Hi guys welcome back to my channel or welcome if you're new, my name is melinda, so in today's video i'm going to be trying out a bar, shampoo and conditioner on my wavy hair. So i'm very excited to try this out. I'Ve been watching a lot of sedona. Christina, i think, is how you say her name. I'Ve been watching a lot of her videos on youtube um. I will have her channel linked down below because she's been really inspiring me with her sustainable hair care videos and if you don't know september, is sustainability month. So i thought it'd be the perfect time to try these products out also going right along with being sustainable. Today'S video is actually sponsored by anna louisa, so i'm really excited to be working with them again. You guys, if you've been watching me for a while. You know that i've worked with them on a bunch of other videos in the past and i love them. Oh wait: let me tell you what they are. So if you don't know, anna louisa is a sustainable jewelry company and you guys they literally have the cutest jewelry of my life. Like i'm, not even kidding you, okay, let me just show you what i have so i have three pieces to show you today. Two of these pieces are like like okay, i love all three, but two of them in particular, are my favorite of all time. All right, let me just show you okay, so my first one that is my fave is this little chain. I love chains. They are so cute when you're stacking necklaces and i just love how thick this one is. So this one's called the morgan wide chain and it is 59.. That'S one thing i love about. Anna louisa is a lot of their necklaces. Look so cute when you stack them and that's how i wear them every single time and this chain is such a cute. Like staple it looks really good on its own, but it's also really cute when you stack it and i feel like it's kind of like cool and grungy, because it's like a thicker chain, it's not like super dainty and i'm in love with it. The second piece that i have is the alexa sunshine necklace. So that's what i'm wearing right here under the chain. This one is also 59 and it's so freaking, pretty you guys and then the third piece that i have okay. This is the other one. I was saying, is my favorite you guys this ring kills me, so this is called the michelle signet ring and i'm literally obsessed look at it focus oh okay, never mind this ring is 85 and it's freaking, so cool like i literally i painted my nails just To match it and i feel so cool with this ring on. I almost got this ring so long ago and i never did and i could have been enjoying it this whole time but anyways. I have it now so who really cares, but i love their stuff. I'M also wearing two of their other rings. You guys, i wear their jewelry literally non-stop, it's so cute, but if you want you can use my code melinda 10 to get 10 off your order. If you want to pick up some cute little pieces, i highly recommend them. I love them so much also. I just want to tell you guys that i am officially a brand ambassador with them, so you're going to be seeing a lot more videos with them to come on my channel, which i'm so excited and grateful for. So thank you guys for making this possible and thank you to anna louisa for sponsoring this video. Okay, let's get into the shampoo and conditioner, because you guys my mind was actually blown all right so first off, i want to say the brand, obviously that i got the shampoo and conditioner from so it's called the morocco method. I'D never heard of them before. I thought sedona recommended this shampoo and conditioner in one of her videos, but then, when i went back, she said nothing about it, so i don't know how i ended up on this website ordering their products. Okay, so i actually got their little combo. They sell the shampoo and conditioner in a little set. I think you get like a mini size, though, but that was perfect for me, trying it out and also on your first order. You get 10 off so definitely use that this little set was only 18 very excited about that. I think they only have one shampoo and conditioner bar on their website and i will have them linked down below, because i can't figure out what the name of it is. This just says the revitalizing shampoo bar and then the moisturizing conditioner bar. So i believe both of these are advertised as for all hair types and they're, both raw vegan and paleo. So i know a lot of you guys have been wanting me to test out some vegan products. So this is your freaking video, okay. So let's go ahead and get into the footage of me actually washing my hair with these products. So the first thing i did was i wanted to make sure that my hair was really really soaking, wet and saturated, and that's what all the videos have said that i've watched just because you obviously don't have any added liquid in the product to help it like. Be more runny and spread, so you just want to have as much water in your hair as possible. So that's what i did and then i didn't really know the best method that would work for me for applying the shampoo bar. So i kind of like rubbed it between my hands to get it a little bit foamy, but then i also like rubbed it directly onto my scalp. I don't really put shampoo on my ends that much so i really did just kind of focus this on my scalp. Now you guys will see in the footage. I was literally shocked at how much a shampoo bar lathered up. I was not expecting that at all. At least not like that quickly, like i barely had to do anything, i thought i was going to be like scrubbing for a good minute before i got any kind of lather out of this, and that was not the case at all. It lathered up so quickly and in the lather, really helped it spread throughout my hair, and i was just so impressed with that, like i thought these bars were going to be such a pain to spread throughout my whole head, because it takes me a ton of Shampoo, normally to like cover my whole scalp and feel like i'm, really cleaning everything, but that was not the case with this bar at all. I was able to spread the product around very easily, and i was pretty excited about that now. I will say that i was noticing, as i was rinsing, the shampoo out, that my hair was getting that really squeaky, clean feeling, but i'll touch on that a little bit later in the video, but that was a little bit concerning for me. I don't know if it was like stripping my hair, but that's kind of what it felt like, like literally my roots were, like you know not into it now, let's get into the conditioner bar. So, oh one more thing with the shampoo bars, you really want to make sure that you're rinsing your hair really really well just because you don't want to leave like any build up on your hair, but i will say it didn't. Take me long at all to feel like i had fully rinsed the product out, which was great so now as far as the conditioner bar goes. So this one was a little bit harder for me to work with. I was like rubbing it between my hands, but because it's obviously not a shampoo, it's not going to lather up, so it didn't really feel like much product was coming off in my hand, so i started running it just down the lengths of my hair and it Took longer than the shampoo bar did to really be able to like spread through my hair, so i ended up having to pretty much run the bar over every single section of my hair, and then i could start detangling after that. I even kind of took my hair with the bar of soap on the back and was like running it down my hair, just to really make sure i was getting a ton of conditioner in there before i started detangling. So a few things i want to say about the conditioner like i said it was a little bit hard to work with initially and it took a little bit longer than a traditional wait. Did i say shampoo, i'm in conditioner. I don't know what i said, but it took a little bit longer than a traditional conditioner. Would, however, the quality of the product. Oh my gosh, you guys. I love that conditioner bar, like it made my hair, feel so soft and so hydrated, and it gave such nice slip to my hair. It made it super easy to detangle and i really really loved it actually and my hair was super tangly. I think that was partially from washing my head upside down in the tub, but yeah. It was very tangly and i did not have any issues at all detangling with this conditioner, which i was very nervous about, because my hair is so thick and it's very coarse and i was a little nervous that i wasn't going to be able to detangle all The way i was, but it just took me a little bit longer to like get the product all over my hair, if that makes sense so now, as far as my final thoughts go, so i did this wash routine yesterday. Today is my like day two results, and i was waiting for my hair to dry to see like how i felt about it if it felt really stripped if it still felt dirty if it felt like dried out and freaking crusty. I feel like my hair is very clean and very soft and hydrated, like my ends, don't feel dried out or stripped at all. My scalp feels very clean. I am like so impressed with these products. I thought this was gon na, be like a major flop and i was gon na toss. The shampoo bars and never look at them again, but no, i am going to use these all the time back to the whole shampoo bar, though feeling like it was stripping. My hair, i went and read the ingredients. You guys can correct me if i'm wrong, because i'm not good at reading ingredients. If you know me at all, but i did not see any sulfates in the ingredients, so i'm very confused as to why it felt like it was so stripping on my hair. I really don't understand that, but after i use the conditioner, my hair didn't feel like dried out or crispy or crunchy or hard, or anything like that. So i feel like maybe whatever the shampoo may have stripped from my hair. The conditioner definitely put it back in so overall, very impressed with these products love the conditioning bar too, like i said it was so softening. So hydrating gave a lot of slip easy to detangle. With honestly, i really have no complaints, so one of the main things i'm very excited about about um, just like a shampoo bar and conditioner, is how easy it's going to be to store and travel with. I'D. Never even thought about that. But sedona actually mentioned that. That'S her middle name by the way that i don't think that's her first name, but she actually mentioned that on her channel and she was just saying like these are so great to travel with, because you don't have to worry about like the liquid limits or about Them like spilling in your bag and then also, i don't know about you guys, but i hate those little travel containers. They drive me nuts, like trying to squeeze your shampoo into one of those. This is so convenient to literally like pop in a plastic bag or something or a little travel case, and just take it with you also. I am running out of room in my cabinet from all the hair products i have, and these are amazing, because you can literally just stack them on top of each other like in what world is this all the space you need for a shampoo and conditioner? That'S amazing there's a lot of other pros. Oh, the necklace pulled my neck hair anyways um, there's a lot of other pros to this like package, free bar, shampoo and conditioner set other than it just being like sustainable and package free and zero waste, and all that also it does come in a little cardboard Thing so that's cool, but yeah. It'S like really convenient too. I don't know why. I never tried this. I just thought it wouldn't work, but that was pretty stupid because they work amazing. I'Ve been missing out for my whole life, but anyways that completes this video. You guys those are my final thoughts. This was a massive success. I'M so freaking excited very impressed with these leave in the comments your favorite shampoo, bar and conditioner, because now i want to try more out and i'm definitely going to keep these in my rotation um. I might just save the bar for like a clarifying shampoo just to be safe, because again it did feel a little bit squeaky clean. That makes me a little nervous to use it every wash, but the conditioner, oh my gosh, and i'm definitely only traveling with these from now on for the rest of my life. Thank you very much. Okay, you guys! If that completes this video, don't forget to check out anna louisa, i will have them linked down below and don't forget to use my code melinda10. If you want to save 10 off or don't, but that's really dumb, it's not an affiliate link, though so i'm not like just all right shut up use my code, it's okay, maybe we shouldn't say, shut up all right. You guys. I hope this video was helpful. I hope you enjoyed it if you did definitely give it a thumbs up, subscribe to my channel or i'll cry all day follow my instagram or my wavy hair instagram, where i update you guys on products in between youtube videos, and i will see you in my Next, video bye,

Swavy Blonde: I spoke to one of the founders of a similar sustainable company here and have been told that it is extremely hard to make shampoo bar gentle just because the concentration of the cleaning chemicals are much higher in dry substance rather than liquid like a normal shampoo. I believe that's why I've been enjoying shampoo bars so much, I like that clean feeling you described but I also found that some shampoo bars can be even too much for me and now I know the reason why. Hope that helps

Amy: The shampoo bar is a traditional lye soap. That's why it bubbled up and cleaned your hair without any sulfate-type ingredients. The ingredient sodium hydroxide (lye) is added to oils to 'saponify' the oils, which turns them to soap. The pH of soap is too high for hair. The company lists the pH of the shampoo bar as 7-8 on their website. The ideal pH range for hair products are 4.5-5.5. Any higher and it causes the cuticle to lift excessively which can cause extra tangles and damage, and increases porosity over time. Higher pH products also disrupt the acid mantle of the scalp and can break the salt bonds in our hair which are responsible for a significant portion of our hairs strength. Morrocco method products are terrible. They contain irritating ingredients and are not formulated using the science of what we know to be healthy for skin and hair

millijames: I used shampoo bars for over a year and they did work great for cleaning my hair (could never get along with the conditioner bar though, never felt moisturising enough for my 3a hair). I did find that you have to basically got all in with only 100% natural hair products though because otherwise you get buildup.

mi nombre: I gave up on my wavy hair journey but omg your hair looks sooooo good!!!! You make me want to try again lol

Kristal Gonzales: This shampoo and conditioner bars were one of the first ones I tried. Wasn’t a huge fan. The shampoo really dried out my hair, it felt like straw after a few weeks. I think it might of been because of the clay. The conditioner isn’t moisturizing enough. The smell is so nice and the shampoo will be nice for a clarifying day. My current favorite is the earthling co. Shampoo and conditioner. The conditioner bar is really moisturizing, I love it! The shampoo bar is good but I want to try to find a better one.

Dawn Boyce: You need to try Viori. I'm a shampoo snob and had never used a shampoo and conditioner bar. I usually love high end products. Viori bars shocked me. Now they are all I use and it's been 4 months. I think you would love them.

Amy: Oh my god Morrocco Method is still around?? I was using their products like 6 years ago and they ABSOLUTELY DESTROYED my hair and scalp YIKES

Kiri West: The shampoo contains sodium hydroxide aka LYE or caustic (i.e. acid that an eat through your skin) soda. In addition to stripping dirt and grease (it’s used in drain cleaners, laundry detergents, and commercial cleaners for anything from restaurants to crime scenes ) it can also strip moisture from your hair.

Sam:): Your makeup looks amazing. You should do videos on your makeup looks too xx

Livi Bridge: 3:23 product review starts

Rebecca Murille: I would suggest you look into fast hair growth fortified shampoo to double hair growth.

Sergey N: Here’s a tip, talk about fast hair growth fortified shampoo to double hair growth.

Patricia Machado: Here’s a tip, look for no sulfates fast hair growth shampoo.

Jenny Rose: I have never tried shampoo bar I've considered Lush and Viori but Idk. I don't even like bar soap much something about touching it too much/ getting germy. If you recycle bottles it's fine right? Anyway I like the video idea I'm sure lots of people like shampoo bars.
