This is requested. I'Ve been getting a lot of questions about what my favorite products are and I will go through those with you today, there's quite a few products down here. I'M realizing that I might have a problem, a shopping problem. Let me just say that it is very easy to get sucked off into the product junkie into the pool while doing the curly girl method, while you're trying to figure out what works for your hair and what doesn't, and I I feel like it's. It shows up. Just how many products you'd go through when you're doing the curly girl method, because you are trying so many products in a short period of time. I remember before doing the curly girl method. I would buy different hair products a lot, but I tended to spread it out a little bit more. I would try a product for a while and I would realize that I wasn't really liking it, so I would go to the store and buy another one that I thought might work for me and I would use that for a longer period of time before I Would go and try and find something else, but when you're doing the curly girl method, everything is so new, it's so shiny and so different, and you think I've got to trade this product and I've got to try this product and I've got to see what happens Here, or at least that is what happened to me and along the way I have found products that really really work well for me, I'm, including a large variety of products, because these products may not be readily available to you, but other products that I mentioned might Be read of readily available to you, so that's why this video is going to be kind of long. I'M guessing it's gon na be kind of long, because there's a lot of products here and that's why it's so extensive. I have also included a full washday lineup of all my favorite products, so I will be talking about shampoos, conditioners, leavings, curl, enhancers, gels and deep conditioners, so we're gon na be here for a while um. Please subscribe if you're enjoying my channel. I would love to have you guys around for some more videos. I have a lot more coming soon so hit that notification, though so that you'll know when I do upload and leave a comment down below what your favorite curly girl approved product is. I would love to try it because that is something I do. I in a chronic experimenter. I love trying new products, so I just realized. I have had that piece of frizz sticking up this whole time see everybody gets friends, it's part of doing the curly girl method, oh mylanta. Alright, let's go ahead and get started starting off with the shampoo category. I'M going to show you one that I've talked about a lot. This is the Giovanni tea tree triple treat shampoo. I find this to be borderline clarifying. This makes my hair squeak delightfully when I'm done washing with it, which makes me feel like I'm really getting it clean. But there is no sulfates in this shampoo, I'm double checking, but there are some pretty pretty cleansing ingredients in the first few ingredients. So if you're somebody whose hair dries out very quickly, you may not like this, but I find it to work really well. For me, my hair really enjoys this product. This product is also good. If you have some scalp issues, if your scalp is flaring up and feeling rather itchy and inflamed, I find that the tea tree and peppermint - and this is so soothing - my husband - has very oily hair and he actually uses this as his shampoo, and he has noticed That his hair is getting less oily and his scalp issues have diminished quite a bit, so he really really likes this and I bought him, the giant one from TJ Maxx, but I also have smaller one next up is the top gentle shampoo I reached for this. So much it gives me a good suds. It helps my hair feel nice and clean, and I love the smell of this and the smell lingers, but like just the right amount, like not so overpowering ly, lingering in your hair that you feel kind of like overwhelmed by the scent, but it lingers slightly. You can like smell your hair and be like. Oh, my hair smells pretty today. This is cleansing. This is not stripping. It does contain sodium C. 1416 coconut öhlins sulfonate. It'S not an actual sulfate, but it is one of those ingredients that can be drying to some people, but I find that it works really well on my hair to cleanse my oily scalp, because your girl is oily. It does contain vitamin E willow bark extract vitamin B sorbitol, which is a film forming humectant, and it contains honey and seaweed extract and silk amino acids. So there is a lot of really nice nourishing ingredients in this shampoo as well. So if you're a person, who's really sensitive to being dried out, this is the foaming shampoo for you, my friend, I can detangle my hair. While this is lathered up in my hair, it smells heavenly. I am very picky about my sense. I I don't like really really strong, strong, strong scents and I like products that the smell will linger in my hair, but not over over over linker in my hair. How many times can I say over um? So this is foaming and it is very hydrating that there's nothing this hydrating, that foams like this in my collection, also you'll notice that I am NOT talking about Co - washes in this video because I have a battle of the Co washes video come in at Jeff Kerr pretty quick, it's going to be exciting. I am very excited to dive into co-washing and really thoroughly test it out. I would like to really make it work for me thus far, especially in the summer I have been reaching for things that foam, because when there's bubbles I feel like I'm getting clean. I know that you can get clean with a co-wash. So I'm going to challenge myself, but if you need some bubbles and you need the hydration seek no further there, you are now. This is another very clarifying product. It gives you a delightful squeak, it is mint, it is soothing, it is sulfate free, it is clarifying and it is very natural and very clean. It'S the Anansi clarifying shampoo that I talked to what talked about a while back. I love this stuff. I love it. My favorite way to use it so far has been when I have done my product free wash day, routine um. I will try and link it up here in the eye, but I love washing with this and then using this conditioner right after it and just letting my hair air dry, my hair, I can run my fingers through my hair for days and my scalp stays nice And clean when I use this, so those are four of my favorite low poos and I mentioned four so that, if one's not available to you, perhaps another one will be alright, since I already kind of touched on it. Let'S talk about the Anansi soothing, mint, moisturizing conditioner. This is like, unlike any other conditioner I've ever used, it is insanely concentrated. You only need a tiny bit and your detangles just completely melt out of your hair they're gone. It is soothing mint scent and, like I said, my hair is like I could finger detangle it for days like it never tangles after I put something like this in it, it's very, very hydrating. It doesn't weigh my hair down, I'm floored by this stuff. This stuff is very, very good and it's so concentrated. It will last me for a long time, and even though it's like 1499, I believe for this size. It'S gon na last me for forever. So the next shampoo I'm going to be talking about is the mop top daily conditioner infused with aloe and sea botanicals and honey. It also contains silk, immuno essence and some other delicious ingredients in here. This has the same scent as the shampoo. This is another conditioner that I could use that I can just like finger detangle, my hair for days after I use it. It really blew my mind the first time I used it now. If you need a little protein in your conditioner, you need to grab you. The Giovanni smoothest, sell conditioner. This conditioner is feather-light so lightweight. I know it says that it's part of the deep conditioning family, but it's moisturize like it, does it moisturizes and deeply conditions. Your hair, but it never weighs my hair down such a cool product. It does contain hydrolyzed soy protein so if you're very, very sensitive to proteins. Your hair might react to this, but I reach for this a lot because it hydrates my hair without making my hair become over hydrated. I find that, while I'm watching doing a regular kind of wash day, I need to grab at least two products with proteins in them in order for me to have a balanced wash day, if I grab all products with no protein in them, my hair won't necessarily Turn out as well as if I grabbed at least a couple with protein in it. So that's why this is one of my favorites. If I find that I'm using an entire lineup with no protein, I will throw this in there, because this really helps balance out. My hair, so if I am using products in my stylers that have protein, I will grab the Jessi curl a loba daily conditioner. Now, for those of you who are real real good at reading ingredients, labels you're gon na look at this and you say, but Courtney it contains hydrolyzed oat. Flour isn't that a protein. Well, I had the opportunity to hear Carmen the formulator for Jessie curls speak on that and she actually said that hydrolyzed oat flour is a very, very large protein molecule and it will actually coat your hair strand. It won't necessarily penetrate into your hair strand and reconstruct your hair from the inside out. It actually behaves more like a film forming humectant. Also y'all. Remember those oatmeal baths, your mama used to give you back when you were really little and had chickenpox. No just me, that is where the oat flour is coming into play in this product. It is incredibly soothing. It is good for people who have allergies, it or eczema or dry scalp, it's a very, very hydrating, soothing ingredient. So this is the protein free conditioner option that I will grab if I'm using protein in all my stylers so now on to leave-in. It is hard for me to find a leave-in that I like, because I find that mostly Vin's weigh my hair down or don't perform the way I would like for them to in my hair. So this is the only leave-in that I'm gon na be talking about. This is the curls blueberry blitz leave-in. It contains hydrolyzed quinoa and silk amino acids, but they're pretty far down on the ingredients label. So, if you're trying out protein for the first time in your hair, this is a really good place to start because it won't shock your hair with a whole lot of protein. It'Ll just introduce a little bit of protein. I really like this product. It really helps my hair clump together beautifully, and it has a little kick of protein. So typically, if I'm reaching for a leave-in, it's this one. Some most days, though, I find I don't even need a leave-in, because my hair is so hydrated from all the delicious shampoos and conditioners that I'm using. So if you do need a leave-in or if I feel like I need to leave in this is the one I like to grab now on to curl enhancers, and I have several if several and I can't choose between them because they're my babies, so the kinky Curly curling custard, oh, this is awesome, as you can see, I've used about half of it um. I love using this right after leave-in and squishing in a pretty generous amount. I find that this does not have enough hold on its own, but it is incredibly moisturizing. I believe, let me find the ingredients label. This contains a decent amount of organic aloe vera juice, and some people find that they have flash drying with this. Other people find that the other ingredients in here balance that out enough that they don't react to it. I have a lot of curl enhancement when I use this. If you can't get your hands on this, I would highly recommend you try the uncle Funky's daughter, curly magic, curl stimulator. This has even more aloe in it, but it is amazing, curl enhancer. I find that I can use this on its own and it gives me a really good wash day. I also find that I really enjoy this with a hard whole gel paired on top it plays so well. This has been a very versatile product for me and it's been a staple for a really long time. So this is an absolutely fabulous curl enhancer now two products that are newer to me, but that have really blown me away. Are the tre luxe high definition gel and the an Aussie coconut avocado curl, defining custard? The reason that I am cluding these kind of in the curl enhancing category is is because they have more hold than the custards that I just showed you, and I know this one's a custard but they're not quite a hard hold gel. So I would call these medium to hard whole, but not hard hold gel. So I feel like they're one step above the custards that I showed you this product is an amazing one. In done styler it is hydrating, it is curl defining and it has good hold. Y'All saw in that video the hold was very nice um. I have really been enjoying this product and it's so clean and so natural. I love that when I can, when I have that option and the product works well and is highly effective, that is where I'm gon na go. That is a product that I enjoy reaching for another really clean product is the tre luxe gel. It has slightly more hold than the an Aussie custard, but I've also used this as a one and done. I will also say that this is incredibly hydrating. If your hair tends to be more dry, you are gon na just love this product. This product gives your hair so much shine and definition, and it smells so good. Can you tell that? I love it when stuff smells good, I must sucker for when things smell good, it's a very strong floral, jazz mini kind of scent um and it does linger. I noticed that when I'm diffusing my hair with this stuff in it, I just I'm smelling it and I'm enjoying it, and it's just it's good times, so this product is so good, so so good moving on to hard hold gels y'all have seen these before. I have talked about these before so I'm going to go fairly quickly. I like a good hard hold gel. If I'm gon na bother with a gel, I need it to be hard hard hold, and currently these are what is giving it to me. This contains no protein and no glycerin. It is very thick. There are lots of people who don't get along well with this product because of how thick it is. I find that it works well for me when i dilute it down with water, like I did in my Giovanni all Giovanni wash they line up and when I apply it on soaking, wet hair. You have to squish this product in until your hair no longer feel sticky. If your hair is still feeling sticky, you didn't squish. If you squish enough, the water in your hair will emulsify with this product and evenly coat. Each hair strand in each hair strand will have the glorious hold that it desires and it will behave and your life will be beautiful, so mmm love this. It kind of gives my hair just a tiny bit of grit, which I like, because it gives me bubble volume when my hair is just a tiny bit gritty. I mean a tiny bit: it's just a little little bit. It won't make your hair feel slippery. It makes it feel just slightly voluminous okay. I hope that made sense. The other incredibly hard hold gel that I like is the biosilk rock art jelly. There are two formulas of this gel, so one of them does contain a drank alcohol. I happen to grab the one that did not have it and, as far as I know, everything on here is curly girl approved. I really like this, because this is the only gel I have used in my entire curly girl journey. That gives me a cast now getting cast does not necessarily mean that the product has good hold. I have talked about other products already in this video that don't give me a cast that do give me hold, but this one gives me a cast and it gives me hold and there's something really satisfying about scrunching out an actual crunch. I rarely get an actual crunch to scrunch out. This, though, does give it to me, and the last thing I'm gon na be talking about today in my favorites video will be the deep conditioners and I have two options and honestly, I love both of these equally and they're so different and I use them differently, But anytime I run out of the I've actually repurchased this when I still had a full one in in my cabinet, because I freaked out and thought I didn't have it so I repurchased it. It is the Jessie curl deep treatment. This is protein free, and this is one of the very first deep conditioners that I bought and tried. I think that this product is highly responsible for the transformation in my hair. It is so so hydrating and my favorite way to use this right after I do. A rice, water rinse, I have heard of people mixing this with rice, water and having really good results. But I personally, what I like to do is clarify: apply a rice, water, rinse rinse, it all out and then follow up with this, and let this sit on my hair by itself for thirty to forty-five minutes under a warm towel that I've just pulled out of The dryer um seriously amazing deep conditioner. I personally enjoy the citrus lavender scent lot. Some people enjoyed the island fantasy, but Jessie curl also offers fragrance free options for people who are incredibly sensitive to scents, so seriously go try it like it's mmm, it's good another one and the very last product that I'm going to talk about is the curl junkie. Repair me: yes, just yes on this product, it is actually a reconstructive hair treatment and the reason it's called a treatment is that it contains a protein in the first five ingredients of its ingredients list. So this is actually a reconstructive treatment. If your hair is defcon5 wildly wildly damaged or wildly wildly over hydrated, this is what you reach, for. I also find that this product is hydrating enough for me to use it and throw it to use it after I clarify so I will clarify, apply this under a warm towel from the dryer for thirty minutes. I don't leave this one on longer than that because much longer than that - and it will be too much for my hair too much protein. I know I finally found the limit to the protein. My hair will take so about 30 minutes with this, and then I will rinse it out and style as usual, and my hair is restored to its former glory anyway. Thank you guys so much for watching this video. I really really appreciate it again. Tell me what your favorite products are down below. I love talking about what products people like it is so much fun and there are so many different hair types out there and what works for me may not work for you, but if you are just wondering where to start and products that are worth trying, these Are the products that I personally think are really really worth the money that I personally will be repurchasing when I run out of, I know, there's a lot here to repurchase, but I will do it because I love these anyway. Thank you guys so much for being here with me tonight and I hope you have an absolutely fabulous day and I will talk to you later. Bye,

Freddie Mercury: I have type 2 hair and one of my favorite products is the Aunt Jackie’s Don’t Shrink Gel. It has a really nice hold, but it leaves my hair soft and not crunchy. It is also enriched with flaxseed and other stuff so it helps with hair growth. Hope this is helpful to someone!

Lluvia Rain: I have 2A waves and if anyone's curious, my go-to products for these hot summer days are the Herbal Essences Body Envy mousse (it's in an orange bottle, has more hold than Totally Twisted and is also CGM-approved) and the Herbal Essences foam conditioners (I have an orange bottle, it was $3). Keeps my hair light and voluminous and the mousse re-casts with water day after day for refreshes.

Karrie Kledehn: I just discovered you a few weeks ago and watching you made me FINALLY jump in and actually start the cgm for real .....instead of just playing around with it. I have the same hair 2A, B, C, with 3A thrown in, when it feels like it. I am currently buying SOOO many products!! But is fun. I've taken care of my hair for years, only washing 1-2(mostly) times a week, no blow drying or diffusing, except having my hair blown out 6-8 times a year when I get it colored or for a special event. Because of you I actually feel like I can do cgm!!

Caitlin Hubbard: THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS. You and I have very similar hair - I have 2A/2B and have NO idea how to operate with it. I have always had pin straight hair until college, and I've been a manic straightener for years. In the past 5 or so years, I've given up with the straightener unless for fancy occasions, and almost ALWAYS wear my hair in a pony, bun, or braid because i just have NO IDEA WHAT TO DO! You're amazing. Thank you so much. PS. LOVE your shirt.

Amy Tozser: Why hello, Miss Courtney! I SO enjoy your videos, and thought I'd add a couple of my faves to your list. For conditioner (you can leave it in or wash it out- I usually wash out approx 85%), I LOVE Kinky Curly Knot Today conditioner. For a refresher, I've had great results with Curls Lavish Curls Moisturizer 2nd Curl Refresher (which, by the way, can also be your leave in conditioner). It's very lightweight and non-stick and can be used on dry refreshing (my hair either doesn't like wet refreshing, or I just haven't figured out the right formula). I get a really good gel cast with Curlsmith In Shower Fixer on super soaked hair. And! Last but not least, for a lightweight leave in conditioner (should you use one- I know you mentioned you don't always), I recommend Mielle White Peony leave in. It's pretty new I guess, and my hair really responds well to it. Thank you for all of your videos- you're smart, funny, bright, beautiful AND killer hair- The Whole Package!

Angela G: Thanks for the video Courtney. Some of my favs so far are the Giovanni Smooth as Silk Shampoo & Conditioner and the Direct Leave In; As I Am Cowash and Leave In; Shea Moisture 100% Coconut Shampoo & Conditioner; Shea Moisture Sacha Inchi Oil Omega 3,6,9 Defining Smoothie; Dippity Do Girls w/Curls Gelee. I also like several of the DevaCurl products but found that I can't use them exclusively. I have to change up after a few weeks. I haven't tried Jessiecurl or Moptop yet but they are on my list.

Alena Cade: Hey, girl! Just found your channel, and I'm really enjoying it! Can you please make a video explaining why you reach for specific products? When do you choose a protein, how much is too much protein, etc.?? Thank you!!

Tracey C: I think my all time favorite product ever is the Treluxe gel. I feel like it's a hard hold gel for me. Moptop custard and daily conditioner are things I've reordered multiple times because they are great products. Love the bouncecurl clump cream also.

Jamie Sculley: So glad I found your channel! I have wavy hair and am finding my hair likes protein too. I use the Giovanni tea tree shampoo and love it! I need to get their smooth as silk conditioner because I used to use it and remember that it made my hair unbelievably soft! ❤️

Megankay Motivate: I just got a line up from this. I wanted the Gel by Giovanni, but they didn't have it. Hopefully this works :) I've definitely been a bit stressed trying to pick the right stuff. Thank you for this Courtney!!

ChrissyATX: I’ve spent over 1k when I first started. But luckily for me, I saved ALL my receipts and returned 90% of EVERYTHING I PURCHASED!!! Girl, it’s crazy. From towels, to brushes, to pillow cases, to heat caps, sleep bonnets, defuser, blow dryer, scrunchies, masks, leave ins, gels, conditioners, foams, mousses, renew spray, creams, scalp treatments, hair oil, shampoos… I could go on and on! But guess what? I’ve settled with the Giovanni Silk shampoo & conditioner, Curls blueberry leave in conditioner, Uncle Funky’s daughter curl stimulator, and Kinky Curls custard. After plopping with the Perfect Towel, I will defuse with the Babyliss blow dryer and the Seabeauty curl defuser. Then once a month I will use the Kristen Ess Shampoo, the Inasi Hemp hair mask with the thermal cap. On refresh days I use Innersense Foam. This is my perfect hair playlist ➿

Claire Bonnstetter: I love the Acure Mega Moisture Shampoo! It's been my go to shampoo for years. It cleanses well, has a good amount of suds, but isn't stripping at all! I also really like the Acure Clarifying Shampoo, which I use about twice a month. And Jessicurl Too Shea conditioner is my favorite conditioner!

Melissa Mendiola: I love your videos. You’re very entertaining to watch and your videos are very informative as well. Thank you! I hope to find the right products on my curly hair journey and will try the ones you’ve mentioned in this video.

sara2382: Love the Giovanni TTTT, especially in the winter when my scalp is drier. My favorite shampoo is actually being discontinued. The weightless Fruit Fusion line from Shea Moisture is my all time favorite, and the deep conditioner is incredible. Makes my hair feel light as a feather, but also moisturized. The mousse is a favorite curl enhancer as well. I bought so many backups of everything because I'll honestly cry when I finally run out. Nothing has been better for my fine wavy hair. And my favorite gel is 100% the LA Looks sport. I have tried others and always go back to LALSG. My hair just loves it. Tried Aussie IF because it doesn't have glycerin and my hair ended up a flat frizzy mess. LA Looks 4lyfe lol

Veronica Martin: You have to try the kinky curly knot today! I even use it as a conditioner if my hair has been feeling to heavy. Melts knots away and makes my hair super soft. Lasts forever too! Only use a tiny bit. I cant live without my uncle funkys either

Sonali Somji: Love it! Could you also please do a video on your entire curl product collection?❤️

Maureen Moran: I also adore KCCC and UF. I mix them and use as a one and done. I’m high porosity and KCCC gives me a hard cast. I usually skip hard hold gels they make my hair feel gunky and gross, with the exception of JessieCurl.

KrysLeigh: I’m so excited that I found your videos because I feel like we have identical hair/curl type. I can’t wait to try the Trelux and Inahsi lines! Have you tried any of the Innersense products?

long yarn: Love Uncle Funky's Daughter's Curl Magic, it REALLY brings out my curls and doesn't take much, although my hair is short. I can't wait for my hair to get long enough to squish! I just today tried the Jessicurl curl enhancer so will have to see how that goes. I really like watered down aloe vera juice with a couple of sprays of rose water as a leave-in/refresh spritz, it's just enough conditioner and doesn't weight my hair down. (I spray rose water straight on my face as a moisturizer.) I've found that the Bioterra gel, the alcohol free one, works delightfully on my fine locks.

Justine Salter: You're the absolute sweetest! I just found your channel and am also just learning about the curly girl method. Thank you for making such informative videos!

Danelle Kriest-Reifsneider: Just wanted to drop by and let u know I just started using mop top, TreLuxe, Jessicurl and Innersence. These are my holy grail products now because of ur channel. Thank u so much for all ur videos. I always go back and watch ur videos if I have questions or have an issue with something. Ur the best!!!

Sarah Aldiab: I just found your channel and really love your videos!! Thank you for the great information you provide to us curly girls still figuring out what products to try!

Shannon Carter: Hello! I’m new to your channel. I am getting a curly cut in a few days and just trying to soak up as much info about the curly girl method as possible. Thank you for all of your videos, they are all so helpful!

Sarah Butler: Thank you for doing this video! My hair is exactly like yours and seems to react to products exactly like yours. So thank you so much for doing this video!

kate bowes: Omg I’m so excited I’m ordering quite a few of them now thank you I’m also a product junkie xxx

Shauna Ferguson: Great video and explanations to what and why you like each product! Devacurl hasn't worked for me in the past but I realized I was using their original lo poo (too hydrating) and their gels and the gels have waaaay to much glycerin in them for me (made my hair brittle). I'm trying their full delight line now (only because I can get an incredible deal on them)! I tried the frizz free foam because of your recommendations of using foams and had really good success. Great one a done for a summer no hassle hairday (since I'm in the pool every day with my kiddos!) I think I'm going to alternate with bounce curl to clarify with like every 3 washes and see what happens...dont know why I'm spilling my guts lol! Depending in results I may try some of your suggestions especially that trelux brand! Very intreging! I seriously don't want to be a product junkie....but this way of caring for my hair is sooooo different than anything I've ever known!

Shannon Johnson: I love all your videos and you have helped me so much on my curly girl journey! I was wondering if you could do a video on how you style your hair for fancy events, such as a wedding! Now that I can't use curling irons/straighteners, I'm at a loss for what to do with my hair for those types of events. Thanks Courtney!

Rachel Howard: I just have to stop you right there ✋, and say you’re rocking a fantastic hair day in this video! ...Okay, you can continue now.

Kama Kreynest: I'm still having problems getting the back of my hair to remain curly. I saw that you had Biosilk Rock Hard Gelee listed as one of your styling products. Will it provide firm hold for my curls? If not, can you recommend any other firm holding products? Thank You!

whitakermarisa: Hey!! Thanks for all your videos, first of all. I am trying to reduce wet frizz in my low density/low porosity hair and I'm thinking it might be time for a deep condition. Would you recommend the jessicurl from your video to someone with low density? I struggle with stuff that "normal" hair people use that just weighs my hair down. Currently I just use the Hair Dance Ultra Light instant conditioning as a leave it. It has protein but I don't think it's cutting it anymore. Thanks again!

Cara B: Hi Courtney! Your videos are amazing I’ve learned so much! How do I know if my hair reacts badly to protein? In your videos you mention that your hair reacts badly, and other Youtubers say the same. What happens? XOXO C

Ann4U2000: Thank you! Thank you for cutting out the music!! I can hear you clearly and am not distracted. Perfect! Also, love the new list of products I made watching....

Jen: You mentioned in a comment above that you used Bounce curls the day you made this video. Your hair looks amazing. Can you remember exactly what you used and in what order? I would love to try and recreate your look. We have extremely similar hair except mine is thin in addition to being fine. I live in Florida so humid all the time. Of your favs, are there better ones for humid weather? I’m overwhelmed with all the options.

GrandmamoeVeeneman: Your hair looks wonderful today!!

Angelika Cooper: I have 2c/3a waves and curls but haven’t really spend the time or money to bring out the full potential of my hair. I want to do that now and see where my hair goes

Autumn Rolfe: Just found this channel! Love it and you! Your approach is easy to follow and I love your energy! I'm also interested in what protein does for hair?! Why do you need it?! I'm following you for all my curly needs! Thanks!

Jackie Camilleri: Hi Courtney your hair looks like spun silk so your recipe is working for you. I am currently liking curl mix as I come to realize my hair likes flaxseed I also make my own flax gel .. Thank you for very informative videos!

Irai Rod: I had the same "Buy now! Buy everything!" experience, in part, I believe, because I was one of those people who never realized that with the right products and techniques, curls would appear (and stay) in my hair. I was so delighted by the discovery, that I threw myself down the rabbit hole of trying *eeeeeeverything* at the same time, only to realize that most curly girls have hair that needs more moisture, protein, repairing, control, and general "fussing over" than mine. I have since pared down both my routine and my products...but I'm still trying to give away bottles and bottles of gels, shampoos, mousse, conditioners...thank you for sharing your favorites. It's good to see products that work for fine hair with loose waves.

Leigh Ann Galinsky: LOL!! Great catch!! Thank you so much for the info. I'm new to this game and my head is swimming. Thanks for giving it come clarity for me.

Christiana McPherson: What do you recommend for an affordable drug store deep conditioner for after clarifying? I've been using the Lange Rehab mask but I haven't seen you review and Lange products and we have similar hair. I've heard about like the Garnier 1 minute mask but what do YOU recommend from like a Target/Walmart?

Irai Rod: My favorite product is the Jessicurl Spiralicious Styling Gel. I find that I can use different shampoos and conditioners and be happy with the results, but every time I use a different styler, I'm just not as satisfied. I'm using the "As I Am" leave-in conditioner but planning to try the Curls Blueberry Bliss next.

Jessica Bender: hi!! how does the kinky curly custard compare to the mop top custard?

LyssLovesCurls: I have been binge watching your videos! They are great and I'm excited but also nervous to start the curly hair method. I still have lots to learn. But have you tried any Curlsmith products? Or has anyone on here tried the Curlsmith brand yet? I would say I have similar hair to you. Like I said I still have lots to learn.

Megan Leander: Have you tried the Obia deep conditioner or treatment. By far my favorite so far. I find that my scalp gets irritated easily so very few products seem to make the cut. I love andalou gel ,moptop custard, giovanni mousse,i like nym curl talk conditioner as a leave in only, moogoo conditioner and max green alchemy line. Trader joes tea tree tingle conditioner as well. Ive tried soooo much just yo find these products. I do want to try innersense tho

Emma.Braford: I'm considering starting this but I'm curious how long it took you to see results once you switched. The back of my hair is really curly without me trying but the front takes a lot of coaxing so I'm a little nervous. I think my hair is a lot like yours from what you've described in your videos. I hate washing my hair daily so I'm nervous about that too because dry shampoo is my current best friend.

ella: What are your thoughts on the Shea Moisture Curly and Shine shampoo and conditioner?? I’ve just started to do the cgm and I have very similar hair to you, I got the shampoo and conditioner I listed above! (it’s sulfate, silicone, alcohol etc. free)

Sandra Hale - Independent Scentsy Consultant: I love your videos! I was wondering what you think about Monet? I just bought it and Im trying so hard to reduce my poofy frizzy hair

Grace B: Love the vid! You should try kinky curly! I would love to see what it does with your hair. And what did you use on your hair today?? It looks really good!

Robin Chadwell: Id love to see you try Viori shampoo and conditioner!!

maraphernalia: She's a 50 year old mom from Wisconsin stuck in the body of a young millennial and I love her for it

Brittany b: Have you tried the shea moisture sugarcane silicone free leave in? The reviews so far have been amazing but I'm curious as to what you would think

Irai Rod: I certainly DO remember getting oatmeal baths when I had chickenpox! Oh, and being slathered with that most attractive dusty-pink calamine lotion! Ay-ay-ay!

Selina Hopkins: Hi Courtney! Have you tried the As I Am line? I'd love to see your review

Kimberly Maxwell: If you don't know if you need protein or moisture, could you do a mask of each on either side of your head and see a big difference? If you had to pick one mask for protein and one for moisture what would those two be?

Christy Smith: I have a shopping problem too! Wish there was a site to trade products

Melissa Senter: Hi! Thank you so much for your video. I just started watching. I have very fine hair as well but unfortunately very little of it as well. I'm trying the uncle funky's daughter. My hair changes textures or something when I apply it. Almost like it soaks it up. Is that the flash drying you talk about or is that normal? If so, should I continue to use it? Thanks so much for your help!

Wild Flower: that colour shirt looks lovely on you :) thank you for all the info you've provided - sitting here with a big ol' fuzzy bush on my head (clarification was needed) starting on my journey ':D

Tee J: There are a few products you mentioned but did not list. Do you mind updating your written list? Thank you!

Kristy Campbell: Have you ever tried the LUS system? If so, what did you think?

Randi Poe: Have you tried any curl junkie products, than Reapir me? I've found that the Pattern Pusha gel mixes beautifully with Treluxe pdoducts.... the treluxe cream and the gel...

julie b: new to this journey- have shoulder length 2B high porosity (colored) low density fine hair. what type of hair do you have ? feel like i heard you say that in one of the many many videos I've watched over the last few days but now can't recall. some things weigh my hair done - but if it's not weighed down it seems so frizzy.

Karen N: My hair is weighed down by every leave-in I've tried. If I feel I need a little detangling I use a detangler spray. Could be an option for you.

D T: Thank you for sharing your products ❤️ ...also is Anyone going through that transitioning stage when the top layer of the hair is straight compared to the inner layer? And My hair is so soft but frizzy is that a sign that I need protein?

Jasmine Smith: Shea moisture is me and my daughter favorite

dipitous: Ha! My wavy-haired dad also uses the tea tree shampoo! :)

Amanda Ninivaggi: Finally purchased the curl junkie repair me. I may have cried a little lol but I can’t wait to try it. I also tried the uncle funky’s daughter and my hair loves it! All of the products you have suggested have helped my hair so much.

Charlo: I'm trying really not to become a product hoarder too and just use what I've got at the moment. I'm being good so far but it's so hard when I just wanna try everything!!

T Maxwell: Glad I found your channel. Thanks for sharing :)

Fabiola: What diffuser do you use?

Kassie’sJourneyToHealth: I find nature’s aid brand (aloe based ) works well for me and northern hemp co maybe it’s protein? I have fine hair and it gets weighed down easily

makenna J: Your hair is SO shiny

Gail Black: I tried ounce curls clarifying shampoo then curl junkie repair me then used the Denman brush to style in curls leave in conditioner and orange marmalade gel and it was a total fail. My hair is shiny but very flat and hardly no curl. Is that too much protein doing that? It never looks like this

Anum Aqsa: Just started cg method a week ago, my hair are a mess, frizzy dry, sont really know what to use and what not, gona buy all of these and see which one would work for me, i have 3b curly low porosity hair Thanx for this video

Kiekie Reg: Is there any protein in the Inashi products?

fitnessneeds: Jessicurl aloeba conditioner has coconut in it. I thought that was a protein. My hair gets brittle when I use something with coconut in it.

Arlene Janelle: when i was little, i had wavy hair but once i started using heat, my hair became STRAIGHT... so i started going natural: no heat, no dye and my waves are slowly coming back! BUT i don’t know how to take care of it? like what products can help my hair encourage its curls? SOS

MLS: Hi Courtney=) I JUST found your channel & I am on a mission to get products you've recommended TODAY!! i can't wait to see how theses work for my 2a/2b hair. I can NOT find the video that shows what you put into that spray bottle with the black top. Will you please send me a link OR just tell me what you have in there??

Lianna: I LOVE curly magic, it's my savior

Patricia THOMAS: HEEEELP! I did an olaplex treatment prior to getting my hair cut and colored. Well my first wash day after color my hair looks like straw. I think I may have too much protein now in my hair. So I am looking at all of my deep conditioners and they have mostly have some sort of protein in them which I am trying to avoid. One protein that I have noticed is wheat protein. It is far down on the ingredients list but still there. I need some advice! Please HELP!

Debbie Cooper: What about Bounce Curl? I have been wanting to try it, and just purchased based on your last video. I too like Mop Top and the Repair Me. I also just purchased and tried the Blueberry Bliss. Wow! It is amazing! Thanks for the tips!

Luisa OS.: When you’re allergic to mint so you can’t use any clarifying mint shampoos lol

april martinez: Are these products all for low porosity hair?

Janelle D: updated favorites video please!

kate bowes: Ohhh I would love you to get your husband to give all us fans a wave on video

Alyssa Hopkins: I love Shea Moisture

Yana Banana: Anyone from Canada? Half of those products are unavailable on Amazon here or shipping is the price of the product...

happier: My hair almost unmanageable. I have thick Moroccan hair that's really frizzy. Which shampoo and conditioner should I use?? I have btw 2b/2c waves.

Yoelie Rodriguez: She really sold me on these products

Elena Caccamo: OMG this is exactly why I just opened YouTube... too bad most of them probably aren’t sold in Italy. Thank you!!

steph elliott: I am just starting in the curly girl method and I believe I have 2b/2c hair........I need help or is this really that stressful to start my hair wants to curl when I use the products but after the scrunch out crunch it’s curly for the first 2 hours and then it all falls away and my bottom half is kinda wavy I’m struggling I have been doing it for 2 weeks

Brittany Puckett: Can you review the Maui moisture products for curly hair? Usually can get them at Walmart, are they a good, more affordable option for 2b/c hair?

Chelsea Pickslay: So I was considering trying Mop Top, but I’m concerned about the humectants. I live in San Diego where it’s pretty warm and dry. I’m trying to find a light shampoo and conditioner I could use on my 2b/2c/3a hair that has medium porosity and density but a hair dresser said was pretty fine and easily weighed down. Any suggestions?

IntraCardinal: I love your voice! You should try voice acting, you’d do amazing

Tara's Study: My hair is confusing it's basically beach waves. it's straight but also curly. I don't even know what my natural hair type is. Lol

qwitch: Hey girl! What exactly do you mean when you say a product gives you “grit”? Just texture and separation?

L. Cruz: Ok so does that mean you don’t use the DeCurl method and when did you stop using it? I love your hair and it’s so shiny...

jessica larrison: do you have a video of your washing habbits? like wash with shampoo then dont wash for few days or co wash and when to clarify your hair?
