Let'S go curly crew. Welcome back to girls channel, it's your good sis, curly chris, and i cannot believe i'm about to do today's video, but i am so in my last hair update video. We talked about humidity and also how my straight natural hair, which is not gon na work in the summertime, because the humidity was straight up disrespectful and i also entered a clip from tiktok of this hairstylist using these color while products and when he used the products. It made the girl's hair water resistant, like he literally put drops of water on her hair and her hair repelled the water. Let'S watch all right guys. Not only am i going to show you how to get this amazing glass hair, i'm going to show you how to make sure it's waterproof here i have some water droplets. This is going to act like moisture and it usually makes the hair frizzy. So you clearly can see why i was intrigued by that. Okay, i was like excuse me, so i was not even going. I was not even thinking about trying this on my hair currently, but a lot of y'all in the comments was like sis. The only way we can tell if it works on our hair is, if you try it and i'm not one to deny a challenge. Okay, so i said i was going to go ahead and try for y'all in today's video. So we're going to see if the dream coat, bicolor wow actually does work on natural hair to straighten it and is it going to repel water? Is it going to decrease the amount of humidity affects our hair? That'S we're going to be seeing in today's video. This one is the one for curly hair, because y'all did tell me they made one for curly hair. This one is the one for straightening your hair. Now i was gon na use the curly hair one on half of my hair today, but i looked it up, did some research, so i'm so happy. I did because this is for curly styles. This is not to be used for straightening, your hair. It is not heat activated, it does not work that way. It basically just allows your curly styles to last longer and not be affected as much by the humidity or frizz. So we're going to only be using the color wow dream coat and i should have got the larger size, but it's okay. This should be good enough for this one style and we'll see how it works. So last night i went ahead and washed my hair and i used olaplex and i also use olaplex mask so my hair should be pretty good on like a good foundation, i did not put any leave-in or anything in my hair, so i do think i want To apply some type of leave-in to my curls, so i'm going to go in with some of the olaplex. This is their new number, nine vine, protective nourishing hair serum. I'M only going and it's kind of interesting a hear sam right, i know so i'm only going to use a little bit of this. How much you say i should use, apply a small amount to damp tower: dried hair, okay, so yeah! Oh, it's actually a serum! It'S clear, i don't know about this. Okay, i don't know if it's gon na give my hair moisture, but it just says the serum i applied two more pumps and i'm rolling that on in so the guy in the video said, you need to thoroughly saturate your curls with this dream coat. So that's exactly what i'm going to do, i'm going to split it in sections and y'all. This video went like viral on tick tock, so i was like yeah. We got it. We got to put this to the test for the curly hair, because if this, if this defies water and humidity, do you realize how much of a game changer this will be for the girls who like to fight on their hair in the summer in the spring Year round, one thing about me: you don't have to tell me to code it well i'ma. Do that alright, i got that one second shot. No, no i'm going to do a section by section and then it just said to make sure you are raking it in thoroughly all right y'all. I applied it to the whole section. Now i'm gon na go and do the rest of my head as well. I finished putting all the product in all the sections and i will say for this side um i decided to do the serum, then the color wow, and on this side i did the color wild and the serum, because i was like what am i supposed to Put the the color while on first like what, if that, affects the results in some kind of way, so we're we'll see if the results are different. All right! Now i'm going to blow dry with my dyson and i'm also going to use this brush that i got. I decided to go with this over my revere, because i've seen that this may give me a sleeker blow dryer by using this brush. So we'll see my first time trying this out, i'm gon na spray, the chi 44 iron guard as a heat protectant. I don't know how to use this. I don't know y'all. My hair feels like very dry and just rough okay y'all. I did this one section. I do feel like it feels it does feel like dry and a little rough, but it does not feel bad. Like so y'all finished with blow drying my hair out, and i actually have some bad news. I think i use the product incorrectly. The instructions on the website say to not use any other products with that product until you're finished blow drying your hair and clearly i added the olaplex and the heat protectant, so i'm just like and also that product apparently had heat protectant in it did not say It blatantly, but it said that it had it in it. I just know that some something better work, okay, because i just i can't i can't i blow dried it out completely. So now i'm gon na get to actually flat ironing my hair and we're really going to be able to see if it works. So let me actually read to you guys what the colorwall product is supposed to do. It says: dreamcoats groundbreaking lightweight heat activated, polymer technology, smooths and silken's hair forming an invisible matrix that acts like a water repellent raincoat. It ensures sleek glossy glassy texture, that's immune to frizz and lasts up to three shampoos to flat iron, i'm using the chi g2. I just purchased this online. Oh i'm gon na use it on 4 25 ooh girl's getting hot already. I'M not gon na lie y'all. I'M kind of upset that i did not read the instructions on the website first and understand how serious i guess serious. It was to only use that product. I hope it doesn't affect the results too much, because i'm gon na be mad i'll, be mad. Okay, all right, y'all, ready it's the smoke for me that was kind of nice one pass. I didn't get my roots, though. Wow, look at that that looks so good, oh yeah! This is the sleekest. It'S ever been ever. Okay doing this with a flat iron, it's actually kind of like aesthetically, pleasing to me girl. You can't tell me nothing wow y'all! This feels like salon. Okay, y'all here are the results, and do you guys see how sleek my hair is? Oh my gosh y'all so fleek and look at the shine on it. This is giving so press okay. This is giving silk breasts. I most definitely feel like you will know that this gets it way more sleeker shinier silkier than the taimo, so the real moment of truth is how does it act in humidity and also does doesn't repel water, i'm kind of nervous about the water repellent part, because If it don't work, i'm gon na have to re-blow dry and reflect on those parts so before the humidity test we're gon na go outside, because it's always humid out here. Oh yeah, it's humid with my last flat iron as soon as i walked outside it. Frizzed up instantly, but so far baby, it's looking kind of good okay, y'all, y'all yo, i'm not even gon na lie to y'all right now, when i tell you, i really do feel like this is going to help with the frizziness and humid weather. Okay, let me explain: i went outside right, okay and with my last flat iron, i wasn't even able to make it out the dough before my hair started to frizz up, and i was outside for about five minutes, and my hair literally looks the exact same, which Is insane to say, i live in the south okay. Now, let's get to the real moment of truth, baby, okay, and that is the water does it. I can't believe i do. This doesn't repel water, i'm so scared y'all, i'm not even gon na lie. Let'S go! Oh did y'all just see that wait did y'all. Just see that, oh it rolls off of my hair. Wait wait y'all! This is insanity. I cannot believe this. I could not believe it. The water, just water, water, just rolled off of my hair strands, shut the front door and the back and the side. Oh my gosh y'all. I honestly don't even know where to start water. Just now rolls off my silk press. I just knew y'all. I said to myself girl: you finna ruin your soup friends. This is not gon na work. I knew it was not gon na work drop a comment right now. If your mouth went like this, when you saw that water roll off my hair drop it in the comments right now, it worked for our hair too. This worked for our hair too y'all, i'm literally, this excited like i'm, not even i'm hyped right now. I am so hyped up. I need club to sponsor me sponsor me right now. Neequa4ever: This is my go to for slik press for myself and my clients hair for the last 5 years. Literally my fav product and it really does leave your hair shinny silky and water resistant. I've used it on the tightest of the type 4 hair and it's perfection. Has your silk press looking fresh for 2 weeks. Also it does well with protecting tour curls from all the heat that's been applied to your hair during. If you really want to put and extra heat protectant, use a light weight one like AG firewall after the blow dry stage just before you flat iron (this heat protectant is humidity resistant as well). Finish with a pea/ peanut size amount ofthe Colour WOW Pop and Lock.

However, most of her clients are caucasian, so when she gave it to me to try it, I was not enthused at all. I have 4C hair, and did try it for a complete fail- - let me say that again - it was a complete fail. In that tic toc and in this video, both of them used tiny drops of water to demonstrate water repellant properties. Ladies, humidity is NOT two drops or even many drops of water. It is fully immersive, constant unrelenting moisture. THis does absolutely nothing for my 4c hair. My hair still puffed into a pom pom. These companies will do anything to get access to our coins. Please don't fall for the okie doke. This stuff is expensive, and will only add to your cabinet of unused products. As a side note, I silk press my hair every two weeks, and on wash day I must run the water over my hair for at least 1-2 minutes before it starts to revert (and note that I have absolutely no heat damage). I point this out to bring attention to the fact that you can have water repellant hair, but that does not mean that your straight hair will survive humidity, as humidity exposure is like your hair is being continuously submerged in a big tank of microscopic water droplets. I have neither heard of nor found any product that is able to fully and continuously stop the hell that is humidity - not for any hair type. I would love you to try this on any rainy day and I assure you your results will be as mine were. But hey, some things you must try for yourself, so good luck. Perhaps you will be the exception

My hair was the shiniest it had ever been and it did help with humidity. But then I found out it had very toxic ingredients in it and stopped using it. The ingredients on their website don’t match up with what my bottle listed (they even have a disclaimer about it which seems suspect). Perhaps they have changed the ingredients but just be careful ladies!!!

Toya Colman: I feel like it repels water because it coats your hair in silicone and that’s why it would also last up to three shampoos. I think you would have to do a clarifying shampoo after though just so you don’t have too much product buildup
