Omg guys, I have unlocked the secret recipe of the young woman's rice water. I promise you. This is literally the best rice water I have ever made. Does this not look like some kind of milk or something I have unlocked this secret recipe from the young women for long strong, healthy, thick hair with the rice water? If you guys want to see exactly how I made the rice water, how to use it in your hair, all the benefits and all that then make sure you keep watching all the way to the end and I'm actually doing a rice water series this time. So I will have so many different kinds of rice water videos. So if you love rice water as much as I do and other natural hair, hacks and so much more consider subscribing the subscription button is right down there as well as the Bell. I can't make sure you hit the bell so that the next time I post a rice, water, video or just another natural hair, video you'll, get the notification. Let'S get straight into the video. Now I did my research, I watched documentaries. I saw all these different Yahoo women talking because I wanted the secret sauce right from the source, so I found a lot of documentaries. I found interviews from vogue with the young women and all that people have actually visited the village which is in China, and I found out a lot and one of the main things I found out was their secret recipe for rice water. Now, if you've watched any of my older videos, I was always like I'm never gon na use citrus in my rice, water. I'M never going to do this, but I found the secret to do it. We are going to go directly into making the rice water and, by the way, the citrus fruits, so just in case this is the first time you're watching me or the first time you are watching a rice, water, video rice, water is extremely beneficial for hair growth And it is beneficial because it has vitamins e vitamin C vitamin B, which are basically the Beauty vitamins and they are amazing for your hair and the way they are in the rice. Water there's also a lot of amino acids, so they can easily penetrate your hair. Shaft - and this is not just regular rice water, apart from it being the secret recipe from the Yahoo women, it is also fermented which they are women do. It is fermented rice, water and once the rice ferments, it creates Patera and rice already has in Naruto, but it just enhances the inositol when you ferment the rice - and this is the one ingredient that really penetrates your hair shaft. It can help strengthen and protect your hair from the inside out guys. I am literally so amazed. I have just washed my hair after using this rice water for the first time. There is absolutely nothing in my hair, except hair, gel on these little hairs that are down here. So now, let's get straight into exactly how to make this rice, water and then we'll come back okay, so we are starting with one and a half cups of rice. This is plain rice on my aunts farm. Actually, it is just Zambian rice, it is organic rice. There is nothing, that's been added to it. The young women say that sticky rice is actually the best rice for rice water, and this is the closest thing I have to it. I guess sushi rice will be the next closest thing, but I would just suggest you use any organic white rice. Even the type of rice you can use for rice pudding would be great because it's nice and sticky and very starchy. So right now I just rinsed the rice, water and you can see there's just little like dirt and particles coming out. As you can see, this is not like packaged rice, it's straight from the farm, so this is my favorite rice to use and now I'm just putting it in this glass jar. It is just like an old pickle jar and now I'm getting this warm water. You don't want boiling water and I'm using this cup and I'm putting about eight and a half cups of water. Basically, I just wanted to fill it up, but in case you wanted actual measurements. It was one-and-a-half cups of rice and eight cups of water, and now it is time to add the secret ingredient of the yellow women. They use a pomelo fruit. Now pomelo fruit is not accessible here and it's not a common fruit. So the closest thing to pomelo fruit is not actually oranges, it's actually a grapefruit. So I bought a grapefruit and I am just peeling it and as you peel it, you want to make sure that you don't get any part of the citrusy part. You know the inside part, and you see I accidentally peel the piece of that onto this part and I'm just using the knife to get all that out, because citrus can damage your hair, especially if it's in the light right now, I'm not really outside. So this is why I was safe to try it now, because I know I'm in the house for the next like month. Still so you want to make sure, even if you're in the house, you still don't want any of that in your in your rice, water. You strictly only want the peels and, as you can see, I made sure that the peels were completely clean and if you are not as skilled as I am with a knife, I'd suggest you use some kind of a peeler just to make sure that you peel That you peel really nicely, and you don't get any of the inside part of the grapefruit and here is where I'm also making a slight alteration at this point. This is where the Yahoo women would boil just the water and the orange peels and then leave it to dry and then leave it to ferment. I still stand by what I say boiling the rice. Water will denature the vitamins, so I will still not boil them, which is why I used warm water. Here is my other secret ingredient. I am using fresh mint who ever watched any rice, water, video on my channel. You know, I always add peppermint oil, but for this one I thought, since we are going off fancy and trying things, I'm going to add some actual mint. So I store that in a dark cupboard, and this is the result. 5 days later, you can see that it looks very bubbly and stuff. Those bubbles coming up just show how fermented it is, and now I'm taking out all those peels and the mint leaves with a Tong. You can use your hands, but I feel queasy touching things like this, so I didn't want to touch it and the rice and the Yahoo women actually ferment their water for up to one month and I was like I would never do that. But after smelling this, it literally just smells like grapefruit. If you want me to try that, let me know so now, I'm emptying all this into a bowl, and I am massaging the rice. This is my secret to getting all the nutrients out of the rice. You want to keep massaging and kneading the rice, literally for a 4, 5 minutes or more. I rub the rice in between my hands and I also massage it in one hand, as you guys can see, I was showing you both ways, so you could see it and I continue to do this, and can you see the change in the rice water? This was about 5 to 6 minutes later it literally looks like milk. When I put my finger when I put my hands in, you can't even see my hands in the water. If you've never tried this, I suggest you try this. You don't need to boil the water to get the stick to get to this point. So now, I'm just getting a funnel and I'm pouring some into the spray bottle that I'll be using to spray the rice water into my hair. Later on in this video and the rest of the way and the rest of the rice, water, that will remain, I will go ahead and store that in the fridge, but now to the one, I'm spraying in my hair, I'm adding my favorite peppermint oil. I literally use any peppermint oil available. It'S basically all the same thing as long as it is from a trusted source and then I'm adding tea tree oil as well. I added about 10 drops of each. You can add five drops if your if you're a little bit sensitive, I like my rice water to feel very tingly on my scalp, so I went ahead and used that amount, and that is what it looks. Like literally looks like milk. I am so amazed. This is literally the best rice water I have ever made so the rest of it right now. I am sieving into a jar because I don't want any particles or anything to go into my hair later on. At this point, we've already used all the benefits of the rice. We do not need it anymore, so now I'm just going to keep it like that, and I'm going to do what I did to the rice. That was in my spray bottle to the rice in the jar, except I'm putting more because it's a lot, I'm putting about 20, almost 20 drops of peppermint oil and about 15 drops of the tea tree oil and then, as you saw, that was a lot of Rice, it is very concentrated so now I'm just filling the jar again all the way to the top, and if you try this and you feel like it's still too concentrated for you, you can still go ahead and dilute it again or you can just use less Than half of the recipe that I used, I'm using it and I'm my mom is also using it. So that's why I made this much okay, so now it is time to apply the rice water to my hair. As you can see, this is the last day of my straight hair. I have had it for over three weeks now and I'm tired of it time to wash my hair. I am ready to get back to my rice, water, not to mention I did trim my hair a little bit so we're trying to get that growth back so straight to the application. I'M going to divide my hair, just how I usually do, and a lot of people always ask me this question: when is the best time to spray the rice water in this video, I'm going to get as close as possible to what they all women do to Their hair to my own hair, because that is the purpose of this video, so first of all, yah women have very straight Shanee silky hair. I do not so I will not be spraying this all over my hair at once. The alteration I'm making is sectioning. My hair, as I always do, actually just use my hands and also, as you can see, I'm using this as a pre-poo. I am using it on dry hair. This is also how they all women do their hair. They put rice water straight onto their dry hair, which is exactly what I will be doing, I'm just so amazed by the fact that there is literally no rice, water smell the usual funky rice water. If you've ever made rice water, you know it has a certain smell. It doesn't last in your hair for a long time, but you can't smell it. This one just smells slightly citrusy. It has a beautiful smell. Okay, I probably have to section this even more so now I will start with the back, and this will be my first section. The hair clips I'm using are the crocodile clips they are from from our, I believe, that's the name of it I'll link them in the comments section below they are my favorite sectioning hair clips right now I got them on Amazon. It was a pack of like six or eight. This is my rice water. As you can see, it looks like milk beautiful smells amazing. I will start to spray it onto my hair, also time to see if we got any heat damage. I know I didn't get any heat damage, because you know I'm careful, oh my god, it feels i swear ever not the secret yeah. It feels so good. It literally feels like a leave-in conditioner. It'S got a lot of slip to it. I love the way peppermint and tea tree oil feels on my scalp, so I always put some on my scalp and massage it in the yeah women also just dip all their hair in the water. They don't spray it on. So the best thing for me would be like to go in the shower or whatever get a dish and just dunk my hair inside the water. But for the purpose of this video I mean I wouldn't be able to film that properly and I think for me I, like spraying it in because it's just even distribution, I'm still going to get the same amount of rice, water on my hair and focus a Lot on my end as well, so it's really not a big deal. I don't think that's a big deal so now what I'm going to do is twist this up and when it's time to wash my hair, I'm actually going to wash my hair in the twists. So now I'm going to do this to all the rest of my hair and then I'll be back on camera. Okay. So now I am doing the last twist and, as you can see, some of the rest of my twists aren't completely reverted yet because I didn't bother to wait for it to revert it's going to revert with this water and while this rice water is sitting in My hair, so I'm not bothered right now, I'm just combing the rice water through making sure that my hair is completely saturated with the rice water. So now, as soon as this is done, the yah women actually leave this in their hair for 20 minutes. Only 20 minutes not longer, they never leave it in overnight. They just leave it in there for 20 minutes, and then they wash it out now for me, because my hair texture is not like the Yahoo women in my doesn't absorb water in nutrients and stuff, like that as fast as my hair is currently and not bone Straight, I will be going under a dryer, but still only for 20 minutes. This is the dryer I'm using it comes in this bag, the best hair dryer of all time it is the Ronson escort mm, I'm just kidding this hair dryer is literally older than me. It is so old, but it does the job you can use any hair dryer any heating cap, at least for my poor city and texture up here. I always I always need additional heat, so I'm just taking these little clips down and I am just going to kind of tie them up together only because I don't want the water to be dripping off the ends and down on to me and just doing a Really loose knot like this, then I'm going ahead and spraying that ends again to make sure they are completely saturated. It doesn't feel as I want, and if you are using my recipe of rice water, then you want to make sure it does not go into your eyes because it has me and unless you like your eyes stinging, you won't want that. My scalp is tingling. It feels amazing okay. So now there is this little cap. I like this one cuz the inside is microfiber. The outside is plastic so to dry out hair. You can use it like this and tip addition. Okay, so now this is staying on for 20 minutes. Under my amazing escrow mm dryer, and then I am going to go wash my hair now I know I haven't washed my hair in basically three weeks because my hair has been straight and of course, natural hair. We'Re not going to watch out we're not going to wash our hair when it's straight, but the Yahoo women actually do not use shampoo ever so. I can't go without using shampoo, but I will at least use a conditioner, so this is like my first shampoo stage. My pre-poo and then to wash my hair, I'm not going to use any shampoo, I'm just going to use this Aussie 3 minute miracle, and this literally is like the the thing in this video that you can change with anything literally use any cheap conditioner that you Have to wash your hair if you're going to copy what I'm doing I'm going to Co wash with this, and then I will deep conditioned with you know what it is. If you're, not you to this channel, my shea moisture, manuka, honey, intensive hydration and then once that is done I'll be back on camera, so you guys can see the immediate results. Okay, so I just washed my hair, there's absolutely nothing in it and you can see my hair is looking great. I have no heat damage. Thank you very much and guys. Oh, my god. This rice water is the truth. It is the secret sauce. My hair felt well. It still feels that way, but I'm talking about when I was rinsing, the the rice, water and my conditioner out of my hair. The slip is amazing. My in the individual hair strands feel so smooth literally the smoothest my hair has ever felt as I was detangling. The hair shaft is so smooth like, as I was combing through my hair. It just felt so nice even right now. It still has some slip like I said, there's absolutely nothing in my hair. You can't really see it. Maybe if I come a little close, but the individual little hairs are pretty defined as well. For my hair, if you know my hair, it not curl easily, I'm so excited. This has definitely done an amazing job and while I was doing the rice water, I think I explained that the yah women actually leave their rice to ferment for three weeks to one month, and I thought I would never ever even try to go that route. But since I used the grapefruit, it literally absorbed all the smell. It has nothing funky to it. So if you want me to try the proper yao fermentation process which takes about three to four weeks, please comment the little rice emoji or the little rice bowl emoji. In the comment section below and give this video a thumbs up, so I know that you guys want that video. So now, what I'm going to do with my hair is basically a version of what they young women do with their hair, so what they do after they dip it in the rice, water and whatever they wrap their hair in one like big twists, not even with Two strands just one like wrap around twists. In fact, I would start a little video of them doing it here. They wrap it all around their heads and then they just keep it like that now you know I have curly hair there's no way. I could do that with my hair, even if it was that long. So what I'm going to do with my hair is, I will go ahead and moisturize it the way I always do. I will use the shea moisture, coconut and shine conditioner and then I will go over then I'll go over with my oil mix. If you haven't seen my all mix my oil mix video, I will link it in the description box below, so you can check that out. That'S what I'll use to moisturize my hair and I'll literally do the exact same twists. I did when I was spraying the rice water. I almost motorized my hair. Just like that. Then I will leave my hair in those twists for two weeks. So after one week I'm going to go ahead and do exactly what I did with my remaining rice, water, which will be stored in the fridge, I'm not going to use it the entire week. I'M only going to use it on my wash day one week from now. I will do the exact same thing. I did today wash my hair in the twist rinse out the rice. Water do the same routine, and then I will make another video two weeks from now to show my results to see if my hair has grown. I will also do some measurements, there's no point in putting them in this video. I guess because they will be in the other video, so I'm going to measure my hair with a measuring tape, see how long my hair is. I don't want to make this video too long in two weeks from now come back with my second video, where I'm going to have my measurements and see the results of using the sir ice water for two weeks, we'll see if it's going to make my hair Thicker shinier stronger even longer, let's see I'm very excited so if that seems like a video you might want to see in the next two weeks. So we can see what this magical rice water does. Thank you so much for watching and if you didn't hit a subscribe button down there, you can just hit my face there. It'Ll do the same thing and watch the two videos on the side of the screen right here. If you might be interested in those. Thank you so much for watching and I'll see you guys in my next video

sade watkins: I deff wanna see what it would look like with 3 weeks of fermenting. also loved the recipe I'm seriously gonna try this rice water thing now. subbed <3

Rina Wallace: Great video! I am in and will start the process this week. Two questions for you: 1. Have you found that using rice water as a pre-poo, instead of a rinse, helps with combating dryness? 2. What do you think about using organic brown rice, as opposed to white rice? I just bought brown rice because it, along with black rice as you know, are touted to have more nutrients. Thanks much.

WLHMC ALLNATURAL: I have done a video about this on my channel, thanks Angie for the upload. let me tell you, it works like crazy. My hair is growing like crazy, l do the rice water with orange peels every week as a rinse, l am amazed with growth, and l also spray rice water everyday on my cornrow style.

Anita Jackson: Angie I loved your channel..You should have more subscribers. You are very informative. Last year I did a 3 months rice water challenge because my hair was damaged and thinning. I had so much hair shedding. After the 3 months rice water my hair grew so much and I got my hair thickness back. And I didnt have a lot of shedding. My hair is bra length now. I want my hair to grow longer so I will try your rice water challenge. Keep up the good work on bringing us good videos.

Deajshia Howard: I love your videos! I tried the rice water with twists for 7 days so much growth. Going to the store now

Jamaican blackqueen: Looking beautiful sista. I started my rice water treatment yesterday. My edges need ASAP rescue and hair to be healthy again. That's again for a great video.

Nahosi Bowa: Okay, so I’m a Zambian girl, I’ve been watching your videos and I noticed something in your accent, are you Zambian too?! Plus I noticed you’re using Zambian rice. I just get so hyped when I see Zambian youtubers!

Valerie Esiso: yes please try the month long fermented alternative . Can’t wait to see the results. Thanks

Nikki Wallace: This rice water hair growth treatment regimen is interesting! I might try it one day! Thanks for the tips!

maria pertusi: You have beautiful hair, God bless. I would absolutely love to see you try the 4 week fermented rice treatment. Blessings

Dayleeyah Kalonji: ohhh, this is good, I didn't think to rub up the rice...I have to try this. I usually use warm aloe juice to ferment, just for additional moisture, sometimes I warm rosewater. I dilute the rice water with steeped herbs for additional benefits. Awesome video.

Wynne: I am so going for it for sure. Will start preparations tomorrow. Thank you

Iggy K: How long do you store the other water for? And do you Store it in the freezer?

Maria Amiccy: Hey thank you so much for this video. A quick question please. If I don't have the dryer like you, what would your advise be? Is a shower cap enough? And what period would you suggest that I stay with the rice water on my hair, considering my Hair is the type that shrinks upon washing?

wyntormoon: Ok, hi there, loving these videos. I commented on some of your older ones, but nice to see an updated one. I have short hair, was a pixie cut till lockdown, and finally at that stage to try this. I just made my rice water this morning (July 1st) and will take out on Friday (July 3rd). What I want to know is once I wash and condition get everything out, do I let my hair just dry naturally, and then spray this on at night. Let dry, and do again for the next several days? My hair isn't long enough to braid yet. Please help, that's the only thing I am not sure of is how to do with short hair, and how often. Thank you

She Is Jaala: The one month fermented rice water would be interesting to see.

Abisola Jide-Ojo: Hi Angie, I love your hair. Just to be sure, is it advisable to use the rice water everyday? Can I use just rice water if I can't access a grapefruit? And can I use the rice water if my hair is in small twists?

kde2011: Love the video (and that you say literally a lot lol) I still have my rice water fermenting, it been about a month or so and still doesn’t stink you should try it.

Erica Ami: Hi Angiebee Can you tell me if I can massage rice water on my (bald edges) for about 10 minutes a day? Can I leave the rice water on my edges for a week and then wash it out? I am basically trying to focus on my edges at the time. I have been massaging with JBCO onion and garlic juice and I see some growth! Can I mix rice water, onion and garlic juice to make a rinse and use? I am counting on you Angiebee. Please advise. Danke.

Kalyn Sowards: Okay I have very curly and frizzy hair, and everytime Ive seen this rice water stuff its been with extremely straight hair. Very excited to watch this

sachiaiko: . Most of the recipes I've seen tell u to discard the rice BEFORE fermentation. I just made my first batch but discarded after scrubbing in warm water, then aadded my grapefruit etc but without the rice. So I am curious to see ur method. I'm doing this for myself (I'm unwell and loose my hair almost yearly. It's a pain in the rump, but at least it DOES grow back.) And my God other also has some hair issues, she for one doesn't want to go grey lol :-)

Margaret: Hi Angie Thanks for this... but What if I want to do a clay mask for my hair, do I do rice water before or after.. since the clay mask serves as shampoo for cleaning the hair.. your answer would help :)

MsAvalon25: can’t wait to see the results! Oolala that is one of my favorite deep conditioners also!!

Fateha Khali: Thank you for this video..how many times do you use rice wather? It better to boil the rice wather or not? Thank you

Gile V: I see. These steps are quite different than the Yao women. I was really hoping see if you were able to replicate it as much as possible as you said. But if you're getting results that's what counts.

TheOfficialBigmood: HOW MANY TIMES DO YOU WASH YOUR HAIR WITH RICE WATER PER WEEK?

Blue Angel: Tried it...put the rice water in a dark cupboard almost three weeks ago. Just went to give it the shake/mix and it has mound.

Siphokazi Ntshingwa: Hey gal,may I ask when you co-wash,shampooing, conditioning or deep conditioning your hair do you use cold ,luke warm or hot water? Coz I've been washing my hair with hot water when ever I do my hair wash routine

Val Willman: AND IT DOES WORK!!

ADEYEMO PRAISE: Hey Angie. I love what you do. I just want to ask is it necessary to add any oil? Can't you just use the rice water that way?

Nicole Madjo: Your hair is flawless ❤️❤️❤️

Jacquelyne Howard: Does the rice water work for people with Alopecia? I have done 6 days applying Rice water the washing it on the 6th day with Silicon Mix shampoo and conditioner.

Tabita Nontsasa: Can I use spekko rice or tastic rice when doing the rice water

Victory Aghanya: can’t wait to see ur results ✨
