I Bought A Wig Off Shein | Review + 10 Step Installation | Is It Worth It??

Is hey you guys hi, how you guys doing? I hope you guys are doing all good all well splendid and whatnot. So thank you guys for clicking on this video. So today i will be showing you guys how i install my wigs from start to end. So this is like the full on full process on how i install my wigs, and so i got me a sheen wig. I got me a wig off machine. This is the first time that i've ever purchased the wig off of sheen. So i just wanted to see how it is and like the reviews, i'm honestly going to give you guys my true and honest review on this wig. Okay. So let let's open this, let's open it, let's open it! So i got. I got a 24 inch. 180 density 13x4, so 13 by 4, is a frontal for those that don't know 13 by 4, frontal 4 by 4 or 5x5 or 6x6 closures. 13X4. 13X6, frontals. Okay, guys! Please please stop buying 13 by 4x1 or thirteen by six by one stop buying those buy ones. If it says thirteen by four by one or if it says thirteen x, four x, one don't get it. You want to know why? Because it's a tea lace. It'S a tea lace, wig and you don't want tea laces. We don't like tea lace, wigs, because you can't do much with a tea lace. Wig! Okay! I just wanted you guys to know that because i feel like a lot of people like. I have clients that come to me and they get 13 by four by ones and they don't realize that that's not the best way to purchase because there's not much you can work with. So keep that in mind when purchasing a wig. Okay back to reviewing the sheen wig, so it comes with the lace. You know okay, so this is a deep wave um. I don't know. I want you guys to see the lace before i customize it and do my little to it. So this is the lace. It honestly does not look bad like it honestly does not look bad at all. This is pretty good for steam quality like i. This is pretty good for seeing quality. Now i will say, though i will say the lace, does look brown good thing. I'M black girl, i'm melanated. You know so, when i put my makeup on i'll be fine, but i just don't know for those that are like really light um, how this lace will work on ya, but yeah. It came brown and honestly, i didn't pick what type of lace, because i know with different websites. You can pick like what type of lace you want, whether it's hd, whether it's translucent, whether it's a brown lace like a tinted lace. So you can pick but with sheen i didn't pick. I just i just said what um length i want what density, and that was that so yeah. This is how the hair is looking this is it dry, it's a deep wave, 24 inch, 180 density. Just it looks thin, especially towards like the end, it's getting a bit thin, but once i wet it, i'm sure it'll, look all good. So right now, the first thing that i do when it comes to installing any lace i bleach it. You got ta bleach, your lace, so what i like to use, i like to use this decolorizer and 50 developer, so this the colorizer and this developer, okay, guys! So i'm going to mix that up. You always want to put let's say a one to two ratios. So one so like one ounce of this and then like two ounces of this or one gram of this and then two grams of this. Basically, i'm not sure if it's ounces or grams, but you guys know what i mean more powder than liquid, because you don't want too much liquid. You do not want it to be runny, you want it more of a thick consistency so that it doesn't bleed through the lace. I'M gon na show you guys after i'm done, mixing these two and i'll show you guys how it looks after okay. So i just finished mixing it, and this is how it should look like this is. This is exactly how your how it should look like you see it's just thick enough, it's honestly just thick enough, so it will not bleed right through, and this is honestly, like all you need, okay, so now that we got the the colorizer on the lace. This is how it looks like yo, it's looking pretty good, it's looking pretty good. I don't like to go all the way down. I don't like to cover the whole lace, because i really feel like there's really no need to do that. What you really need to worry about, and focus on and really just stress, is the hairline and about like a few inches down when you want to do your edges and your baby hair and really just style like that area, but the whole lace, the whole actual Lace part is not necessary, so yeah. This is how it's looking and i'll keep this sitting for about for about 15 minutes 15-20 minutes and then i'm gon na wash it out with my purple shampoo and conditioner so yeah, you guys will see how it looks afterwards. All right, so that is how the lace looks after bleaching, after its processing and after i washed it with the purple shampoo and conditioners, i'm here with my mannequin head, and we are now about to pluck so after bleaching comes plucking all right. So this is too high for me. I can't really do much with this, but if it's like down here, then all right, that's good! That'S good! Don'T bring it down! So here's the wig, it's how it's looking! What i'm gon na do is put a towel. On top of it anyways, this is the same towel that i used to pick up the wig from the sink. So it's pretty damp right now, i'm gon na use that we're gon na cover the mannequin and we're gon na put our wig onto the mannequin okay. So your mannequin should look like this now you're gon na grab your tweezers. These are mine. I love these tweezers they're super elite. They get the job done every time and then you're gon na push back your hair. It'S giving very much like you can see the already hairline that they've given us. I like to create my own hairline, because this is just getting too harsh. So if you see something that looks too harsh, pluck it to give it a softer appearance, so there we go and that's what we're gon na do we're gon na plug so i'll start off i'll start off at first with the at the absolute front. One thing that i did notice about this hair is that it dries up really fast, like this hair dries up extremely fast, so i'm gon na go in with my nairobi foam lotion. If you have foam lotion, it doesn't have to be nairobi, it doesn't have to be nairobi. If you have foam lotion, you can put it on the hairline as well to pluck it. So that's what we're gon na do. Okay, so once you're all done plucking and you're all done with all of that, the next step is to put makeup on your lace, so you're going to want to put the same makeup that you would put on your foundation on your lace. You want your lace to look like your scalp, so any type of makeup that you have that resembles your skin tone. Put that on your lace. So that's what we about to do right now, i'm gon na go in with my milani. I don't use this for my foundation, but whatever it's it's something that resembles my skin tone. So i like it. This is milani 185 for those that are around my skin tone. That would like to know just a tad bit and i got me a brush. We'Re gon na damp it on and we're just gon na put it on so after you're done putting your makeup onto your lace, this is how it looks. I put it on like the back of the lace, and i put it on the front of the lace. Okay, i put it on both all right after you're done putting the makeup on you're going to want to grab your free spray. I like got to be okay, so that's what i use. I would recommend you guys using got to be on this part. Um of your wig installation. So after putting your makeup on then you're just going to spray, the freeze, spray you're gon na blow dry, the lace um after spraying, the freeze spray, so that your makeup can stay on to the lace. It'Ll. Make sure that your makeup is actually staying like onto your lace and so that it can melt nicely as you like, install the lace. So i'm telling you after you spray after you put the makeup on make sure you put your free spray onto the lace, because it will help your installation all right: okay, okay, okay, okay, okay, now that we're done prepping the wig, because that's what we were doing This whole time we've been prepping the wig, but now we're ready to install the wig. So here we go here we go here, we go. This is how i'm looking underneath my wig guys: okay yeah, i'm the one with the body with no hair underneath yep yep. I'Ve got no hair underneath my bonnet and what so i already did my bald cap method, as you guys can clearly see, but before i put this wig on, i'm just gon na put alcohol around my perimeter so that we can get all the excess oil off. Oh yeah, this is my my alcohol. We want to get all of the excess oils off and we also want to get any makeup. Any makeup residue, any makeup residue that i have left over from um, putting the makeup onto the lace but yeah you see makeup. Just mad makeup, so you want to make sure because um the more that you go in with the alcohol and you're cleaning the surface, the more durable your installation is and the longer it lasts. So i would recommend you go in with the alcohol and just clean that perimeter, because girl, you're gon na need it to be clean. Okay and i'm just gon na i'm gon na go back in i'm just gon na go back in with my alcohol and clean. My perimeter again just so that we are all set and just to make sure that we are all on the same page, because i don't got time for my hairline to be acting up as i'm trying to put on this wig. That'S what we don't got. We don't got time boom. Now we got the wig we're just gon na pop it on okay, oh okay, see like do you guys see what i'm talking about like? This is definitely what is it? Let me not hate if it's 24 inches if it's 24 inches, then okay, but it ain't, no 180 density. That'S that's what i know so now. What you want to do, let me back up son, is get the wig exactly how you would like it and cut any excess lace. Apparently i got a small head. So what we're going to do is cut excess lace, so yeah it's going to go in this is a pretty big wig, though i got a small head and then we're just gon na cut. Okay. So now that you have your wig adjusted the way that you would like it and the way you want your wig to actually sit now you're going to just scoot it all the way back up and get your glue okay. So i have these two. I use bold, hold the pink one and then i use just a stick and i go in i'm outside in okay. This is my fourth layer that i'm putting on to my hairline now um. I don't like to do too much. Maybe three or four is good, but i wanted to do four this time, so yeah four's valid okay. So you don't want the glue to dry completely completely. You don't want to wait too long. So now i'm going to put it down so: okay, okay, uh. All right, but so yeah. So this is how it's looking right, all right, so now you're going to want to make slits in your lace so that it's easier to cut my um advice to those that are cutting lace for the first time or don't know how to cut lace or has Been cutting lace for a while. My best advice is to not cut too much lace. You don't ever want to cut too much lace. Yeah, i'm telling you because then, when you're going back to re-wear the wig, you don't have much to work with. So you don't want to cut too much lace: okay, guys all right! Okay, all righty, all right! So it's been about time, okay, so this is how it's looking and now we're about to go ahead and do the edges hey guys? Okay, so this is how i'm looking after doing my edges, um, the hair honestly looks so good with like water honestly, i just feel like you're gon na have to keep on watering it down or put any products in it, but um. It looks really good. I, like the hair, the only thing is: it's thin. That'S really, that's really what it is, it's just thin other than that it looks really good and it feels good. It didn't have a smell to it and the lace um. The the knots took the bleach really really well so yeah. I really feel like this is a really good wig for those that um are beginners and just want to try um new wigs out. Try sheen, like you, you'll, probably like it, but um yeah, guys, i'm gon na start selling my own hair and my own wigs, and it is so much better. Quality in quality is definitely sheen quality.
