#showerroutine #haircareroutine #pixiecut

FTC Disclosure: I was sponsored by BRIOGEO for this video.

Welcome here, if you didn't know, i love hair and hair care and i'm seriously passionate about hair, which is why i am so excited to bring you guys. My hair care routine, pretty much for, like 20 20. i'll show you the products i use, how i style. My hair, how i trim my nape, i get questions about that all the time and i also realize it's not realistic for everyone to go to a hair salon right now and if you have a pixie cut or short hair. You feel me when this just gets kind of crazy and some ways. Honestly, i just like to style my short kind of pixie cut a huge thank you to briogeo for sponsoring. Today'S video years ago, when i graduated from cosmetology school started working in some hair salons, i'm serious every single salon that i worked in, i bought briochio products brought them into where i was working and use them on my clients and was like you need to use This you need to go, buy this and from them i heard nothing but praises for briochio and a handful of years later. I am working with them and i'm excited to show you guys their aloe and oat milk ultra soothing collection, shampoo, conditioner, detangler, perfect for people with sensitivities. I have a lot of sensitivities when it comes to like food and ingredients in products that i use on my body. I'M very particular i'm very picky, and i love that i can use these products without the fear of breaking out rashes, dryness itchiness. It is so nice to feel comfortable when i shower and to feel comfortable like when i'm done showering and going throughout my day, because there's nothing worse than just an irritated scalp or using products that aren't working for you or benefit you, because it it affects you. It really truly does also since becoming a mom. I have been way more aware of the products that i use on my kids and then in turn on myself, especially because honestly guys self-care for me is like when i shower. That is a huge self-care point. In my routine, so when i shower and when i practice self-care, i want to give myself the best that i can give myself and something that works really well for me. So i'm excited to show you guys my hair, what i do. I do really hope you guys enjoy today's video hit that like button and let's go ahead and get started, i am very slowly growing out my pixie cut to i'm either gon na do a long, pixie cut or a very short bob, but every time i have Ever grown out my hair from very short or like a shaved head kind of look, i make sure to keep my nape, clean and short and well taken care of. You can obviously go to a hairdresser and do this but uh. It'S not realistic for everyone. Right now - and this is just how i do it at home - i think if you are growing your hair out and you're worried about having an awkward stage. One of the best things you can do is make sure your nape is clean and it makes a world of difference. So what i do is just focus on the first inch and a half of my nape, which is the back of your head on your neck. Where your hair starts to grow, so i am taking vertical sections pulling my hair out a little bit and i am trimming just any excess hair that feels bulky that feels thick, i'm doing a little bit of scissor over comb and i'm really taking my time here. You can see, i have a two mirror set up for ease, which i really recommend. So you can see the back of your hair and i do not believe in using blending scissors often, but if you are doing the back of your hair, these are great to invest in because it blurs out bulky lines and gives everything a very smooth. Looking feel when it comes to nape shapes, a lot of people do circular triangular square. I like that soft triangle look and i'm just going in with some little clippers here and taking care of some of these really soft baby hairs. So we're hopping in the shower and we're going to focus in on some products here. So when it comes to products, i look for things that are very easy to use and complement my minimalist hair care routine and also gives me more time in between washes. So here i'm using the riojio aloe and oat milk ultra soothing shampoo. I have a lot of skin sensitivities and the aloe and oat milk collection is dermatologist approved and it is actually formulated for people with skin sensitivities, and this formula is also 98 to 99. Naturally, derived that means this is going to be gentle on your skin. It is super soothing and it is vegan and cruel tea free. Now i'm moving on to the aloe and oat milk ultra soothing conditioner, just like the shampoo and just like the detangler i'll, show you in a little bit here it is free from. Are you ready, i don't think you're ready sit down fragrance lactose soy, essential oils, gluten, harsh sulfates, artificial dyes, silicones and parabens, so i feel great using these products for the conditioner here. I am running it through the ends of my hair right onto my scalp and my roots, because it's just very gentle and soothing a lot of that comes from the oat milk they use in here, which is gluten-free. It also is very rich in omega-6 fatty acids and vitamin b. We also have some green tea for antioxidants and aloe vera, which is very anti-inflammatory and soothing. Next, we're going to be setting my hair, so i'm going to go in with the aloe and oat milk ultra soothing, detangling spray. This is so nice. This works so well. I have very fine hair and you can see just how, like liquidy and light this product is, but still so effective. So you can either put it into your hands like spray it in your hands and run it through your hair, or you can spray it directly onto your hair, whichever one works best for you and then i'm going to run it through my hair. Take my comb and i'm going to set my hair into place. This is very similar like when people would get roller sets. It is pretty much just putting your hair into a shape that it will dry in and then you can either keep it like this or you can style it from here. So i'm combing it into my part. I'M smoothing all my edges down and i'm also kind of giving some texture to the back, we're gon na. Let this air dry and start styling after a couple hours. We back my hair is dry and i can't stop touching it because it is so ridiculously soft and my scalp doesn't feel irritated or like overexposed to things that it just shouldn't be overexposed to. It feels, and you will feel me if you have sensitive skin. It feels comfortable and it doesn't feel tight, i'm going in with my flat iron. This is the only tool i use for styling, my hair. I will change the directions of the curls, but when it gets towards the front of my head, i pull them all backwards. I turn my flat iron 180 degrees to create kind of that loose curl. But then i'll pull it up a little bit through the crown to create more volume. And then my hair is done be sure to head over to riogio.com or sephora.com to purchase the aloe and oat milk ultra soothing collection, i've included the links down below. I want to end this video with showing you guys a few ways how i style the pixie cut, take advantage of the short hair and one of the ways is jewelry. Jewelry looks so good with short hair pixie cut, because you can see it. Oh so well. Also, these cute clips the tortoise shell, stop stop, and then. Lastly, i just i love this bandanna, you can get so many bandanas, even just like at the thrift store. This one has orange slices on it and it's the perfect color and it's perfect for like those dirty hair days too. Thank you guys for being here. Thank you for watching. Let me know down below your hair. What is your hair type, your color, your cut, i'm interested, and if you see someone who has like a very similar kind of description to what your hair is like, they commented it down below, be sure to give that comment a thumbs up. I think that would be really interesting anyway. I love you guys. So much and i'll see you in my next video bye,

Ivy Hammett-Aron: I'm growing out a pixie cut rn and sarah's hair is giving me hope during the mullet stage

Whit & Eva Grace: Don’t have short hair, still gonna watch.‍♀️

Sam F: Anyone else with super long hair now contemplating cutting it all off because this looks SO MUCH EASIER?

Lily Masters: I searched for this literally like an hour ago and then I come back and this shows up! Is that crazy or what!?!?!? I've had a pixie cut for almost a month now and I'm LOVING it!❤ It is so easy to just not even have to brush it! So glad I cut it and I'm sure you feel the same!

Paulina Díaz: I've been watching you and dreaming about me having a pixie cut. About a year and a half ago I started letting my straight, thin, brunette hair grow out to donate it. Was going for a bob, but my husband convinced me for a pixie, so chic, edgy and easy.

princessandrea1979: My hair is super long and curly. I'm going to cut and donate after quarantine. I'm not sure how short I want to go. I've never had short hair. And I appreciate this info. Love ya!

Nicole Price: My hair is literally down to my butt and stick straight, but I still watched this video because Sarah is so inspiring.

Leafy_Thought: You're the only youtuber i trust with product branding, dont let me down on this!

Karen Fisher: I’m a natural blonde (going gray now) and I have been wearing my hair “just kissing” my shoulders for years. My husband offered to trim it (I told him 1” ) and he wound up doing 3”. Oh well. At least the quarantine has kept me hidden. I have to say now that I grew (pardon the pun) to like the shorter bob hair cut. Much easier to style. My hair is frizzy so I heat treat and flat iron. Sarah, you look fantastic with the pixie! Like me, I know you will never let your hair get that long. Most of us ain’t got time for that!

Allyson Kosko: You are the inspiration behind my first ever pixie cut that I got at the end of July and I love it! It makes me feel so polished and put together when I have 30 minutes to get ready with a 1 year old. I have terrible dandruff issues that I haven’t found a color safe/clean beauty/minimalist solution too. Anything you recommend?

Molly Wilson: I just super appreciate how you have matured over the last few years! Keep up the great work God is doing in you, you’ve become a huge encouragement to me! You’ve taught me how to be a better steward of what God has given my husband and I. Also looking into a short haircut and I love this video! prayers my friend!

Melinda Salinas: Love your short hair style. I may try that i instantly fell in love with short hair a while back. I am not one to shrink from cutting my own hair so thanks for the tutorial. Love your channel!

Sarah Harrington: Well you’ve inspired me. This was the last bit of confidence that I needed to actually chop it! Hoping it looks even half as good on me as it does on you!!

Jessica Enyart: This is so helpful! Thank you! I recently got a pixie cut and I’ve been trying to figure out the best way to style it.

Agness Fox: I have a pixie cut now so it's so helpful. Thanks Sarah ❤️❤️❤️

Chelsea Ridley: THANK YOU THANK YOU! I shaved my head in December and my grow out is about the same length and style as yours, so this is super helpful and wonderfully timed!

April S.: Love the bandana look! So cute! I have medium length dark brown hair right now might cut it short but not sure yet... found out through a product I used to use on my hair that changed their ingredients that I'm allergic to argon oil. Makes my scalp feel like its been sunburned. So I know those irritating skin sensitivities!

Wioletta Żuchowicz: I so understand the nape thing. Or the mullet thing. I buzzed my hair a while ago, am growing in out for 4 months now, and a month ago was the first time I cut my mullet. When I left my hair dresser I felt so pretty and like done SNAP, but now I wanna go in again maybe I will wait till the end of the month. 3 more weeks I use great shampoo with white clay from fitokosmetik and for moisturising i use hair food mask from garnier fructis. I actually dont style my hair, its wavy so I let it air dry and I just roll with however it looks Sometimes I use a hair pin to get more control (7cm length, I need all control I can get ). Love this video, thank you so much for sharing your hair routine with us!

Brittani Lawlis: Love this! I just shaved my hair and donated 20 inches so this will be good info when it starts growing out

M Ramirez: I have been waiting for this! Cruelty free, vegan, safe to use, and for sensitive skin? Yay!!

Anais Gonzalez Nyberg: I have thick, dark dark brown hair, and I just cut it into a pixie for the first time. It is SO MUCH FUN! Highly recommend, I was on the fence for awhile and have no regrets.

TillysTelly: I have dirty blonde hair with some wave, working on keeping my second pixie from mulleting as it grows. I love having very short hair in this season with little children but miss the length I had as a teen. I'm going back for a visit, but pretty sure I'll be back to Pixie Land eventually. Thanks for your beautiful, helpful, God-glorifying content, Sarah. I feel certain we'd be friends if we had the opportunity. Blessings, and greetings from Iowa, USA.

Ruth Beasley: I have very thick curly hair and still enjoyed this video! it was just so calming and nice to watch even though it wasn't created for my hair type.

Danny McNeal: Sarah's tips are great and she's so cute.

sarah kholusi: You inspire me a lot as a wife & as a mother, God bless you ♥️ my first video that I watched on your channel was from the wife talk series ... and I admired your mindset about marriage & motherhood

Gabriela B: I just wanted to say that shampoo has an ingredient called cocamidopropyl betaine in it, which is a delicate washing substance, but a lot of people can be allergic to that so take that into consideration when you are choosing to buy it. And conditioner and detangling spray both have benzyl alcohol and the end of the ingredients list which can irritate and also cause allergic reactions.

Lukah Malley: Hey Sarah! Have you ever tried beauty by Earth's skincare? It feel super gentle and is all organic and cruelty free!

Karen Burke: Thanks for your suggestions for an itchy, sensitive scalp, and body! My hair is very similar to your cut.

ChrissyMarieeVlogs: So sweet and I love the pixie cut!! My hair is thick, curly, long, and ombre brown and red tip!!

PeterandNaomi Hodgetts: I want to be brave with the thinning scissors especially as it it is 34 degrees plus here in the U.K.! You were very skillful cutting the back of your hair. Loved this vlog (nearly said video, I am 47 years old lol) Thanks for such good content Sarah. x

Gabrielle Nielson: I watched your p-life video & I wanted to say you laid down points that were new to me or at least expressed in the way I hadn't encountered before. I am really glad you posted it and I love your videos

Lauren Bleyle: I literally Struggle!!! With sensitive skin issues. I am ordering some of this right now! I also have a short hair cut semi pixie / bobish idk what.

Aleksandra Antic: I have a pixie cut and I was just thinking about the ways to style it and, while thinking about it, I started scrolling through my youtube notifications and there you were with this video! Needless to say, I was very pleasantly surprised and the video is very informative, so thank you for filming this one. :D

FriendofHobo: I’m about to get a pixie cut, this is helpful as I’ve never had short hair.

Violy Lucero: Right now, my hair is too short.hehe. But, I am excited to make a pixie cut soon. Thanks for this Sarah. God bless you more. (from the Philippines)

Rebekka Venoy: Debating on cutting my hair and giving my hair a break. This is the push I needed.

Brooke Price: You are so beautiful with short hair. I love how you style it and you just look so beautiful with short hair!

Alyssa Morgan: I have shoulder length hair and absolutely LOVE it easy to curl and style! And it suits my face shape. I used to have my hair past my butt in high school but chopped it my senior year and haven’t looked back. I love your pixie cut, but I don’t think it would look good on me plus I would miss braiding my hair too much

Rachel Leigh: I've really been considering chopping my hair off for months and I feel like this video is going to make me go for it

The old account that I used to use: Curly hair, somewhere between 2c and 3a. I had a pixie cut once, and when I grew it out I had my hairdresser shave underneath (one time she even did a design in it), but it was still awkward until I was able to put it in a ponytail. I think that was due to the fact that this is the only way I really know how to style my hair haha

Kenia: I love your hair <3, it perfectly suits you. Greetings from Mexico :)

Euge Gutierrez: I cut my hair just like you when I started see your videos, so I have waiting this video for sooo long. I just love your style♥️

Hannah Rehm: I love you and trust your advice so much I bought a foreo, the antonym bronzer, cover fx powder foundation, the burts bees mascara... I wish your recommendations weren't so expensive hahaha ! ❤❤ I'm going broke!

lisbeth leukert: I have a pixie cut! I actually cut my hair so short since back when you shaved your hair i was so inspired ☺️☺️☺️

Normality Beer Soap: I have that crazy kinky curly hair. I have finally grown it out to my shoulders after shaving it all off two and a half years ago. Color, dark brown with a little salt thrown in. It has taken me forever to let be my hair. But I really love it now.

Lusine Grigoryan: Positivity literally flows out of you❤❤

Mariah Canton: Yes!!! I just cut my hair like yours and I've been wondering how you style it!!

Audrey McLaughlin: This video was awesome. I have thick waist length very wavy hair! I am defiantly going to check out that detangler.

hey galeeh: the way you do the haircut seems effortless ♥️ even it must be get trained after years. I always want to try cut my hair on my own but still afraid cause I don't have any sense of hairstyling

gmfuhlman1: Sarah, I have baby fine hair. I used to have shoulder-length hair. But I was finding that my hair just doesn't seem to do well with lots of heat. I decided to make a change, and I now have a pixie cut now and I love it.

Nina Pavić: After many years of long hair I cut it in short pixie mix bob. Love it ♥️ You have lovely hair.. thank you for your video. Love you

Christine D: Sarah you are just so precious, love your hair Loveeeeee it❤️

Havva Alexander: Great vid! I have longer hair now but I always cut it myself. I have chopped it off into a bob more than once.

Black Forest Girl in Oz: I honestly wish I could have you cut my hair. Just wen from a long bob to pixie (have done this before and loved it!) but this time the hairdresser just went to town with the blending scissors and as a result I cannot get my hair stay in a style! It’s bloody awful. It was the most expensive haircut of my life. And it was so not worth it!

kayla gladfelter: random question: what do you do for birthdays/birthday presents in your household. Birthdays are the times i collect so many things I don’t exactly enjoy or need because I feel bad if I get rid of things other people bought that i’m not in love with

Tsippora: You've mentioned your epilator multiple times in the past, and I'm looking into getting one, and I'd love to know what brand you use!

Anna Rocha: I love your short hair. However my short hair routine involves washing it whenever I happen to think about it and wishing I had my butt length mermaid hair back

user: I shaved my hair because I loved how it looked on Sarah, also to make all my hair length even because I have alopecia areata and my hair was growing in at different lengths. Btw, I have Asian STICK STRAIGHT hair and it’s fuzzy...not nice and laid like Sarah’s lol

Mathilde G: I just got a pixie cut, and so this video comes at the perfect time

Kirby Lewis: I have long thick wavy/curly hair. During the hottest part of summer it mostly stays up in a ponytail or bun but during the winter I love to braid it or straighten it and wear it down.

JoAnn Baca: Thick, coarse, wavy, colored hair, with an oily scalp. Have to shampoo every day. I take a break on weekends if I'm staying home. I love your videos! ❤

persis kamala: Hair vlog yayyyy.... I love it coz my hair is 2 metres long and I too like taking care of it, washing and styling hair is always fun to do

Lena English: My hairstyle is almost exactly like yours. And I hear you about the nape. It’s a real thing. My hair is probably twice as thick as yours, so it gets poofy when it gets time for a cut. Speaking of which, it’s about that time again!

JoanKSX: Awww I hope the pandemic has ended already I love long pixies especially asymmetrical and choppy one but I'm scare to visit any salon, ended up have to stuck with my shoulder length blunt bob urghhh. And to ease my own self hair cutting, I decided to keep the length at least the armpit length, blunt cut! I have 1b/1c Asian straight, stiff but dry brittle frizzy rebellious hair and little sensitive scalp (I caught big bumpy acnes scalp with Pantene and Dove hair shampoo, very dreadful tightness scalp and super dried-out frizzy hair with Head and Shoulder, tiny weird little itchiness here and there with Follow Me Extra Mild 4-in-1 hair shampoo... I seriously have no idea what to use anymore XD) with little hair fall problem...

Hannah Fullerton: That’s it... I’m growing out my pixie!!

Juliette Reiland: Wavy/curly, coarse and shoulder length right now. I just decided to cut it shorter than normal two months ago and love it most days. I’m also trying to do less color on my 51 year-old (been graying since early 20’s) and naturally gray a bit.

bee c: i have severe sensitive skin too. i’ve been looking for a GREAT all natural, paraben free deodorant. do you have any recommendations of anything you might know of or do know of?

Rebekah Jones: I got medium length fine wavy/ curly hair, trying to grow it out

Diana Schulz: I have the same kind of hair you have. It is a full head of fine hair that is several decades older than yours - so it is partially gray. I clipped my hair short to the scalp ( what YouTube folks call "shaving" their head) in 2012 and have kept it that style ever since. I am so spoiled by how easy it is to truly have a "no maintenance" style! I sweat a lot, so washing my hair to deal with that would only wash the life out of my fine and turning gray hair. I don't want to color it. It is a waste on short hair as this is, and for anyone who sweats like I do and therefore feels the need to wash it. I don't think I can have a simpler "do" than clipping it, which I can do myself or I can go to a friend's local salon if I'd rather. It costs very little at a salon to keep trimming this kind of clipped hair style. Life is good! Your hair looks adorable and you are very good at keeping the back up. It is difficult to do a good job of "scissors over comb" blending when you can see what you are doing! So you have got the feel of it down well! Love to you and your family! XOXOXO

Patricia Britton: The pixie cute looks good on you Sarah. I can do short hair but I think that a bob about shoulder length looks the best on me or I like long hair on myself. I am 52 and certain hair styles I think do help with making us look younger. You are right short hair does look great with earrings. The real big earrings you wear at times that are round looks good with your short hair.

Rhubarb and Roots: So pretty! I love that style on you!

LinneaWidd: I have the exact same hair and style it the same! That’s awesome

Sincerely, Mrs. Griffin: I have a curly perm (wave nouveau) and that is also the focus of my YouTube channel. I love it!

Ingrid Guimarães Dantas: Much love from Brazil Sis ❤

Kathryn Lara: I have long curly wavy frizzy hair to my lower back. Im struggling with thinning and receding because I had to stop talking vitamins with iron. My liver holds on to iron. I recently switched to a shampoo bar from Shea and its lovely but Im not convinced. my hair still feels heavy with product.

Rebekah Harrison: My hair is super thick and wavy. It reaches the bottom of my shoulder blades, and it is a light brown. But it sun-bleaches, especially in the summer

Clara North: I have thick, wavy, dirty blonde hair that is a little past my shoulders with some layering. If I don’t have it layered, it looks super poofy and weird at the bottom. I definitely need to get the layers cleaned up though because of quarantine!

l shaw: Hola muchacha hermosa! Me encanta tu canal! Abrazos desde México

Bethany Henderson: I adore this hair style! Also, P!nks hair style, like the short badass rocker chick. Have you tried those cute Mohawk-type braids now that the tops growing out? I cannot pull off the short hair(my head is TOO big, seriously) but I used to try back in my goth pre-teen years now I embrace the mermaid hair the Good Lord Blessed me with! Never dyed it either, I am waiting for the greys to hit and then watch out-it will be rainbow. I think my hair color is beautiful and is the only one that suites me ☺️

DramateyesMe1: Giiiirl, you make me want my pixie cut again. But I promised myself I wouldn't for another 3 years, so... I'm not going to. Especially while still in pandemic mode

Liz Molloy: I have fine, curly hair, and long to just after my shoulders because I haven't had my hair cut since March due to lock down and really undecided how I want my hair. I'm not very good at doing hair. But I do have a problem when I shower the amount of hair I loose is crazy, and my parting is spacious, but when my hair drys the curls hide those areas which is cool.

Barbara N: I LOVE THIS. Sarah, you are so radiant and beautiful

Kari Woodruff: I have long hair and it’s thinned our since I had my hysterectomy back in 2016. I am on the plus size side and I’m uncomfortable with neck and short hair. I am blonde and I would love some tips! Thanks

lucciana lewis: Sounds good that bridgeo has a new line of haircare products without silicone specially aloe Vera and oatmeal.

V3gan Br33: Love these Videos!!!

Devan S: I so want a pixie cut but scared to go that short. Great video

Indigem M: loveeeee your pixie cut so adorable love you!!!

Malou Plata: Great hair routine my loves.. Keep it up

Maria Yo: the list of non-ingredients is awesome (even no soy and gluten)..think about trying this

Angie: Sarah: I have a question: Since buzzing my hair off last December, I've had an itchy scalp (non-stop). Its not related to stress, diet, and/or change of products. My scalp has NEVER been itchy for the first 43 years of my life. Now, ever since I buzzed my hair, my scalp itches everyday. Yesterday, I put undiluted apple cider vinegar (doesn't burn) on my hair with 15 drops of tea tree oil after I shampooed. Hoping this starts to take the itchiness down. Any suggestions? Did this happen to you when you shaved/buzzed your hair in the past??? Thx.

Kesh 4: I don't have so short hair but my hair is till my shoulders ,but I loved how you styled your hair

Kelly Van Diessen: My hair is red, long and wavy/ curls. Nice video as always :)

WiKiWi: My hair doesn't grow back due to excessive chemo and inflammation of my scalp and hair-roots. only 30 % or so grows back. So I have to shave it or else it will just look awful. Now when I see your beautiful pixxy cut, I wish, now more than ever for it to grow back. ☹️ Because it really looks absolutely gorgeous!! ❤️ But you are overall an amazingly, crazy beautiful person!! Your face, body, hair, your eyes (my God your eyes!!! ) but also your calm and kind, sweet and smart personality is gorgeous ❤️ Much love from the Netherlands

Erin B: My hair is down to my bellybutton and very damaged but its my security blanket lmaoo will definitely be trying out these products!

Lourdes Diaz: I have thick wavy hair and I shaved it two months ago. How Long did it take you to have that length?

Julia Hoyes: Your editing so beautifuland you ROCK the pixie, girlfriend!!!!

Rashmi k.murthy: I love your video. Super hair cut.. you look awesome in this cut. I have shoulder length hair.. after my child was born I lost a lot of my hair.. since in this situation. as of now it's very messy and very oily. I like to keep the length.Evey 15 days I use methi paste .. lighter ph shampoo.. Please suggest how do I go about it. Thank you.

Anna Jo Sigmundik: So cute! Never wanted a pixi because I do not think I could pull it off, but you do it such good justice and almost make me want to consider it

jmsl 910: olympic level adorable bonus: she's informative!!

Samantha Fedor: A little past shoulder length wavy hair. Medium brown with a copper red balayage. Supper fine very dense hair! I love to use products that are light weight and moisturizing!
