Today I'm going to show you my curly hair routine when it comes to how to cut curly hair! Cutting my long curly hair at home is something that I got used because of some bad experiences with some hairstylists. I will show you my curly hairstyle and how to trim split ends....DIY style lol. So today i will be cutting my own hair. This beast definitely needs a new makeover if you're a professional hair stylist, this could get hard to watch before we get started. I just want to thank my two oldest daughters, who surprised me for my birthday with this amazing balloon arch and the girls cut out these butterflies all over the place. I have been cutting my hair for years. I used to get it professionally cut, but after some bad experiences she is a gorgeous. I decided to take matters into my own hands and take control of my own hair. Do i recommend this for you to cut your own hair? Probably not. Sometimes it doesn't go as planned, i'm hoping for the best, i'm doing some new techniques. I'Ve never tried. So i don't know exactly how well. This is gon na turn out. I'M desperate to get this controlled. We just moved from southern california to idaho, and my hair is going through some major climate shock, it's kind of trying to figure out its way, and i don't even know what to do with it anymore. So the plan is to take a little length off the bottom, maybe throw in a couple of layers and just try to freshen this up a little bit. Get it a little bit more healthy and there's a lot of split ends. We'Re going to take a lot of that out and i don't know we'll see what happens so. The items that i'm gon na be using a comb, i'm gon na be using a water sprayer, some large clamps hair cutting scissors. So first things. First, i need to get my hair washed, so let's get it washed all right! Now that my hair is washed, i'm going to be putting it up in a couple sections just to get the top layer kind of out of my way and i'm going to be working on the bottom layer. Cutting first, i'm gon na take this side and get it up out of the way i'm gon na split it, so that now i have two equal parts. I'M gon na get this one out of the way, because we're gon na do the top later. This out of my way, clamp it all right. I have the top section all put aside out of my way, i'm gon na work with the bottom layer. Once i start cutting, i get a little bit more confident, but the first cuts i'm a little nervous. So the first part down kind of like in front of my ear just right there get that see how it looks like that and i'm gon na pull it to the side. Keep my head straight: pull it down to the side and i'm gon na. Take off that first, i don't know, that's a couple inches right there, i'm gon na go on this side and get another one kind of like right behind my ear and i'm going to grab it with the section i already cut using my comb brush get my Head straight brush down - and i can see where i already cut right there from that first layer and i'm just going to cut that off, so it matches the other side. Another section right. Next to it, it's going to get a nice tight brush to the side, get that straight brush, see that hair right there follow it and cut that off, i'm going to grab another section grabbing this one put this one aside i'll. Add this one to my already cut hair right straight brush it there's my hair cut those pieces off my hair's drying. Just a little bit. Add that chunk of hair to the rest of the hair. That'S already cut bring it to the side kind of see and cut that off. So it's nice straight cut layered and cut wow. That already looks look at that. It already looks so good like that fresh cut, and then this is just like dead. I'M gon na do the same thing. I did on this side on this side, so the bottom layer is cut. It looks really good already looks nice and fresh and split ends are gone. I'M going to take the top layer and blend it with the bottom layer and i'm going to use the bottom layer as my guide as i'm cutting the top. So that's confusing. It is kind of confusing all right. So i'm going to start with the two front layers, so i'm going to grab some of the bottom that i've already cut as a guide brush it down to the side. That is the cut i did earlier, cutting that much off. I think i'm cutting too much, it looks pretty lined up at the bottom looks pretty good. They look pretty even um, so i'm going to take just a little bit off the bottom. I'Ve already taken a lot off, but i'm going to turn my head and do one more cut and i'm going to keep my head turned. I want to keep looking to the side turn my head. Go all the way to the bottom, a little bit off all that extra pieces. All right, i feel, like my hair, feels a lot better and i think i took a good amount off, so this is the only blow dryer i have for my hair. My kids use this to do: painting projects yeah - i don't blow dry, my hair, often or like ever um, but i'm doing that now because i want to show you what my hair looks like dry, i'm going to put it in this thing, this little hole right Here i'm gon na put this in i'm kind of excited to see what it looks like drive. I'M gon na get my hair wet one more time, add some products and start diffusing. It'S ready now to diffuse i'm gon na. Do the hover method and just kind of like um hover over my hair and not touch it and then after it's like 50 dry i'll, go over and start crunch scrunching it up. Here we go wow wow. Oh, it feels so light. I like it. I really do it feels amazing. I haven't had it this short for a while, but it's not that short. If you think about it like i can pull it down, i can still pull it like pretty far down like look how long that is. That'S still pretty long, it just seems short because it just bounces right up so many layers in it like they just keep going higher up. Now i can get back to getting my hair, healthy and figuring out what my hair needs in a drier climate. So i might have to keep it. I don't know, i don't know i'll figure it out. I am going to be doing a update hair tutorial on how i do my hair routine. Actually me and my oldest daughter are going to show how we do our hair routine coming up, come see it my battery's about to say see if one, what do you think looks very good, it's not too short, either right, okay, it looks a little short. Well. Look how long it is yeah. It'S super long still, yeah yeah! I think it looks great you like it yeah all right. That'S pretty amazing that you can cut your own hair. I wouldn't do that. Well, it's curly, so i don't think you can see like too many of the mess-ups um and he's about to die. I know it's about to die all right, hey! You guys, wish savannah happy birthday down in the comments, because she is the big 34 right now. Wow, you didn't have to tell them that yeah go get gyra real, quick, the battery's not going to last no just run gidget real quick. That looks so good. It'S almost like, as short as your hair wait come sit next to me on this side. Wait come here. Come here, stay closer okay, so i just cut jars there. Her hair was like in a um a bun, so yeah it's good, but her hair is like i. I got it like open to short his sword.

So i have curly hair and with dry climates i recomend you: -avoid styling products with humectants, it will make it look worst. -hidrate, hidrate and hidrate with deep conditioners -use protein treatment two days in a month -use hair serums (cosmetic oils) to nourish it and tame frizz.

My wavy-curly hair gets super thick when it's humid out....grrrrrr to the frizz...Lol! I started using what's called a lo-poo approach (not using shampoo but using conditioner to wash my hair) and that really helped. The best I've found is super cheap and works great...Coconut Suave Conditioner...plus it smells fantastic! Birthday Blessings!
