Hey y'all, it's Toya and thank you for watching Toya JTV. Today, I'm going to do a highly requested video and this is how to do a u-part wig and it is very beginner friendly. First we're going to start with the supplies that you'll need. I use three bundles of hair. This is 14 16 and 18 inch because I wanted to give a naturally layered look. I am going to cut it some, but um you don't have to. If you don't want to so I did three bundles you're going to need a glue gun and some glue sticks be sure you get. The fabric sticks, you're, also going to need a dome cap and I'll explain all of this later and I'll include everything in detail. In the caption in the video but you're going to need a dog cap, and then I also got some Gorilla Glue, frap fabric glue just in case, but you may or may not need this. I just got it just because I saw it and I needed something as a backup, also you're, going to need some shampoo and conditioner I'm using the braiding extensions collection, shampoo and conditioner, because I'm going to be shampooing and conditioning the hair first. So this is what I will be using and again it's from the Baio Jones braid and extension collection. I like to shampoo and condition the hair first, which is what I'm doing here. It just makes the hair feel much better. It gets any residue or anything off of the hair, because you know this hair travels from a long way and I don't know how many hands it has been through. So I like to make sure it is squeaky clean before I put it in my head. So I am using the refresh deep cleansing shampoo, which is in the by L Jones collection, from the braiding extensions line, and I just shampoo twice or three times and then I just rinse it I'm using pretty hot water. When I shampoo this because again, I want it to be thoroughly cleansed and normally when the hair does not lather very well the first time, then it just needs to be shampooed again because the dirtier the hair, then the less it will lather. So I just kind of shampoo: until I see a very good lather, then I know it's clean, then I go behind that with the condition and this uh conditioner I just again. I run it through the hair and then I rinse it. I'M rinsing this with cool water and I'm using the nourish deep conditioner, which is also in the braiding extensions collection. Then I set the hair up under a dryer to completely dry, so I am already starting with my hair braided down and I have my leave out. So that's what you're going to do, you're going to go ahead and prep your hair, get it braided down you're literally going to leave a? U around your leave out and it doesn't matter what side you wear your leave out on! It'S whatever is your preference. I like to wear mine on the left, so that's why I have mine on this side, if you like to wear it in the middle, do it in the middle, if you like, to wear it on the right, do it on the right? Okay, I like pretty much a deep part, so my part is going to go like about right here and this is going to cover okay. So I have my hair braided down. Here'S the back foreign and what I'm going to do now is put my cap on this is just you know the Dome cap that I showed you this one, I'm gon na link. If you don't want to go to your beauty, supply store, I'm gon na link. Some stuff on Amazon, but when you are getting a dome cap, do not I don't care how big your head is. Do not get the extra large okay because you kind of want to get a size smaller than you need simply because when you cut it, where your part is going to be, when you cut that? U out, the cap is going to become much looser and you don't want the Dome cap to go over your ears. Okay, you want to stop above your ears. If you get a very large cap, it's going to cover your ears too far, and it's going to come down on your nape too far, and it's it's going to irritate you trust me. So don't do that you want to get you want to get a cap that you think is too small for you and that's going to end up being perfect, because it's going to stop right at your hairline in the back and it's going to start right. Above your ears, which is where you want it to stop in the front at this point, what I'm going to do is bring this leave out kind of to the front, and you are going to do your guide on your out on your um cap. So you want to put the cap on and you got to remember how you put you got to remember how you put the cap on because uh, wherever you put your part, that's where you know you're going to be putting the hair so um. I typically like to take mine on and off just to make sure it's fitting correctly, but it's very hard for me to make it while it's on my head, so I'm gon na take it off, but again I like to take it off. Put it on. Take it I'll put it on, but you have to make sure that you're, you know putting it on the exact same way. Every time one guy I have the the tag is in the back, so I just make sure that is right on my nape. Also in the front there's these two - I kind of use this as my guide these two little things here and this is gon na - be like right here in the front. So I know if that's centered, then I have it on correctly all right, so we're gon na go ahead and put this on and again I'm combing my leave out to the front foreign see how this is sitting literally right above my ear and in the back Is right at my hairline it's right at my hairline, that's perfect! So the reason why you have this out is because you're gon na draw going right where you have right here. You'Re gon na draw right there. So you'll know you don't want to put any hair there. You can use a white um eyeliner pencil. If you have one they have them at the beauty supply store. If you don't have one child get one of your children, white crayons, you just got ta be resourceful. Where I have my leg up, because if you don't do this um you may you may put hair up too high and you you know, you may have too much leave out or you may not put it far back enough. It'S just you don't want to skip this step and again this crayon is a little harder to use, but you can see it have got it outlined and going all the way around. My part, all right now we're going to go ahead and do the construction. So I'm going to take it off and you're going to also need a um, styrofoam mannequin head. That'S what I'm going to be using mine on so now we'll get started with the actual construction of the wig. So, as you can see, you can see where I'm gon na be the? U in the part. You can see that very well, because I have outlined it with the white crayon again. You can also use a white eyebrow pencil either. One is fine. You just want to be able to see it very well and then I'm going to take my glue gun and I'm going to put it on low, because when you're using the fabric sticks, it recommends that you use it on low I'm, starting with one bundle of Hair and I'm going to start at the very back and just work my way around, so all I'm doing is I'm going to be gluing the track to the cap. Okay and I'm going to be going section by section and I'm going to start off going very slowly, so you can see exactly how I do it and I actually was using the wrong glue. Sticks on my last wig, which I paid for dearly. But so I still have a little bit of the white glue coming out of here. So just ignore that but you'll start seeing once I get it deep off in the wig or really on the next track, that the glue was going to be black. But your glue should be black. Okay, the fabric glue works much better, so all I'm doing is gluing onto the track and this glue dries very quickly. So you don't want to. You may not be able to put glue on the entire length of the track at one time. I normally go in like small sections and then I'll glue it. It only takes like a few seconds before it dries once it dries. It'S actually stuck to the material, and then I work my way that way, so I'm just going to be going section by section and I'm just adding a little bit of glue at a time and then before it gets a chance to dry. I'M sticking it on to the Dome cap. Okay and, like I said you just need to hold it for just a few seconds before it dries. It doesn't take long at all to dry. That'S why I love using a glue gun. So when I get to the very end of the track, I'm not going to cut the track, I'm just going to put a teeny drop of glue right in that crease and I'm just going to fold it over and I'm going to glue going the opposite direction. Okay, so I'm not cutting any of these tracks, I'm simply Crossing it over and then I am going the opposite way with the track and so right now I'm just going a little bit faster, but I'm doing the same exact thing just over and over I'm going Side to side and when I get to the very end, I'm putting glue directly in the end and I'm folding it over okay, so I'm just going track by track again very simple. This is very easy to do. All you do is just put a little bit of glue on at a time, and then you hold it onto the Dome cap until it's dry. You definitely want to make sure that you are sticking the hair onto the Dome cap before the glue gets cold. If the glue gets cold, then it's not going to stick to the cap at all and at this point I'm almost running out of room on the left side and that's simply because that's the side that my part is going to be on. So I'm going to go to the opposite side, where there is a lot more space left and I'm just going to go side by side again. But I'm going to go in this direction until I get just a little bit more room left on this side and then I'll start back going all the way across if that makes sense. So basically, at this point, I'm going to be going um filling in all of this area that is left on this on the left on the right side, I'm going to be filling in most of that area and then once I only have a little bit of Hair left, then, I'm going to start back going all around the head at this point. I just want to take the hair off and kind of see exactly what it's looking like. Okay, so I'm liking, how that's looking it's looking very full and I'm liking? How it's looking so I know I am definitely on the right track, so it is definitely okay to take the hair off of your mannequin head to see how the progress is going now, I'm going to start back going and I'm going to start in the exact Same spot, where the the last bundle of hair stops. So I'm on my second bundle at this point. Well, I'm on my third bundle. So I'm going to be going directly diagonal across to fill up that big gap on my right side and then once I get about two inches, which is what I have on the left side, then I'll start going all the way around again. Also, one tip is: if you want a very full look, then you want to space the tracks very close together. You really don't want any space. You want to basically put the tracks right on top of each other. If you want a very full look, if you do not want a full look um, then you would put like at least one finger with space in between each track, so the width of one of your fingers, you can put that much space in between tracks. If you don't want a very full look, there's also a reason why I needed three bundles of hair, instead of only using two, because I like, like I said I like a very full look, especially when I'm doing a longer look, you can get away with a Less full look when you are doing um shorter hair, but for long hair you want to try to try to space them together right here, you can see that I'm getting just about the same amount of hair left out on both sides of the hair - and this Is all of the hair I have left so I'm probably gon na have to go, find just a little bit more hair um before I get done, but as you can see, I'm almost done and I I almost have the exact amount of hair, but I think I'M gon na need at least one more track of hair, not even a full bundle, just one track until I get completely done, because you want to kind of end on the outline okay and once you end on the outline, then that's where you'll cut. So this little bitty piece right here, I think I want to cut it and put it on the other side, because that length right there will be perfect right here and then I just need a couple of tracks to fill in on my right side. So I've went and found a little bit more hair and that little bit of hair that I just found. That'S all I'm gon na need for the right side, but that little piece right here. That'S what I'm going to be putting on my left side, and so now I'm done with that side and then this hair right here, I'm Gon na Fill In And, like I said all I needed is one more little track, but I always have extra hair laying Around, but if you want to avoid that problem, just put a little bit more space in between your tracks, if you you know if you're scared, you're going to run out of hair, so now this is perfect. Okay, I could put one more track here, but I think I'm good, because the outline is pretty much right there now. All I need to do is cut so I'm just going to cut the part out where I have my outline. I'M just going to cut that part out and since you've already glued the hair, it's gon na stay fully constructed. Okay, so just go ahead and cut that out like that and then I'm gon na try it on at this point. One thing I will say do not get these clips that you see here, because I actually took these out um these clips to me. They pull on the hair a little bit more than I like, and I normally use the Combs. But I thought I would try something different this time and I learned my lesson very quickly, but I do not like these clips. If you like these, if you've had these clips before and you like them, you can use them, but I took these clips out like right after I use it for the first time. So now I'm just gon na put her on and then I'll flat on it and you know style it while it's on my head, so overall I love the fit. The cap was perfect, so be sure to always go with a smaller cap than what you think you need, because if I would have got that extra large, it would have been all over my ears. It would have been back here on the back of my neck. It sits perfectly so now we're going to go ahead and flat iron. I think I'm just going to do it straight today, since I love me some straight hair and I'm using the toy Primo flat iron, and I have it on 480 - that's the highest that it will go, but I'm only using 480 on the weave. When I get to my leave out, I'm going to reduce the heat to about 435. So now I have the actual wig hair flat iron and I'm just going to flat iron, my real hair now and I'm just putting my part exactly where I want it to be, which is perfect about right here and then I'm just gon na blend that in So I've cut my heat down to about 4 30. and I'm only doing one pass with my real hair uh. Have it all straightened and I am loving the results? Loving, the results. Only thing I'm going to do is add a little satin, moisture cream. Just a tiny drop to my Lego - and I probably will not put makeup on today, just because just don't feel about it. My hair took forever okay. It took all the makeup energy that I had in me, so it's gon na be bare face today, but I hope you guys enjoyed this video be sure to like comment and subscribe if you haven't already and when you make your YouPorn wigs, be sure to tag Me so I can see your final results also just a few tips. You don't have to get hair this long. I just wanted to give you um the blueprint on how to do it. If you want to do shorter hair, you can, if you want to do longer, hair you can, if you want to do this one it's up totally up to you, but now you have the basics on how to make it, and I did not really cut this Hair at all, the only thing I cut was that extra hair that I had to add up here was very long and all I did was just Blended that in I have not done anything else to this hair, I probably will layer it later, but that's an Advanced step it you know with this part, you know how to do it and um it can be curled. It can be straightened. You can do anything with this hair that you, like so again hope you all enjoyed this video and I will see you all next time talk to y'all later bye,

Ten99: This is perfect. Thanks for sharing
