Hey beauties crystal here from elite haircare, usa, elite total body care and private label hair care company. So today my client came in and decided that, after being relaxed for over 30 years, it is time for her big chop, as you guys can tell she's been transitioning for quite some time, and it was just time okay. So what i had to start out doing is using our elite clarify to remove a lot of the oils and products from her hair. Her hair was really really heavy. If you can, if you guys, can tell by looking at just the relaxed part, you can tell that it was like stringy and not stringy in a damaged way, but more stringy, because there was a lot of product and buildup on her hair. So i started out by doing what we call a dry shampoo and then i also sprayed a little bit of my extrinsic concoction. This concoction is used for removing buildup on the scalp and also the hair. So i know a lot of you are like wait. Isn'T a dry shampoo, a product? Yes, a dry shampoo is a product, but i don't actually use the product dry. Shampoo. I just use our elite clarify and cleanse the hair, and it allows me to extract a lot of that excess oil or build up from the hair before i actually do my traditional shampoo service. This is also something you guys can do at home if you notice that your hair has a lot of product on it or a lot of oil on it, and it has a lot of buildup, you can dry shampoo, it first and then you'll rinse it with Cool water and that will help to remove all of those excess oils, it'll actually solidify the oils and make them much easier to come out. So, as you guys can tell all of that, product is rinsing out in the sink. So it's giving us somewhat of a clean slate to start with, okay, so very, very important, very important. Now, once i rinsed out our clarifying shampoo, i did not go back and clarify her again. I know some of you are like wait. Why didn't you clarify her again? Well, in her case, remember when you're transitioning, the hair is already somewhat dehydrated, because it's very very confused right. So, instead of me going through and doing a complete clarify again after already dry shampooing and clarifying it about 70 percent of the way i decided to go straight in with the hair repair and growth shampoo, and you guys know, i'm a stickler on using. You know the least amount of shampoo or product possible, but in her case i knew that, of course, the purpose of shampoo is to cleanse the hair first and treat after so in her case, it would just work out and allow me to cleanse whatever remaining product Was on her hair and then from there i'm able to also you know, give her a thorough, shampoo and start that hair repair and growth slash transitioning process at the shampoo bowl okay. So you kind of just do your due diligence to know when you need to do another clarifying versus when you don't in her case, you guys, i did not need to do another clarifying shampoo, because i don't want to strip her hair 100, knowing that, at the End of the day, she's transitioning and her hair is already in a dehydrated state. Okay, so keep that in mind now, let's talk transition because you guys have seen me do shampoos over and over and over again right. So when you're transitioning, i always tell you guys, you don't really want to go over about a year in the transitioning process. The reason i say this is because the hair suffers the most during the transition. It is one of the probably the most damaging periods of someone trying to transition from natural to relax. It'S not an easy thing. Why? Because the hair is very confused and really all of that relaxed hair starts to split okay. It starts doing this thing where it knows that it's you're, not caring for the relaxed hair, now you're caring more about the natural hair and the relaxed hair starts to suffer so what starts happening? You start having things like breakage. You start noticing that your hair is really really dry. It'S not keeping any product, you don't know whether to treat it low, porosity or high porosity. You really know nothing because you're in between the two and your main goal is that you want to make the natural hair healthy, because you know that you eventually are going to what cut off the relaxed hair. So when you're transitioning. This is the reason why i say: try not to go past the year um. At that point. You need to just go ahead and embrace the natural, and just do that big chop, because when, when you go past the year, you guys, you literally are just taking away time from that that natural phase of that hair getting itself back to where it needs to Be because you're just catering to everything you're trying to cater to two babies all at one time, and they both need different things. Okay, so i did do a third shampoo, which is really the second shampoo using the hair, repair and growth, and that also is going to help me to detangle the hair. Mind you her hair was somewhat tangled when she came in, and that's also very common with transitioning, because guess what you're going from textured hair to straight hair and that line of demarcation between the straight hair and the textured hair typically, is the area where the comb Gets caught the most the brush gets caught the most, and that is when you start to break off that, not that relaxed hair trying to get through it. So if you guys can tell typically when i do my my chops, i would use a comb in her case. I did not even have that option um because it was already starting to mat up from the shampoo process, plus everything that was going on before. So what i did was i just went through and i just went section by section and just literally cut it right at the line of demarcation. But i did not give it blunt cuts if you guys notice, i'm doing more like a notching style, because i know that i'm not going to be able to get all of the relaxed hair off right now. So once she is actually dry and silk is when i complete the trim at that point, and now she is officially on the other side right. Okay, so after we did the chopping of the hair, i want you guys to notice how her hair just starts. To revert and all of that um negative space that was on the strand, it just already started to look a lot better. That relaxed here was doing no justice for her at all. It really was just holding her hair down and it just made the hair appear to be very dry it just it was all over and then on top of that, you guys she is a salt and pepper in some areas. So the salt part of the hair typically likes to look a little more wiry than any other part of the head. So now that all of that um, relaxed hair or about 90 of it is off what i'm doing now is going through, and i'm just doing a semi-permanent color on her hair. This is going to, of course, boost the shine. It'S also going to help cover her silver and then the semi-permanent color. It'S not going to really do any form of damage to the hair. It'S really just a deposit only outer layer of color, okay, it doesn't last as long as permanent or demi-permanent, but in her case you know it's just gon na revive her hair. It'S just gon na give it this appearance of um shininess and this great luster and at the same time, as i said before, it's going to cover the silver streaks. But it's not going to make it where everything is going to be one color, it'll kind of look like highlights because she has her salt and pepper all over her head, whereas it's not just at the scalp level. So this kind of works out for her now before i go any further, if you haven't already, please don't forget to subscribe to my channel and also comment down below on this video. If you have been transitioning and how long has it taken you to actually transition? I know a lot of you are going to say: i'm transitioning right now, i'm going to cut it off soon and then there's others that say. Well, i transitioned like three weeks after i said i was going to go natural, but everybody's journey is different. So share your journey with us in the comments so that you possibly can help someone else right. Okay, so now her hair is dry um, the color service is complete, so i'm going to apply a little bit of the frizz tamer and shine serum. This is going to be serving as our heat protectant and also a shine booster when we are doing our silk out now, if you guys can tell she has a lot of hair, and i thought this was going to take me a very long time to silk And it actually did not, it was her. Hair was so easy to silk. It was like butter, it was just like butter, so um, let's talk about silk pressing, because i know i get that question a lot. Can you transition and still silk press your hair, absolutely uh? What i tell people is you want to make sure that whoever is silk pressing, your hair, that they understand um, bonds and understand that when it's time to back off on silk pressing the hair? So often you also want to make sure that you're going to someone that understands the art of silk pressing, because some people will literally go straight in with the hottest thing that they can find. And then, after that, you start having heat damage and can't revert. And my number one goal is always to make sure that my clients are able to revert if they choose to. I have some clients who, like that who likes their hair to be heat, trained, basically meaning breaking the bond and keeping their natural hair straight, but they don't want a relaxer. So it's just dependent on what your needs are. But i always say if you are transitioning and you want to still get your hair straightened, just make sure that you find the right stylist that understands the art of this particular service, and i call it a art because not everybody understands how to do it. You guys, okay, all right cool, so the iron that i'm using this is the h2 pro. I think it's black diamond always can never remember that part, but it is a one inch, titanium iron. If you are doing silk pressing at home, i do not recommend titanium irons. Why? Because you will suppress a lot more than you will come into the salon and i feel like that is going to just do more damage than good. So just keep that in mind when you are looking for your irons. I definitely say: stick with a good ceramic iron, take smaller sections and just wrap your hair at night, so that you're not pressing it as much so now it is time for us to do our trim. This is going to finish out the transitioning process. If you guys look at the ends of her hair in some places where you can actually see the ends, you will notice that there are very straight hairs, very sparse, straight hairs on the ends. That tells me, of course, that she does still have some relaxer on the ends of her hair. That'S another reason why i like to wait to finish out the service when the hair is silt out, so that i can see the difference between that amazing natural hair versus the hair that has been torn apart in the transitioning process, which is usually the relaxed hair And that's normal! Okay! Now, for this part of the service, a trim is a trim. A cut is a cut. If you're going to a stylist that doesn't understand the difference, your transitioning is going to typically be a haircut and it is going to be a lot shorter than it should be. This is why i like to do um, gradual transitioning cutting and i i'll kind of describe that kind of just made that whole time up myself. But when i say gradual, i mean like when i'm doing the big chop. I take off like right at the line of demarcation. Literally, that's what i stop at and then when it's time for the client to get silked out and now i'm trimming them just to clean it up. At the end, i can catch all the little relaxed hairs that i was not able to catch when i was doing the preliminary cut itself or the big chop itself, some stylists do this the different way they will literally just hack at the hair and not try To preserve any length because they all they know is you want a big chop, but for me my goal, of course, is to give you as much length but also get you out of that transitioning phase so that you are good to go going forward. I want you guys to take a look at her hair as well. After it was silked. She has great density. She has amazing volume. She has great luster to her hair. You notice the semi-permanent color adhered. It didn't change all of her color because she is silver and white, but it gave that appearance of highlight low light kind of look. So i did spray a little bit of hairspray on her hair. For me to start the styling part of the process, i'm taking large sections at this point. Her hair is already sick. That'S soaked out, i hate to see a stylist. Do small pieces after you've already soaked the hair blow dried. The hair you've already done so much with it. Why are you taking such small sections to style the hair that is not going to do anything? More than start the process of breaking the bond already and you're right at the beginning of their journey right so don't hinder the beginning of their journey, especially for my hairstylist friends out there be mindful you know of everything you do at what stage of the process. Okay, all right, so i know you guys are like oh what hairspray was that that was sebastian shaper plus i talk about it all the time. In my videos, we are working on our own hairspray in the making, but outside of that, you guys, let's talk about aftercare so for her aftercare, she's. Now, of course, going to follow her trim schedule of being natural. She now also wants to go and determine what her porosity is. That'S very important and then, of course, her texture is what she's also going to look at as well. That is going to determine what products she will use going forward, whether it be strengthening products or moisturizing products, but, in my honest opinion, based on her hair from me just working with it. She definitely is going to be in the moisture area, but she will also need some strengthening as well. Why? Because guess? What the hair? In order for it to be healthy, it needs an equal balance of moisture and strength. Not everyone needs 50. 50. Some people need 75 moisture, 25 strength. Others need 25 percent moisture 75 strength, so it's really going to just determine be determined based on your hair type. What you do with it. I definitely would suggest at this phase of the process, to not jump into braids. You want to just try to keep that hair out and allow that hair to just flourish at the beginning of this process, because it's just gone through a very large or not large, a very um just say it went through a change. I couldn't think of the word but, like i said you guys, so we are near the end of this video. Her hair is beautiful, nice and shiny and soft. You notice that the comb is not getting caught in her hair, meaning that those relaxed ends are gone and she is now fully natural. Her style was beautiful, she loved it, i loved it, we loved it and i hope you guys liked it as well. Outside of this she'll wrap her hair at night and use a stocking cap and then for her aftercare products at home. She'D definitely still be using the hair repair and growth, shampoo and conditioner. I wouldn't suppress it as much only when it's like special occasion and then, of course, she can retouch her color when she's ready. So i hope you guys enjoyed and thanks so much for watching

♡Amy♡: As a white woman, I obviously don't know what it's like to have hair like that, but I love watching videos like these. You ladies have such beautiful hair and I love seeing how your hair can be styled. This lady had to have felt wonderful by the end, she looks great!

sweetsharie66: I’m 14 months into my transition after being relaxed for 40 years! I’m keeping my hair pressed and trimming gradually. Once the transition is complete, I will remain a “straight natural.”

DC: I am a 70 yo white woman and I appreciate so much your talent. I would love to have you work on my hair! But this is the message I want to leave with you, talent is not a gift. One has to educate themselves and learn EVERYTHING they can about their subject of interest. Darling, you show us in multiple ways your talent is exceptional. Well done love!!!!

Lungile Mthethwa: I stopped straightenung my hair at 23 and went natural, never looked back, this was the best desicion she did for her hair❤

R Mobley: I love how versatile our black textured hair is. We can do so much with that beautiful hair I love it

Angharad Lerryn: My dream is to become a hairstylist who is able to offer my services to all hair types, but I (obviously lol) don't have hair like this, so these videos are an absolute goldmine! Thank you for educating us, you're so eloquent and explain everything so incredibly well. Absolutely one of my favourite YouTube channels! You're so skilled and have obviously honed your craft to such an impressive level, if I'm half as good as you when I start hairdressing, I'll be so happy! ♡

Kassandra Robinson: I love how you educate us on proper hair care, & I don't understand why there is ever any thumbs down! ‍♀️

Elmira Gates: Her hair is so healthy and beautiful. Once again, great job Crystal.

Christina Byrd: I’m 2 years and one month into my transition. I’ve been getting pressed once a month and trimmed every 3-4 months. I have maybe 2 inches of straight hair left in certain places. The relaxer ways okay for some years but once it started to do more harm than good, my stylist encouraged me to let it go especially because my hair could be maintained when pressed. My hair is the healthiest it’s been in a very long time.

Janice Moody: I transitioned from a perm to natural hair three years ago. I wear a short cut now. I have fine textured, low porosity hair so moisture is what my hair needs the most. Thanks to you Crystal I am a lot more aware what my hair needs!! Thank you for your expert advice!!!! You are appreciated!!!

L- Anderson: That was a beautiful transition. Crystal, I just don't know what else to say about you! I give you your roses today.

Lozet Riley: Just beautiful, I been watching your vids for a lil while now and I absolutely love what you do. The whole process of styling and you teaching us how to take better care of our hair, thank you so much for that and her hair is very lovely. ❤️

Danielle: I like when you walk us through what you’re doing! Keep doing what you’re doing Crystal !

Angela Hall: This was very educational. I really enjoyed watching the full process with a competent teacher. I want to stop relaxing my hair but I have never been the salon person. I have always done my own hair since I have been on my own. If I could find someone with your knowledge and experience I think I would go to a soon long enough to transition. Every one of my transition attempts have been utter fails, hence I still wear a perm. Thanks again for the video, your client looked gorgeous! Be blessed .

Telia Battle: I transition to natural for over 11 years & natural hair still looks so great!

sophie joseph-brown: Beautiful! Like she never left the relaxer! Best of luck to her beautiful natural journey

ty lynn: I've been locing for 10 months now (I am loving the journey). I've been natural for over 17 years. My stylist took the gradual route as well for my transition. It didn't take long because he would trim me every 8 weeks vs my normal 12 weeks.

Demi: I transitioned for 9 months. I cut off the remaining relaxed ends, looked at it & was shocked I was holding on to this dead hair & that's exactly what it was. I'm 20 months into my journey ...I started at the top of my eyebrow & at shoulder length now. I am a twist out girl, love the texture & learning my hair. Today I got caught in the rain for a couple minutes & I didn't run....it felt great & got some natural moisture on my strands. I shook it out a bit & kept it moving...& it still looked great...a result of a great moisturized twist out.

Maloyo: I transitioned after 6 months. Couldn't take the breakage and the different textures anymore. I don't straighten my hair and have no plans to do so. I watched natural hair videos for two years before taking the plunge. I liked the look but did not want to spend the time young women today spend doing their hair. I finally decided that I didn't have to do all that just to be natural. Two and a half years after the big chop, I could stand a cut (a professional cut, not one of my "at home" jobs) but other than that, it looks okay and I'm happy I made the change after decades of relaxers, Jheri curls, hot combs, etc.

Barbara Long: I love how her hair came out. It still has a nice length

Leah Mason: Sure has beautiful hair. Looks nice and healthy after the cut was finished. Great job!

Peggy Grant: I've been watching you do hair for a long time now and you are amazing..you don't just change hairstyles, you change lives.. This beautiful ladies eyes light up as she sees her new hair in the mirror ..You truly are a blessing... ❤

Nirva Decopain: : I love what you did this client's hair. If only you were near Brooklyn, I would have enjoyed your touch in my hair.

Sherry Edgar: End product is Gorgeous!! Wish i could find a stylist who knew what she was doing, as well as you do!! Love watching your videos!! Thank you for sharing your GIFT!!

Tiffany Javonne: I transitioned for 13 months. Big chopped this past July. Was relaxed for about 37 years... trying to get to know my new mane..... so far it's been a great experience.... Cant wait to see what the future holds

Gilda Gaudino: I love my natural curls and would never consider straightening it also no way to wigs especially after seeing what it can do to your scalp , your an amazing stylist

Laya Perez: I had texlaxed hair for a while when I was younger, my mom got tired of my hair since my curls would get so tangled and it’s very thick so she gave me a texlax to makes doing my hair easier and I liked it for a bit. I big chopped to a twa in 2018 though because I got heat damage in 2017 after back to back straightening my hair for my sweet 16 and homecoming. Now it’s been 4 years since I have had a flat iron touch my crown. Now my hair is waist length and when I get to my butt crack I think I really wanna get a silk press

atlsong byrd: Thank you! I’ve had heat damage on my hair that I can’t bounce back from because stylist had the flat iron too high!

mostly queenly: I started transitioning last year December, I’m planning on big chopping this December. I’ve grown so attached to my hair, finding out my porosity, my hair type and other things I never even knew I could do with my hair, finding a wash routine, moisturizing properly, trust me when I say I didn’t moisturize my relaxed hair at alllllll, I even used bathing soap. So whenever I see my hair looking good and healthy I just get sooo happy, I can’t wait to big chop. But wash days are sooo difficult, my relaxed hair gets sooooo tangled, I spend like 2 hours in the bathroom. I decided I was going to go natural when I got fed up of having burnt scalp and also I hadn’t relaxed my hair for like 3 months and I was like lemme just try it, when I get tired I’ll relax it. 10 months now and I haven’t relaxed , I can’t wait for my big chopppppppp☺️☺️☺️☺️.

Bonnie Moore: HER HAIR IS JUST BEAUTIFUL!! THICK, BOUNCY, SHINY, STYLED PERFECTLY, IT'S AMAZING!!! THE STYLIST DID A MAGNIFICENT JOB!!!

Karen Grinstead: I transitioned for 15 months before I got my hair cut. I love the silk press look, but never get a silk press. Your customer’s hair is beautiful.

Irish Scot: she looks beautiful!! so is silk pressing just an alternative to chemical straightening? Does the silk press do less damage? Any damage? It is so fascinating to hear such information regarding black hair. You can tell it makes a big difference when someone knows what they are talking about. Great video!

Discerningoftruth66 Welch: "Absolutely beautiful and amazing hair transition from relaxing to natural beauty for the clients taste is remarkable...techniques to have..

Chubby Bibi: I have a curly natural hair and I'm almost 30 yrs of relaxing. I'd just watch a video of a blogger using cgm (curly girl method) after I watch it I starting to embrace my natural curly. And now I'm now 1 week using cgm and I can see the difference. Using cgm for natural curly is amazing it helps my confidence too and I love my curly natural hair now unlike before.

Cristina Antoniuc: wow your hair looks absolutely amazing!

Tg: She’s got awesome hair! Her natural hair will grow so beautifully. And will probably look richer and healthier

Brittany B: She has beautiful hair!! I did the big chop about two weeks ago and I love it

Keshia Willis: I appreciate your knowledge and being willing to share thank you so much, God bless!

Sylvia Jenkins: That hair is thicker than a snicker! Beautiful!

Chris Amxy: I'm a 52 year old straight while male and I love watching your videos. I wish I could find a barber that has this kind of talent by simply making your clients feel great. :)

Jamila Pittman: I just hit five years into my natural hair journey, it took about 6 months to transition and I big chopped. My 4c hair took alot but I learned to love my hair and myself ❤️ dont give up yall my hair has never looked better

Joyce Allen: I went through this but with heat damage from flat irons. My hair curls completely to the ends now. However, it's so thick and I've always had long hair so I don't like doing it. I haven't pressed or flatiron I two years. I used ceramic and a stylist said they're bad. So I got titanium but haven't used them yet.

J Davis: Her hair looks healthy and really good. You did a great job!!

janie earwood: that was amazing! Her hair is gorgeous! great transformation

Debra Ragoonanan: You did a fantastic job, I was really impressed

Yasmin Roberts: I transitioned for 17 months and have been natural for 5 years n counting...You did an excellent job...I want to do a silk press but I am afriad to do one here in the Caribbean bcause I dont trust the hair dresser to not damage my hair....my sis did a silk press and got major heat damage....I would def trust you with my hair

Mother Of Dragon: Yesssssssss! When you stick to your strengths, beautiful hair is the outcome

Wanda King: I transitioned for 7 months before big chopping. I couldn’t deal with the two textures anymore. It was the best thing for me!

SP L.: Beautiful as always. She and her hair are gorgeous. Amazing work Ms. Crystal.

Donna Hill: A beautiful change, I loved it.

Heweline Vieira: This is art! Congratulations! It's amazing that you were blessed by God with such wonderful talent, making people feel loved and valued!

Jacki Dalton: Total respect for the amount of time and care that is put into styling black hair. I have 2 biracial grandkiddo’s. Major learning curve.

Marilyn Martin: Her hair turned out beautifully!

Lone Star: I bet she felt wonderful! I'm a white lady too, and enjoy your videos. My best friend in Jr. high back in the '70's was black, and I remember how much time her mom put into her hair. I enjoy learning.

TONY ORTIZ: Awesome informative video, I was forced to go natural, years of relaxed hair really damaged my scalp, now I love my natural hair.

Amanda Summers: I transitioned a while ago and I noticed as I was washing my hair is the permed ends were rougher than my new growth, it was so hard to wash my hair with the two different textures. After a while the perm and will fall off on its own but then that still damage because it’s also splitting the healthy hair.

Anika Loves: I really like your transitioning videos. I learn a lot from them.

Donna P: Crystal, you did a beautiful job on her hair.

Hattie Colley: Great job! Her hair looks so Healthy now. Got to luv it.

Madam Butterfly: Looks lovely I do love a good looked after Afro thou... I used to love watching my friends pick their Afros out...

Felicia Marcus: That was a great job Crystal One thing i would say that not every stylist knows how do deal with natural hair.....SMH,BUT you are the Bomb♥️♥️

angela mcdavid: For 30 years of relaxed hair, her edges are beautiful and full..She has done a great job of taking care of her hair..Good luck on your relaxed hair journey..❤❤❤❤❤❤

Danielle Kline: I’m a 66 year old white chick. I love that you help women embrace their hair. White chick tend to go for what they shouldn’t have. You’re an artist.

Tanesha, Coach K's Coach: I'm still a relaxed chick, not interested in going natural BUT I love watching this video because my niece is natural. This video was very informative in so many ways. After I asked the question you answered lol.. Keep doing your thing love!!!

Tracey Beukes: Great work,I absolutely love your advice and how well you work with hair.

Donna Ryland: WoW great transformation she had a ton of hair!!! You did a phenomenal job! I would go to you in a heartbeat !!!!! Where are you located??

Michele Williams: That is beautiful. I love the color also.

C T: Its absolutely beautiful. I think the words you were looking for were "major transition" right? Beautiful job Ms. Crystal BLESSINGS

Rhoda Smith: Wow I just did the BIG chop also…no more relaxers and I absolutely love my texture after releasing the hair crack..

tychia brown: I transitioned for about 8 months and then did the big chop. Been natural for 9 years. Best decision I ever made!!! ☺️

Pam Walker: Beautiful, I'm relaxed but I want to go natural.

SHARDICE SHARP-DAVIS: I transition after a chop. I just decided no more perms. My hair was always short. So when I went perm free now my hair is much longer. I go in the shop once every 6 mos to get a trim and pressed

Jackie Randolph: Hi Crystal I love your shampoo and conditioner they helped my hair alot.

Toya Renee: I guess everyone's hair is different. My hair is more dry and breaks way more when natural. Plus hair styles didn't last longer than 2 days. Going back relaxed has really been good to me. My hair looks and feels so much healthier.

suriyasmin: I never cut my relaxed hair when transitioning back in 2012. When I first went natural I was taught to come home and condition my hair every day for like 2 months. After that I started twist cowashed my hair weekly after that. Did Trim my hair for a year after going natural. When I finally did, hairstylist cut off 1/2 inch. I go yearly because I don't know how to take care of straight hair anymore .

Jasmine Pearsall: I transitioned for 16 months...then the back of my hair decided to big chop itself so I had no choice but to big chop the rest lol. This was about 7 years ago

Pauline Bowen: Great job I wish I lived in Florida so I can get my hair done when I come down on vacation I will look you up

Jackie Randolph: Her hair is so beautiful and shiny

Darlene Tillman: You are an amazing teacher ♥️♥️♥️

Maria Charles: I can definitely understand this I and now 4 years relaxer free and my hair is past my shoulders I cried during the big chop but it’s worth it

Janet Shavers: Love the color BEAUTIFUL CUT

Yvonne Adams: I love that slight shading that color gives

Rebekka Surber: As a white woman, I love how much love and care and professionalism went into this video and doing this woman's hair. At a time with so much negativity and strife, it's just nice to see something so authentically positive and real and kind. Thank you.

Jewelle Mason: Her hair looks so soft really nice

Karen Vaughn: Her hair is beautiful. Awesome job Crystal

Anita Walker: I've never transitioned. I cut straight to the roots and grew my hair out. Now I'm 6 years locced and love it. I love embracing my natural hair..

Nadhege David: November will be 4 years since I transitioned, best decision I ever made…

archie lopez: You did wonderful!

Elaine Williams: So good to see an expert at work. Clearly you know what you are talking about and know what you are doing. Your client looks beautiful.

Wendy: I just chopped off about 7 inches. I’m not blessed with her beautiful curls but if it counts I’m transitioning to my natural color which is currently gray/white.

Shantelle Wilson: Elite Hair Care ~ I that you TEACH and not preach at your audience❣️ I’ve been relaxed for 20 yrs and never had a problem with my hair growing or being healthy until having Hypothyroidism in 2009. If anyone has Thyroid disease it’s a whole situation nightmare and your hair is the hardest to deal with. It caused my hair to grow slowly and constantly shed. The luster or sheen was gone so it was dull and dry. I wanted my “crown” back. Once I started taking hair vitamins in 2013 (which I swear ✋by) and saw my hair growing, getting thicker, and no longer dull I didn’t stop taking the vitamins. My hair still sheds because I’ll always have Thyroid disease. My friend who is natural says I should go natural too. She goes on and on about my health issues and how the “cream crack” (relaxer) with all the chemicals in it is bad for me and my hair. She’s on her soapbox because she can FINALLY FINALLY get her hair to grow past her shoulders and now she thinks she’s a natural hair guru. She was horrible at maintaining her relaxed hair so it would break off, be over processed… you know the look! My hair is 1) Healthy 2) Growing 3) lustrous 4) untouched since 1999 by a hair stylist/ beautician/hairdresser ( what is your job title? It’s been that long ) 5) length above waist. NOW MY QUESTION ‍♀️ WHAT WOULD BE A GOOD REASON FOR ME TO CUT OFF HEALTHY LONG HAIR TO START OVER NATURAL?? Or a better question might be, what are your pros and cons of natural hair? Btw I have Rheumatoid arthritis that causes pain in my hands and shoulders. I do my own hair maintenance and relaxers and the whole process takes double what it should. Is natural quicker and easier to wash, dry, and style? Do you have 2 strands twists the hair at night in order to have defined curls in the morning to save time? Which makes no sense because natural is already curly. Everyone is wearing “protective styles” anyway so they don’t have to deal their natural hair on a daily because the process is so long and daunting or is that not the case? I always had long hair to the middle of my back with a relaxer and not many girls/women did. Now there are videos everywhere of naturals with thick long luscious manes all over the internet. Why did these same women have hair that didn’t grow with relaxers? It is possible to have long relaxed tresses ✊. Oh Oh what is the cost to maintain natural like for products …. hair masks, conditioners, detangler, oils, ….. I deeply apologize for this being so long, but writing for me has always been therapeutic❣️❣️ I’m hoping you will make this post a topic for a future video and continue to educate your followers. Thank you so much and continued blessings for you and your business
