Hey guys welcome back to my channel today we're going to be making a u-part wig with a lace closure. So that's going to be a full wig, we're using three packs of hair from o wigs the silky curly texture. It'S going to be a 14 16 and 18, including the lace closure. Here we have the tools that we're going to use. We have some large wig clips and combs some color corrector mixing bowl for our bleach needle and thread and a weaving net cap, and i prefer these to the spandex caps here. I'M mixing the bleach and the developer to prepare the lace closure to be bleached to bleach the knots. Now we realized that the closure had already been processed. This hair is not virgin hair, so um. This attempt really was not successful. You can't lift um processed hair unless you lift the color, that's already on it. There are a lot of videos out here on youtube that show you how to lift color on processed hair so that you can bleach the knots um. Our process was unsuccessful because, like i said, the hair was processed, but i decided to go ahead and include this in the video for those of you who want to know how to bleach the knots on your lace closure. So these are the steps that i did and i'm just mixing it making sure that it's consistency that i needed to be you don't want it to be too runny here, i'm putting color corrector. This is red gold, color corrector! You can purchase this at sally's beauty supply and i'm going to put a few drops in there and it's going to turn the mixture purple and i think i put about 10 drops in there. I can't remember exactly and what this does is. It keeps the lace closure from being too brassy and too orange and it keeps it from not looking natural, so i'm just mixing in mixing it up and i'm sorry with the lighting. You can't really see the color, but it does turn it purple and we're just going to set that aside and we're going to let that color corrector process until that bleach turns back white. While i'm waiting for that bleach to turn back white, i'm just going to go ahead and prepare my needles, and here you see me threading the needles and i'm going to make the string as long as i can so it's going to be arm length. Okay! Now, let's go ahead and get to applying that bleach to the lace closure. As you can see, you want to make sure that it's laying flat that all the hairs are pushed back and i'm applying the bleach very very lightly. The key is to place the bleach on the lace without pressing it through the lace. You simply want to sit on the top, because you don't want it to die the actual hair. That'S through it. You only want the bleach to affect the lace itself and the knots that are connected to the lace, so you don't want to push it through. That'S why you don't want your mixture to be too runny, and so that's what i'm doing here you want to be very gentle. Okay. Next, i'm preparing my styrofoam head to go ahead and start to sew the hair on here i have some tea, pins or they're. Also called wig pens that i'm using to hold my um weaving knit in place on my mannequin now this is a hard part for me. Um, you can purchase a stand, something where you can stick the the styrofoam head on to give you more control, but i don't have one of those. So i secure the styrofoam head between my knees and i'm starting right above the adjustable strap. This is what i'm trying to show you there. I'M sewing it right above the adjustable strap and i'm not sewing any hair on that little flap that goes down to the neck, and so this is going to be my first stitch. It'S going to be an anchor stitch, so i'm going through the knit through the actual weft and i'm going to going to go through the string and pull it up. So it's going to lock it into place. Now i'm also going to go under the weft again through the net and, as you can see here, i'm going to wrap it around the thread. I'M sorry wrap it around the needle and pull it through and that's going to create a knot. That'S going to secure that weft and that first stitch in place to make it really nice and secure, and i'm just going to continue to sew and my method is. I go under the weft into the net and i loop the string around the needle under over the needle pull through and while i'm sewing, i am not cutting the whiffs. If you do not cut the whips that cuts down on shedding majorly. So i'm using the folding technique i'm going across and then when i get to the end to start the next row, i simply fold the weft over. I secure it with some stitches and then i continue to go back and forth until i completely fill in the weaving neck. As you can see, i'm struggling with that styrofoam head keeping it in place. Okay and here i've made some progress, i'm almost to the middle of the styrofoam head and every now and then, while you're sewing, you want to make sure that you take some of the stitches through the width um. You don't have to do all of them, but every now and then you want to take some through the whip just to make sure that it's secure. Okay, now i'm getting ready to sew on my closure piece now, usually i would sew my closure piece on first before i start sewing the hair on um, but since we attempted to bleach the knots - and i didn't want to waste time, while that closure piece was Processing i went ahead and started sewing the hair onto the weaving knit so here before i started, i pre-marked the spot where the lace closure would lay with the white eyeliner pencil so that i know, as i'm stitching the hair onto the weaving net when i needed To stop to go ahead and sew on the lace closure, and so that's what i'm doing here. I'M sewing it on using the exact same stitching methods that i use to lay the wefts on the weaving knit and when you're sewing on your closure, you don't you want to do one side at a time. So the way that i do it is, i sew one part on one one half of it first, so i sew the sides and i sewed all the way till i get to the very middle of the back, then i'll, stop and then i'll go on the Other side and i'll sew it down on the opposite side and the reason that i don't go around in a circle, and i do it one half at a time is because that ensures that the lace closure lays flat and that it doesn't bulk up. And here i'm just fast forwarding through the process: five: okay, here, i'm showing you what it looks like after the lace closure has been sold all the way around and now i'm just securing the hair out of place out of my way. I'M sorry so i can go ahead and finish sewing in the rest of the hair to complete the wig okay, and so you can see. I'Ve worked my way all the way up and i'm closing in the gap between the lace, closure and the rest of the hair, and what i also do that i don't show in the video is that with any hair that i have left, i go in, and I fill in any gaps any places that i needed that i feel need a little bit more volume. I go back in and i fill those pieces in after i'm done closing up the space between the? U part and the lace here, i'm adding a piece of hair across the back perimeter of the wig just in case um carissa wants to leave some of her hair on the back so that she can pull it up into updos and things like that or if She wants to wear it up in a ponytail. She can do that because this hair will blend in with her natural hair. Okay - and here i'm just sewing in those wig clips and that right there is a lace closure, that's been secured and i did cut out the rest of the weaving cap. As you can see right here. That'S the piece that i cut out because remember i sold it on on top of that week that weaving net, so i cut it out once i was done and that's the final product right there, all right, here's a picture of the hair after it has been Co-Washed - and this is the wig after it's been styled - all right guys make sure you check out, naturally gigi's youtube channel for a full review on the owigs hair and the wig thanks.
