My tips on how to boost your hair growth (any hair type) + how I personally used weaves (as a "transitioner") as a protective style for a year to prevent hair damage + tips on taking care of curly hair.

Hair Vitamins :

(it used to be called hair, skin, nails..but same thing i believe)

Organic Virgin Coconut Oil from Trader Joes:

Shea Moisture Curl Milk (purchased from Target):

Tips on my method of using weaves to grow out hair rules:

-curly weave helped me not use heat on my hair left out (didn't straighten hair)

-braided tracks only + net cap = protects hair

-never glue hair on your head, everrrr!

-braid all of hair (except leave out), doing tracks in between hair left out is not as protective as an almost full head weave

-do not wear weaves longer than 2 months. Trim hair every 4 months (every 2 weave changes for me)

Hair Review coming soon! The hair extensions are from princesshairshop.com

Hello, all my wonderful viewers, so you see me do makeup. You see me, do nails, but now we're gon na talk about hair. So I coming to you to talk today about hair girls, first of all and kind of like what is going on with my hair situation. I am a transitioners, so if you didn't know a transition area, that is when you go from chemically straightened hair to transitioning into your natural state hair and of course I am active American, I'm also mixed I'm CUBAN and some other things going on, but basically my Hair is curly, it's a little kinky in the back and then the more on the front, but my hair's a little bit looser in the middle of anyway I'll get into all that later. But the point is first off we're gon na talk about hair growth. So the picture that I'm going to show you is literally my hair growth from one of one year. With this picture, the first picture you'll see my hair cut into a short bob and my hair was all relaxed and chemically straightened. Then the next picture is a year later actually took that picture about. Like a couple weeks ago, I decided to it's basically just my hair and, as you can see, my hair doubled in growth, so I'm gon na show you what I did in order to get that to happen. So first products you use when helping hair growth hair vitamins. This one is actually from nature's sunshine. However, I just started trying this one, but don't use this one there's a better one. I'M gon na put the link for it below, but it's by Shen min it's for hair, skin and nails. Now we didn't make my hair grow a lot stronger. My nails did not get brittle ever you can get that in vitamin shoppe. So again, I'll put the link. Next is organic, coconut oil. So I want you guys, looking at hair price, to be very ingredient savvy literally, this just says: organic virgin, coconut oil made with coconut. You want to avoid things with alcohol and sulfates. I can really dry out the hair. The great thing about coconut oil is, you can use it in its natural state. You don't have to mix it with anything, it won't make the hair smell rancid and what it does is it protects the hair shaft and also is extremely hydrating. It'S great for it. Any hair type, no matter being curly, hair or straight hair, doesn't matter it's great for any hair type, and I got this from Trader Joe's next women. In regards to curly hair. You want to Co, wash your hair, the more curl your hair is the more hydration you meet. You need to keep your hair as hydrated as possible. This is for Trader Joe's, and this is my favorite conditioner to co wash with because it has tea tree oil. In it, so sometimes you think: ok, I'm just washing my hair with conditioner how's everything going to wash my hair well with tea tree oil. That'S a natural detoxifier, so this will actually help get that dirt and product out of your hair, but also condition it a lot and again look at the ingredients. It has no sulfates and no alcohol in it. So next we're going to talk about stylers with curly hair. Besides the whole growth thing, so I decided to in order grow my hair that I was going to use weave throughout my hair. So, as you can see, this is actually not my hair, not all of it. The top part is, but I'm going to do a review on this curly hair later, because it's freaking amazing, no tangles or anything so watch out for that anyway. So my protective styling was to have my hair braided with a weave on top, and I leave out the top of my hair now. In order to do this, I really had to make sure that I protected my hair underneath so I used a cap. There were underneath the week, so I actually talked more about that later, because I actually have a whole hair story, but the point is: when you want more defined curls, I'm going to show you what you can use. This is really really good. This is great for even if you're using it on leaves or your own hair. This is an organic natural line from actually on. Yes, it is certified organic dr.. The target Shea moistures stuff is amazing, so it has coconut in it and hibiscus and it's a curl, styling milk. It'S lightweight, it doesn't weigh down the hair, so you can still have a really nice light moisture to your hair, but this is good for natural hair and for wheat you sell anything and that's basically what I use on my hair and then also you want to Make sure that you have a spray bottle with curly hair you'll put a little bit of a conditioner in there as well, as I poured a little bit of a coconut oil. You just right on your hair right before you comb it, because you don't want to call me dry, curly, hair, and then you go ahead and put your styler on whoops. So that's, basically how you take care. Your hair really keep it healthy during that year period. I use no heat whatsoever, so that's another thing, that's why I chose to use a weave because I didn't have to touch my natural hair aside from the time, so I just want to show you guys what I use and my journey with hair and you will See lots of more hair tutorials, as well as a review on this hair, so stay tuned.

zaleemu: Micaela!! Thanks for his video! I'm a curly girl myself and I haven't perfected taking care of them yet. So please, if you're thinking of doing more curly hair videos, please do so!!!

Rocio Isabel: Very informative! And I love your makeup. Did your hair vitamins make you break out? I've tried hairfinity and it did. I'm taking phyto pills for hair and nails and it's been helping with growth but I'm running out and I'm interested in trying the vitamins you mentioned, was just curious on effects it has on skin.

simone evans: All these tips were so great! Thank you!

simone evans: I Love shea moisture curl styling milk, I've been using it for months & its soo amazing!

MsEbabii: Love your hair makeup and nails ! Your hair blends perfectly with that weave

missycrissy101: Your hair is lovely! I'm also transitioning from relaxed to natural hair. I just hope to get my hair long and healthy. Also, have you heard of Hairfinity vitamins? Do they work?

Monique: Luv this review, straight to the point...can't wait to see more.....by the way can u do a tutorial on this make up look?

kimisilv: Trader Joe's nourish spa is wonderful as well. But coconut oil seems hard to gauge. It is so easy to use too much. Thanks for the great tips! I wish I wasn't so addicted to heat ^=^

Miss_Micaela_: great question! no it doesn't. just the hair on your head. Facial hair, legs, underarms growth patterns are more so controlled by your body's hormones. The ingredients used in most hair vitamins are more herbal (no hormones) and made to strengthen the hair on your head.

superpenguin716: It might not be growing because you haven't cut it. My hair grows like crazy for the first 4 months and then the ends keep breaking off and it stops growing. Get the damage cut. Don't use heat, get some coconut oil and a wide tooth comb as well as a nice leave in conditioner and a styler (cantu has some cheap nice products). I promise you it will grow.

Naturalnewbe: Can you do a tutorial on this makeup look it is really pretty.

Angry Puff: Thank you! you are awesome! and you should post more vids JUST FOR ME ;P ahah we both have curly hair...the same color... (well mine is a deep redish purple) and same skin :D sounds perfect! anyways keep up the good work!

MsCaramelbeauty: Hey mikaela. Im mixed too with curly/wavy hair currently growing out my hair frm a short halle berry/nia long/toni braxton type cut and i was wondering if u had any suggestions as to what i should do styling-wise when my hair reaches that stage when "you cant really wear it down and its still too short to put up" phase? Any suggestions pleaseee. Thank u

Miss_Micaela_: I apply it to the scalp and the entire hair shaft. So just enough to evenly distribute into your hair. You don't need to drench it or anything.

LilNikki: When you said transitioning I was like huh? Transitioning from what to what? Your hair is already curly...Lolz happy hair journey - I couldn't transition I had to big chop. Can't wait to see more of your journey!

Mariah Williams: oh my god you're so beautiful ^.^ it's insane! and i love your hair and make up <3

Miss_Micaela_: For sure...Well I basically leave the hair braided in a cap(if you don't already use one, a net cap works well for preventing damage) under the weave for about 2 months and I haven't had much damage, if any at all. I dont do anything to my braided hair. It just get's cowashed once a week while being underneath. I also trim my natural hair (every 4 months).

Mr123Selena: Did the vitamins work for you?

missycrissy101: Only an 1/2 ??!? Was that with just one bottle? Also what brand of prenatal vitamins is the best?
