5 ways to wear a volumizer weft

If there's one hair problem most women are trying to combat, it's flat hair. While some women are naturally blessed with thick, voluminous hair, others need a little extra help. If you're like Gretchen Wieners and your hair is already big because it's full of secrets, congratulations! If you need a hand in the volume department, however, we're here to help.

While volumizing hair products like sprays and mousses can help give your hair a bold boost at first, these products can weigh the hair down throughout the day, eventually leading to limp, flat hair again. The solution? A Volumizer Weft.

What is a Volumizer Weft?

Hair Volumizer Wefts are single wefts of hair weighing 45 grams. They're the perfect addition to your hairstyle to add instant volume, without the use of multiple hair products, and without committing to wearing a full set of hair extensions. If you already wear hair extensions and are looking for an even bigger boost of volume, the Volumizer Weft can be worn with your current set for added thickness.

How to wear a Volumizer Weft?

If your hair is shorter than 20" long and you are looking to wear a Volumizer Weft on its own, be sure to have the weft trimmed to match your hair length before clipping the weft in at the widest part of your head. Otherwise, if you are wearing the Volumizer Weft in conjunction with your current set of 20" Hair extensions, you can simply clip the weft in for added volume as shown in the video below.

The first step is to find your perfect match. Hair Volumizer Wefts are available in 10 colors ranging from Off Black to Ash Blonde, with balayage and ombre options available. Check out this tutorial if you are unsure of which color to choose. If you already own a set of Hair extensions, simply choose the same color as your hair extensions.

We've teamed up with our friend Kassinka to bring you five different ways to wear a Volumizer Weft. Whether your hair is up, down, or in between, you can enjoy that added bit of volume to your look. Hairstyle 1: Voluminous ponytail

Step 1

Brush your Volumizer Weft from bottom to top, using a Loop Extensions Brush to remove any knots or tangles.

Step 2

Then, section off your hair at the widest part of your head and clip your Volumizer Weft in. If you are wearing hair extensions, stack the Volumizer Weft and clip it on top of the weft currently clipped in to minimize bulk at the back of your head.

Step 3

Gather all your hair into a ponytail and enjoy your big, beautiful, volumized ponytail. To finish off the look, wrap a strand of hair around the hair elastic and bobby pin it in underneath the ponytail.

Hairstyle 2: Half-up-half-down hairstyle with volume

Step 1

Brush your Volumizer Weft from bottom to top, using a Loop Extensions Brush to remove any knots or tangles.

Step 2

Then, section off your hair at the widest part of your head and clip your Volumizer Weft in. If you are wearing hair extensions, stack the Volumizer Weft and clip it on top of the weft you've already clipped in to minimize bulk at the back of your head.

Step 3

Gather half your hair into a ponytail and tie it off into a half-ponytail. Let the rest of your hair hang loose. Once again, you can choose to wrap a strand of hair around the hair elastic for a cleaner look.

Hairstyle 3: Voluminous messy bun

Step 1

Brush your Volumizer Weft from bottom to top, using a Loop Extensions Brush to remove any knots or tangles.

Step 2

Then, section off your hair at the widest part of your head and clip your Volumizer Weft in. If you are wearing hair extensions with this hairstyle, be sure to clip the wefts closest to the bottom of your head upside down, so that you can pull your hair up easily and all your hair stays flat.

Step 3

Gather all your hair into a high pony, and pull your hair messily through the hair elastic. The key to this hairstyle is to look imperfect, so work the hair quickly through the elastic and pull a few pieces out for a messier look.

Step 3

Gather all your hair to one side, and create a 3-strand braid. Then, pancake the braid by pulling it apart slightly, to add even more volume.
