Hi everyone, it's Heather, a little Burgh live today, I'm going to show you another couple of my dolls, one that you've already seen before actually and then another couple, and I'm going to show you the difference between different types of hair that I have on some of My dolls, different scalps and wigs and whatnot so first I'll I'll show you today is one of the first flies that I ever bought and she's. So cute, I think her face is by spooky kids workshop, but I can't be totally sure but she's very cute. I think he's one of the earlier ones if it is she's got it's the first doll I bought that had teeth but they're painted on. I didn't know the difference at the time that you could have them painted on or that there are actually some of them are carved, and some of them are polymer clay, but this one actually has the painted teeth. I changed it quite a lot. I thought she put her on a pure nemo as body. I think it's a size, small and she's got synthetic hair. I actually changed her Scott. Remember what scalp she had that I changed it to a synthetic Scout, because I really liked the red-haired dolls and I really wanted a red-haired doll. I actually did have one small pinky red than this one, but I thought that she would look cute with red hair. So that's the first stop. The second doll is this one that I bought quite recently from eBay and she's got a beautiful face. Oh she's, so pretty she has very mild looking makeup, very sort of light, pink lips and sort of drawn on lashes and she's got to sort of what I would call realistic. Looking I chipped and they were all the same color. So she looks quite realistic she's. So pretty now she actually came with a different wig on, but I put put this one I'll ask you my daughter picked him put this one on. So that's a wig. Now I really do not like wigs but I'll go into that in a moment. So that's the second doll and then the third eye which you've seen already this gorgeous little one who's got a who's got a scalp on and she's got a WestEd scowler sown with a weft. So basically, just this was to introduce you to the different types of hair that are available for Blythe dolls. So this one was showing you the just a synthetic normal scalp and synthetic is the type that you would normally get with a doll when it comes from directly from the factory, whether it's a factory doll or whether it's one directly from Takara. Whether it's you know from a box of proper official reliefs and it's it's a it's a rooted scalp, so it's quite durable and they they come in different sort of qualities, really some of them tangle quite easily, and some of them seem to be softer. Certainly, the original released all seemed to have much better quality hair, sometimes some of them. When you get the factory dolls on ebay, they can be a bit greasy and look a bit unkempt. Sometimes they do need a bit of care. So that's the synthetic one, and this is what it looks like if you take it off. This is a synthetic scalp on a dome which I had removed from a doll. This is pink. As you know, I like pink haired dolls, so you can. Obviously, you can remove them if you want to do if you have the courage to do that, you can change them so that you can change the look of some of the dolls, and this is a. I think this is actually an original from an original release. Doll cause, I can't remember the name of the release. It'S the one with a Mac, a little she's got a little dress and a Mac on anyway. So this is, this is one from then you can see inside that's very tightly sewn in their sort of looped and sewn. So it's that's not coming out, so you can actually brush them and you know they're good quality, but they are synthetic. So you they don't. They, while they look very cute on the dot they're, not as realistic as some of the hairs that you can get. So that's the synthetic sort. I know a lot of my dolls do have the sympathy, but I'm sort of moving towards the the natural fibers for dolls, because I just I just prefer them. I just love that natural look and I think they're so you're, so soft and touchable. I really like that, but obviously it's not as not as durable, so this dolly here I bought on eBay and that's her wig. I can't even put it on top of us. You just stay on this one does and that lets you. You can get some absolutely fantastic weeks on the market. So if you like to change out the look of your doll, a lot you can, you can get a doll. It just has a Chinese sort of dome, so the scalps already there this one's quite this is sort of rubbery, but quite quite hard and - and you can literally just buy wigs of different types like this one is it's got like an elasticated fabric ease. You know, and you literally just pop them onto your doll and you can change them out frequently now the problem is, I don't like wigs because they fall off me and it bugs me because then you're constantly readjusting them. So it's not my sort of thing. I think this one looks really nice. It'S very good quality wig. It'S just not my kind of thing. So, while she's got this as a temporary measure, I do actually intend to change her hair for a scalp. So I've ordered one online which I think will be lovely, which is a wefted scalp. So and that's like an on this dolly here, but obviously you can actually get natural fiber wigs as well like this one here, which is from a lady on ebay. She makes them quite regularly this one's in duck. Egg, blue and she'd tell me, which way, so she puts a little description of how to get more. I'M not gon na be able to do this. Come on. Camera obviously use these pages once you've got a few of these, because when she started to mate, then I wanted one in every color, so I did buy quite a few of them now. These are really far out and absolutely love these they're. So cute I mean look at the difference there. What a different look you get! It'S absolutely gorgeous they're, so cute they're, really fluffy and I love the fact that it's a natural fibre. So it looks it looks really cute and it's such a good look. But it's still a wig and it just dried me crackers, so I don't really use them very often, but that's an option if you wanted to change the look of your doll on a regular basis and what you could do is get a scout. This is one from cool cat, which is just a basic with the scalp. What you can do is find out the which is the front, and I have no idea so make sure when you fit it onto your doll. You know which, which way it goes and then you could potentially literally blew the wig on to a scalp. And then you can glue the scalp onto your doll, so it's not going to move around and it's fitted. So you don't get that annoyance of it coming off when you're trying to take pictures, which I really can't stand because it drives me crackers. So so that's an option, though, if he's you know cheap cheer focus, you can buy them for not a great deal of money and it's really easy to switch them out. You don't need any skill, because you can literally just plug them on your doll and you don't have to worry about opening your doll up now. An alternative, though the one I like best, the best sort. I think is this: so you have the knotted a knotted scalp, which is done with natural fiber like alpaca or mohair, or something like that. So you get the beautiful luxurious. Soft feel of the hair which you won't work on. He'S also got a scalp on already, but this will just give you an idea. You can see the difference. I mean that looks absolutely beautiful, cuz, it's so soft. They said tactile looks so beautiful, but it's it's rooted in by the knotting method. So it's a lot more durable and it looks absolutely fantastic. This one's been done really well and it's got plenty of hair in there. So it looks really good, so you could do you could get these, but they are expensive. You looking at you know, sort of that sort of maybe hundred and ninety pounds. Sometimes it could be even more depending on the artist that's worked on. It can be less. Obviously you can't pick up bargains, particularly on axiory ebay. Sometimes so that's my preferential type of hair and that's what I'd be moving on to with some of my dollies. So it would have started like this and then someone's very patiently sewn individual little. These are called plugs of hair effectively into the scalp and then and they're secured it down so they're, basically from that to that, but an alternative, slightly cheaper alternative and you can buy them online and I've got one coming from a seller on Etsy is to use These wefted scallops, which is basically again it's natural fibers. I think this one's mohair, where it's been done. I don't know whether you can see that that it is basically so the hair is already attached in a long strip, and you would sew that onto the scalp. So, in sort of a circular mas a circular motion I'm going to do one of these actually, so I might do that on camera, for you just for myself, I'm not selling that sort of thing, so you basically you'd sew it all the way round, or maybe Even glute glue it on, I don't know, I presume saying, would be a lot more secure and then you get the look of one of these, maybe not quite, but not quite as durable. That'S still very beautiful, this one's quite fluffy, I love her. This is one of my favorite dolls, so there you get so that's the difference between some of the different hair that I have on my dollies, I'm very versatile: you can. You can choose any type of hair. You particularly like for your dolls. Obviously some are more expensive than others, and some have different looks, but I think the versatility of Blythe dolls is what I like about them: the fact that they're so individual and you can go for any look that you like. I hope that's, been helpful anyway. I'M sorry waffling on a little bit if you've got any questions. Please pop them down in the comments below and you know, feel free to tell me your favorite type of hair or if you've got a favorite seller on Etsy that does different, wigs or or hair types. Then you know pop it down in the comments below I'd love, to see, see that and see what your opinions are, and thanks very much for joining me on little bird Blythe.
