What'S up y'all today is hair wash day i've been wearing this blowout for like a week now and it's time to wash the hair. I can feel my roots freezing up like that, so it is time to wash it, and i figured i'm going to show you my wavy hair routine today, if you're new here, i want to give you guys a quick story on my hair um, so i have Naturally, wavy hair, but i've always kind of hated it because i didn't know how to take care of it like it would be wavy and it sounds pretty right. But it's like some wavy, some frizzy some straight and it was just a disaster. I never knew how to take care of it and then last year january 2020 i went to vietnam and they have the best chemical straightening treatments there, and so i got my hair straightened and i was rocking that for like six months until my roots started growing Out and my roots so different, the texture on top of my hair was so different from the bottom, which was straight so i was going through a transitional period. This was during quarantine, so i was like you know what i'm gon na learn: how to take care of my hair. I'M gon na bring my waves back, and that is what we did. I feel like. I know how to take care of my hair now and i've been so excited to see the progress in my hair. If you followed me on instagram, i kind of shared a quick video about it, i'm going to post it here or do a link below. I don't know i'm going to show you something like that, so i recently colored my hair too, and that set me back on my natural wavy hair journey a little bit but yeah today we're going to do my wavy hair routine. So first things. First, i want to show you guys what i do before i actually wash my hair. I started using this hair oil. It'S from goop beauty. I actually used it for the first time in my last wash and it was freaking crazy. It was like magic because my hair was so dry before i used this, and i felt like adding this to my routine as a pre. Shampoo treatment really made a difference. So now this is like a must-have in my routine. So, first step we are going to shape this up and then put it in the hair. They said to use only like two or three drops, but because i have a lot of hair, i'm going to use a lot more. I just put it on my palms. I'M going to spread it like this and then i'm going to put it on the roots of my hair. I think the best way to do this is to actually section your hair off, but because i'm a little bit lazy, i just kind of go in like this make sure to put it on the roots and the places where it's the most dry, the most dry. For me is the ends: that's where i still have some of the straightening treatment in. I still need to cut it, and then i also colored my hair, so it's even more dry, but that's okay. I haven't even touched this side yet, okay, there we go. Oh also, if you're putting like oils in your hair, make sure you don't wear your favorite shirt because it might get on your shirt and oils. Don'T come out easily. So just a warning there, all right! Next, i'm going to use this oil um. I actually probably should have did this step first before putting the beauty i'm going to use this oil, it basically promotes hair growth and i don't put it on my hair. I put it more like in my scalp area, where my hair is a little thinner and i'm trying to grow. So i just put a little bit here: kind of put it on my fingers and put it on the edges where i'm trying to grow more hair and gently massage it in i'm, going to leave these hair oils on my hair for about 20 minutes. Okay, all the oils are on my hair. Now i'm going to put it up in a little bun with a clock lip and you want to do it very gently too. You don't want to pull your hair, i'm going to go like this, clip it and then i'm going to put it in a plastic bag. Okay, so i put a plastic bag over my hair so that the oils can penetrate it deeper. I know i look a little bit funny, but this protects my couch and my furniture from my hair oils, so we're going to leave it on for 20 minutes and then we're going to go wash. Let me go check what time it is for um the shampoo. I just used any head and shoulders really. I mean i've been using it forever, since i was young and it's really good for me personally, because i can get dandruff sometimes and this one really controls it so it whenever i stop using it and my dandruff comes back. I know that's too much information, but it works for me. Maybe one day i'll, try out different shampoos, but right now that's the one that i use so yeah use whatever shampoo you like, but for conditioner. I got ta. Show you this one that i really really love. Okay, i really love this conditioner. You see that when i started using this last year, it really like changed up my hair. I felt like my hair was always dry and this one started putting moisture back in my hair, and i think that was a big part in how i saw my natural hair pattern come back. I mean i use so much of it that every time i see it, i have to stock up on it, use whatever shampoo you like, but definitely have to try this one out like i love it so much. This is very, very important for me and don't skimp when you're in the shower too, because if you have textured coarse hair, your hair needs a lot of moisture in it and conditioner is like lifesaver one more thing. If you're in the shower after you've shampooed and conditioned it's really good to use a deep conditioner, i've run out of deep conditioner mask so i won't be conditioned today, but usually it it's so important. I mean it goes back to like putting moisture and hydration back into the hair, so i feel, like i'm missing a really important step in that one. But if you have a deep conditioner at home, make sure you use it when you're in the shower and just leave it on during your whole shower and wash it off last i'm going to go shower and then i'm going to show you guys the actual styling Process that i do all right, i just got out of the shower first thing that i do when i get out the shower um. My hair is a little bit weird because it dries quickly at some parts and then at the roots it takes forever. So i'm just going to spray this back with water. You want to apply your products on wet hair, because that's when your wavy hair will really show up the most so first thing keep your hair wet. Second thing: i have a towel over me so that my t-shirt doesn't get drenched but make sure to not dry your hair with this, because it causes a lot of frizz we're going to dry our hair last. So this is kind of like just to keep my shirt dry, i'm using marc jacobs, 100, coconut oil and shea butter, leave-in conditioner. I really like this one, so i'm just going to spray. It everywhere make sure you get the middle part of your hair, the roots. I'M going to take this off because it keeps falling i'm going to use the wider part of this comb to brush it out like this, just so that we can get the product evenly into the hair. I also detangled in the shower, but it still gets tangled afterwards, so you don't want to brush your hair when it's dry only when it's wet next, i'm going to use olive flex number six. My hairdressers um recommended this to me and it works really. Well, it's almost gone. I feel, like my hair, is a little bit limp from the color damage, but we'll try to repair it slowly, olaplex going to use it here on just one side: first squish it in really get in to the hair. I am a little bit mad at myself for getting such healthy hair, almost virgin hair and seeing the best results ever and then going to color my hair. But i like my new hair color, you know - maybe i just like sabotaging myself just kidding brush it out, make sure it's all up in the hair all right. Now i'm going to spray my hair with water again so that it's wet i'm just going to go ahead and scratch it up like this you're that sound! That'S how wet you want your hair to be back here, is a little bit dry, go ahead and just squeeze it try to get some definition back in there if you have transitioning hair. Like me, it's going to take a while, before you see amazing definition in your hair, but as long as you keep doing this, it's going to encourage your hair to go back to its natural state. I'M using this curl smoothie just a little bit, i'm going to put it on both sides of the hair and kind of do like this and squeeze it up. Whenever you see your hair get dry, just go ahead and spray some water, i'm going to get a little bit more and put it on this side. Get the product in there just keep on scratching i'm using not your mother's curl talk sculpting gel, that's the last product in the hair, i'm just going to put a cast over it like this and then also scrunch it so that the style can last a little Bit longer, i'm going to spray more water. Sometimes i feel like my hair is kind of like a plant. It'S just super thirsty, i'm going to get more gel for this side. Okay, i'm already seeing some frizz, which isn't good, but i know it's mostly because my hair is damaged and i'm touching it way too much. Okay, i feel like this is as wavy as my hair is going to get today, i'm a little bit bummed because i've seen it a lot more defined before i colored my hair. But let's try to be positive. The process is not done yet. Let'S go plop. Our hair, so i have this t-shirt that is dedicated to drying my hair and i'm going to use it to plop. What you do is just lay it out here. I, like i like to lay it out like this, then put your head backwards, like this kind of put it all together, put your hair down, bring this back roll it, and now i'm just going to clip this part together. I used to tie a knot, but sometimes i tie it so tight that it leaves a dent on my forehead. I don't like that, so i'm just going to clip it together, like this, be right back all right. It is secured with the clip i feel like. I look so funny i'm going to leave it in for about 20 to 30 minutes and then we'll take it out to see okay y'all. I'M back. I did my makeup. While i was waiting and it's time to take it off, i'm a little bit nervous because you never know you never know what it's gon na look like. Okay, so i'm just gon na take it off gently. Oh, it's not bad! Take a look at it! It'S not bad. Okay, it's looking kind of good so before my hair looked even better, but i told you guys that i colored it and i'm pretty happy with how it looks right here like this, i'm just going to scrunch it in a little bit more like that scrunch it On this side too, oh my hair feels so soft um for my bangs, i'm just going to finger twirl it this side so that it will frame my face. But it's away from my face. Actually, i'm gon na frame it towards my face since it wants to go that way. Okay, this is what it looks like and now here's the most important part i'm going to let it air dry and i'm not going to touch it, because if i touch it too much it's going to frizz up so i'm going to let it you can already See that it's freezing up like a little bit on this side, so i don't want to touch it too much or else it's going to freeze even more now, i'm just going to do my thing go on about my day. Without touching it, that's the most important part: don't touch it air dry. Well, please, all right y'all! It is mostly dry, and this is what it looks like if you feel your hair after you put the gel it's kind of crunchy. So right now, what we're going to do is scrunch out the crunch and so you're just going to scrunch it like this. Until the crunchiness is gone and it's feeling softer okay, the inside part of my hair is still a little wet, but i'm a little impatient um. It'S best to wait if it's totally dry, but i mean i think it's like 90 dry, so we're good scrunch it out. You can see that you're getting a little bit more volume. Now all right - and this is the final look - i'm pretty happy with it. I'Ve seen it looking better, but because i know that i did the damage i'm sabotaging myself um. I think this is pretty good. I think this is a win. It looks good for damaged hair. You know if you tried this hair routine for the first time and it doesn't come out exactly the way you want it um, but just keep doing it don't feel discouraged because hair the hair journey is such a long process and you have to be super patient With it, if you have chemicals in your hair, just cut off the dead ends, let it go and eventually like new hair growth will come out. I'M telling you this, but i'm also telling myself this, because i got my hair colored and it was doing so good when i almost had all virgin hair, but it's okay, the main lessons that i've learned is to wash your hair less um. I wash it once a week or i try to i try to do it only once every 10 days, so my next wash day will be 10 days i'll, try to make it last um, but yeah wash your hair less because it's already dry and you want It to naturally moisturize itself. Second start using products on your hair, like when you're in the shower, put a lot of conditioner a lot and also use hair mask to deep condition afterwards. That makes a huge difference. What else did i learn? I feel like those two are the most important part and then the third one is to just experiment with different products, to see what you like for your hair and then the fourth one is to be super patient, so yeah. I hope this video was helpful and i will see you guys next time.

Carla Sena: AHH we literally have the same type of hair!! I use the same products! I would suggest applying the curl enhancing smoothie first all over like you did and take three sections of your hair on each side and apply a little more and twirl it outwards! And don’t touch it too much to reduce frizz! Also maybe try waiting only like only 5 min after you’re out the shower so your hair can be super wet when you style it! I hope this helps! I also use a diffuser and have noticed such less frizz!!

ziraffen: Im Vietnamese like you, and for some reason I didnt think “our genetics” could have anything but pin straight hair lol. My hair started to change in texture around last year. I had pin straight hair before, but now the texture is definitely more on the wavy side. The same thing happened to my mom, but she never knew how to take care of it, so its just frizzy. You are the first person I saw on IG who opened my eyes to the possibility of having wavy hair! Thank you for your tips, I will definitely treat my hair to some moisture now!

Nguyễn Trân: Finally found a fellow Vietnamese with the same hair type after years of straightening my hair out, thinking I was weird lol. Seeing mostly people with tight curls doing CGM, I was sooo discouraged. But hey, glad I followed you on Instagram! Thanks for the tips, gorgeous!

gnLyn.: Finally found someone who have the same type of hair like me! I can’t wait to start bringing back my waves :)

Selina Kim: First I just wanna say you’re so pretty!!! ❤️ Your smile is gorgeous. I’m Cambodian with very similar hair and I have an amazing shampoo and conditioner recommendation!! The function of beauty wavy hair shampoo and conditioner is life changing for us Asian girls bc the conditioner isn’t sooo heavy that it weighs down our waves but it’s moisturizing enough to make our hair soft. It also smells so good! The brand is at target and it’s about 10 bucks!

Sydney: Instead of using H&S for dandruff, I recommend using a sulfur bar on your scalp and then follow with a shampoo that you like and conditioner :)

Mychio: I’m SO happy I found your tiktok bc we have the same hair type rather o just treated my hair as if it was straight bc I didn’t know how to actually treat it being the only one getting my dad’s gene of wavy hair while all my siblings have straight, but then my friends always kept pointing out the fact that the ends of my hair would always wave so I’ve recently been trying to treat it like the hair type it actually is rather than straight hair :)

saturn: yess another southeast Asian girl with wavy hair!! thank you for sharing this. I'm just starting my wavy hair care journey now ♡

Dani Uzuegbu: aphogee two step protein treatment or their curlific texture treatment works so well for any kind of damage or if you need a protein boost here & there! def my fave when i had heat damage.

Peachy〜: I just watched ALL your videos in one day, I love so much your style and your personnality

potatocabbage: Oh my goodness you can read my mind I literally serching for this few hours ago. Your hair looks really nice. Love it!

Jessica Chen: Def curious to see updates through your hair journey! Love the positivity~

Reahsah Pagel: girl thank you I’m Cambodian and I’ve been tryna look for some southeast Asian w the same type of hair ☺️☺️

Thu Cúc Nguyễn: Do you apply a different product right after the previous one? Or do you wait for a few minutes so that the components of the products dont get mixed tgt?

Muskan Prasad: Your hair is absolutely beautiful what did you say for what colour you wanted.

erry: I never really understood my hair type because my sister had silky straight hair and my mom always had a straight perm because her hair was just “frizzy”. Thank goodness that frizzy hair is not considered unruly these days :>. We just have wavy hair ! ☺️

Sihara Lee: how do you sleep with it? like do you sleep in a bun, or put it in any type of towel?

Gian Lao: hi hang! i was wondering what is that bottle you use for the water spray? i have the same exact hair as you and I want to get it back to wavy too hehe, thank you in advance!

ΛXΛ.ƧΛПDӨ: Such amazing hair

Val Schmiles: My hair is too short. The back just sits there, straight while the sides wave. So once it's long enough, ill be letting my natural waves through

anaSamak: Queen of wavy hair

Giselle Gonzalez: Try using olapex no 3 it’s a leave in mask! And I love it! We have the same hair type!!

Annesa Hanabila: finally find someone with the same type hairrrrr omggg!

Denisse Cam: "make sure to put it in the roots" proceeds to apply it to the ends

Ana Sufitchi: I suggest check out fortified shampoo for fast hair growth.

•ᴍᴀʙᴇʟ•..: Woah I wish I had your hair

Jana Walker: Super cool :))

dumb dumb: A trick I learned to get rid of the wet frizz is to do the squish to condish method.

sleepless night: I'm too lazy to take care of my hair. My brother and mother both have wavy hairs but they straighten them so I don't even have curly/wavy hair products (it's so hard to find them here). In the end I'm just go with my fritzy hair.

Shalin Patel: Girls :- use 5 different hair products Dudes :- 5 in 1 shampoo

ngh 01: Ur energy is so cute

leanne: LET'S GO VIETS WITH WAVY HAIR

Wendy Guzman: Do you have a list of the products?

Yidi Ma: you're so pretty omg and YESS I ALSO HAVE THIS TYPA WAVY HAIR IT'S NOT STRAIGHT WAVY OR LIKE CURLY??

Melody Moore: I suggest research fast hair growth fortified shampoo.

ELLEBAZI: Hii Hang! What haircut do you do?

Kidu Kyo: You are so sweet!

Sharon G: But how do you sleep so your hair doesn’t look like a mess in the morning ?

Naomi Anna: M'y hair is the same i try not to washed IT more thèn 1 Day a week
