive, but they're good products. It'S Latina owns I'm always happy to support black or Latina owned businesses. I like to use the deep conditioner just as like a regular cream. They do have a curl cream, but I just like this one better and then I also recently started using this to tangle spray. Now is the tangle spray, the same thing as this just in a spray form, probably you don't have to get both, but I do and then I put a little little tiny bit. Is my camera even focusing I put a little bit. Oh wait. It is focusing okay, I just can't see so then I put in a little bit of their light hold gel. This has aloe flaxseed and dime time. So let me just go ahead and my hair is still dry. I feel, like I haven't done a hair video for YouTube in so long, which is where my channel originally started was hair videos. Okay, my hair is so tangled. Normally I section it into fourths, but I'm gon na split this in half just because it needs a little bit more. I'M almost out sorry and also sorry. If I keep looking to the side, I don't have a mirror in front of me. My mirror is back there, so if I'm looking to the side, I'm looking into the camera viewfinder, so I can see what I'm doing, because it's weird not to have a mirror while you're doing your hair. Oh no! This is out there. It goes so, I think the last Hair video I made was a couple months ago, and I was talking about the hair dye bleaching incident that I kind of impulsively did um. If you didn't see that video, I will leave it in the cards, but my hair has been doing great. Since then. There still are the front short pieces which I'll show you guys once I get to that section. But overall my hair is fine. The only thing is that the um, the two front, strips that I bleached and long story short and it came out terrible. So I dyed it all black, but of course that Fades over time. The blonde is kind of starting to peek through um. But I don't really want to do anything with my hair, so I think I'm just gon na let it be and kind of let the black hair dye just fade out and just let it if it turns blonde turns brown. Whatever happens, because I kind of just want to give my hair a break for a while, my hair was so um like porous with all the hair dye that I think it was literally like three months to where every time my hair would get wet. Or I would wash it it was bleeding hair dye, so I knew I needed to give my hair a break, which is basically what I'm doing now and just focusing on its health. Okay, hold on I'm gon na, put it a towel under because the whole floor is getting wet, and I literally just mopped like yesterday wash day, oh see, look, and I had also just bought these really good. The threshold Target. Towels - and I don't know if you guys can see it, but lots of my towels are just stains like a reddish purplish color from the hair dye, and so I was honestly just over it just over it and want to give my hair a break. Thank you, and once the tangles come out it just like Glides like butter, but there's so many goals. Oh and the brush that I use is tangle, teaser ultimate detangler. This has been my go-to brush for like two years. It just really works well with my hair and it doesn't have any of those um like balls. This is so nasty sorry, it doesn't have any of the balls on the ends of the bristle, so it just Glides like butter foreign section done. Also, when I do my hair, I just wear a t-shirt that I know is going to get completely destroyed and after I'm done, I go change shirts because I just know that this shirt is going to be sopping wet by the time. I'M finished one thing that I've been wanting to do for so long is straighten my hair in the past seven years, seven years. I'Ve only straightened it once so. The last time I did it was December of 2020 and my cousin. She did it all for me. So she blow dried it straightened. It did all that and I liked it, for. I think I lasted for maybe like five days before I washed it, but I kind of just want to do something different, because I never do anything with my hair other than wash and goes or braid outs twist outs, but I've never had box braids. I don't straighten it, I don't like curl it with a curling wand, so I kind of just want to do something, but it's hard, because when you work out and run in my mind, I'm just like. What'S the point of spending all that time and hard work to straighten it when it's instantly going to curl up as soon as I work out, so just my thought process. Oh, this is gon na take a while, even after cutting my hair. So when I had that terrible like incident, I trimmed the ends because the ends were like screaming for help it's so so. This is my belly button right here, and this is where my hair is so still decently. Long, okay, I'm gon na put on some music and fast forward. So basically, I do the same thing in every section and then once I get to the end I'll show you guys what I do after so every section I just wet it put some of the spray on put some of the deep conditioner that I use as A leave-in go in with my brush and then I also like to just kind of finger detangle just to fill it out a little bit and separate so doing the same thing with all of my hair, and this is tedious. But it's so important to make sure that your hair is all nice and detangled, especially when you're only washing it once or twice a week, so I will put on some music and fast forward once I get to the end, I forgot what I was listening to. I was listening to Bad Bunny. Of course, foreign foreign foreign I've only been recording for 24 minutes, so it didn't take that long. I'M I'll show you guys. After what everything looks like, but wash days are so messy. There'S hair everywhere, there's product that flew on the door on the floor. My entire shirt is wet and yeah wash day is a mess, but I'm gon na clean up after last section. Oh I'll show you so actually they grew okay. So these are the pieces. I thought there was a shorter piece: they did grow these pieces in the front I cut and I kind of cut like down diagonal, because when I bleached and had that manic dye episode, they wouldn't curl and they kind of still. If you guys see, they need like help curling so yeah. This is your sign to not manically bleach, your hair, but other than that, my hair, fine, curly, hair ASMR. I don't know why I keep yawning it's like one or 130. I don't know what time it is. Okay and I did put a lot of product, but my hair soaks it up and also at the end I'll kind of squeeze some of it out. So here my hair's, my hair, all nice and detangled, it's moisturized. It feels good I kind of did put a lot of product, but I'm gon na get some of it out in a second. So after I like to go in with the wide tooth comb just to separate it, because the curls come out very like chunky. If that makes sense from the brush - and I like them to be more like voluminous, so I just go in with my wide tooth comb to kind of separate, and sometimes I also use my hands, but the comb just really like gets in there to separate out. I did put a lot of products, so I'm not gon na put too much gel. This is just a kind of hold it. So there's just like a little bit. This is not my favorite gel. I really like the Camille Rose, okay and we'll swallow the hair anyways, so I just like to pair it because it pairs. Well, obviously, it's the same brand, but I really do like oh Uncle funky's daughter, the curl magic gel that one and then the Camille Rose natural, but this one is a great gel too. It'S super light. It'S a light, hold ER. Oh I almost like threw up. I hate that feeling like a pear going in your mouth, a little scrunchie raunchy and oh, I like to go in with a bristle brush and just gently brush down the edges. Sometimes I do edges, but right now, because I I put a little bit too much product. I don't really feel like doing it right at this moment um. But what I like to use is this is the my L that same Rosemary mint line, and this is just an edge brush, but I have a lot of stuff in my hair right now, so I'm actually not going to put that in and normally I also Put in that same mile, I like to put the oil in, but I think I'm going to do this later tonight, so last step, I'm gon na go, get a towel and kind of just scrunch out some of the excess water and product s. Another t-shirt that I don't care about: foreign, more hair, so I'll leave this towel on, maybe for like 10 minutes, while I clean up and stuff and then after that, I just let my hair air dry for a couple of hours um. When I come back once my hair is mostly dry I'll show you guys how I stretch out my curls. This is totally just a preference, but for me, on the first day after I wash my hair, I have a lot of shrinkage and I just like my hair to still be defined and curly, but a little more elongated. So I will come back and show you guys a quick, easy heatless. I don't use heat way to stretch out my curls and also I'm gon na make a quick tick tock of the mess that is wash day and I'll show you guys, but you can see my shirt is like soaking, wet and there's product all over there's Gunk Under my nails, the reality of the wash day I'll be back. Thank you, okay, so I decided that I do want to put on some eggshell, so it's only been like five minutes. I cleaned up all the mess changed out of that wet t-shirt and I'm just going to take a little bit of the Jew on the brush, and I don't do anything like crazy. I just like to do a little swoopy swoop. This is so hard to do without a mirror, but I'm working with the viewfinder. I even do a little bit like right here all right. Let me check in the mirror really quickly and then I have this towel headband, the ones that they're like. Why do influencers? Always have these headbands not saying I'm an influencer, but this one I bought myself like years ago from Ulta. This one was sent to me by verse. I don't know they're, just I just like them, and this one's like a towel texture. So in my hair is drying, I'm gon na flip, it I'll put it on for a couple of hours. I think I got this from Ulta a couple of years ago. Oh, I love it. Okay, now I'll be back once my hair is dry. It'S been about two hours, and this is what my hair looks like it's. Oh it's mostly dry, but if you guys can tell it is a little bit shrunk. So I like to stretch My Curls out a little bit and there's different ways. You can do this, but the way that I like doing it is, I just take off my hair back and I twist it and then clip it, and this just kind of elongates and stretches My Curls out and the key to this is that you don't want To leave it like this, too long or else it will like pull all of the curls out. So I just have it clipped up like this and I'll probably leave it for like an hour, maybe hour and a half, and then my hair will be more stretched out and throughout the week it gets frizzier. It gets more volume gets bigger, but for day one. I usually do like to stretch it because I like the look of having more elongated curls that are all scrunched up, so I am going to dinner tonight. Actually so I'll come back once my hair is done and I'm ready and show you guys what the the final result looks like. I took a nap earlier, but this is what my hair is looking like. It is a little bit frizzy, but I don't mind it at all. I think I'm just gon na take a little bit of oil and just run it through my hair just to kind of get some of the frizz down. But it's super soft and I love that product combination because it's not crunchy the gel is a very light hold, so it leaves your hair like super super defined, but also just soft and Airy. So let me go. I'M gon na get a little bit of this Jamaican black, castor oil. This stuff is thick like thick thick, so I do not use a lot. I'M just gon na put a little bit just like a little bit and just kind of blend it through. Maybe a little bit more on the side. This is the short a little short piece. Also I don't know if you guys, can you tell like the edges are getting like blondish the brownish is coming back um. These are the sections that I bleached so especially like this piece right here, I'm just gon na, let it be for now, but yeah that was my wash day and throughout the week I'll touch up as needed like. If I work out, I might do a co-wash halfway through or if my hair is just really dry, I'll, dampen it and add more product in I kind of just play it by ear, but that is the wash day and, as the week goes on, my hair Will progressively get bigger, frizzier and more elongated and I'll catch you guys in the next one
