Using Blue Black Dye to get the prettiest Silver hair ➡️

#blueblack #silverhair #hairmagic

Products used:

Keune 1.1 Blue black dye + 10 volume developer

Mixed in equal parts (50g + 50g)

Final mixture was then diluted with water and then placed in the basin filled with even more water.

Wig: https://www.perfectlacewig.com/pre-plu...

Wig was dunked fully into the basin and left for no more than 10 minutes. The longer the hair is left in, the darker and more processed the color gets. This applies for all hair dyes.

Make sure your bath has no dye clumps as these will adhere to the hair and stain it further.

Wig was taken out of the bath, washed, conditioned and left to try.

Today, we're choosing the system. Five years ago I released a video where I cut some bangs on this very, very pretty wig. Now the video did very very well, and you guys absolutely loved it, but one of the most recurring comments that I received on that video was: how did I get that insane hair color this gorgeous powder, blue minty, color that I had now? The funny thing is that, at the time I didn't film it funnier thing is that I didn't even realize that I broke every single hairdressing rule to get that color, because I got that very specific baby blue powder, blue color from the very darkest hair pigment that We have black today, I'm going to teach you how to get it. So one of the things that we are taught as stylists is a set of rules that every single hairstylist has to follow, and it is with these rules that we are then able to analyze and work out how we're going to get to the end stage of Whatever it is we're after, but once you kind of learn all the rules, you can technically break them as you wish so long. As you know, what the end outcome is going to be now, it appears that at five years ago I was light years ahead of myself now, because I just I did this pact without even so much as batting an Irish. In my mind I was like, I think this is gon na work and it absolutely today we're going to be using a black hair dye to get this blonde wig to a baby, blue hair, color or silver, or any Ash. Color literally we're just aiming for a cool color. How exactly does that work? This is a two permanent hair dye. This one right here is by Q. This one is actually a drugstore color. It is a good brand and for it being a drugstore color. It looks good now this is technically black, but it's the correct term is actually blue black. What that means is that, while the color is literally a level one shade, which means that it virtually has no lightness to it, it tends to reflect on a blue scale. It has a blue sheen that when you pass sunlight through it light through it, it picks up a gorgeous blue black. Almost Shimmer, hair colors are made up of their depth pigment and then their tone of pigment, the depth or the shade range refers to how dark a hair color can get dye ranges from Level 1, which is darkest. It is black to a level 10 which is lightest at blonde, but then you can add in virtually any other tone after that and the secondary and tertiary numbers after that. In this case, this is 1.1 refers to then what shade is given to it point. One is typically an ash, so we know from that concept that this is a level one depth or darkness and a level one in terms of tonality, referring to it having an ash or a blue pigment. Today, we're going to miraculously ignore the first half of this equation and focus only on the blue range and I'm going to show you exactly how to do it. Now. This video can get a little bit stressful because we are working with notoriously the most difficult hair pigment we could work with. That is why today's sponsor is so amazing. Today'S sponsor is match Masters an incredibly fun and captivating mobile game that allows you to pass the time, relax and calm down before I particularly exciting hair transformation. It is incredibly fun to play against your friends or your family or, if you're, on a first date. It is something amazing to help break the ice. I urge you to download the game if you want to disconnect a bit or if you want to play something fun and something that gets you hooked, but doesn't require a lot of thinking and is incredibly stress-free. Matchmasters are making it also even more exciting because they are giving away 10 200 Amazon gift cards, download matchmasters from the link below or the QR code on the screen, collect 50 stars and have a chance of winning it by downloading matchmasters. You are directly supporting my YouTube channel, so thank you download it play a little bit before we get right into this incredibly nerve-wracking, but unpaired transformation, a lost such a pleasant smell. Oh my God. It'S also really weird. I'M gon na use the whole tube. This was 53 grams, so we're adding an equal 53 grams of developer. You need developer to activate it. It'S so pearlescent! Oh my God! Now we're actually going to let this oxidize a bit, so we can see the pigment actually come through. While we do that, I'm gon na pop on this way - just so I can have a fun before and after portion anyways we're gon na dye, her black jump, it's a joke. Okay, now I have to move you to the basin hi we're at my base in um. You can do this anywhere. A tub that you don't really care about would work perfectly as sink your actual bathtub, but today I'm using my basin because I have it. Here'S our die it's already starting to oxidize. You can see it's no longer beigey, it's more silvery in color, and this is, as you can see, that Ash quality that we were on about we're going to dilute it with a ton of water. All right. Look how pretty oh, my God now we're gon na fill up our date with water dilute or Dye in it. I am using my whisk to beat out any chunks of dye because chunks tend to like to stick to hair chunks and make the hair color uneven and now, for the fun part, we're going to grab our wig and we're going to submerge her completely. All at once, more like a silvery but anyways we're going to let her sit or marinate in our dye soup for a little bit. These types of permanent dyes do actually need time to actually oxidize, but we're not going to let her oxidize fully we're literally going to let her oxidize until we see that the color is blue enough, but not black, obviously whoops the blue smudge. Already there you go, there was a chunk. That is why it's already black, because there was a chunk, I'm going to just kind of monitor this, because it can't get dark very quickly and then we're also going to need to shampoo her. It might actually turn just silvery more than a powdery blue. It'S been literally two minutes, it's already looking very silvery, okay, guys, it's not going to be powder, blue. What I do marinate my hair. Okay, that's it! Now! We have to shampoo it really good to stop the process, because this will turn black. It wants to turn black we're gon na. Stop it turning black okay team to wash it off, we're again using just a shampoo bath method when washing wigs, because they are very delicate and usually extremely expensive, use a shampoo bath method where you fill up the shampoo first in the Basin, and then you dunk, Your wig in it don't be rubbing at it we're going to stop the hair dye process. You can see there's still all that dye stuck on it and also wash the diagram of the hair, but look at all this blue pigment, the roots are still looking quite golden. I don't mind it because I'm trying to experiment a little more with mixing Silvers and gold, but realistically you could always just go over the roots directly or you just leave it in longer, but I kind of like it so now. The goal is just to stop the reaction and stop it from turning black foreign. The best hair mask for wigs. I don't know why it just is I'm almost out, though blue, and here is our beautiful, not blonde. Definitely not black gunmetal gray wig, I'm gon na. Let this dry for a while, because I don't like applying heat on the wet wig I like to just let it air dry and then we're going to see truly what the color looks like in studio lighting. So so far, science, all right I'll, see you a few hours later. Are we ready to see her? Oh, my God ignore the state that she's in I had to dry it under my air conditioning unit hung upside down so she's frizzy and dry. Okay, but that's not the Judgment here - this is the hair color that we have. It is the most beautiful gray that we got from black blue black permanent pigment that you know that notoriously difficult pigment we got her. However, I can feel you judging her very very harshly, so I'm gon na go ahead glue this on and I'm gon na style her and then I'm gon na come back and show you the very finished result because she deserves it. But, oh my God am I happy. This is probably one of my absolute favorite ways to dye hair very very quickly. I don't know that it would work on a living person because you'd have to dunk their whole head in the Basin because it does act very quickly. Otherwise, but nonetheless, if you're in a pinch - and you need gray dye or whatever color dye, and you only have permanent color, let me glue her on okay, I'm halfway through styling this wig and I'm thinking to myself. Could it be cute? This is what the wig actually looks like at the moment. This was my butterfly hot wig, so it's got a very kind of choppy haircut and I'm like holy [, __ ], a shag lob like layers and loose bits would be so cute, so I'm making it clear. This is not educational. This is probably going to be the worst technical haircut ever, but it is going to look cute because I want to make sure of it. Just don't follow it yourself, I'm going to try not to cut a single piece of hair like that. I really really want it to be a shag cut. I really don't feel like there being any straight edges anywhere, so highly. Don'T recommend doing this on yourself, highly recommend it. So I do love the front and I don't want to touch it with the price yeah. Not really the issue you have to talk to the local Jones, although I won't even tell us when you can share with us, it means we're on the right track. I'D like another crack at the beach doctor. Second time Focus: now you really got ta want to die to do it. This is why I love hair, specifically, here's hair styling. Let me I want to switch off my air conditioning just so. Everyone can hear what I'm going to say to be good at hairdressing. To be good at hair styling, there are a set of rules that you have to follow, whether you're doing it on yourself or whether you're doing it on a client, but to be a great hairdresser. You can then use those rules to break them to get incredible results. This hair color, I got from using blue black dye level. One. This thing should have been midnight blue, pitch back low and if I let it oxidize and process for the amount of time that was written on the sheet, I would have gotten exactly what was promised it would have delivered. And if you're willing to experiment, you can get something incredible and you can just take bits and pieces of what the product has to offer you and use only those. In this case, I knew that blue black, as a Dye, is made up of really really dark. Pigments, but also is made up of blue pigments of silver pigments to add that blue black quality to the die, and I knew that if I didn't let it process for the perfectly educated amount of time, it will give me a much much lighter more diluted. Version of the end, color beautiful silver gray, and I also cut the hair and probably the most unhinged way possible, this kind of Shaggy. It flows, it's nothing choppy. It conveys it's like an unserious person and with the banks, it's giving character like video game character. I will say one thing: disclaimer, the very first time I did exactly this. I used a completely different brand of dye and the end. Color wasn't a silver color. It was a powder blue color. This time I used a different brand and it gave me a silver color. I was satisfied with both of them. I was just aiming for an ashy blue color, but it is one of the things that be aware of it. Not all dies are going to perform exactly the same. However, each one is going to have a similar concept. You can do this with a super dark red. If you want a very light pink, you can do this with a very, very Vivid, copper. If you want the slightest hint of a peach - and you could do this with every shade of dye, that is much darker. If you want a lighter version of that, color only do this. If you want to experiment also, it is the easiest to do it. On a wig or extensions just because it's pretty difficult to dunk your entire head into a bucket of something, this only works because your flying to die all at once. If you were to do a section by section, it would process at different times and you would get a very uneven result. You'Re welcome. I am going to be linking all of the products down below. However, everything that I used minus the wig was drugstore or very easily achievable. You can get everything off of Amazon, get a good pair of gloves and get yourself a box or a top that you don't really care about, but I'm also going to be linking a match. Masters download it play and win everything's going to be down there or you can do it from the QR code on the screen. If you haven't already subscribe to the channel, join the Stellar fam, let's learn a thing or two together, and I hope you enjoyed this video. I hope you'll give it ago, and I will see you in my next video bye, peepees

Hind Himdi: I love how honest Stella always always is with her videos and processes. By now it's obvious that a lot of creators change parts of their videos to make it seem like the process turned out how they predicted it, while the truth is it might have been a different outcome than the theory they initially started out with. Stella is always honest about what she is going to do, and if the result is different, she still gives her opinion on it and keeps it for us to see. She could've easily changed herself saying silver hair in the beginning instead of minty/powder blue for it to not look like she promised something and then did something else. I really love her creative force and for always sharing her honest content.

Clary Fairchild: Can we have a series of doing hair dyes like this but with other colours and other brands pleaseeee? This was so cool❤

cañete H: Out of all your videos, this one might become my all times favorite! Your "excited hair scientist" energy is translating perfectly and it's pure joy to watch

Mattar: I feel like this would also work using a semi permanent blue black and diluting it with white conditioner. But like using the absolute tiniest amount of black hair dye

The Sim Architect: You can probably ombré with this technique by lowering the wig or the tips of your hair a little bit every 10 ~ 60 seconds (or however long you feel would be suitable). Yes, the tips would be darker in this case, so it's useful for dark ombré, unless you do it with bleach...

Becky Louise smith: I'm about to dye my hair pink at the top and purple at the ends, pink purple ombre!I love getting inspired by your videos, you're like a hairdye fairy godmother I love you!

Ioana Curt: Great video! Love to see creative ways of using dyes i'm curious how it would come up if you mix a dash of black with clear and maybe a bit of blue/purple.

Megan Hansen: I learned so much during this video regarding the tone scale! I just lightened my hair again and mixed mushroom blonde and neutral gold blonde!

nostalgic tunes: Dear Stella, thank you so much for your fun, educational and kind videos! You are such an inspiration, because you bring such light with your creativity and just your positive attitude! ... So especially with this videos topic i really thought it seemed the best to maybe ask you a question regarding the blueblack permanent haircolor and possibilities of toning with it?.. Would it be in any way possible also with it to tone/remove brassy tone in the brown light or dark hair? I am an absolute beginner with tonners, but i like to experiment with different brown hairdyes and until now every single color turned out on me without cool undertone, even all the ashy dyes or even if i actually liked the color it turned a little to dark. I`ve managed to fix it with makeup, but now im really just interested to find that perfect color of my own... i just really love to experiment and dye my own hair, its just my therapy, so that why also :) If you maybe have an idea about this topic i would love to hear it! Really just all the best! <3 Thank you... taaake care! <3 :)

Warrior of Light: Watching this while my natural hair is already silver. Wonderful job, Stella ❤️

Daga Negra: I was inspired by the ending in which you say that if you applied it manually, it wouldn't be possible... Could you try creating different colors, using the same product and letting it oxidize for different times? It would be very interesting to see

Amanda Noelle: I really enjoyed this tutorial, as well as your others. My only concern is that I really didn't like the warm tone roots? I feel like a cool shadow root would've looked better. I'm not a professional, but just my thought. I really enjoy your creativity.

Jennifer Higginson: Stella I love your hair videos they've really inspired me a lot you do a really good job I love what you did in this video ❤️ It would mean so much If I could get a reply or anything lots of love thank you so much

Nyx: Yesterday I was thinking about dyeing my hair gray and today you post this video, it is a sign. Thanks ❤

JenRenePhoto: Love the education about the numbers when it comes to dye! I always wondered what those meant.

Kelley Higgins: Ahh I've done the same thing to my hair, but using Arctic Fox's semi-permanent black dye (shade: Transylvania). I diluted it like 1:20 in conditioner, and used it as a weekly mask to keep my level ~8/9 hair nice and silvery. Seriously one of my favourite hair colours to maintain, and so so fun

tudorandrei25: It works on people too my hair teacher did this on me when I wanted to go from platinum to metal grey. She mixed the dye with conditioner

SUMIT TIWARI: Stella always delivers. There is no doubt in my mind

rt23ap: You are absolutely stunning! Your videos are always so entertaining ♡

Stephanie Jack: Love the haircut I’ve been having trouble with what haircut I want to get for my hair appointment in about 2 weeks and I think I may or may not have found the perfect haircut

Clint Denman: Crazy that Keune is a drugstore brand there. It's a professional brand where I live. We use it in our salon. I love Keune!!!

Verena: I used to have blue black hair! Even used that specific brand and color you used. Funny thing but that brand is being used in hair salons here and not considered a drug store brand at all.

Bruna Celeghini: A hair scientist. Love your experiments!! It inspires me so much

Keziah Agius: I love silver Hair Had that colour once and loved it. You're amazing Stella ❤️

Rosario Saenz: I have my hair as short as your hair right now. I'm considering buying myself a wig. Can you do wig reviews to see which wigs are better and which ones are not ?

Catherine Logan: I love ❤your current hair colour and style Stella. You look beautiful.

HAIRKINGCALLUM: Diluting permanent hair dye with water will always make the depth lighter as that hair dye will no longer be a level 1 If someone were to do this on there hair - with different porosity’s - it’s a recipe for disaster as the colour would grab differently in those areas ❤

Livashnee Pillay: Love you stella and thank you for giving us your all ❤️❤️❤️

Kira Haas: Me sitting here, watching this and having pretty much the exact same haircut & colour (just a hint lighter) that the wig ended up with :D

Yara ****: Well it’s not mint green…. However it did come out really nice… Great idea Stella

Natasha Gates: I get been using this trick way before silver hair thing wads trend. I was able to make my blonde hair turn white in high school and nobody knew how. I just put a drop of blue black into my conditioner & shampoo with a bit of 10V. Boom. 1995

Jlo$good: Very pretty color, seen many videos with the sliver hair dyes. I have to say Im not to crazy about it on you. Its just I like brighter colors on you.

jdc1lovelylady: I thought this was gonna be using already dyed hair turning it silver. I have permanent black in my hair and I wanna dye my hair pink. I know I will eventually bleach my hair but I’m trying to remove as much of the black as possible I used vitamins c and dandruff shampoo 3 times two weeks in a row it lift slightly but only around the Perimeter of my hair to a dark brown

Randa Refaai: I want a lot of episodes like this oneeee

Kassy K: Plz i’m begging you stella, can you do the same with a very dark violine (like blue black but purple black) and see if you can get a different shade of silver ?

AutomaticHumanoid28: Blows my mind that Keune for you is a drugstore product. Australia it’s a professional only colour brand.

Tania Jansen: Absolutely beautiful colour and cut

Supercesar 1979: OMG! That can be done at a decolorated brunette hair with orange tone and dark tone too? Thanks a lot!!

Hah: Oh ok now i get why my hair dye is becoming grey, blue black didn't last not even 3 months lol

c.◇: I love your vids stella would you ever do another piercing changing video?

nefertiti1052: this is exactly how i cut my hair xD

Shakira Smylie: She is so amazing and sweet person and talented doing hair

Squaarblush: Would this work with bleach or does it only work with dyes?

Ast Az: does it work on darker hair tho ? i mean the initial color

Lolofunslayer: The cut is really cute.

Sarah Khan: uufffffffffffffff stella u look so dope in this hairstyle in ur intro i love u

Donna: Love it x

Ioana Maria: Stella : don't follow the tutorial Me: hmm

paula_ mckl: Was I the only one thinking that she totally looked like Miley Cyrus for a second when she put on that blonde wig for the first time? (5:03)

torquoise angelfox: I want so much to have silver hair...

Kawaii Coelhoposa: Sucesso pra ti!

Rebecca Sheraton: Beautiful

Audriana Serrato: Can u do it with a black purple

N_ J: Me too playing match master, I wanna try to play with you Stella

Floweric Poption: Does the water temperature matter?

Екатерина Петренко: ❤️‍

Robin_loves_kpop: Hey, how do I get stars in the game...
