Honest Review On Shea Moisture Coconut & Hibiscus Curly Hair Products By Carolyn Marie

Hey guys and welcome back to my YouTube channel. Today, I'm bringing you a video about some hair products.. As you guys know, I have super curly hair and today it's actually curled with a wand curler, because I was having a bad hair week. I should say - and it's because of these products. ( upbeat music, ) ♪ - Who do you think you are ♪? Now I don't wan na totally bash the brand, because I know this probably might not be exactly for my hair type.. My curly hair is like thin and I have a lot of hair, but it's thin and it's not like super thick and it's not necessarily super frizzy either.. When I have a moisturizer, I guess it can't be that heavy, and I think this was probably better for a different hair type.. So this was not for me and I just kind of wanted to make a video of why it wasn't for me because I've been using the diva curl system and that's been working great for me, but that is kind of overpriced and a bit expensive. So I wanted to try to go for something that was sulfate, free and still good for my curls. That would be cheaper at the drug store and this was curly girl method approved. So I thought I would try it and it just didn't work, so I will be going back to the diva curl and I will show you a video of that.. So this is the conditioner. It'S coconut hibiscus, curl and shine conditioner, and this, I wouldn't say, is the worst product.. This is probably still good.. I would probably still use this in the shower until this was gone.. It is extra thick, so I just won't use as much. And then towards the end of the week. I wasn't, but I think it was like a combination of all these products, so I still will probably use this., And this was again the coconut, hibiscus curl and shine conditioner.. It just weighs my hair down., Like I just had really flat hair, and you can kind of see today that my hair was flat and it was flat, and almost straight so I had to go in with a curling iron, which is crazy for me to even Think., So this I would still use until the bottle's done, but maybe not actually.. I haven't tried this separately without using the other products, but I have a sneaking suspicion that this on its own would be okay.. So the next thing which I despise I do not like this one bit and it is the coconut hibiscus curling gel souffle and its with agave nectar and flax seed oil.. Now I thought this was gon na, be a gel like, as you can see, when you open it. It'S this super gelly consistency, and I thought this was gon na, like you know, make a cast on my hair and it did not.. It was just super greasy and oily and ugh. This was just not good.. Now it does say moisture., It says, moisture and curl define.. It did not define my curls at all.. It moisturized, I guess, but just like with the thick coating of oil on my hair.. So I don't know, but I guess, if you hair was super thick, you had a lot of it and it was super curly not like my curls. They are ringlets but they're not like bing Super like I don't know how to explain. It., Like my hair, doesn't lose a length when it's curly, but if you lose a lot of length from it, I think this would work out better for you, as you would be wanted to stretch out the curls.. That'S not what I'm trying to do. I'm trying to keep mine voluminous and make my curls like big. That'S what I want for my hair type, but I just wanted to be honest and give an honest review of this stuff, because if you're like me - and you have hair like me - and you go to the drug store and you're like oh, this is gon na. Be a great option: this is actually not gon na be a great option for you.. The next one was the coconut and hibiscus curl and style milk with silk protein and neem oil. I don't know what that is. This one. I liked way better than that gel thing, but still once again, super super thick formula. Definitely weighs my curls down, but at least it didn't leave like an oily cast on it.. This still like to the touch left, my curls fine, but just weighed down, so I had no volume in my hair whatsoever, which you're kind of seeing today, because I just like after using this trying this for two times, I just stopped, because this was just bleh. I did not like it at all. So that you're just kind of seeing the product of it today, but I went in with a curler. So that's why it looks halfway decent right now, because I actually curled my hair today, but it's flat on top., Like I'm. Looking for that, super bouncy, curl and yeah this this system just did not do it for me.. If you haven't - and this is the first video that you're watching of mine - you should go look at my past videos to see how my hair actually looks to get an idea like of how I want my hair.. So, overall, this whole system is a no for me and I'm definitely gon na go back to diva curl., I believe at the drug store. There is another system, but I think that was for wavy hair, so I'm gon na try that one out and see if that one's a little better and less super thick like this bottle is even heavy. You know So I'm definitely gon na try their other stuff, because I do think it's really good.. It has good ingredients in it., Let's just see like coconut oil, silk protein neem oil., Like all good ingredients, all really good stuff for your hair. It just was too heavy for me and it's unfortunate because it's a lot cheaper than diva girl products and more convenient, because I don't have to order it online., Like diva girl. I have to order online and this I wouldn't have to.. If I needed it, it would be right at the drug store. But yeah. This kind of failed me, unfortunately, as much as I wanted to give it a glowing review. But yeah., But I don't know if it's necessarily made for my hair type, even though it says thick curly hair. Whenever I see something at the drug store that says curly hair, I'm thinking my hair, because I don't know. Because it's curly - you know So yeah. If your hair's, like mine, don't try this, but I do think for other hair types. This could be amazing for you.. So definitely if you have thicker hair more, like ringlet-y hair, more coiled hair, I think this will be amazing for you actually.. I think this will be like great, where the diva curl system might not work as well for you.. You should check this out. If you do have that kind of hair type., I just don't so if you have hair like this, avoid this. It kind of made my week a little miserable. So yeah.
