It has been a journey to figure out my natural texture, and i know a lot of you can relate because you've requested this video so many times. So i'm going to dive into everything that i've learned this year. That'S really helped enhance my curls make them so much better than i could ever have imagined, and i also want to share everything that i've learned in terms of what's actually ruining your hair texture and how you can fix that. Because let me tell you, i was doing a lot of things wrong as you go up in the curl spectrum like type 4 hair, which is the most curly and coiled hair. I find that there's a lot of hair collections out there and like curly, hair products and methods for that specific hair type, which is great, but i just felt like there is nothing really to address my hair type, which is like a type 2. I definitely have that looser hair type that i just felt like most collections just didn't address, but now that i finally like gotten a routine down and the products that i really really like that have really transformed my hair. I feel like i can do this video now and give you some really good recommendations and, honestly, if one person watching this wants to embrace their natural hair, more often like i don't do this every day, but i've been doing it so much more often, then i I will i will be so happy, so what is my hair type after looking at all the charts and everything? I would classify my hair as a wavy to a loose curl pattern. It'S kind of that relaxed s shape. I have a couple curl patterns going on at once, which most of us do have definitely between that 2b 3a and the top of my hair tends to be looser, more limp, less volume which i've definitely been working on and the bottom's always been like just way More curly, let's get into my hair concerns, because i feel like a lot of us, have these concerns and feel like there's no hope for our hair type. But let me tell you there is a light, so i started straightening my hair at like the age of 12.. Okay, i hated curly hair. I felt like that was just the age of straightening, our hair. You know what i mean like. I was so self-conscious in middle school and ever since i've been pretty much straightening. My hair, like almost every day to every week, which i know sounds so bad over a decade of heat damage. I'Ve never done any like chemically straightening, my hair, i always wanted to. I just never did, but i've definitely colored my hair many times so that, on top of almost daily heat damage has definitely taken a toll on my hair texture. Can you relate like most of us? My hair was definitely way more defined. When i was a kid like, i had those like little ringlets but as i started, damaging my hair more and more and just not knowing like what products to use or just not using any products at all. When i was younger, my hair got really frizzy really dry, just so poofy. I will insert photos if i can find some. It was just tragic, so i definitely combated that with heat straightening it because i was like i will look crazy if i don't like haygard called and he wants his hair back. So i started experimenting with curly hair methods in march and i started sharing that journey. A little bit on instagram and asking you guys for product recommendations, because you know best, but the brand. We dad actually approached me in july, because i saw my post on instagram, which was really cool, and they thought that i would totally resonate with their new collection. That was coming out, so it wasn't out it only just came out in september. So that's why i couldn't share these products with you guys earlier um, and also i had to experiment for a while, because i was like i don't know if this was gon na work for my hair cause. I honestly was kind of giving up hope, but they assured me that their curl shaper collection that would be coming out in september was actually just for people with wavy to loose curl hair type, two hair, which i didn't even know. I had at the time - and i just thought that was so genius because i feel like that is just that was just missing. You know, like all the products were for really really curly hair, and i felt like it was just too much for my hair, like it just the products, never really fully worked for my hair, so i've actually been trying these products over the last few months. Really gotten down a routine i've gotten to try all the products out of the curl shaper collection, but i've narrowed it down to about three that i used consistently, and i found that like work really well for my hair type, that i really really recommend and have Just brought life back into my hair, like she's, got volume. Okay, who is she? I'Ve never had this much volume and like shape to my curls. Even my sister keeps asking me she's like when is this video coming out, because i need help so on to my routine. Okay, the only time that i brush my hair is right before i'm showering. Otherwise, like hairbrush, i don't know her put her down. I do it really gently. I don't want to like tug too much on my hair, but that's the only time because then, when i'm shampooing i can really get in there. I don't have any knots conditioning same thing. I have always shampooed every time i wash my hair, but i learned with curly hair that you really don't need to do that. Your curls actually need that oil to form have that smooth, cuticle and reduce the frizz and when you're like stripping that and shampooing constantly and constantly you're, just like getting rid of that oil that your hair so desperately needs in order to like have that shape. But the moisture restoring shampoo is actually oil-based, so it's going to mimic your hair's natural oils, which is really cool. Not only will this help cleanse, but it's also going to refresh and revive our loose curls. So this is gentle enough. If you want to wash your hair every single day, you totally can. But i will only use this like once a week or every other week, because i tend to only wash my hair once a week which i know a lot of people freak out about. But if you're watching this video odds, are you probably have curly hair? So you know you just do not need to do that. Also something that i learned this year. That was just so interesting to me is that the way curls are formed is in the shape of an s, so oils can't travel all the way down the hair shaft because of the way that our curls are formed. So that is why our hair gets so dry and you get split in you may relate to this. I would always overcompensate that by loading so many products onto my hair, especially throughout the week just to like maintain moisture or to like, give it that look that it's moisturized, but in reality that was just a band-aid that i was doing by like putting so many Oils and stuff on my hair, but that wasn't actually like fixing the problem. So that's why it's really important to use products like this that are really going to keep that moisture in your hair so that the oils can move freely throughout your hair strands. And that's going to smooth like all the flyaways and also the frizz by split ends. I always think of that mary, kate and ashley movie, where they're like looking at their split ends under a microscope. I was always horrified that that was gon na be me. So this has been so good, especially for taming, my frizz and then the next product. I use, of course, is the conditioner, but this is actually a co-wash. A lot of these products you will notice in this line, were specifically made to be multi-functional, so this is going to cleanse condition, detangle and nourish our curls. I had never used a co-wash before, but this is life-changing. This is a conditioner with cleansing properties. So this actually helps keep your scalp clean without having to shampoo every time. So i use this in two ways - one i will use this after. I shampoo like a normal conditioner, but in between those days of full washing, i can also co-wash, which is when i only use this, and i will use it from root to tip which sounds so scary. I was terrified at first i was like there is no way i can apply a conditioner to my roots. I'M just going to look so greasy, but this is so good. I did this last night and, like my hair, doesn't even look greasy at all. So, even when you're using this as a co-wash, this will help remove that build up, but it's also going to reset your curls. This will just give that life back into your hair. Another thing that surprised me was that this is actually really lightweight and i'm someone who has always gravitated towards really heavy, really thick conditioners because, like i said my hair has always been so poofy so dry that i thought i needed really heavy conditioners in order to Stay moisturized, but what i learned, which was like mind-blowing to me, is that that was actually weighing my hair down. So that's why my curls just were never able to be so like lively and bouncy because they were so weighed down by all the products. I was using and for methods when i'm in the shower. I again i have different hair types happening at once, so the top layer of my hair tends to be more limp. So when i do shampoo, i like to just focus it on the root, but i kind of like bring it up and get like these pieces as well and i'll start to scrunch it in my hair, really working it into my scalp and then, when i condition I like to separate my hair into sections like so so i'll, just kind of do like a front layer and a back layer pump the conditioner into my hands and work it at sections at a time, and i find that that just really makes sure that every Part of my hair gets the conditioner. Basically, what i'll do is. I will run the conditioner like so so that it really gets on every strand, and then i will scrunch it. I tend to turn the water off because i like to leave this on for, like three minutes put on some music and jam and then once i turn the water on to rinse this out, i make sure it's on really cool water, find that my hair looks Way more shiny, just like the curls turn out better than if i'm using really hot water again so important for a great foundation. My hair is so much less frizzy and the lighting is getting weird folks. I need to shut my window now, post shower. I first of all do not put a towel to your hair. That is the first thing that you can do. It will just make your hair so frizzy. If i do need to dry it out. Just like a tiny bit more, i will use a microfiber towel, but that is it. I will link the one that i use down below and when i use that, i really only leave that in my hair, for, like five minutes tops just so that i don't have like sopping wet hair. But sometimes i don't even use that. I will just let my hair flow and then i will apply my only product besides the shampoo and conditioner that i use like consistently. I am not one to have a huge, crazy, curl routine, and i've tried that this entire year, like again i've tried so many different products and methods, and some of them were like 10-step hair routines. So the only other product that i use consistently is the curl shaper out of thin hair volumizing jelly. This is actually made for people with finer hair, so i have a lot of hair and so people often think that i have thick hair, but i actually just have fine hair but a lot of it. But if you do have thicker hair, they have a product for you instead of this one, which is their take shape cream after i wash my hair, i will squeeze just like a quarter amount. I like to do this in sections again, just so that i really make sure i don't miss any spots. I really like to make sure that my curls are as defined as possible, and this makes sure that i can do that and i'll just gently scrunch. My hair from the ends to the root - this is a lightweight jelly. It gives definition to my curls without the heavy weight of oils and waxes, which are just too heavy for our hair type. It'S a really soft finish, there's absolutely no crunch and it doesn't dry. My hair out, it doesn't feel like i have anything in my hair, and it doesn't have that like sticky texture, which i feel like a lot of after shower curl defining products tend to have definitely my staple routine. I will be repurchasing and repurchasing till the end of time. I also have a couple post shower techniques. So after i scrunch my hair with all of the jelly i like to pin my hair up, i will have a middle part like so, and i like to kind of twist the top layer like so and then just apply a clip in my hair and i'll. Do this on both sides? So that's one way i like to kind of keep my curls more defined on top and then i'll, just let my hair air dry. Another thing i like to do is just after, like a half hour to an hour when my hair is still wet, my hair takes forever to dry, then i will just throw my hair in a really loose top knot: i'll use a silk scrunchie, always a silk Scrunchie get yourself a silk scrunchy. I don't think i mentioned this, but i like to shower in the evening. So this is all happening at night and then i'll just sleep with my hair in that top knot and always on a silk or satin pillowcase. It'S just going to help keep the frizz away, make our hair really smooth and not tugging on anything 99 of the time, i'm letting my hair air dry, because i'm trying this new thing, where i don't use heat a crazy concept, but on days that like if I have to leave the house or something then i will just use my diffuser. I'Ve also tried just diffusing this top layer, uh for a few minutes and then letting the rest air dry just so that it has like a little bit more definition. I find sometimes that works really well, i'm still testing the diffuser life, but we'll report back soon and then day three four. I will just either sleep with a topknot or really really loose braids. When you want to revive the curls, like i said earlier, you can do the co-wash life welcome to the co-wash life, but there is also another way to revive your curls without having to shower, which is always a plus. So i had to mention this because i do use this from time to time, and this is the bounce back reactivating mist again. This is another multi-use product, so you can use this on damp hair if you want to as like a leave-in conditioner or you can use it like. I do on dry hair on like day three four, it's like a reactivating mist, so it's just gon na help to revive your curls if you're, just using it on dry hair, to revive you just spray it all over your hair, like so all these products by The way smells so good and then you just scrunch away, i like to kind of hold it again, a little bit tighter at the top, and this adds moisture and also nutrients back to your hair. So if you take away anything from this, video just know that there are two major contributors that are ruining your hair, texture and type, the first being a lack of moisture that you're putting into your hair the other being heat damage. Chemical bleaching dyeing your hair and they're all made to help with both of that by adding moisture back into our hair nutrients, helping reverse all of that heat damage, and you can even use some of them overnight as well, and just remembering that you do not need To reset and reset your hair by shampooing every single day, all you really need to extend your style is just to co-wash, which will also add moisture back into your hair, or you can use something like this refreshing miss which is just gon na help. You extend your style today, two three, four seven, i don't judge. That is pretty much all i wanted to talk about today. I hope that you learned something from this. Video took something from this and honestly just. I hope that someone out there wants to try wearing their hair, naturally, because i really truly never thought i would see the day that i would want to wear my hair. Naturally curly like i just i thought my hair was doomed. Please send me some photos on instagram if you try any of these products out or if you try any of the methods, and i want to see like how your hair transforms. I think that would be really cool if this helped you at all. Please give this video a thumbs up to, let me know - and it also really really helps me out and do not forget to check out the we dad curl shaper collection, you guys they are so good. They are available. Now i'm so happy that i can finally talk about them. That is my curly hair routine. I hope you guys enjoyed this and until next time i will see you in my next video foreign

Gena Marie: So happy to see you wearing your hair natural!

Emma Scholtz: It's so true! Having type 2 curls is so hard to find products and routines for. It's not extremely curly and we can't use products for girls with really curly hair. But you can't follow the routine for girls with straight hair either. So happy I finally found videos like these for type 2 curls

Mia: Personally, I would've loved a full tutorial/walkthrough - maybe that's something you could show in another video?

Kaylee: This felt a little more like promoting the ouidad products instead of your routine. would love to see another video on it!! Your hair is gorgeous.

OldBluEyes 4: Finally! Someone with my exact hair type! Fine strands, but lots of it. 2b-3a…takes forever to dry! I’m working on embracing my natural hair. Thanks for the encouragement!

PaigetheMoonChild: I think you'd really love the pixie method for drying your hair. It's where you turn your hair dryer off when you are moving it from section to section. Put it up and scrunch with the diffuser, turn on, dry for a minute or two, turn off, unscrunch, move to next section and repeat. It helps reduce frizz pretty significantly and if you do it on low heat it'll be even better for helping with damage :) also have you ever tried plopping your hair with a cotton t-shirt or microfiber towels for 10/20 minutes after you apply product? It helps set the hair with the products in the shape as if you were scrunching it up that whole time. Plus it helps it dry faster and remove and excess product. Helps you not touch your hair right away too because if you're like me, I touch mine a lot or fling it around without noticing while it dries lol

Danielle Day: Best curly hair video I've seen! Finally one thats not just for tight curls. Also this was easy to follow. I would love to see your shower day routine as well as a non shower day in action :)

Puja: This has motivated me to embrace my natural curly hair :)

Nicole Langford: For people wondering if they should get these... check the ingrediants please. ALSO, they are not cruelty free. Her hair looks great, but they have some sketch reviews after googling.

Lilith King: your hair and my hair is literally the same. same curl type (2b-2c with tighter curls throughout sometimes), straighter at the top, finer but a LOT of it. oh my god, thank you for making this video because i too have a lot of damage and looking for a change for my hair journey!!

Angela Rivera: I soooooooo needed this! I swear we have the SAME HAIR and this gives me so much hope . I'm excited to embrace my curls and start the healing process .. my hair has also been dyed and straightened for over a decade also lol

JP: Can’t believe that’s your natural hair! It’s gorgeous. I’m still transitioning right now. I’m excited to see how my hair will turn out. :)

Jasmine Smith: So happy to see you wearing your natural hair Caitlyn! I've been natural for like 5 years now and it's the best thing....now you get to wear your straight hair while looking beautiful but also curly while looking beautiful! Glad you decided to embrace your natural roots :)

Rose F: Same exact situation and hair type thank you SO MUCH for this video girl your awesome❤️

Jennifer Moore: I'm SO glad I found you! Your journey feels so similar to mine. I was a product of the early 2000s/2010s hair straightening trend too and have finally come to embrace my 2b-2c hair too! I'm looking forward to giving your routine a try because I still haven't quite found what I've been looking for thus far. I hope this is it!

Elise Mo: I am so glad I found your channel! I have hair that varies between 2a, 2b, and 2c, depending on where you look on my head . I also have finer hair, but a lot of it. I recently had to chop a few inches because of heat damage. I am trying so hard to embrace my curls, but they just suck. I might have to give these products a try and see if the lighter products might be able to help before I resolve to a keratin treatment.

Ellie Forrest: Omg I literally have the same story as you. I hated my curls and straightened them for so long! Then I’d overload my hair with coconut oils and heavy protein based masks to counter the dryness and frizz. But then this caused a major buildup and now it’s super low porosity and will not absorb anything. Just found out about the curly girl method and currently researching but it’s so amazing to know so many others have the exact same hair as me cuz I thought I was the only one :)

Helen: Just found you Caitlin, thank you for helping me get on my hair revival journey. I’m not sure if this curly girl thing is an American movement that has been around for a while or not.... but I’m a Brit and ever since I can remember, hairdressers have always wanted to go against my natural kinks. Since lockdown I’ve been trying to support my hair and treat it better, getting the condition and curl pattern back to health! Your video has been very helpful, I’ll have to watch the others now, thank you! X

kayley kolman: Never seen a curly hair youtuber with such a similar hair type to me in every way. This actually felt like it would be helpful to me, will be trying this once my hair finally grows back out.

Arianna Miron: Thank you for this My hair currently looks like your before pic so I will definitely be trying ouidad and all of your tips and tricks!

Anabella: This is the first video I’ve seen from you and I already love you, also I was SO happy to see someone with very similar hair to mine!! This is definitely a lifesaver

Mo To: Can’t wait to try this routine I just know it’s going to work

Erin Kelley: Thanks for sharing your experience with the curly hair products. You and I both have similar curly hair types so it is nice to see you have great results. You curly hair is so pretty and love the length! I also struggle with frizz and poof so looks like the products will help. I also pin the top of my hair on both sides as well, that definitely helps with the volume. I wish the Ouidad products were cheaper though.

greekchick104: OMG. THANK YOU FOR THIS!!! I have the same hair type, and I have been struggling for YEARS to enhance my curls and find a hair care routine that would work!

Kendal Nadine: YASSSS so happy you’re embracing your natural hair! I have 2A/2B waves and still figuring it out

isabella c: you helped me embrace my hair SOOOO much i always straightened it and as soon as i forgot to i saw my curly hair- it was so pretty but very damaged and your helping me rock this curly hair!

Christina Scenna: Literally scoured youtube for someone with the same hair type and porosity as me for so long. Thank you for making a video about your new routine!!! Super helpful :)

Cassandra Kieling: Thank you for this girl! I have the same hair and same story with it! OMG literally we have the same hair! Each hair strand is super fine and fragile but I have soooo much of it! I never see hair like mine on YouTube or instagram, I find people with that have hair that is the same as mine in either curl type, thickness, density or porosity! So thank youuuu

Natalie Ruiz Castillo: I am so elated to finally find someone with almost my exact hair types! (And we have the same colors going on). I may try this line now. Thank you!!!

Caitlin Bea: I AM SO HAPPY I can finally share these incredible products with you guys!!! BYE FRIZZ!

Jenny Rubio: This was so helpful! I have been trying to find products that work for my hair type for so long. I will def. give these a try. I learned a lot from this video. Thank you ♥️

Alaina Rhodes: Just wanted to let you know that air drying your hair can actually be more damaging than using heat! It's also damaging to your scalp. Manes by Mel has a really good video explaining the science behind it, it's worth checking it out :)

Sarah Perault: This is the first video I have seen W/ someone explaining my exact hair type with a reasonable routine TY!!

shuhnellx: Thank you for sharing!! My hair is very similar to yours and I needed this. Excited to try these products. Also would like to see your after-shower styling routine!

Tamara.j: THANK U for sharing this! Omg finally i found a curly hair video i can actually relate to.. we have very similar hairs and i hope one day i can sit in front of the mirror and also have such amazing curls like u have :)

Laís Sena: Your natural hair just looks like the most sophisticated heat curls effect, I'am impressed, so beautiful You should wear it more like this

Louise Styles: Beautiful! I love it! I'll be trying the methods and products myself.

Savvy714: Your hair is so much like mine and its nice to know what I was doing wrong and how to correct it. Thanks for your input! I'll likely be buying the products used ^^

Sunday Jess: So excited to finally see this video because I feel like we have similar hair textures so I'm purchasing all the products you just listed right now! lol wish you had linked each product so I didn't have to hunt on the website but I'm excited to try and happy Ouidad isn't crazy expensive

jasminezone: your hair is so pretty !! this was so helpful <3

Jenn Hawkins: It’s so hard to style 2c-3a-b hair!! I have your hair texture and even more so now that I’m in my 3rd pregnancy! I’m excited to see what you say!

Nicole Silva: Love to see women embracing their natural curls!! And I also love your hair color. It’s highlights, right?

McKenna Sampson: Um wow. I think my hair is exactly like yours and I have been wanting to wear my natural hair. Everything you say resonates, especially the use of thick conditioners because I thought it would help my frizz and dry hair. Thank you for this video ❤

Elizabeth A.: Literally the same, straightened for 10+ years, I even tried weird myth methods like mayonnaise disgustingI was born with curls and went to wavy from all the damage and now natural is back in finally!!

Hanea O: Hello! Please make more videos about your curly hair, it is gorgeous! Mine has the same curl pattern and color finally found someone similar. Greetings!

TaLulaLu: I LOVE your hair!!! Also try hover diffusing. I have VERY thick curly hair and it’s been a huge game changer in the amount of time it takes to dry. Also sometimes I just use it to get the roots dry and let the rest air dry.

Emi Sully: I just bought Ouidad's humidity control gel and they included a sample of the curl shaper milk and cleansing cream. Now I'm excited to try them out!

Bridgeeee💕💕: I have trouble with my hair sometimes because it has so many different types of curls/waves All the people with curly hair: your hair is beautiful and unique! “You are fearfully and wonderfully made.” Psalm 139:14

Dacia Hurlock: Thank you!!! Your hair is just like mine and I needed this!

Dallace LaDawn: Loved this video! I have been looking for something for my hair as well but I have noticed too that most products would weigh my curls down or were made for really curly hair types. Definitely gonna try! I also kinda like tressemme curl line too.

Georgia Fox: You completely described my hair. Going to Ulta this weekend!

Hiba Zafran: FINALLY! Advice I can use! When you said your hair isn’t thick, you just have lots of it. That’s me! Heavy products. Check. Etc. Amazing. Q. Could you do a quickie about your actual haircut?

Jourdan Travers: I’m so happy you posted this video because we have the exact same hair!! Thank you!

Kim Hillman: Your hair is beautiful. I have a problem ‘laying’ my hair sections on top in the right way to satisfy me with how it looks when it dries. Yes that is still a mission impossible in my curl journey and I am 50+. How did you set your sections to get that great up and over on the left side to the right?

Riley Paige MC: I know ppl are giving you a lot of flack for your partnership but I hope you don’t worry to much about it. Listening to your story, it all makes sense why you introduced the products the way you did! Thank you for the info and routine!

Denise Moye: Your hair is ridiculously GORGEOUS!!!! Why we fight our curly hair I don’t know….Beautiful ♥️

Amanda Whitis: I’m comming back to this in the AM. This has got to be the first video that stays with one line, that’s the only thing I feel is skeptical. Hee-hee! I just bought the shampoo and the volumizing jelly but also bought the curl Smith bouncy strength volume foam. I got that thin hair too and live in Arizona! I haven’t dyed my hair since January 26th. Thanks for the video. Update: first day using it, it has the same texture as the volumizing Paul Mitchell shampoo. Tried to do the curly girl method with just the shampoo and the gel and my hair was a mess, it looked thick but frizzy as ever. Day two, tried the shampoo and fell again, had tangles so bad I had to wet my hair again and grab conditioner and let it set for 7 mins. Detangled, add gel, at the end of the day I had huge tangles by the nape Of my neck Day 3. Taking both products back to ulta Bc I had so many tangles, I had 5 rolled up loose hair balls on the bathroom floor. Avoid at all costs

Marta Serrano: So so so helpfull!!! Thank you so much also your hair is beautiful

Belinda Chappell: Finally I’ve found someone with similar hair to mine, thank you I hope these products are available in Australia

allie froelich: This is the same exact hair product that I use ! I absolutely love it

Kristina Aranilla: Your hair is absolutely gorgeous!!!

gabrielaa 000: Finally someone who has similar hair pattern to mine!! I’m still transitioning so I’m trying different products but I find it hard to find products for my hair as it’s wavy mixed with some loose curls ... so I’d need some lightweight products. I’m gonna have to try ouidad line you’re using :) I hope my hair starts to look as beautiful as yours in the future x

Samantha Meyer: You have the EXACT same hair type as me & I’m so excited about all these recommendations

Truthbetold Ashley: You are so beautiful And your video was actually really good. And finding hair type is so difficult because I am in between different hair types and porosity. I have started using this straightener/comb and it has saved me time and energy I honestly don’t have the patience for a blow dryer and comb especially if I am going to work at 8am lol . I have really course hair and I got this brush straightener from this website straightn.com When I tell you my life is easier and a blow out and straightening process is an everyday thing I can literally sleep an extra hour It’s a must because you won’t have to use a brush can you imagine!! Well obviously after detangling your hair lol please try out let me know what you think.

Geri C: Omg this is my hair type. It’s so hard to find that perfect curl

Hannah Shea: This video spoke sooo much to my needs, I just wish companies would quit making products with fragrance so I could actually use them

Tiffany Miner: I have been trying to wear my curly hair naturally since 5th grade- I was around a 3a curl- nice ringlets of curl. Well I didn't think they were nice- more of a pain in my arse to detangle. This last year or so I got hypothyroidism, which I noticed my hair falling out (more than usual from the detangle battle scars). Worse- it was thinning. I had or add another loop to my pony tail to once thick/medium hair. Now it it's thin- not too thin but still. My curl are now a 2b-2c depending on the humidity. I wasn't used to having to wear extra product for my hair to curl. I just put in some lemon grass curl leave in condition to control frizz- air dry done. But now it's so frizzy no matter what. I still see the S curls but they're hidden in a ton of frizz. I go to my hair stylist to get a cut and advice- which I now realize did NOT have my hair's health in mind. Here I was thinking about going to long long hair (down to my hips- I get it trimmed to mermaid length every 6month-1 year) to short to get my curl back and talk about let's just color the ends and have fun with them before I chop them off. She suggests lightening my hair and for me to straighten it every time I shower! Note to anyone: if your salon is advertising keratin treatments as healthy for your hair- find a new one! Also take a good look at the amount of heat they use on your blow outs, heat protector or not. What about their coloring methods? Do their products use hydrogen peroxide? The stuff that makes your hair turn grey faster? No thanks! Do they try to sell you on "natural" hair dye that's "amonia free" when in reality almost all amonia free dyes have to use a chemicals that's been proven to cause birth defects and cancer while amonia is still up for debate? Anyways, forgive my rant. I have now resorted so far blown dried my hair straightener with a hot Dyson. I was just so sick of the tangly frizz! Your hair before looks like mine now! I will definitely try out your routine! I love how my curls look. And I don't want to damage them!

Nadia Ruiz: Thank youuuu~~~ I really really needed this lol ~ seriously my hair is getting damaged by my mom it’s difficult to find stuff for me cuz I’m mixed so I got my dad’s hair he’s Puerto Rican so these recommendations are really helpful

Urban Chicken Momma: How do you get rid of the tangles on day 2,3,4? My hair is super thick and tangles easily. Thanks for the video!

Lizzy: Your hair is so beautiful!❤️

Chrystal Thornton: Hagrid vibes! Harry Potter never lets the curl challenged down. Thought my cobwebs were just the results of age but maybe there is hope yet. You look great.

Yumna Rudwan: Im 12 rn and I HaTe my crly hair, I started straightening it a few months or weeks ago, and I just feel so much better and less stressed, but i used the tips in ur vids and now Im actually okay with crly hair, it's not as bad as i thought :)

Katelyn Nelly: I never realized my hair type is actually 2b/2c. Now I'm on a hair journey to get the best waves I can

Elveera Lobo: This is a perfect video. All that you discussed. I have similar hair.

aribehave: I trust your judgement. I’m going to try this and let you know how it goes. Thx for the recommendation

Kaz Winchester: how simple the steps are is giving me hope, the million steps is killing me.

Lucy Goosie: Those products sound like what I need. I also have a loose curl pattern with very fine hair and lots of it. Everything I’ve tried weighs my hair down and makes it crunchy and sticky feeling (scrunching out the crunch doesn’t seem to work). It’s so hard to find tutorials for type 2 hair.

PaigetheMoonChild: I really want to recommend you trying mousse! You probably have but I'm also the same where I don't like using tons of products in my hair. I often put a little bit of a leave in conditioner and just a mousse (I use the herbal essences totally twisted curl mousse and I swear this stuff is gold. It's only $3.28 CAD too) and sometimes a gel to set it when I go out and I find it works amazing on me and I have about a 2c/ 3a curl type. Doesn't weigh down your hair at all since it's so lightweight and fluffy. The hair gel from their line is amazing too, I've only used it a couple of times since I got it but it has such good hold without feeling really heavy as well. It can leave a cast/ crunch if you use a more generous amount but I just hand scrunch my hair when it's 100% dry and it's perfect

Jessica Hickey: I looked at the thumbnail before I read the title and was like oh my gosh how does she curl her hair!?

Nycc Kayy: Finally I found someone who has my hair type my hair used to be 3a but I put way too much heat and now my hair is extremely dry and my curl pattern is more loose

Germán Rivas: As a male with this type of hair this is gold.

Shraddha: I wish you listed your individual product choices in the bio rather than the whole line, but regardless super stocked to try these!! Thanks babes

Agnes: Omg! Thank you soooo much for this video, I have 2c-3a,

sarah johnston: I legit have the same hair as you, and I’m always straightening it because I don’t know what to do with the curls. It’s always dry/ frizzy and won’t grow... I’m keen to try this product line!

Allison Koeppl: As soon as I heard straightening your hair I’m like I’m in the right place because I straightened mine for 3 years and I was using a crappy heat protected after a couple months of straightening and yeah

Angelina: I was always thinking I have just frizzy hair and started to straighten my hair. Finally I just cut my hair really short. The curly hair was like a dream for me and I was thinking: Well I need to make curls with heat. I will never have them naturally. Tomorrow I have seen a girl in social media, she showed a picture of her frizzy hair. Then she showed a picture where she had curly hair and said: If your hair look so (frizzy) you maybe have curly hair. Then I was thinking: Maybe I have naturally curls? I washed my hair and let them airdrying. And I have curly hair, naturally!!! I am so happy! ^^ I also have a mixture of different hairtypes, similar to yours. All this years I didn't know how to take a right care of my hair. Thank you for sharing your experience! It is really helpfull!!!!! I am so happy now!!!! Thank you, so much!!!!!!!

Janelley Harris: Wonderful review video!

Sapphire Rain: Title a little misleading, I was expecting to see your routine and not promoting these products. Your hair is pretty though.

Tatiana Piras: omg both you and you hair are BOMB!

marcie986: Love your hair!! I feel like it's the closest to what mine can be! What type of cut do you have? I usually wear mine short but I've been growing it out and it's almost as long as yours but the shape it awful for my curls! Please share your cut type and thanks so much for your tips and honesty!!

tamy8a: Thanks for this! Andd yes people always freak out when i say i wash my hair once a week curly hair dont care

Oindrila Ghosh: Im 25...almost 26 and literally at the age of 21 was when I discovered my hair is curly! LOL cause my whole life my mom used to brush my hair and that would brush out the curls. All I knew was Im supposed to brush my hair but that would just make my hair look messier. Naturally, I have kind of like your hair but until I turned 21 my hair was a frizzy mess and I HATED it. then I saw some vids and realized my mom was not only doing my hair wrong but also her own (She has more tighter curls).

Shy Joy: My mom always made me straighten my hair every single day, now I’m 17 and my hair has always been curly/wavy but it’s always frizzy because I’m forced to brush it which has made my hair get frizzy which leads me to straighten it, any advice?

TgPlayz: 9:46 FINALLY SOMEBODY GETS IT I HAVE THICK HAIR BUT IN THE WAY THAT ITS FINE AND THERES A LOT if makes it tangle so easily im so glad I’m not alone

Shannon Brakebill: Dig it! Thanks for sharing! Can you share exactly how you save your hair over night. I have hair remarkably similar to yours, just maybe a few inches longer, and I can never save it over night to my satisfaction. THANK YOU! <3

Rochelle Holmes: I have your hair type. I cut it into a bob because it is so frizzy and tangled since I moved to Florida. Which Quidad products are you using? I've been using their moisture lock. Love your hair ❤

oneofakind: I could have used this so much in 6th grade but I'm 37 so YouTube and social media didn't exist Plus in the 90s crusty curls were in lol ugh I would have had amazing hair but I'm glad to find it now because I need to recover it from 27 years of straightening

Lora Beth T: Finally! My hair texture

Cassandra R: Your before looks the same as mine. Hoping to get it like yours is now.

Bronte Lebo: How do you get your hair cut? I’ve found that mine doesn’t curl too well unless I have it short or with a lot of layers, but I LOVE how long and full your hair is
