Aveda How-To | Curly Hair Wash And Go Tutorial With Ada Rojas

Aveda has a huge range of products that serve multiple hair types.. As you can see, I have a naturally curly hair.. I would say that my curl type falls anywhere from 3a to 3c.. I have a mixture of different curl patterns that fall within that spectrum. From the back of my head to the front of my head. In this video, I will be styling my hair and showing you all how I achieve my go-to look, which is called a wash-and-go.. I'M going to be using products from Aveda's Be Curly line, as well as some other products that I really enjoy from their hair care line.. So if you would like to know how you can achieve curls that are beautiful, defined, soft and shiny, then keep on watching this video. To begin, I wash my hair using the Be Curly shampoo and conditioner. The shampoo gently cleanses your waves or curls, and defines them While taming frizz and increasing shine. And the conditioner softens, adds definition and adds shine to your hair., I'm obsessed with the refreshing citrus `` pure-fume ,'' as they call it scent.. It has lemon bergamot, orange and other pure flower and plant essentials.. It just smells so good and so refreshing and feels like you just got your hair washed at the salon. [ MUSIC PLAYING ] To combat frizz. I started with a pre-style treatment and that is the Be Curly Style-Prep.. It creates the perfect foundation for curly hair styles.. It detangles moisturizers and defines the curl. And it seals the cuticle taming frizz all day.. I also love that this product has the same exact fragrance that I love from the rest of the Be Curly line.. My usual wash and-go routine, typically consists of a leave-in followed by a gel., So today I'm going to be using the Be Curly Curl Enhancer.. This will intensify your curls tame frizz and increase shine.. It has a wheat protein blend that expands when your hair is wet. Then retracts, when the hair is dry to help in locking curls or waves, and also features that same scent that I love. [, MUSIC PLAYING ]. To finish my wash-and-go, I'm going to add the Flax Seed, Aloe Strong, Hold Sculpting Gel.. It'S a strong-hold gel that offers maximum control for sculpting and molding the hair. It's made with certified organic flax seed and aloe and adds body and enhances shine.. Now this gel is a little intimidating due to the liquid-like consistency of it, but I promise you. It is amazing., This was my favorite product in the entire collection, and this is definitely a gel that I foresee myself using a lot in the future.. It is just perfection.. I love it. [ MUSIC PLAYING ] Because the front section of my hair tends to be the driest. I will typically apply extra product to the front of my hair. And for the maximum curl definition --. Here'S my little secret --. I actually take a brush and I brush my hair. And that clumps the curls together and then I scrunch the hair, and that is it.. That'S my little secret for the perfect curls., A great way to tell whether you have applied enough product or not is to scrunch your hair and if it makes a squishy sound. That means you've applied just the right amount of product.. If it's not making that sound, you probably need to add more product.. So after you're done applying everything to your hair you're going to take a microfiber towel and you're going to squeeze out the excess water from the hair and then you're going to go in with the secret weapon.. I was first introduced to this product by my friend. [, INAUDIBLE ]. She swears by this stuff.. This is amazing for volume. This is the Volumizing Tonic.. It creates maximum volume on fine and medium hair and builds up body and shine.. This is going to give you lift at the root and weightless volume., Whether you have fine medium hair, thick hair. It doesn't matter. If you love volume, you're going to love this product. You're going to want to spray this on your roots. While your hair is damp and then you can go ahead and air dry, it or diffuse. [, INAUDIBLE ], actually loves to use this when her hair is already dry and sprays it at the roots. Regardless. This is an amazing product.. You are going to love it., [, MUSIC PLAYING ] For the absolute best results. I like to diffuse my hair when it's about 40 % dry.. So in the meantime I go ahead and do my makeup. While I wait for my hair to dry and then I go ahead and diffuse for the maximum volume and definition., Do you see what I see: Moisturized curls and no frizz lots of definition and shine? But of course we can't stop there.. We want more volume.. So I usually take a hair pick and I pick my hair gently at the root to perfect my wash-and-go. [, MUSIC PLAYING ], And that is it..
