►Hair Color:
This a custom color job, created by a stylist at a salon, using a professional system not available in beauty supply stores and which requires a valid cosmetology license to purchase--no I do not know the name. It cannot be recreated precisely and the shade looks different on me every time she touches it up since she blends it up on the spot and it changes shades every time I wash my hair. We have been lifting my hair lighter and lighter over time using developer (which is not bleach) since October of 2015. I will not post a video on how to color because I am not a licensed cosmetologist and I will not give directions on how to use chemicals that I do not have a good understanding of. If you'd like help with achieving this color, please consult a LICENSED professional who specializes in natural hair because coloring will alter your hair and can damage depending on your texture and the process.

Hey y'all, so if you don't know now, you know that I recently changed my hair, color and blues and other fashion colors, like greens and purples, etc. They are known to face super super fast, so I'm gon na show you guys what I'll be using to protect. My hair color, oh and it's my birthday week, so I also have a special surprise so make sure you guys watch the entire video. So you don't miss out on that I'll, be using the firm Kara's color stations by a blonde who are also behind some of our favorite brands, like as I am and kare-kare. The collection consists of a color retention, shampoo, conditioner mask and an anti fade sealant. There'S soda an 8 ounce bottles for us, regular folk and for professionals. If you guys decide that these products are good for you, so let's get started first up I'll be using the color retention. Shampoo is formulated with shikaka, retha and keratin. This is perfect for post coloring, because coloring does damage hair. You guys are gon na. Hear me say that a lot in this video, because I'm upfront about it, it also alters your ph levels and porosity. This shampoo is pH balancing and it has keratin in it which strengthens hair. It'S also a moisturizing shampoo, so heads up after coloring never use a clarifying shampoo or any other shampoo that strips moisture, because it's gon na strip out your color and you might leave your hair feeling fried and break off next I'll, be going through with the color Retention mass, which is rich in moisture, it has ingredients like flaxseed and coconut oil and the shukaku and it locks in moisture with the shea butter in it. It also has keratin too, because again, my hair was just colored and it needs all the protein. You can get, however, I don't want to use a protein treatment right after coloring, because I want to focus only storing my moisture in pH. First then I'll go through and drop protein on it. My next wash date is strengthen it back up, so I left it on for 30 minutes and I'm gon na rinse it in lukewarm water, it's very, very important to stay away from hot water after you just colored. Your hair, like your color, is gon na bleed. Naturally, clearly mine is but y'all can see. My hair is still holding on to the blue if you run hot water over your hair after coloring you're, basically gon na go ahead and fade that color right on out period. So I went ahead and rinse my hair in the lukewarm water and, as you guys can see, my color is still rich and vibrant, so I'm gon na go ahead now and use the anti fade sealant to further lock in that moisture and the color. This is made with flexi extract and it's going to provide a layer of protection to keep my color looking fresh and that's pretty much it y'all y'all know I keep my routine simple and down to a minimum as far as it comes the products. So next up, I'm gon na move on to moisturizing and styling. Like I said, my hair is temporarily high porosity. So, instead of doing my regular layering for low porosity, which is my leaving cream, then oil - I'm gon na, go now and do leaving a light oil cream and then later on, when I'm separating I'm gon na use another oil. So I'm going from L co to L o Co, so I know that my hair switches from low porosity to high porosity, because when I moisturize and apply products and water, it behaves completely different after I color it. Normally, it takes a while for my hair to saturate, because the low porosity the cuticles are tightly shut and it's hard for it to absorb moisture after coloring. My hair just stops up all the water all the moisture. However, it dries out quick and that's high porosity and when I recognize that, that's why I go ahead and switch my product layering around to make sure that I'm properly moisturizing and sealing in that moisture so that my hair will not get dry and break off. So yeah I used a leave-in, a light oil cream and then I'm gon na use another oil later. So at this point, I'm just going through and styling my hair and I'm gon na show you our results, because I know y'all like dang. Her color is bleeding, but this is perfectly normal after a fresh, color you're fine, if this is your first time, coloring do not freak out. It'S perfectly normal if you start seeing the color of your hair not slip stuff on top of your hair, but the actual color of your hair. Changing then you might have a problem, but, as you guys can see, my hair is still staying, dark all right.
