This how-to video is a suggested haircare routine for hair types 3 & 4. Please note that we are using. I love natural hairs, hair typing system which may differ from other hair typing systems out there for more information on hair types. Please see the hair typing page on the I love natural hair website to start with you're going to need a shampoo of your choice, a rinse out conditioner, a leave-in conditioner of your choice for this how-to video, we're going to use our own leave-in that we made Earlier, if you'd like to know how to make your own leave-in conditioner, please wait for the instructions at the ends of the how-to video you're, also going to need hair, clamps extra virgin olive oil, a tangle teezer. If you don't have one of those a wide tooth, comb will also do. We have also included a shampoo shield, as our assistant in the video is young and doesn't do well with soap suds in her eyes. So here is our assistant. She has type 3b hair, but, as said before, hair types 3, 8 & 4 may also find this regimen useful first rinse, the hair with warm water. Then shampoo, your hair. It is recommended that you do not pile your hair on top of your head, while washing as this can cause unnecessary, tangling and breakage. It'S okay, to give your scalp and massage, whilst washing your hair, but pay attention to using the pads of your fingers. And not your nails as this can cause damage to your scalp after thoroughly rinsing your hair. Add your rinse out conditioner, once you've added the conditioner it's time to detangle, we suggest sectioning the hair into four parts with your fingers, then taking section by section detangle. First with your fingers and then with the wide toothed comb or tangle teezer, we suggest using your fingers first to detangle, because your fingers can feel knots a lot better than a comb can. So when you come across any knots rather than ripping through them with a comb and causing unnecessary breakage, you can pull them apart. Gently with your fingers once you're happy that your hair is tangle, free proceed with your comb or tangle teezer to comb the conditioner through the hair. Once you have detangled each section clamp it's out of the way and start on the next section for this how-to video. We will leave the conditioner in for five to ten minutes and then rinse out. However, please read the instructions on the back of the products you use first and follow them carefully. Now it's time to rinse after rinsing the conditioner out, squeeze out any excess water and add a liberal amount of your leaving conditioner whilst wet for our assistants. Here we like to add extra virgin olive oil first, but this is optional. You can just add your leave-in conditioner and pin your hair up and out of the way once your hair is out of the way you can get dressed once you've added your leave-in conditioner. You are ready to style and go once hit, though, if you're planning to have your hair out as opposed to in a ponytail or plaited, try not to disturb your curls too much by touching it as it creates frizz. However, as it's our sisters bedtime, we will be following a slightly different regimen. After adding olive oil, we then add the leave-in conditioner, then using either your fingers or a comb part the hair and braids. You can do two braids or four or as many as you like, you may just want to do one braid. It'S your choice. Do what works for you if you cannot braid check out YouTube for tutorials. Youtube is great like that after platting allow the hair to air dry and voila you're ready for bid, you are going to need a wide toothed comb or tangle teezer, a spray bottle with water in it and a leaving conditioner of your choice. You can either make your own or look at the range of products that we have on. I love natural hair calm. This is our assistance hair the next day loops out the Platts first. At this point, you can star the hair and go but remember to moisturize your hair with water and add your leave-in conditioner at the ends of the day before bed. To do that, you can either rinse your hair with water. In the shower, add in your leaving conditioner whilst wet the olive oil is optional. Of course, all you can spritz the hair with water using your water bottle and then add your leaving. We have decided to do the moisturizing now, so we don't have to worry about it later. We'Re spritzing the hair with water first, but you can also just rinse it in the shower. If you want to, we then add the leave-in, conditioner and style, because we have already moisturized the hair. Now we don't have to worry about it tonight before beds unless the hair is really dry and needs water, always remember. After adding water to the hair, you always need to add a sealant to the hair to stop it from drying out that sealant. As I said before will be your leaving conditioner. This can be your choice of oil dorso or both because our sisters, hair is already moisturized tonight before bed. We will just separate the hair with our fingers whilst dry and platter is shown before and start the routine again tomorrow until wash day to make believe in. You will need a leaving conditioner of your choice. Please check out. I love natural hairs web shop for a conditioner of your choice: aloe vera juice, castor oil yo-yo, but oil and an empty container to make it. You need to add 2 tablespoons of your leaving conditioner to your container 2 tablespoons of aloe vera juice, 2. Teaspoons of castor oil and 2 teaspoons of your yobel oil mix it well until creamy then store in the refrigerator. The pH balance of this product should be between 4 and 5. Point 5, however, feel free to test it using pH balance test strips. Thank you for watching

hairevangelist: Hi MysTaria87, Thank you for checking out our site. We hope that you found it useful. Our hair-typing system slightly differs from other hairtyping systems out there. This is our version and understanding of the different curl types. However don't become too fixed on this system. What is most important, is that you undrstand that your hair is unique to you and you determine what works and what doesnt for your hair. I hope that helps.

MysTaria87: Hi, I just visited your site today for the first time and was wondering if there was a reason why type 3c isn't listed on there? It goes from 3b to 4a.

hairevangelist: Hi MysTaria87, This is our version of the hair-typing system. We are not excluding any particular hair type. You just have to find the closest curl pattern using our pictures to your hair. Remember hair typing shouldnt be the main focus. It's there to give those who know nothing about their hair some direction. Whats most important is working out using the information we have provided, how your particular hair works and what it likes and reacts to from what it doesnt.

Linda Muldrow: Beautiful assistant and such a helpful video. My daughter is 3 and now her hair is getting long enough to style and maintain. I see at the end of the video she threw a bow in her hair and was finished. Is this how to do the hair for when you just want to leave it down, or will it dry back out and start to frizz? Right now I am trying to figure out the down look, and I think my mistake was not using a leave in conditioner. Also, when I put my daughters hair in pigtails what do you use to tame down the fly aways to give it a neater finish. I def. need to buy some of your products!!

GdlookincookinwKaye: Thank you, VERY helpful :)
