Okay, so the first step is measuring and mapping out your wig cap. The way that I'm doing mine allows me to fearfully about my natural perimeter of hair, so I'm able to pull my hair up into high buns and all those cool up dudes. Next, you want to make sure that your closure is measured in. So you know exactly where to stitch the hair, I'm going to start stitching my hair right inside the white lines that I previously drew and I'm going to stitch all the way across when it's time for me to come back, I am going to use a boat / method, I don't believe in cutting any really good, expensive hair, because that just increases the shedding so right now you're. Seeing that I am about to get to the point where I need to start holding the hair /. As you can see, I kind of went up in a slight curve and then, when you fold over, it allows the track too late, smooth on its own surface. In that overlap, the other track, and I'm just going to do that all the way through the three bundles. I did a real, simple braid pattern, making sure that my part is laying, in the exact same spot, that my part is in my fleece closure now off-screen. I added in a piece of fabric underneath the lace in an elastic band to make sure that the lace like really really flat with my closure already in place, I'm just going to go ahead and sew around the outer perimeter to really make sure that it's secure And it lays really flat once the closure is securely stitched down I'll, go ahead and pin it up out the way and get the? U part out, get it measured onto my head properly and stitch you down! That'S simple! Now that everything is securely stitched on it's time to start blending this, so it looks as natural as possible. What I found works best is just tweezing out the hairline on the lace closure. Next, I'm just going to take down my braid and simply flat iron. My perimeter of hair, which blends right in with the Indian hair now it's time for a quick cut, I'm just going to simply frame this hair around my face and throw in a couple of long layers. I cannot wait to start planning this and doing some wine curls and some flexi rod sets and some up dudes and some messy buns. I mean the list goes on, that's the joy and the beauty of it install. I hope this was helpful for more details. Please check out the description box. I'Ll also have a direct link on how I achieve this color. As always. Thank you guys for watching in stay tuned for more fine. You

Andrea Bushrod: You are truly an amazing & gifted artist! Love this. I've often wanted to try weave/wigs but have sensitive & itchy scalp so never tried it, nice!

MariaAntoinetteTV: Aww thank you! This was my first time using a lace closure so I keep the elastic on and yes I cut away all extra net from the wig cap! Hope that was helpful!! I think the next time I use a closure I will not use the elastic band!

MariaAntoinetteTV: Aww thank you for watching!!! A curly unit will be adorable!

Well, due to her suggestion and seeing part of your personality along with your introduction I decided to check out your channel. I am very impressed! I have officially subscribed! MariaAntoinetteTV: Awww thank you! I buy the elastic from a fabric store like Joann's Fabric it comes in different widths and lengths hope that helps!

kelsz Beautz: One of the best lace tutorials on YT , watched this like 100 times lol. Good job. Luv it

tootise me: luv it!!! I am going to see if my stylist can do a curly one for the summer. Thanks for the video!!

La'Porsha Hope: Heyyyyy girl! Just revisiting this video, as I am looking into making a wig this weekend. Because I don't have a closure, what is a safe alternative ? I don't mind leave out considering South Florida is humidity free for the next few days, but what should I do to keep my hair straight without heat damage ? Thank you :)

Whitley Lucas: Did you sew your u-part wing onto the elastic band? It looks great I am about to try this method as well!!! Great job

PRAYER WARRIORS: wow, may God bless your hands for doing this. Very helpful!

Sweetie Queen: The best layed tutorial to date! You did that.

MariaAntoinetteTV: Thank you!!! All products used are listed in the description box under the video! But I used Redken Powdered Bleach and 30 developer as well as the Sally's Kalidocolor hope that helps.

mrsdelma: Beautifully done

Faith & Joi: this color fits so well on your complexion , beautifull!

debdene41: You are so talented & beautiful! You made that look so easy

Rochelle Alley: very good tutorial - clear and concise

Jess Confessed: You def schooled me today!! Thank you!!! looks great!!

JOANNE JOSEPH: this is such a great video! beautiful work.  quick question, so you didnt sew the closer down from the front, on the hairline?  just the sides?

Paige Singleton: First off.. this look, color & wig is BEAUTIFUL & Bomb... I know its been over a year but I have a quick question. I have made a few units and they come out a little bulky at the top to a point where if I sew clips in you can see the ends of the wig under my hair (I have very fine hair) because it so bulky. Also with looking at your wig it seems to be more spacious and loose, is the achieved by not sewing so far up to the top of the U after you measure it? I think that's why I am getting the bulkiness but figured it didn't hurt to ask since your wig looks so seamless. I am trying to make one with a side part. Any advise would be helpful. Thank you

Gabbie Bobbs: I love this....however i would like to know did you sew in the back of the upart to your head and how do you maintain the elastic band around your head i would love to try this...it looks soooooo amazingly beautiful. I love your videos!!!!

Lauren Kent: You are so dope! You're really making me consider a lace unit with a closure! Love!

DDDRBF: Now that's an install!!! 2 questions...1. Did you remove the elastic from the closure? 2. Did you cut the excess net from the perimeter of the wig after you had sew on the bundle hair? Thanks

MariaAntoinetteTV: Awww thank you! Just take each section at a time! It's not so bad!

Arry Amor: It looks beautiful!!!! What material did you put under the lace closure?

MariaAntoinetteTV: Aww thank you!!! I promise if you take it step by step it's not that hard!!!

Lissi Yaowa A.: Doll you are truly amazing I am going to try this !! Where did you buy the wig cap ? Thanks again for sharing xo

MariaAntoinetteTV: Thank you...yes my scalp is very light when I first tried the original color lace on my scalp it was way to dark..so I had to add a lighter piece of fabric to make it match my natural scalp color...crazy right...lol

Senorita Anita: You look absolutely stunning!...I love the haircolor and lipstick color on you

MariaAntoinetteTV: Yes I always blow my hair out prior to any install to make the braiding easier.

I've made several curly haired wigs but I want to try to make a straight haired wig and just want to make sure it looks as natural as possible when I have it on. I've watched just about all of your videos and would really love to have your advice

MariaAntoinetteTV: I care for my hair underneath by removing the unit and shampooing and conditioning my hair once every month. I then rebraid and reinstall! I don't oil my scalp or anything like that but it won't hurt if you do!

msharper81: stop it!!! this is gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DrkNlvely: LOVE THE LOOK I HAVE ONE QUESTION HOW DO YOU TAKE CARE OF YOUR HAIR UNDERNEATH THE WIG HOW OFTEN DO YOU WASH AND OR MOISTURIZE IT?

fanoffloyd34: no im sorry, i think i confused you. im talking about the weaving cap, did you cut the ajustable straps off? if so was it harder to use it? thanks!

perfectcoils: new subbie by way of sande...also a resident of good ole st. louis. your hair is fabulous, just now getting into sew-ins and you and sande have started some stuff with color. oh and congrats on the new edition to your family. be blessed.

MariaAntoinetteTV: I left the band on this time but I think when I do another lace closure I will not do the band it was uncomfortable after a while! I hope that helps next time i will use the band to hold the closure in place and then just sew it into place.

MariaAntoinetteTV: Great!!! Thank you and Welcome!!!

MariaAntoinetteTV: Thank you very much!

MariaAntoinetteTV: Thank you..but I most likely will not reshoot this same hair but if you want to try it I say go for it! I suggest leaving out the least amount of hair possible if you can to prevent less breakage.
