Hey guys, I'm Ruby today we're going to be doing a lace, frontal Reagan Style by private label extensions. Here we go right now we're going to turn the weed right. Now, it's a yellow kind of baseball, so I'm just going to turn it with a violet base. Color so to um, give it uh. My motto today is keita. She hates looking like this, but I'm gon na get it right in a few seconds, she's, usually very talkative. I don't know what's wrong now, but yeah. This is my first time actually doing a like. Being recorded yeah, I'm a little shy, but it's okay, so yeah. What I'm doing right now is just taking it and getting some of it rather out um, because it's like real, like a Russian brown color, give me more of a platinum look. I also used um a little bit of platinum from a door and a little bit of periwinkle foreign the whole process. This is like the most hardest part, but once we get louder I'll be able to describing you guys to see more of what I'm doing right now, I'm just watercoloring the basic watercolor foreign foreign. Thank you and right after I rinse this out. What we're going to do is we're going to do a quick plucking and then we're going to get started on prepping for putting on your recap. How far I should go, you know place them in all that type of stuff. So what I'm going to do is now I'm going to rinse this out. Thank you tell me some things about you. If you wanted to, I don't know, what did you want to say you don't have nothing, you want to say: okay um, this is our British results. Like I said we just wanted to get that yellow out and give it more of an ash blind time. I'M sorry and then right now we're going to prepare for our plucking. Now, once you're cooking, we always put behind the hairline, and it makes it a lot easier when you pull it behind the headline, because you don't want to put too much, especially with a blind with blonde hair. Blonde hair is already tends to be a little bit. Thinner than traditional, you are brown and blacks and things of that nature, so you don't have to pull up too much on a blind frontal like that, because you can't click a bottle um. Let me drive a little bit, so you guys can see. I always like the plant when it's wet, so so. Okay did you want a table to plug here um I could use a table. I mean either way. I can it's okay, but this is our finished product. Like I said, we got into a more of an ash blonde, so now it's time for our printing process and I just go as you guys can see behind the hairline and as far as your tweezers go, I use a tweezers, that's kind of a little bit Deeper on the end, because it's a lot more better, but you can experiment with different tweezers to see which is better for you when it comes to doing like you kind of everybody has their own technique of it. So you kind of have to do what works for you, so you're going to play around with a couple of different laces before you kind of get comfortable with your own way of doing it, because everybody has so many different ways of applying lace but yeah. Right now we're just going through the parking process um. I am a pie, Mutual slash, Aveda alumni, so I had the blessing of attending both um. I will say I learned a lot about coloring the things of that nature at Paul Mitchell, which kind of like taught me a lot most definitely question for the uh, for you, um Sammy, says hey, so I missed the first few minutes, I'm assuming he's toning, the Wig with purple shampoo, so can you share with them what you're telling them? I actually told them to read with a failure. Timing, um conditioner and I mix it with a little bit of water and just a few drops of platinum, not a lot, because it's already too much of it container weed lavender. It'S like you really didn't want a purple. We just still want it blind, but yeah. It'S real simple, um, whatever really whatever, whatever timers you want to use, but this is what I use um. I brought this periodic a lot with me too, because sometimes I use that too, that I actually didn't need it foreign because, like I said, blonde hair is already thinner in the front, so you don't want to put too much if anything. Once you remove this installed, you can go back and do a little bit more clicking if you have to, but I would rather have not enough click and do too much, because once you get it you're really applied, you can go back and see like what it Is you know you need to do as far as like your ins and outs and cleaning it up and things of that nature, and once again, I'm just going back through it behind the hairline foreign would love to see some of you guys and we are about Almost complete with this little part, they will go to the faster now, as you can see, it's a little bit bulky right up in there. There'S all the hairs, that's about to come out for me plucking. So what we're going to do now is we're going to put it on our little dryer and we're going to let this dry for a few minutes. It shouldn't take long and as we let this dry we're going to apply our cap and talk about some place to it. So I'm gon na place the wig on here we're gon na let this dry for a few minutes. So we can go ahead and get her applied. Excuse me, ma'am uh. What do I need? Do you have a towel foreign placement and all that great stuff? Now, when you apply your lace cap when a plant lays pure lace is always going to be made to stick onto your skin, not not your hairline, so you always apply to the lace outside of your hairline. Now she just recently just took off a week. So what we're going to do is we're going to clean her up with a little alcohol and then we're gon na place. Our capital - oh she's, tight, I'm gon na stretch out cap out a little bit because she's gon na say that I'm trying to cure her and smuggle her with the tightness of the cap on different products today. Well, not a lot, but I think I'm going to use our heat protectant spray and a little glow shot. It doesn't take much um with molding when it comes to baby hairs. We'Re going to talk about all of this stuff, baby hairs and things of that nature. Like I said when it comes to laying lace, you always are going to want to basically get your own feel for it. Some people use foam. When it comes to layering baby hairs, some people use they got to be gel. Some people use um holding sprays. You know different things to use, do their baby hairs with, but we're going to get into that part later. I'M kind of scared because they might need you we're just waiting for Dallas to come back with our towel, so we can clean her head um. These are some different lace, tint sprays that they offer. We have our right, bro light warm Brown, medium brown and our dark brown. I think I'm stuck in between our light brown and light warm Brown, so I'm gon na hold on to these two we're also going to use our pineapple wax. Stick: our private label lace paste and our wig not healer. This is really really good for blonde hair, because a lot of people still don't think about like the knots on blonde hair. Some people want to give it still that natural tone, so when you're, this is really really good. You just rub it on the inside of the weed I'm gon na show you guys how to do it working as well, but it actually makes your wig, especially with colors and Blondes, and things of that nature. It'S actually good for that, because it still gives your hair a natural looking effect like it's coming out of your scalp. Where is he at with this? So you guys feel free. If you have any questions to feel free to ask me any I don't mind answering I don't bite, I would actually love to answer questions. This is my first time shooting, so I kind of had a little bit of anxiety and was nervous, but I'm actually like excited about it. Now this is our divine oil extra. This is good too. It'S good for cleaning right before you lay your um right before you apply your life, it's good to use to for cleansing your scalp, so I want to be oily and things of that nature, because the more oil you have on your skin, it's harder for the Lace to stick, if you sweat a lot, they have different kind of adhesives and things of that nature. That'S good! But if you sweat a lot and you have really on the skin, lace is really not like for you. A lot of people don't really like it's real tricky dealing with lace, because you're getting some clients and you'll lose some cries, because sometimes you have to just tear your class like the truth about, and just be completely honest because hey this is not gon na work Out you know you sweat a lot. I don't want you to sit up here and get you know this installed, and then you telling me that you know hey. You know I swear a lot. My lace is not sticking to my scalp. You know it's not for everybody, so you know things um we're gon na get into that more, like I said, I'm just waiting for our towel now, so I can clean her um front. Okay. Thank you, sir. Our lead will be right back in just a moment, and I just put a little alcohol out here. What we're going to do now is we're just going to clean this Gap off from the previous week. She just had foreign alcohol and then just going through just wiping real, quick okay is it me or the mine? No okay, because that's gon na say. Let me know if I have a position the right way. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you, tasty how's that sound. Do it again: testing testing testing, okay, my friend came all the way and woke up out her bed just to be my special model for today you guys, so I really appreciate that. I really really appreciate that now. What am I looking for? Give me one? Second, you guys and I'm gon na get right back and with you so right now we're just going to spray this excess back with a little bit of got to be spray. No, no, not that one. I actually don't want to use the got to be sprayed. I really want to use. Let me see once again you guys feel free to ask me any questions that you see uh we're getting the wig um ready now, so she should be installed. She should be in here and ready to be installed soon, so we're going to talk about cat placement. Now this cap is a tad bit tight, but once we cut it, it'll be okay friend, don't care, but I know it might be a little tight on you. I'M gon na see a kid Cap, all right, a baby's cat and what I'm doing now is just her cap placement now right now. What we're going to do is we're going to melt this cap. This is very important with applying your lace. You want to make sure you have this on and it's very melted and Blended, very, very well. That gives you the effect of a ball head. Basically, so once you apply your wig, it gives it a very natural look, you get my drift. So what we're going to do is I like to use this? They do have this in your local Beauty, Supply Store the Wonder, lace, bun! It'S really really good and we're just going to spray a little bit on the sides. I know I'm sorry for you. It tends to be a little cool and you should definitely most definitely want your clients that you're about to spread because they will jump like she just did. You need to blow dry yourself, it's okay! Let me find out she'd be look she'd, be slick trying to um. I do I watch him work. She said, try to see what I do y'all see. No. Why would you want to do that? But that's a lot for every three days with me because I'm one of the ones that's what a lot, but unfortunately, my week's gon na come on yeah. They don't and it's so crazy because she does the way. But she doesn't really sweat like that because, like I don't really like have any problems when she comes back and gets like touch-ups like I'm looking like what are we touching up right now, the wig is on she's like no, it's all the way back here and I'M like no, it's not it's like. It hasn't even moved so right now. What we're doing is we're just letting this cap dry. What'S um this dries. The cap will be melted in more and then we're gon na do our blending of the cap to give it our bowel look, we have a private label extension wrap. This is what I'm going to use to also melt the lace as well. Now this is good to put around the thing to help melt your lace, I mean to help melt your cap as well, not just lace, but just your cap as well. Let me know that's too tight and we are just going to let this sit for just a few minutes once again, if you guys have any questions, please feel free to ask. I don't mind um some of our products that we are using are our private label like Edge brush? This is really really good when applying your baby hairs and things of that nature. Now with baby hairs, it just depends on the client. You know and the look that you're going for um as I get more and more into it. You learn something new every day when in this business, so I think today what we're going to go for is just the more it's New Years. You know we're not going we're not doing too much we're gon na do a bless down in the middle. You know a nice cute soft baby hairs. You can't go wrong with that. She'S already blown you know. Sometimes less is more. You don't have to do too much, so we're gon na keep it like that not too much not too much, but I am very excited to have this opportunity to and do this, for you guys and show you guys she's a little bit more nervous than I Was I thought I was gon na be nervous, but she was a little bit nervous. I mean I was nervous, but she was a little bit more nervous than I was because she was going to go, get eyelashes done a full face, which I understand that I can't even like be upset about that, but I'm telling y'all but yeah. This is also good for removing the oil extract, the Divine or extract sorry. This is also good for removing the lace tape glue. All of that stuff. It'S really really good, like I said our foam wrap. You have to get your field of using this foam wrap because some people are a little too heavy-handed with product and 10 to like, not know how to use it and overuse it. But this is really really good, too, with molding and laying down baby hairs and flyaways, and things of that nature really really good um. I just use this to um help it melts down my caps a little bit. I mean it melts down your lace a little bit more, and it also gives you a good flat install. This is a really really good high call now, like I said once this dries out or whatever we're going to cut it around and we're just gon na blend it in and we're gon na walk, get to work. I'M looking at these um wig, not here, let's to see which one I want to use and from the looks of it right here. She that Medium brownness calling my name um the traditional Brown. We can see how that works too as well. You know it's! Never! Nothing wrong with using new products now see we can put both of these up together and then we can see. I think I'm gon na go for the medium brown lt0203. Oh, these are some really really really good wigs. You guys also check them out private label. A really really good lace: the lace is very nice and thin, and it's not bulky. I think this is a 150 density just by the hair in it. I think it'll be a little bit more Fuller if it was 180, but I think these are 150 density. This is a body wave unit. I think this is a closure unit. Yes, this is a closure unit. They have also um now I think she's 180 density as well. Well, no, not as well but she's, 180 density, the other one was 150 density. She was 180., so by her being a person that does sweat what we're going to use instead of the lace paste we're going to use the lace paste extra just because we want a little bit firmer hole by her sweating. A lot we're also going to use our Glide, our glow shine spray and our armor heat protective spray, we're going to check on our cat and boom. She is dry. Thank you! So what you're going to do? Is you cut along her hairline, so how we do that foreign, the hairline kind of directly outside of it, feel for you guys to ask me any questions that you may have. I don't mind okay, so this was the problem. It wasn't too tight yeah. It was too stuck together, okay, so here we are right now cat placement. So what I like to do is, after I put the weed milk spray on there. I do like to go outside the hairline with the glue directly outside the hairline because, like I said, the lace has to stick on skin first. So what I do is, I just just put just a light touch just around the hairline right here, just to kind of melt. The cap, just a little more before we go to blending and contouring and all that type of stuff and, like I said, if you're, not a person who really does lace all the time, you have to get your feel for it because, like I said it's, so Many different ways and techniques that people have so you kind of you're going to work with a couple of different laces before you get really comfortable trust me, like I've, been doing this for a long time now I had to learn the hard way with some lace. You have to have also the type of lace you have is also good like stylist. Please, please, please stylish future stylist. All of that good stuff do not settle for inadequate lace um, it does affect your work um. Also, if it's not uh up to par, don't use it just save yourself some time and and your client and all of that, and they can save money because you don't want them coming back, saying that oh well, mine didn't look like this on the picture. Well, that's because she had HD lace, you know, and you brought yours from you know the beauty supply store. Don'T get me wrong supply stores, not you would have to consult with your stylist first before you go and just go peek out a frontal from the beauty supply store. Your Styles will have to see you just say: hey yeah. This is okay, because the beauty supply store does have some brands of lace that are actually not bad that I have used, but if inadequate lace, no really, if it's not transparent, HD, don't don't use it um, if you're not sure about something. Don'T don't tell anybody that you can do it or anything feel free to always ask for help or anything like that, because it's a big headache explaining to somebody about why they don't have the proper things that they're supposed to have for their hairstyle. So as we're waiting for this to dry, which is almost done, our week is dry foreign, how about you go over there and I'll give it to you. Thank you, sir. I appreciate you you're a real hair, stylist you're, still getting phone calls ringers off on this unset. Yes, there you go okay, so this is our wig. As you can see, it has been blow dried and toned. We'Re not going to put it on yet, but just so you guys can get a feel of what's going on and see how this beauty is going to come out. Looking someone said you're doing very great. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I'M trying like I said this is my first time really having the camera, like all on me like this, so just work with me: I'm opening it up. There was another question: yes along her forehead with it still, but I still need to use two caps and I think that was a confusion, because it was two caps that was on there. So she's asking does she need to use that or with one cat um? No, you actually use one. What happened was these caps are actually stuck together? They come too yeah, so yeah most cats. Do. What I'm saying is. I thought this was just one cap. It was stuck together literally like you would have thought that it was glued, but um yeah we're just waiting for this to dry to speed up the process. Oh you're gon na use that private label, I sure, am okay. I'M gon na use my private label dryer. Give me a second, so I can uh plug her up she's on sale right now for 99 on the website yeah and she does heat up baby, and actually it really disappears on your client when it comes up by her being bald like that um, it depends On your client, because some clients don't want a cap um, you know you have a lot of alopecia clients who say you know I don't have any hair anyways, I'm already together. You know ain't. No, neither you putting the cap on just go ahead and just apply. My lace, you know which it makes sense, because that's the look that we're going for about a bob look. So it doesn't really. You don't really have to use a cap. If you can yeah, I mean I'm gon na like make. Everyone feel comfortable. A lot of people you have to make people feel comfortable. A lot of people are very, very, very like self-conscious about their hair and I'm gon na take my phone. Please don't make some money, you do your live and you get off this live and make your life. So what I'm doing now is I'm just going through it with this electric hot car right now, just so I can see if how far or do I need to do some more extra plucking to our unit. This unit I mean this hot comb is really really good. Um, usually you know I'm kind of um yeah. I still have my Marcel stove and things of that nature. So I have the old school hot, calm too. But yes, here we go, I'm so excited to install her. This is a frontal weed frontal. Wigs are not full lace. Wigs they're, just the frontal in the front and like kind of like you might as well say like bundles in the back um also it does have just a little lace in the front for people who want to like pull it up, but most people who get Frontal wigs usually just want the whole. This is whatever this is. What'S in right now, just this front piece, most people want they're, not even worried about the bag. I'Ve had some clients, believe it or not. Who will tell you like hey, like don't snap me down in the back like just make my stuff in the butt? I don't want it down in the back. It'S too tight back there like it could like just hey just it's: okay, um. What we're going to do now is we're going to do our blending of her cap, so I'm going to test out a little something something right now give me a second and with your blending of your cap, all you're doing is trying to basically give her a Ball cap look, and I just take a little bit of you - know the closest concealer to her skin and what you're going to do is I'm going to rub that in just a little bit, and you just go put in that in now - you guys kind of Get the effect of what I was saying about the Bobcat method also, too, don't be afraid to mix up colors as well with your when doing your Bobcat method, because sometimes people you might not have you might have to create their skin tone. So sometimes somebody might be in the middle, and you know you might only have light and darker. You might have to combine just a little bit of dark and you know two-thirds of like to get them. You know into that middle shade. Now, as far as your concealers and things goes, you don't have to use that much um like I said you just want to give her a whole bottle. Cap. Look that's the whole point of everything. So now after we do that, as you guys can see, she looks like she has, you know, buy it. So what we're gon na do is we're going to take some of our divine oil extract before we start doing anything else, so it could just be and that's going to get any excess oils, and all of that before we apply our lace smells really good. Actually, I think I liked it when you guys was asking when you guys were asking me questions. Do we have anybody asking questions? They are engaged, trust me. They are here now. Ah, no, I did okay, I got it now. Our knots. Are we not healer? This is really really good for cut, like I said, colors colors, colors colors, because a lot of people tend to like steal like if it's a difference I know like if you're, not in the Hair World, you really don't know, but it really is a difference. But what I'm gon na do is I'm gon na go on the inside of the wig with the wig, not here that we are using the medium brown and I'm just going to go through the inside, and once I get done, you guys will see what I Was trying to do - and it basically just gives her more of a scalp effect, make it looks like the lace is coming out of her scalp. That'S a very important part as well. Blending and melting is the most important part with lace. Energy is going in and just basically coloring those knots into her natural skin tone. Basically and then, as you can see right now, what we have show us the inside again, please got it also. This is really good too, with pressing, so we can go ahead and protector and it has hold in memory. So once we get started we'll just have to, we could just go ahead and get to our pressing part. This hair feels amazing y'all. Thank you, and also what I like to do is as well. Take your pineapple, wet, stick and just go light. You don't have to go heavy just go a light brush onto the top of it just um, and then what we're going to do is we're using that and we're going to hit it with the flat iron that just make sure be able to tell what gives You a more defined look hey Daniel out of New York uh, he said, love the color. What color did you use uh? I used Feria blonde toning conditioner for blondes and a little bit of adore Platinum, just to tone it just to get the yellow out um. So right now, let's get started on what we're gon na do so like I said this is a funnel like, so it's not a full lace, so it's just a little bit of lace in the bag. So what we're going to do is we're going to cut this lace off in the back and then we're gon na see what we're gon na get started on everything. Okay star. Thank you now, like I told you guys Place me, is everything you don't want to have the lace all the way down here, but you don't want to have it all the way back. Here too, the object is to have it directly sitting outside of the hairline. It'S not going to stick to hair, it has to stick to skin, so make sure and some people, you know, I'm not gon na lie. If you feel like being a little bit more tedious and all of that you know, some people can work with people who have lower hair lines, you know with lace and things of that nature. But if it's not, if you know that you're not too sure about it, then don't don't do it. I always say that with lace, if you're not sure about it, don't do it ask for help it's okay, if you're in another salon - and you have a salon that does lace and everybody's in there doing it - I mean it doesn't hurt if you, if you step Next door and say hey: can you help her come? You know, I have a problem, we're not even necessarily a problem, but I need some assistance. So what we're going to do now is this wig actually fits her perfect. So what we're going to do now is we're just cutting the side, so we can get the fit of the wig and also your scissors and things of that nature. Also, that's like I said when it's coming to lace, whatever works best for you, your tools, your products, all of this stuff, whatever works best for you, do it there's no white right and wrong way to do lace, it's all about what you feel comfortable doing and How you can get your own feel of it in your own technique, so what I'm gon na do now? Is I'm going to go back through and do a little bit more plucking just um, so you guys can see just to go back through the hairline and, like I said, when you're doing your plucking you're going to go out behind the hairline, don't ever go directly On the hairline always go behind, some people um have what they call a rose. Some people say they go two or three rows behind. I tend to go one to two because, like I said with blonde lace, you don't have to really do too much plucking because it's kind of like already pre-p excuse me. It'S so crazy! You guys because my phone would want to ring like while I'm recording and like I said, I'm just going back behind the hairline, just thin it out just a little bit more foreign because you have to get it to fit the person so like once you apply The lace and all of this stuff, you want to have it customized to fit the person you're gon na, always when you're doing lace, you're going to have to customize your lace, always you're gon na have to pluck it if it's dark, hair, you're gon na have To bleach the knots pluck it and you know, do everything that you can to make it As Natural as possible. So what we're going to do now is she tends to not like to be like she's. She feels claustrophobic, I guess so like what she does. Is she doesn't like to be like pinned all the way down? So what we're going to do is we're just going to take our little snaps and snap her wig down in the back, because I don't want her to um. Try to attack me for having her wig too tight in the back, so what we're going to do is? Would you like tape in a bit? See, though this is one of my ones, she doesn't really um care for. She, like I'm gon na, be completely honest, guys, don't laugh but she's, my client, that she don't really care about like getting a hair done. She come every two three days, so she don't want me to snap or sew nothing down because she has to be able to snatch her off like she don't shh sure she gets multiple hairdos every hour on the hour like I appreciate it, yeah she'd be sitting Up here trying I'm gon na start like turning my my um, you went on and do it yourself and all that what you trying to do, baby yeah, don't worry about it. I got you she's coming three times a week, so that might be exactly foreign. This girl, she don't do nothing else. She gon na save some corn. Y'All ain't got to worry about that baby. So now what we're gon na do is what was I just I'm looking for something you guys. I hate when my mind goes blank. No, it's not the glue there. It is right here I would not healer. I see just a few spots that I could have hit better so, like I said by her being one of my clients that does sweat. What we're going to do is we're going to use the lace paste extra and what we're going to do is you're, going to take that lace, paste and you're going to go directly along the melted cap. Another celebrity just jumped on neela saja from Married to Medicine said I love the blonde hair. Thank you Emilia see, that's what I like people that make me feel good. You know I always be a little nervous and stuff like that. Y'All know. I don't really I'm a Libra honey. She said she wanted. Okay. I please give me your Instagram, because I don't have to do her anymore and you can do it. Oh, what you trying to say, I mean I'm mine and all I'm doing right now is just evenly Distributing the glue, like I say, along her hairline. This also melts your cap more as well, like, I said you kind of just have to get a feel for it, and just as you do it, the more and more you do it, the better you get it's just like everything. Everything with practice makes perfect. Um y'all trying to get me to go, buy me one of these truck drivers. This is a cool blow, dryer, very quiet and very powerful, and I usually like to apply two or three coats. Some people require some people. You can do two coats. Some people require three, it just depends: um we're gon na try two and if I see how it's looking um, if I need to add a third coat, I will and like I said, we are going directly outside of the hairline there's a question. Why you're applying this the question says: is there a recommended layer amount, especially for clients who like to swim? What is your opinion um I'll, be completely honest? You guys you just have to be completely real with certain things as far as people who like to swim in lace, it's nothing that you can buy in the human Earth. I mean I'm just going to be completely honest. Uh, you have to be real when you say this stuff because see the thing is a lot of people go and they do these do things and they come back to you and you be done, apply and all this stuff and they looking at you like hey You told me I can get in the pool you know, so I just tell people the truth. You know you can buy some good, strong, adhesive and get in a pool with lace, but you're gon na have to instantly dry it. You can't pull on it and all of that you can't be, it's definitely stipulations to it. You can't just be Ariel in the ocean. Little Mermaid just swimming just know, I mean just be real, you guys you got to think about it. It'S it's still. It'S not! Your hair, so what is gon na is, what's What's it gon na hold on to adhesive only lasts for so long, so I mean you can get a really strong adhesive and, like I said I normally do in between two and three coats um. It just depends on the person if the person wants two three to three coats I'll go ahead and do it, but I normally do this two but um yeah, like I said um. They have really strong adhesives that you can use. However, it's nothing really that you can buy that somebody's gon na tell you, and this is some. Unless it's Gorilla Glue. Oh, I mean hey, I mean that's the only way your legs is going to stay on and you get in the pool, because if you get in the pool with a lace, I don't care if the glue was 500. I'M just being completely honest with you guys. It'S going to come up, there's nothing! That'S just going to keep your legs down, especially if you don't have a tie or Edge band uh that the edge band really keeps it down more than the adhesive wheel. To be honest, if you just use your proper tools, you know wrap your hair up and all of that, it's it's. They work foreign, so we're going to apply her a third coat because she's a sweater. Someone said thank you for detailing and instructors for your detailed instructions on expressing around the hairline. So yes, yes, yes, that's why I was saying a lot of people who have your clients who have low hair lines and all of that some people you have to shave. It off a little bit, if you they don't want to then just tell them hey. This might not be the service for you. You know, let's just stick with the traditional you know, sew-in or traditional leave out like a lot of people, don't get it, but you don't have to have lace all the time. It'S just something. That'S popular now it's been out forever. It'S really like costume, hair and scent hair people. Don'T really have lace on for that's another thing, I'm glad we touched on that lace. Ladies and gentlemen, we're going to say. Sometimes you have to learn your lane. You have to stay in your lane. I'M just gon na be completely honest when you get a late service done, lace is technically for people. If you don't know now, you know I'm telling you. This lace is not made for you to wear for two weeks and I was like you're not supposed to have a lace on for two or three weeks: it's not it's costume, Hair. We Just As Americans just took it and made it into something but technically you're not supposed to have lace on for two weeks and it's a very it's very expensive. So you know I understand that you might have paid 500 for the wig and you know 250 for the install or things of that nature. I understand all of that, but that's what it is very tedious and it doesn't last long. So if you know that, that's not you know what you're trying to do or go for just stay in your lane, it's okay, everybody doesn't have to have a lace, get your traditional base. You know a traditional sewing. It'S okay, people still wear those. I just did one the other day, so you know you just have to like. No like you know what it is that you're doing, and I last little application. I'M really thankful that you guys gave me this opportunity. Some people might be like a little upset after this because they're like oh, so he done gave up all the secrets. But now I just tell people because I've had a lot of clients like I've, had a really like if you're a stylist, especially in Atlanta. Then you definitely can't relate I've had a client who brought me some lace before and it was from the beauty supply store and it wasn't the best of hair, and I even expressed that to her before we even applied it. She said: hey, I'm just trying something. I never had at least before, but I know that you can make it work, so please just go ahead and just apply this letter for me I did yeah I mean I did I made. I made it look good, but it still wasn't the best to me because it wasn't that's why I had to learn not to use certain things if it's not up to par, because you know people get people get real. Shady, like you know, like she got on Instagram and was saying you know, I missed the hair up and whoopty whoopty whoop and all of this, and but failed to mention the part that you bought some five dollar hair. You know they left that part out. You know so you have to like go ahead and just like stick to your guns, I don't care how bad you need the money stick to your guns, because at the end of the day, you'll get blessed more with plenty, more clients after you do, and it's A Flawless you know install on somebody who is willing to spend the money and get the good quality things that they need, so their hair can come out good. Like my friend here, you know a lot of people don't get that people. Oh, I paid five hundred dollars, no, no, no yeah! I know you did that's what it's for you just have. If you weren't trying to do that, you just need to stay in your lane. Nothing personal! I mean it's, not it's expensive. You know we're in Atlanta, like I get it, it's like. You know not not saying that, because you don't have to have lace, don't feel like that. That'S what you have to have everybody doesn't do it like. I said traditional sew-ins. I bought them too. You know so yeah, that's that um yeah, you have to choose what works for you like. Don'T let you know if you're, not if you're iffy about something, don't let your client talk you into doing something, because at the end of the day, it's your work. That'S a reflection of you. You don't have time for all of that that mess you know people going bad saying you know this and that and all of that type of stuff, when really you had to you, can't really blame nobody, but yourself, because you know like hey you shouldn't. Indeed, you should just go and went ahead and just send them folk on about their business and just hey you can't please everybody. That'S another thing. You have to learn as a stylist as well. You know some people are not a match and it's okay, yeah. Our money is not good money. Trust me some people's money, I'd be like. Oh, they called like girl. I don't want to deal with her like oh, but yeah. Our money, ain't, good money, you'll, learn that, as you know, in this industry, like some people will tell you like um someone added the comment and she said foreign. You just have to take your time and just and you'll be okay, now she's about almost dry. Well, really, she is foreign, you just want to get it to dry, because you don't want to get it to where it's on hot, because it'll kind of melt, the glue it'll turn it like white it'll get too hot, where the glue will start kind of like Cooking a little bit so you have to do it like on a cool warm to cool setting, so we're going to apply our lace I like to take. Let me see so what we're going to do is we're going to apply? Let'S not lean back baby. Some people, like I said you have to get a feel for it. I can do it from either way because I've been doing it for so long, but some people the best way, if you want to you, can do it from the front it'll be a lot easier for beginners. So pretty much like, I said: we've cut off our sides. Okay, is that better, and what we're going to do is we're going to apply our lace and right now. What I'm doing is I'm just pressing it into her pressing the lace and the glue into her scalp onto her scalp so that it will stick and you're just going to take the back of the comb and, like I said, you're just pressing. The lace in that was actually fine. It wasn't in the way. So what we're gon na do is now. Our lace has been applied so right now. What we're going to do is we're going to take our private label lace tie and just so, we can melt our lace a little bit more we're going to let this sit for just a minute or two yeah I'll use on my heart. Oh no, I'm not! I'M just playing hey girl, gon na be ready for the new years like ow beautiful, like I said you know we're not doing too much as you can see like you know she has blonde hair, so we don't have to do a whole lot. So we're just going to do a simple bust down the middle part um. You know soft baby hairs and you know we're just going into the new year: foreign foreign, foreign, foreign, two and two okay, okay, we're back guys. So what we have done now is. We have cut off our excess lace, so now here goes the fun part customizing it after you cut off the excess lace. You know sometimes when you're cutting lace and all of that you might still have just you might have to add just a little Tad of glue, a certain little spots and things of that nature. But it's okay. You would rather have not enough glue on there than too much, because once it gets down already it's kind of like hard to put it put it back up after it's been tacked down, and it's real tacky like that. So what I'm doing now is just laying down her sideburns with just a little extra glue using our private label blow dryer we're going to dry those sides. It doesn't take long at all. It'S so crazy! You guys, like I said like because you know it took a long time to kind of like well not a long time, but it took a while, because people are getting nervous like doing lace and all that, like I said you got to get your feel for It because it'll scare you a little bit if you're not used to it. You know, like I said it's gon na, take a few mess-ups for you to get it right, but it's okay, get your little sister or a cousin or anybody and just try it. You know if you don't feel sure or comfortable about doing certain things, because that's what I did I was trying things it took me a while you know so and, like I said, I'm just going back through redefining the part with the tweezers tweezing our excess hairs. Before I hit it with our hot coal foreign guys, I got quiet, I'm sorry about that uh! Sometimes when I start working, I get into my little zone or whatever. So now we have cut off the excess lace, as you guys can see, and - and you can kind of take you're, not healer, and that's good for just you know, just take it and go through your age is satellite and what I'm doing is I'm not wiping? I'M not going into sweeping motion, I'm padding. That'S really really good for your legs. Don'T go in a sweeping motion. Go in a padding motion like I said we're going to do traditional style, we're not going to do too many extracurricular baby hairs. I don't know if you hungry or me: I didn't eat breakfast. I'M sorry, I'm right here in my face, I hear it growling you're hungry. You see how she do me y'all. Really. I had a muffin in the card. What I'm gon na do, what I'm laughing it helps muffin in the water in the morning, okay, muffin and water. In the morning. You guys okay, now hold this eye for me sweetheart. So what I'm doing is now I'm taking my baby hairs out, so you guys can see and, like I said, we're just going to do some simple baby hairs. Like I said you don't have to do too much because you know she does already have blonde hair. So to me, when you have color, hair less is more when it comes to styling, because the color really speaks for itself. Here you go baby and what we're doing right here guys we're just getting her baby hairs in order before we start our pressing process and all of their things of that nature, and what I'm going to do now is I'm going to go back through and do Just a little bit more plucking, like I said, customizing this part of the main key with lace and we're going to pluck cluck cluck this side. I don't know if you guys can see, but I'm gon na get out, try to get out your guys this way. So you guys can see exactly what I'm doing. There'S some comments. They said I would love to see a live on uh techniques, and maybe we can look into that or maybe they can join you on your Instagram correct sure I underscore am Little Derek. Please feel free if you have any questions to DM me or call or text me. You know I don't mind, wait. Your number is connected to your Instagram um. No, no, I mean no yeah, it does like I mean I have a number that can contact. Okay. Okay looks like it might have been a statement I wish I can stay to the end, but I have to go to work and go make this money, but you can always come back and see it because the live will be on our side. Yes, it will foreign, do you prep your weights beforehand, if you're doing a photo shoot yeah normally before I normally prep before? Even I do an in style even with a client. Excuse me uh, when my class come in, if they're getting a weird service done or inst or frontal or closure, I normally try to have them to bring it in a day or two in advance. Just so I can pluck and bleach and color and all that stuff. So therefore, once they come in, I won't have to do anything but install of course, but today you gave us start to finish. Thank you for that. No problem yeah. She wasn't hold on one. Second, it's melting, remove it, oh God I just had to make sure and right here. This is good with mailting as well. Like I said, it's really really good is at your local Beauty Supply and what we're going to do is we are about to prep for styling. So as we get ready for styling we're going to use our Edge band and we're going to get this show on the road, so what I'm doing now is why her hair is melting. We'Re going to go ahead, we're going to press it out, we're going to be using our armor Heat Protector spray and a little bit of our glow shine gloss. Just take it from the back. You don't have to use too much foreign yeah yeah. I knew it and right now we're just going through the hot cone getting these straightaways before we actually start pressing. Did someone say that your voice changed when using your professionals, our friend from our neighborhood, okay yeah? You know when I one of our neighborhood friends. She ain't used to me acting like this, whatever right right, so you walk out another one. I tell you that much so, yes, we're going to use our plywood label flat irons. Now these flat irons go up to 480., so y'all got to be careful. Do not put these up to 480., I don't know, don't you don't ever go up to 480.? Yes, you you can really go to like unless you're like no, it must definitely for blondes. I normally suggest to have it the heat up between 4 35. Well I'll say: 4 40 and 4 45. Maybe you know, but because 450, it uh. If you don't know what you're doing it'll take all off it, take all your color off. I remember back in the day when blonde hair they used to sell it, and I learned my list with that. I was doing this girl's hair and she basically like bought this blonde hair, and I was curling it. It was too hot. It turned pink hot pink. I had to go down there to the Hollywood Beauty Supply store inside Greenbrier, Mall they'll. Let you know how long ago that was and go get her some more hair and if you guys know about blonde hair it's expensive back, then I have like a hundred dollars. A pack and I had to get to so you might as well just say I just did - I have for free yeah because I ain't trying to be pregnant, but I was like you know. Maybe I could you know I was young, then so I'm like maybe I could throw a curl over here, so you know they could blend in with the blend. If he nah baby, she wasn't going for it. I need some more hair. These flat irons work really really well you guys, you got you guys got to check them out. Private label was the right thing. What are the parts of these? For? Okay, everything is on sale, we're having a New Year's sale so that 1.75 iron is on sale. It'S originally 129.. It'S on sale for 49.. This, yes excited right now there, the one inch is on sale for 49 as well, and the ceramic curling iron is on sale for 39. It'S originally 100.. The dryer that we talked about is originally 299 and you get it for 99., okay and it's going to increase very soon, but this was just our holiday price point correct that ain't playing with y'all this year next year, either me, oh, I would say sometimes no. I was just playing: don't listen to this girl y'all, she be having me saying all kind of stuff. So right now, like I said we're just going through pressing it out bone straight. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you, foreign okay. I will um like what I did. You guys too, like I said I just wanted to get the yelling this out and give it more of like an ash blonde. So I just added a little bit of L'Oreal blonde conditioner. It'S a violet-based conditioner um by Feria Gloria biferia, conditioner um, and also I added a little bit of platinum, a door to it. Just like to drop two or three drops. I didn't need a whole lot, because the Platinum would have gave it more of a silver color versus a blonde, so you just need a little bit just just a little bit just the tone and water, warm water, the blonding conditioner and three, three or four drops Of the platinum color by adore and then once you mix all that together in the in your bowl or your sink, what you're going to do is you're going to dip the hair you're going to watercolor the hair he's giving me Penthouse Vibes like what uh-huh yeah These flat irons are the bond you guys they'll make great gifts, even though Christmas is over. You can still give them a gift for your loved ones. They'Ll make great gifts, you can't beat their blow dryer foreign excuse me. I'M not gon na say that too loud, huh, no you're, not Miss Jackie, always told me to say how I feel God Rest Miss Jackie, Miss Jackie, taught me a lot at Paul Mitchell. That was one of our instructors. Besides Dallas who we were really like their children right, they really took us under their wing. It was like me, and my friend Shane like it was something like they related and cleat with everybody in the school, but it was just something about like us and a few others who they just were on us extra heavy like they did not play about us. If we was not in class hey where y'all at you be like Shamika ain't in class either I ain't even worried about shamik, I'm talking about you where you at like so like they really, like kind of you know, molded me and got me ready for this
