Hey there gorgeous hope, you're having a great day. It is such a pleasure to see you thank you for being here in this video. I am sharing my results with you of having tested out a Korean hair care. Routine. We'Ve often talked about Korean makeup products. Here we've talked about Korean skin care products, and I have very, I have been very impressed by both of those but I've never visited the topic really of Korean hair care, and so I've done that and I'm going to be sharing my results with you today and All of the steps taken to try out this kind of routine, I will warn you up front. I did take pictures of my scalp, so I will be showing pictures of my hair follicles up close. If this is something that freaks you out, I do want to let you know that ahead of time, so that you are prepared Koreans, focus more so on the scalp for improving the health of your hair, more so than what I feel like we do here in Western culture, we focus more on this. How many products can I apply on my hair here before it will start to look better, but it makes sense that the scalp is really where we should be focusing our attention, both on hair regrowth, regrowth and the overall health of your hair. So the very first step in a Korean hair care routine is to apply something called a scalp scaler. So what this is is a product that's used to clean and exfoliate the hair follicles, and it gets rid of dirt, grease, excess product, buildup, Etc, and most of these do contain salicylic, acid or other exfoliating agents that make for a very thorough cleansing. The way that you apply this is you put it on your hair, while it's dry before you shampoo, you rub it into your scalp and you want to leave it to sit in your hair for about 20 minutes or so, and then you get in the shower And rinse it out. In my experience with having used this, it was almost like an exfoliating scrub that we use on our faces, but it was meant for the scalp and it was really nice to use very refreshing and very easy to wash out by the way. I didn't struggle with any part of that. The next step is to do a shampoo and scalp massage. The shampoo that I'm using is from Amos. This is their scalp nourish shampoo. This has a green tea formula and it's made specifically for hair loss. This particular shampoo contains amino acids, which are the building blocks for protein, and not only does this formula help to facilitate in providing hair growth, but it also stimulates new hair growth by targeting the scalp. What makes this line from Amos different from other brands out? There is that it contains white leaf, green tea, also known as white matcha, and this features three times the amount of amino acids than normal varieties, and this is what contributes to providing the hair with moisture strength. It also helps to prevent baldness, hair loss and stimulates hair growth. One of the other really important steps of a Korean hair care routine is scalp massage. Not only does this help to remove any excess residue, it helps to stimulate the scalp and the hair follicles. You can use your fingers or you can get a special Little Brush like I have here to rub your scalp with this is really inexpensive. You can find stuff like this on Amazon, it's actually really nice. I I rather enjoyed doing this. I had never done it before we're testing it out for this routine, that I'm showing you here, and it was rather nice to use on the scalp next step in a Korean hair care. Routine is to apply conditioner and or a hair mask very important step crucial because it helps to moisturize the hair and keeps it soft and healthy. So I'm using the Amos scalp nourish green tea, moisturizing pack - and this is not your traditional conditioner. This is more like a hair mask the way that you apply. This is to apply it all over from root to end. So in Western Society we use conditioner mainly on the ends of our hair, but with a product like this, you do want to apply it from the root to the end and that's why it acts more like a hair mask than a traditional conditioner, like the shampoo. This also contains that green tea formula amino acids and will contribute to health of the scalp and hair regrowth, and what I can tell you from having used it is that it felt so refreshing. While I was allowing it to sit in my hair - and I think I let it sit in my hair for about 10 to 15 minutes each time that I used it and my scalp was tingling the whole time it was such a pleasant experience. It felt like I had Menthol on my head. It was very refreshing. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience with this hair mask and when you rinse it out, you can feel the transformation in your hair. It'S very soft, smooth it rinsed out so easily. It took out a lot of the tangles that I had in my hair and my scalp felt fresh once I had rinsed it off another step in the routine is to apply a vinegar rinse. You can very simply use apple, cider, vinegar, and this helps to balance the scalp's pH. Minimize itching irritation, excessive dryness, and it also contributes to a healthy scalp. Now you do want to only do this about once a week and not more than that, and all you do is you just take the apple, cider, vinegar and you pour it over your head after you're done, shampooing and conditioning your hair and let it dry from There it won't smell, the smell will not linger, but it does do wonderful things for your scalp. The next part of the routine is to apply a scalp tonic, and so I'm using this one from the Amos line, the scalp tonic, is similar to skin toner. It helps to balance scalp, pH levels and preps for the next steps, and all you do. Is you spray it on your scalp, rub it in with your fingers and then leave it there, don't rinse it and then the final step is to apply a hair Essence, which is nothing more than a really light oil that helps to keep the ends. Soft and tangle free and eliminate dryness in the strands. The other thing that you see quite often in these Korean hair care routines is an overnight treatment mask being applied at least once a week, and they go towards ingredients like coconut oil, Moroccan oil. Think of what the other one was: castor, oil, okay, so the main three ingredients you want to look for when you are getting an overnight treatment, mask our castor oil, coconut oil or Moroccan oil, that's typically what they use in their overnight hair treatments. I will say that makes a difference, though, because I didn't do that before testing this out and it what a world of difference it makes the day after and even the week after, when you are applying those overnight hair treatments I had mentioned in the beginning of The video that I took pictures of my scalp I did - I got this little camera that actually takes pictures of your scalp. It'S really cool and I took pictures of my hair clean hair the day before I started doing this routine, and that is what it looked like up close. You can see that my follicles were pretty covered in Gunk, I mean that's clean hair. Oh, my gosh, you know like how much stuff is getting stuck to our hair anyway. So this is what my scalp now looks like after trying out this routine, the hair follicles to me. Look a lot healthier. They don't look gunked up, they look like they can breathe, and that is where I have been misled. My whole life and thinking oh hair regrowth, you know, starts with doing this and this and applying this to your hair. No, it's the scalp. If your scalp is not healthy, then you cannot expect to get regrowth of hair. I mean it's no different than what we talk about when we say you have to have a great Foundation before you apply your makeup over the top skin care is important and your scalp is no different and I really loved the Amos line of products that I Tested as part of this routine, and if you are interested in those I'll have them listed and linked for you below in the description box, they were really fabulous and if you tried them out, I know that you would absolutely adore them now. Some other things I wanted to share with you about Korean hair care routines is that they do not sleep with wet hair, they're, very adamant about what hair causes friction and hair damage, and it's also prone to breakage and bacterial infections. So that's a big No-No. They are big Advocates about air drying, your hair - some of us, can do that, and some of us cannot. So if you can't don't worry about it, but I do try to air dry my hair. More often than not, I try to avoid heat styling mechanisms and all that, as often as I can for the overall health of the hair, and it does help. They also say to get a wig for different looks, and this helps to avoid chemical dyes and treatments, and it's a way to try a new look without damaging your hair, which is brilliant. I mean wigs are becoming more commonplace now and more acceptable, and what was the other tip? I had to share with you. Sun protection they're, very big, about protecting their hair from the Sun. There are um UV protectant sprays that you can spray on your hair to protect from sun damage. The other thing I found really interesting that I wanted to share with you and part of this research, as I was doing it for this video, is that Korean hair care products have more natural ingredients in them, as opposed to our American hair care products, which have A lot more synthetic stuff in them, not all of them. I'M just saying that synthetic does rain Supreme here, as opposed to over there, where they focus more on the natural component, and I think one of the best things about this kind of routine is that it focuses on the scalp. It focuses on fixing problems that you may be having from the root of the problem working its way out and to me that is just it makes sense. It'S common sense, you know. So if you have not tried this kind of routine, I I think it's absolutely worth trying it's worth looking into. It really does make such a difference. I have noticed my hair, just in general, looking better after having Incorporated this routine in now. It is rather time consuming. It is, but it's worth it. So if you've not tried it, I challenge you to do it. If you have tried it, please feel free to share your opinions and your thoughts on this kind of routine below. I hope that you found this video helpful today. Thank you again for being here for taking the time to watch. I speak love peace and joy and to you and into your home - and I look forward to seeing you again next time -

Rosalina: I’m 66 year old and I started massaging my scalp years ago. I use a rather stiff hand brush. My scalp is very healthy and my hair grow super fast. My hair dresser is always amazing of the quality of my hair and scalp.

Jennifer Smith: Hi Zabrena. I wanted to share my story in hopes it can help one of your other viewers. About a year ago I started experiencing very intense itchy scalp whenever my hair was wet. I would have to sit on my hands to keep myself from clawing my head. Didn’t matter if was from the shower, pool, beach, or rain. Once my hair dried the itching went away. My hairdresser didn’t see anything of concern, I contacted Matrix to see if they had made any changes to the products I use, which they hadn’t. I saw a dermatologist and an allergist who also couldn’t find anything. I tried scalp scrubs and “itchy scalp” products. My doctor then suggested neuropathic itch and sent me to a neurologist and that was my answer. For whatever reason my hair being wet causes the nerves to over fire causing an itching sensation. According to my neurologist there are many causes. For me its a result of a spinal cord injury six years ago. I’m now on a medication that blocks those nerve receptors, it took about 3 months but I finally have relief. I wouldn’t wish it on anyone, but sometimes what is going on on the surface isn’t a skin/scalp issue at at all. Hope everyone has an amazing weekend and very safe andHappy Thanksgiving. ❤

Rifflin The Mind.: I have sebbhoreic dermatitis so I use a lot of these. The trigger for my flare ups was definitely dry shampoo, it made my scalp so itchy. I do a weekly conditioning oil mask under a shower cap one evening each week and oil my ends after washing my hair. I do a gentle scalp massage when I shampoo (using the pads of my fingers, that stops me irritating or breaking my skin) and I try to plait it back while I sleep. I do have to do an apple cider vinegar rinse x2 a month because I found that the water in my shower is on the little on the hard side and that adds to build up.

Sina Fröhlich: Yes, scalp oiling and massaging is amazing! I am recently also much into it and feels so nice. Also, rosemary water is fantastic. I massaged it into my scalp for two weeks and it is so so good, now I am using a product with Dead See minerals and it's not as good lol I need to look into those products if they are available here in my country. XOXO

Simone Clarke: I have thinning hair and I am definitely going to try the scalp scrub and tonic. I have been wearing wigs for years and have decided to try and grow my hair out grey, so I am looking for ways to improve the health and increase new growth. Thank you for this really interesting video

Tina Short: You are just amazing!! I don’t know how you keep up!!! You’re always giving us beautifully made videos and I know it takes a ton of time to film, edit etc!!! Plus you have 3 babies, a hubby, a home and a whole life we don’t see!! You’re always such a beautiful respite from hard worked days!!! Much love sweetie❤

Janet Seidlitz: I lost most of my hair in my early 30s after a total hysterectomy. The only product I've found that works pretty well is the Nioxin 2 system. I can't afford it, so I go bald or wear a hat, but my sister uses it and still has a nice amount of hair. I used it while I was visiting her and my mom one summer, and it had an amazing effect. I've been thinking about mixing my own scalp oil up. I would use peppermint oil, rosemary oil, castor oil, and nettle extract in avocado oil.

MLC 725: You have gorgeous and beautiful hair, I will definitely check out this brand.

THEE Luanne: Thank you so much for this video Zabrena! Sending prayers and love to you and your family

Beshaan Samih Al Said: In the Arabic culture we believe in the same concept on taking care of the scalp for hair growth and improving hair I general. So years ago I adopted a routine of oiling my scalp at least once a week, it makes a world of difference

Raven Rose: I have Alopecia, scalp burning disorder and seborrheic dermatitis. I really wanna try these, they sound awesome!

Marybeth: Wow, your hair looks beautiful, I can tell how soft it is.

Kelsey Hutchens: Hey Zabrena, I can't help but admire your eye makeup, I was distracted the entire video by how beautiful it is. And I also love your eyelashes, I thought it was mascara that's how much they didn't look like false lashes. Please tell us at home what your wearing so we can know too hope you have a blessed weekend and look forward to seeing you again soon ❤

Lauren Gardner: This makes a lot of sense. Thank you sweet lady!!!

Cowgirl Kat: Now you have me intrigued! I was afraid to use one of those hair scratcher things because I'm tender headed, but now I'm reconsidering! LOL! I will prob order one from Shop Miss A though... I have an order building there...

Amy Bourget: Thank you for this video Zabrena. Both my husband and I are having problems with thinning and falling out, especially me. I do have a medication that can cause hair loss, but it helps me not get my migraines everyday. I don’t plan on ever going off this med because it is the only one that I have tried (and I have tried many over the years) that works for me. Anyway, everytime I was my hair which is only once a week, I have a palm full of hair that came out. My husband has long hair and it has gotten thinner especially on the top where he parts it. He has gorgeous hair for a man and he is getting very upset about it thinning. I’m going to surprise him with this for Christmas. I am going to surprise myself too (LOL) Your videos like these are so amazing and so are you. I love you and your channel so much. I’ve been watching you since you got pregnant for Gia and haven’t missed one video yet. Thank you again and God Bless you and your family. I Bring You Peace and Love. ❤️

Dottie Johnson: Zabrena, I just found you and I feel so happy. You are so thorough and I am really drawn to specific knowledge about a product. I am subscribed and happy for me!!! Dot

Donna Holmes: Shopmissa sells the scalp massagers and they’re awesome!! Probably more affordable than Amazon too! *BONUS* buy extra massagers if you have little kids!! They are awesome painting tools and the kids LOVE painting with them! They are easy for little hands to grasp…They are excellent for strengthening and developing both fine and gross motor skills as well as areas such as process art!! And I think they only cost $1 or close to it. Lots of fun! Lol I use these more as painting tools ❤❤❤

Laura Rivera: I know this is off the subject, I know you love a good purple, violet eyeshadow pallet. I just bought Moira I’m falling for you series! I think you would love this!

Yvonne Reese: Thank you for doing this video. I m excited to try this line. It does make sense to treat the scalp.

Barbara Ford: Thanks for all the research you did for us!!

robin templin: I have been wanting to try the scalp massager!! It was amazing to see the results of your scalp before and after. WOW I never looked at this angle of scalp treatment before. Loved this informative video. Your hair looks gorgeous!!

Patra K: I think you along with another doctor here on YT inspired me to try Korean facial products because the Japanese ones we causing me issues but since my switch I'm loving my Korean facial products. Now I'm going to switch to Korean hair products.

amanda dewindt: Another refreshing shampoo is paul mitchell tea tree shampoo. It also is super refreshing on the scalp and gives a deep clean on the hair and scalp.

I: All the lawsuits etc against relaxers/dry shampoos etc wouldn't happen in Korea. Personally I use ayurvedic powders from the Indian grocer. I recommend a shikakai hair mask!

Gloria L D: I have lost half of my hair in the last 2 years. On my profile picture my hair looks pretty good. But 3 years later I don't have that much hair left. It's upsetting to me, I'm taking collagen powder saw palmetto, biotin and multivitamin. Ugh it's not helping I don't color my hair I don't heat treat my hair not even with a blow dryer. So I will stick to my supplements maybe I have better assaults in the months to come, fingers crossed Blessings to All

Andrea Edmon: Hi Zabrina. I'm a long time viewer (5+ yrs) and I love your videos and how you share your faith! It's not always easy as a christian to be as open as you are so I applaud you for that. I would also love your prayers. My Dr found a suspicious spot and I'm now scheduled for a mammogram. I'm praying for and believing that it is nothing.

Brenda Graham: Love this and as you say it just makes sense ❤❤

Creationsps91: Wow love this thank you for enlightening us❤

Natasha Eccles: Completely fascinating!! Love this!!❤

julie morris: Your hair is so beautiful Zabrena. Do you love your hair? Have you always? I'm just curious. I have poker straight fine hair and boy my mom fought to make it different. LOL. I pretty much just work with what I have now and I am happy with it.

Joan Nogas: I was not looking to change up my hair routine before watching your video. But .... the Korean routine intrigued me VERY MUCH. I already use several Korean products on my face so why not target my scalp. My hair was doing well, but now is going through a shedding phase which I'm pretty sure is linked to chemo meds. I still give myself red light treatments. I think I'll finish up my current stash and then order the Korean line.

RainCoffeeandBooks: Hi Zabrena! You just did what we in the curly girl community know as the curly girl method. You might want to try Curl Smith products, which you can find in Ulta. Or for a drug store brand there is Not Your Mother's Curl Talk. Just a suggestion. Love your channel. My daughter and I watch it all the time. Blessings to you and your family.

Deb Marrett: How often do they recommend this routine?

Midlife Maniacal Mayhem: the curls on your left look awesome! full of volume and shape. the curls on your right, some are great, some look like they are struggling. do you think this is a result of the change in products? maybe your hair has to adjust somewhat? or that maybe they are not great for curly hair? either way, i'd kill for yours. mine has gotten so thin there's not much i can do with it.

Marian H: This sounds so luxurious and nice As the world's (*cough*) laziest person... Are there any 1-2 steps that you feel give the most effect?

Meryl Tom: Great video! Like you, I'm a curly head. My hair is naturally dry. I was wondering if apple cider vinegar strips the natural oils in you hair.

Milly Tremblay: When I went to hair dressing school many, many years ago we always used a bit of vinegar in the last rinse. Old ways....??? But hair loved it.

L C: 6 mos pregnant with baby #3. After every baby, I have horrible postpartum hair loss so I am going to try this out when baby is here! Thank you!

teena85XXX: I've tried ACV and could still smell it after wash, condition and a leave in conditioner. ACV will help your hair shine and be clean but I can't get past the smell. (The second time I used ACV I rinsed forever and could still smell it.)

Stephanie Keith: Very cool! Thanks Zabrena. ❤ love ya!

steph: I have severe hair thinning to where I need to use hair fibers. No one can figure out why. I may try these products

Lola: You sold me on this routine

Donna mcdermott: Thankyou Z for the amazing information

L N: What if you have colored hair? Won’t this remove your color?

Jana west: Is this safe for psoriasis?

Albi Reading Romance: I love my scalp massager.

Easy Nails: What else do you, use,n your hair, for,a,curly hair routine Would love to know ❤

The Public account: What camera did you use for scalp photos

Shelley T: I don't have an oily scalp. The shampoo you're using says it's for oily scalps. Is that gonna make a difference?

Hanf Lieu: I will try❤️

Lauren Gardner: I ordered the shampoo!

Deborah Smith: so you don't rinse the vinegar out?

Vero Mac: Hi zabrena when do you use the spelregels cider vinigar?

Velvet Celieste: Are these product safe for color treated hair. I don’t want to use anything that going to me to have to color more than I already have to on my almost completely grey hair. I am a naturally black haired but have always had fashion colours like pink, purple, orange , blue or green also red head too. But since my hair is grey is doesn’t hold colour as well so now I use a blue black hair colour.

RaqBim Bimbas: Love the vídeo

Victoria Llaguno: Very interesting

Gloria Plunkett: I love more natural ingredients. Our bodies are already polluted environmentally, with GMOs, etc.

A. Smwood: I have curly hair -pretty much like yours … do you brush your hair before washing it? I have to ( it’s the ONLY time I do) I think I’m losing more hair lately… it’s actually worrying me a tad….. Also, I only wash my dry hair 1X a week or even longer if possible…

clare wagner: Non professional hair care products that you can find at drug and grocery stores are made with the cheapest ingredients that build up on the hair and scalp. Professional products do cost more initially but are ultra concentrated ( don't need as much) and are made with quality ingredients. Buy pro products from any salon. Ask your stylist which products are best for you and your hair and scalp will thank you.
