Welcome to my channel, i said, welcome because it's time to get welcomed and it's time to settle in for a gorgeous tutorial on how to style your hair curly. This is really just the season of us, embracing our natural curls, embracing our waves, which i'm living for and there's a few things that are really important to remember about waves, everybody's curls and waves are very different and they need very different things and there's so many Different ways to achieve a perfect curly look, but today we're going to focus on diffusing our hair curly and i'm going to go for as much volume and as much like bodacious curl as i can get. So, let's go okay, so whether your hair is curly straight super tight curls we do not want to be over washing our hair over washing our hair is the worst thing you can do. The reason that that is is because it strips out our scalp of all the naturally occurring oils and it causes the oil glands in our scalp to go into this over production mode, and it ends up making your scalp super oily. And it makes your ends of your hair super dry, also just another really quick tip for curly hair people, we're washing our scalps we're not really shampooing our ends. We'Re really not spending a long time scrubbing and, like you know, the ends of our hair. We really want to use our fingertips when we wash we stay up here and then when we apply conditioner, we really want to be like using these sorts of stroking motions. So i'm going to go upstairs and do that and i will see you all back here in like 10 to 12 minutes in real life, but on this video it's gon na seem like freshly washed and conditioned out of the shower and let's get started. I'M gon na start by applying this bumble and bumble curl primer right now, i'm just going to work all of this wavy product in and i'll tell you! You really want to hear it's not even close to wet enough this hair. You really want to hear like a squelch, and sometimes you just need more water, so i do have a water bottle here. Oh - and i love this one because it has the most even mist - oh see now i'm starting to get that squelch that i'm looking for. So now that we've got all that in there i can see the good scrunch starting to come out, but now what's important is we have to figure out where our part is going to live? I want kind of that casual over to the side thing. So i'm just going to work this in now, i'm just going to make sure there's no knots now what i'm going to do is i'm going to start to apply my mousse, but i do want to make sure that i get my mousse underneath my hair. So what i am gon na do is take from my temples. I'M gon na take this top here. I'M gon na clip it out of my way and then i just have this hair. I have a little bit of my hair in the front hanging down a little bit of this hair hanging down, and then i have everything in the back. You can see where the ringlets are starting to form, so i'm going to kind of enhance where those rings already are with this foam and i'm going to do that same kind of squelching motion that i did before. But i'm going to work it all the way down my hair. So now i'm going to take another helping of mousse to deal with this top layer that i just brought down, and this is the point where, when i first started doing this, i would kind of panic at this part be like oh gosh, there's really like foam In my hair um, but that's good, that's exactly what you should be seeing and you do want to work that foam up into the crown, because that part can tend to get pretty frizzy. So i'm gon na come in and finish up on this side and then we're gon na start diffusing okay. So this is starting to look pretty much where i want it, and so now what we're gon na do is i'm going to start to diffuse my hair. I am going to be using a dyson with a diffuser. You could also use a blow dryer that had a nozzle and then use a sock which you can see here and now. I'M going to introduce you to my really good friend, welcome to the show tan. France just kidding i'm so sorry, it's really just fishnet stockings um. These are a great tool for curly hair. I love them. It'S gon na help. Do some of this work for me and i'm simply just gon na dip. My hair forward, i'm just going to take the fishnets and gather up all this hair. Now i'm going to turn my diffuser on okay, we've been diffusing for about seven minutes. I do want to take this off and see where i'm at so that really helped and it made my life a lot easier. Now i'm gon na start to emphasize my wave without the fishnet and i'm gon na tilt my hair to the side and start picking up sections and i'm tilting my head into the diffuser and you can even rest your head like that to get the back. Sometimes i like to get these diffuser teeth like clear up to my scalp to really start to lift and work volume into the into the roots. Now, at this point, this hair is like 90s dry. I just want to come into the top of my hair and i'm just gon na start to lift up my roots. Now. What i'm gon na do just to finish off the curls is i'm just gon na cool shot. Everything just make sure that all that last moisture is out so that the frizz doesn't come back for me later. I'M just gon na hit everything for a few last minutes, so this is a very trusty. I actually use this in the shower to comb conditioner through, but also i have one that i keep out of the shower, and i do that to kind of just lift up the root of my style so that it's not too flat. This also kind of helps to break up any of those um kind of more chunky curls. So this is like kind of a chunkier curl and you can kind of just separate it and turn it into a couple curls kind of thicken it up. I also am a huge fan of texture wave sprays to use every company's got a texture spray. I do like this texture wave, though i will just kind of come in here and just lift the hair. I look amazing. I have nothing to apologize for that. My hair looks this good. Sometimes i do feel like i want to just put in a little bit of like a moisturizing something at the end, so this is just a little bit of universal uh, styling balm again by shu uemura. When i finish my hair. This way it really lasts for days. I can honestly get three four five days out of this obviously day three, four five, i'm going to do like a half up half down, but this texture just gives me life. My hair has gotten so much healthier from learning this technique and i hope you embrace your curls. I feel gorgeous and powerful with my curly wavy hair. I just feel like this looks amazing and i hope you have so much fun with your waves and make sure you like and subscribe and do all the things you're supposed to do on youtube. And i love you so much and thanks for coming to my channel get out of here yeah i didn't mean to kick you i'm. So sorry you don't have to you actually can stay if you want to stay and look at these waves a little longer.

Shannon Mcmaster: As a person with very curly hair, it blows my mind that a famous beauty expert is talking about styling curls. I'm young but even I remember the days of Lorraine Massey's book being my only resource and every stylist in town wanting to straighten my hair on the way out of the salon. I am so happy with this trend in the beauty industry yet I can only hope that curl and texture acceptance continues far past this trend. Let's make it happen!! Also from Queer Eye to Over the Top to this channel JVN is creating such incredible content and I love it!!!

Ciara Clark: We love a natural hair moment! I would love to see a follow-up video to see how to enhance your day 2 and day 3 waves/curls!

jackie lehman: I hope everyone that is "jealous of your curls" watches this and the effort we have to go through.... this is why I 95% of the time messy-bun it.

Elizabeth A: Everyone in the curly community is RAGING that you wear your hair straight so much with curls like that

AngryCandy89: This is perfect! After 19 years of relaxing my curly hair, I've decided to stop and embrace my curls.

Becca Woodward: I’ve lived 38 years with this weird curly/wavy hair that I never really quite knew how to style well. This is maybe one of the best videos I’ve watched on how to wash/diffuse style curly hair! Thank you!! (Also my first time ever seeing one of JVN videos!!!)

Dua Nazar: I'd love a video for a total beginner's guide on adding some variety to everyday looks? (eg straightening, curling, plaits, buns). I literally only know a basic ponytail and look the same everyday lol. I find a lot of style how-to videos intimidating and complicated tbh so would love a really simple one

Adria Mirabelli: Love this Jonathan! You have gorgeous curls :) Can us curly girls ever air dry too? Is there a particular routine for that? Sometimes I may be in a rush!

Elizabeth Thomas: The Pandemic meant I had to figure out my curls cuz I went 15 months without a cut! I am now a curly addict and LOVING my hair. This is a fantastic overview video. Anyone who wants to go deeper, figure out your curl type (I'm a 3A, it goes from 1-4, ABC within each number) and find youtubers who are exclusively curly hair experts. There are many out there, even down to high vs low density hair and more. I had NO idea I could have such predictably awesome curls.

laurrrram: My curl pattern is extremely similar to yours and you're doing almost all of the things that I don't do and now I'm questioning my methods thank you very much. Now I'm very curious to try your method and see what happens. Also the brush scared me for a minute.

Karelie Enid: I’ve had curly hair my whole life & can even say I’m guilty of the over washing because I genuinely didn’t know what to do with my hair. Videos like these genuinely have helped me out. Thank you❣️

Amy Wilkinson: Omg! Just tried this and I’m loving my curls! I always struggle with wearing my curly hair natural and usually only looks good on day one. Gonna see how this looks on day 2-3! Thanks for the video!

Janeway IsTheWay: Watching you embrace your natural curl pattern more and more has made me so so happy! When I was a little girl I never saw people with hair like mine and I had no idea how to style it, so I didn’t learn to love my hair until I was well into my 20s. Love this journey for you JVN

Lisa Melroy: THIS is the video I've been looking for! I have fine, curly hair and, even at 50, have never quite figured out how to help it live up to its curly potential. Thanks, JVN!

Secret Identity: I've got a lot of natural curl and I straightened my hair for a lot of my adult life. Had some hideous haircuts chosen for me in elementary school This video is 50/50 stuff I'm doing and stuff I didn't know about, so it's both validating and educational for me, thank you I have to admit btw that I use some kind of leave-in moisturizer at basically every stage of drying/styling my hair once I'm out of the shower, like, it might be slightly excessive But it might also be rescuing my hair because I started bleaching it a few years ago

Juliette Helene: I have naturally very straight hair and I’m so obsessed with curls that I set my hair in hot rollers or over night roller sets. Sending love to the natural curl Queens

Chris Cavalcanti: Legendas em português por favor ❤️ Love you ❤️

Megan Price: That fishnet trick! Been naturally curly for years and never have seen that one. *Runs to lingerie drawer to try!*

Betsy Coomer: I don’t have curly hair, but my daughter does. When I’m trying to take care of her hair it becomes a strugs-to-func situation. Thanks so much for this tutorial!!

Kael: I have been struggling with my wavy hair! I tried this last night and my hair looks 100% better I feel way more confident already! Thank you so much <3

Emily Carveth: This was ridiculously helpful Jonathan! I'm embracing my waves and I can't wait to try this technique!

charlie g: This past year I have embraced my natural curls and learnt how to look after them. If your in the UK I highly recommend Creightons curls activator cream and Umberto Giannini curl jelly both are great to use. I also use a silk bonnet to sleep in and get days out of my curls instead of just one day. Absolutely love you and queen eye gang ❤

Melinda Evelyn: OMG! all you ALL need to say 'thank queen Jonathan for not just saving hairs but saving souls like mine!"....Thank you for keeping us focused on first things first! love yourself!

Erin M. Rose: Thank you so much for this tutorial, Jonathan! This is exactly the help I needed! ‍

Kara Talks about Stuff: This is pretty similar to my strategy. I actually diffuse with clips on the roots if I'm looking for volume, though. I also put a layer of gel over my mouse to make the style last longer. As others have mentioned, if you haven't tried a Denman brush, DO IT!❤️ I don't use it most days, but when I'm putting in the time to look extra cute it's my best tool!

Tish Ratcliff: Thanks for the tutorial! Right now, as I’m trying to grow out damage from a year of The Covid Ponytail, I’m trying to learn a good heatless styling technique. I really like the products you suggested, and I think the fishnets idea will work with air drying, too.

karlabmdz: Aghh! I literally have been waiting for Jonathan to talk about curls for soo long! Love this. But I would also really love it if we could see a whole cycle of curly hair. I feel like I'm quite confident with how I can style my hair straight out of the shower, but after the first day things start to look quite sad haha, and I haven't really found great ways to bring the curls back to life which ends up in a bun or a hat over them and then they are ruined, so I have to take showers more often than I would like.. Anyways, thanks for a great video Jonathan. I'm glad you're finally over on youtube :)

91frankthetank: This is exactly what my hair looks like after styling natural. I need the patience to do this more! ❤️❤️❤️

neah walker: Oh my goodness I love you so much this really did my heart good. I love to see people embrace their natural curls. Watching tv growing up, it was so hard finding someone I could identify with and I used to wish my hair was straight so badly so I could fit in. There were days I would cry straightening my hair because it would never get as silky and straight as other people’s. But now I am deeply in love with my uniqueness and curls☺️ thank you so much for posting this and being a positive light

Sarah: This is the curly hair care video I've always needed!! Thank you JVN! Have you ever noticed that water changes the quality of hair? I recently moved from the country where we had well water, to the city with city water, and my wavy/curly hair has become much more dry and frizzy since. Nothing else changed to my hair care routine.

Cyn Hanrahan: You do look amazing! I knew your hair had some curl to it, but this really is beautiful. I have very curly long hair and I've learned some good tips here!

Louise Jewell: Thank you so much for this tutorial! I'm excited to wear my curly hair now that I know how to make it look amazing! Subscribing!

Hope Ladds: As someone who has naturally uneven wavy hair this helped alot especially the moose application!! Thank you!!!

Wendy Bate: Thanks Johnathan! I’m a curly girl too and will definitely use these tips. You look amazing

Nulu Koze: I'll definitely give this a try! Finally a tutorial I can follow!

Bex: Those curls are incredible! This is so fun to see. Last year, I discovered that I actually have wavy-curly hair too, so it's been fun to experiment and see other people embracing their natural texture.

Giu Alonso: I'm so happy to see your with your curly hair! I'm also super happy to have embraced my curls, I used to spend so much money keeping it straight and it also damaged my scalp! Don't do the Brazilian straghtening, you guys! It messes up with your hair for YEARS (even after you stopped!)

Joy Merkel: So good! I think our hair is a similar texture, and I've been trying to get this level of curls.

TheHappyHoopDancer: Love your curls! I loved the drying segment….I basically am in inverted yoga poses every time I dry my hair

Gilmoreholic: Oh my gosh! YASSSSS QWEEN! Thank you so much for sharing the curly hair love! It’s so hard to find a really good curly hair tutorial, thank you thank you thank you!!! Btw your hair looks so luscious love! Will definitely give this a go! Big love from Adelaide Australia ❤️

Daisy: You have the exact curl pattern I do! This was so helpful

Lola Cheatham: Just your mega-watt smile brightens my mood. Thanks for the tutorial, I have waves and my girls have curly/wavy. All the tips help! Plus also, I am SO STOKED you are creating content (I love QE but could always use more JVN in my life). Keep up the good work! ✨

Ri P: Yea curls! Bring them on! Mine are 62 years old and are finally fantastic with all the fun and great enhancing products like these. Thank you for your great help. I'm going to go out in style . Thank you for your Beauty YouTube channel. I'm so glad you've made it happen. Cherish you JVN, you make a significant difference in this world, in many aspects. Stay strong.

2ndRatePetronius: Jonathan, thank you for embracing the curls! I think my curl pattern is pretty similar to yours, so I am going to try some of your suggestions.

sidhwen m: Looks great! <3 Any tips for keeping your curls over night / sleeping on them? Day 1, my hair looks nice and curly if I treat it right (about the same curly-level as Jonathan has here) - but from day 2 onwards it's downhill with the curls ;D When my hair was a bit longer it helped to put it in kind of a bun at the top of my head, so I'd lie on the curls less. But now my hair is only shoulder length; long enough for a "normal" pony tail but not a pony tail on the top of my head... -_- Any ideas? ^^

8Bit Latina: I love your channel, Jon. Also, as someone with really curly hair and a barber, I also suggest using beard balm on the head for those with super curly, thick hair.

David Mizelle: This is amazing! My hair gets C R A Z Y frizzy if I don't take good care of it. I had researched a few steps to make it better, but this is EVERYTHING! Thank you so much.

ScruffyLookingNerfherder: Thanks for this, my hair is always so flat when it dries, so this is a big help!!

Tammy Stiletto: A couple years ago half my hair fell out due to stress and health. We chopped it short to try to take the weight off, I tried to leave my scalp alone because it was in pain, I ate way more protein to fit my lifestyle, and I researched the curly girl method and also for what the women of Color were doing for their hair. It saved my scalp. My hair over time got used to my natural waves and I started sprouting a couple real curls. I’m so happy being this way with my natural texture and my scalp isn’t in pain anymore. I do get slapped by non- curly girls (never guys) for saying curly girl method. To them I don’t have curly hair. But the actual curly girls are so kind and do agree that my hair is curly. I hope people become more accepting of the curly life. Everyone’s hair is so different and personal. It’s about appreciating what you have and loving your neighbor.

layne92: Great video! This is what I needed! Thank you

julie costa: I love this!! My hair is similar to yours and I needed to see this. I love my curl and embrace it, but don't do the best job of styling it. I learned so much from this video! Now, if I only had that Dyson! Oh, and you make me smile. Thank you for being you!! ❤

tericarl: Anyone new to curly care- this is a great video for starting/newbies. Once you get acclimated to the ideas and have pursued some of the other curl influencers to try out techniques that work best for you. I currently do wash my hair every 2-3 days. I can’t handle it going longer. But it took time for to get to that point and realize my lifestyle wouldn’t permit going longer between washes. So many different techniques and products for the different types. And every rule can be broken if you know why it exists. Thank you Jvn for this post and mentioning sulfates way back in season 1 of qe.

Marla Browne: I saw this after I just finished doing my curls! I have a patch of hair that refuses to stay curled, so when I’m prepping I twist it around and around, smoothing as I go and it fixes it!

María St. Delphi: I'm 24 and I've been straightening my hair since I was 13-14 because I had no reference I hated so much my curls. This really makes me want to embrace them and stop doing the keratin straightening treatment I do every year

Rachel Sparks: Oh my gosh, you have no idea how much I've been needing this for YEARS. THANK YOU!!

TheSheebeen: My mam has incredible frizzy hair and my hair is flat, straight, fine and flyaway. I remember we once went to the salon and I got a curly blow dry and mam got her hair straightened and my Dad said we'd swapped hair for the day! LOL Love seeing how you embrace your natural curls.

Julissa Escobedo: I love you JVN and thank you for talking curls! Growing with curls I was never taught how to style my curls and I’m just now embracing my natural texture. Any way you could do a video on how to wear your curls the day after you wash and style them? Right now I can only get one day of my hair being my down and the next day I feel like I have to just braid it and put it up or wash and style it if I want to rock curls.

TheTBear12: Love it! Thanks for sharing such a useful tutorial. I wish I had access to this knowledge when I was younger, rather than learning some of these tips and tricks the hard way, through trial and error. ;-)

Rachel Eden: Love you so much and love that you have this channel now. Thank you for all the love and joy you put out into the world!! I would love to know what styles you use for 3rd or 4th day curly hair!

Carolyn McFox: I love everything about this and my hair’s texture and curl pattern is also pretty much exactly the same— I’m seeing cool variations of the types of things I generally do and had to figure out for myself as a teen in the 90’s, haha… I WILL say that sock diffusers have always been trash on me ‍♀️ has to be the other kind or none at all

Cassidy: Your curls are SO beautiful! I had curls like that my whole life but they fell out over the last year

Danielle H: JONATHAN! I did your half-up, half-down squelch technique this AM and it WERKED. ✨ I dont know why I never thought to put half up and scrunch the bottom separately! I love love loved this video and I love you even more. Can't wait for the next one! ☺

JenniferBoBennifer: love how honest and real this was. I may have to contort into weird shapes and I needed to know that that is okay, ya know?

Kayla Ess: This is perfect timing for me bc I just just just started wearing my hair (naturally) curly/ wavy and today was the first day I had a good hair day. It took me a loooot of years to realize that I had curly hair, and not just unmanageable hair. I haven’t taken the plunge to invest in a diffuser yet, but maybe that is next for me.

LoNBub: Love you so much! Love all the positivity And those curls, yes

iridonguri: Yaaaaaay so happy you made a tutorial for curly hair ❤️ i’ve been struggling with styling a lot and with keeping the frizz at bay, so this helped so much! Thanks gorgeous! ❤️ (Secretly crying though because shu uemura doesnt sell hair products in japan the irony)

Melanie Esparza: Thank you! I've been struggling so much with my hair and trying to find the best ways for my hair not to look all frizzy with my natural curls!

Jessica Chamberlain: Love this!!! Thank you so much for sharing, I love my curls but never know how to style them like this

LiLiMarie425: Oh my goodness!!! That stocking trick is Everything!!! So smart!!! I always feel like it’s super frizzy and I don’t get the look I’m going for but this I think will definitely help!!! Thank you thank you thank you!!! You’re the best!!!

Ruxandra B: Love love love that people are embracing curls now. My hair is so traumatized from all the heat styling tools over the years!

Angela Kay Austin: I ABSOLUTELY love love love your energy! I don't know if this will work for my 4C hair, but I still enjoyed watching each moment :-)!

Julio: Great tutorial. I follow very similar steps most of the year but in winter, when the weather is super dry, the curls don't seem to want to cooperate. They end up way are less compact and springy and more hanggy and scraggly. Any suggestions on what to add for the drier seasons?

person123: I was literally going to pick up my straightener but saw this video. Can’t wait to try this next time I wash.

shadelings: This was so helpful!!! I've always loved Jonathan's hair and skincare advice, yet I'm also a single mom who is on a budget so I bought the Bumble and Bumble curl revitalizer and skipped buying the mousse and Dyson hair dryer/ defuser. I followed Jonathan's advice as far as scrunching with the B&B curl revitalizer and the mousse I already had on hand for fine hair, then let it air dry as I normally would. I have to say that the difference was huge! Instead of being more frizzy at the ends when finally dried, the curls remained intact with none of the frizz I was used to seeing. The results probably would have been even better completely following Jonathan's instructions but, buying a Dyson product (with an attachment as well) is just way too pricey for me right now. However, I still had very satisfying results going with air dry and a different mousse.

mayario: Wow love your curls! I never would have guessed this was your natural hair. Looks great!

luckyDancer100: My hair is moderately wavy, but wow, I don’t think I’ve ever used these many hair products. Can’t tell if this is just a sales pitch for bumble and bumble, or if I’m doing my hair wrong. Usually I just pat my hair dry and go.

D M: My curl type looks very similar to theirs and I immediately gritted my teeth in pain when they took that pink brush to their part. I remember mom painfully brushing my wet hair and braiding my hair every night until I was in my teens. For my hair, finger combing and occasionally a wide toothed comb is all I need. But honestly, if brushes work for them... go for it!

photobeat: Love this SO much! I wish my hair would curl so bad, I’ve tried almost everything but nothing lasts more than a few hours, if I dare to look at a comb that happens to be 3 miles away from me it goes back to straight immediately, I’m seriously considering a perm.

Rune Cuthrell: Your hair is beautiful! Thank you so much for sharing!! I have super curly hair, and I'm trying to get my curls back after years of bleaching, dying, and general abuse. I'm a 90s kid and totes remember the mousse crunch

Samantha Kearns: I don’t have curly or wavy hair at all but just came to say you’re a amazing and so aspirational for me! You are everything the world needs right now.

iris180282: Thank you for doing this episode on curls, getting lots of great ideas from this!

Arely Holman: Love this tips for the hair!!! Keep the videos coming

Chandler Selompia: You were my long hair goals, now you're my curly hair goals. Dreams DO come true

Bo Med: I am about to perm my hair, so this has come in the nick of time! As someone with naturally v straight hair, I know I will be out of my depth Thanks JVN!

Enid Rodriguez: You not only give us great content but with the most uplifting attitude... thank you!

Francesca Foreman: Gorgeous! My hair is a very similar wave pattern so I need to embrace it some more

comotovi: I've got super short hair but here I am, soaking up that sweet JVN content we all came for

Nynke K: this is brilliant! my wavy, ultra-fine hair always falls flat but this gives me hope. love the practical tips about how to blow dry, too! (I'm sure I have a fishnet stocking somewhere)

Amanda Allen: Something about JVN having identical hair to my 11th grade yearbook photo feels so incredibly validating. It’s like I got to have my own Queer Eye episode! Thank you, friend!

Blue Greenglue: How has it taken five decades for me to discover these awesome tips? I am so done with allowing people who cut/color my hair thinking that straightening it is always the last step. I. Want. It. Natural.

Nouran El-Behairy: The fishnet trick is interesting!! I have natural curly and very frizzy hair, the diffuser sometimes makes it even more frizzy and I don't like using so much product. Just a curl balm (that I learned from you on a queer eye episode)

Liza Colpa: I love you so much!! Thank you so much for doing this!! Growing up, I had to learn by trial and error on how to deal with my type 3c curls, so when I saw you had a YouTube channel and this is one of the first videos on your channel, I was thrilled. This video made me so happy and you did us curly babies justice!!! Thank you!! ‍

Othman Alfayez: This is too good, don’t stop and you do look amazing!

Sammy Deee: Your waves are so beautiful! Defo need to try this on my hair love ya queen!!

Sofia Cervantes: Thank you for doing this, is so hard to find people giving advice about how to take proper care of curly hair, love you ❤️

Jessica Pinhey: I’ve only truly embraced my natural curl in the last couple years and I love playing with different ways of styling them! Though most of the time I let them air dry cause I’m short on time haha

Edie MacKay: I have long hair down to my waist, with mild body/waves, and I was skeptical about this. I was thrilled to have this treatment work!!! OMG!!! I've tried it a few times. I'm even able to brush it out when it's dry, then re-wet it down and reactivate the curls. This is really important because I play music outside at festivals and having a "rain sturdy" hairstyle has been a problem. I'm VERY happy to say this will solve a TON of prep problems. Thank you Jonathan! You ROCK on so many levels. This will save me a TON of time, and I'm so happy with it! :: HUGS ::

liz Keith: Yessssssss, I use the bumble n bumble curl reactivator and iv noticed a big improvement in my curls! And I use a really good conditioner now too and I use a cotton t-shirt to dry my hair with out of the shower, it doesn't take all the water out of my hair and I can get a nice cast on my curls. The thing with curl hair is that its a process to achieve a nice defined curl, not a complicated process but it takes time. A lot of hairstylists still don't know how to handle curly hair and iv accepted the fact when when I leave any hair salon my hair will be frizz city but things have come a lonnnnng way from me since back in the day using Depp gel lol

molchmolchmolchmolch: This was actually helpful and very cute. Thank you

Kerry Gray: Hot Sock?!? I had no idea this was a thing. Perfect for curly girl travel when you don’t want to pack a big diffuser! Thanks, JVN!
