Hey guys, it has been a long time coming, but I'm finally doing an updated, curly hair routine. Many of you have been requesting this recently. I'Ve been sharing a lot on my Instagram story. So if you want to keep up with me on there, I do share what I'm trying out new products and trying new techniques and stuff. But this is going to be just my normal weekend wash day routine and I say weekend because that's usually what I like to do: a deep conditioning treatment. I'Ve done whole video recently on my full, deep conditioning routine when I just go all out and really do lots of different treatments to my hair, to help it and then midweek, usually on Wednesday. I do a quick wash days on Wednesday. Obviously I don't deep conditioned. I just do my normal, like shampoo, conditioner and style, so I usually wash my hair two times a week, so this routine is focused on a lot of definition, really shrinking up my curls and then also combating frizz. I have a lot of frizz, especially in this area, have a lot of breakage still I've been trying to do lots of different things to help prevent the breakage and stuff. Maybe I'll do a full video on that, but just over time like I've gotten a lot of it, and I do have some split in so if you were transitioning your hair right now from like straightening all the time to wearing your natural curls. This is going to be perfect for you, because I focus a lot. I'M really hydrating the curls and help give them life and shrink them back up. So let's go ahead and get started. I'M first gon na start out in the shower, and I'm going to shampoo and condition my hair, I'm actually going to be using my favorite diva curl buildup Buster this time, because I really want to get a deep, clean and remove any build-up. I'M also going to use the melt into moisture deep conditioner, I'm also just sharing the no poo decadence and one condition decadence, because that's what I would typically use on a regular wash day. But on the weekend I like to do a little bit more of a deep conditioning treatment. While I'm deep conditioning I like to wear my hot Headz, a thermal hair cap. This just helps open up the hair shaft with the heat, so the deep conditioner can get into your hair more. I have a review of this I'll put it down below. Then I rinsed out my hair with cold water and now I'm just going to scrunch it using it the ultimate hair towel, which is from hair repair. This is the perfect hair tile because it's really absorbent and it while you're here or causing more frizz, because it doesn't have any little fibers in it like a regular towel. This is perfect. One of the biggest tips for anyone with curly hair is to use one of these. I like to leave my hair pretty wet. When I apply my hair products, that's just really going to help with frizz and just help. My hair have a little bit more hold. First product I like to use is the Brio Gio race car. This is a blow dry perfection cream. This is basically a heat protectant. I just apply it to mostly the ends of my hair and I do take it up a little bit since I have some layers in there, but I tend to get split ends pretty bad, even with just using the lowest heat setting and the lowest airflow setting On my diffuser, I think it's just because I have pretty fine hair, that's pretty prone to breakage, so I'm just making sure I use that he protect him first, so it really gets into my hair and help protect from those split ends. Now I'm gon na be using the diva curl be leavin. This is my favorite diva curl product. By far or one of my favorites. I really like it because it helps clump up my curls, so I get a little bit more definition and stuff and just helps gather them together. So I could have a little bit more defined curls. I guess it's an interesting product. It helps a little bit with frizz too next step is probably the most important product. This is the Amika curl corpse defining cream. This is a curl cream and I just like to apply it quite a generous amount to this. I'Ve been using the praying hands method where you kind of just swish it on to your hair. You kind of clamp your hands together and run it down to the ends, and this just helps kind of mash. The frig down just help smooth over your hair and then I just kind of scrunch it on the ends and it just helps make sure it's pretty evenly distributed and just kind of showing you up close of how I like to smooth that over and then scrunch. It I don't totally run my fingers through my hair, like from the root, mostly just at the end. I just kind of you know smooth over the roots and then I kind of run my fingers through the ends and then scrunch about this just gives me the most volume this way and the least amount of frizz and just helps kind of evenly distribute the product. Another thing you want to make sure you have enough water in your hair to where you're hearing that kind of scrunchie spongy sound when you scrunch up your hair, that's just gon na help more definition and help really control the frizz a lot more. If your hair is pretty soaking wet when you're applying the product, it doesn't have to be dripping or anything but a decent amount of water in there to where it's kind of you know it makes that noise when you scrunch it up. You know that's enough water. So this is optional, but I'm just applying a little bit more focused on areas that I noted to get pretty frizzy. That'S usually the highlighted areas for me, because there are a little bit more damaged since I do have some highlights on those front pieces. So I just applied a little bit of extra there because they always need extra moisture. Now I'm just flipping my hair over and scrunching upside down to help really start to shrink up those curls, and you want to make sure you do have product on your hands when you're starting to scrunch. That way, you don't cause a more frizz. It helps if your hands are a little bit wet and have that product on there. Now, if there's some areas that you know have a hard time curling up in that second, for me, those highlighted areas I just kind of focus on those to scrunch a little bit more now almost the last product. I promise I love using the bounce curl light cream gel just as a finishing the gel overtop. I don't apply quite as much of this, but I mostly focus this on the areas where I always get frizz. It adds a lot more hold, because I find that just the cream alone doesn't give me enough hold that I need, especially in the summertime, with a lot of humidity. I definitely need this extra step. I love personally using like a crow cream and then a gel. This one is actually both mixed in, but it does have a lot of hold on it with being a cream gel. So I like using this on top now, I'm just gon na plop, my hair for about 20 to 30 minutes using the hair repair towel. I have a video on how I actually plot my hair. I will link it for you down below so now that my hair is air dried in this for about a half an hour, I'm gon na take it down and you can see it's still pretty wet, which is about what we want for actually blow-drying it. We still wanted to be damp, but not soaking wet. Now, I'm gon na be using my ears. This would be on exposure and I just got this brand new at diffuser it's from crock. I think I got it on Amazon, I'll link it for you. In my Amazon store, but this diffuser has been amazing. I used to love the bio ionic one, but that one actually kind of went out on me because it started to crack from where I was forcing it in over the blow-dryer. But this one I found a way to kind of rig it up and get it to stay on, so it actually stays on for me. So I'll link it for you, I've been loving it. It helps reduce breakage because it doesn't have metal on it. Like the Bionic one did, which I think led to a lot of my split into this one is just plastic, so I don't think it's quite as damaging when it heats up to your hair. I like to just flip my hair over when I'm defusing and I start from the ends and work my way up, and then I always flip it back over and just kind of go back and forth between blow drying upside down and right-side up and just kind Of cut my hair and pushing it all the way up to the roots to help blow-dry it I forgot to mention with the onyx blow dryer I like, to put it all the way on the lowest setting. This is the lowest heat and lowest airflow, which is the perfect amount of airflow. I do like to switch it from cold to hot, because this blow dryer personally gets too hot. For me, I don't like it to get too hot on my roots and on my ends and stuff, so I just kind of switch back between the two. So after I finish off with that cold setting, I'm just gon na apply a little bit more of the bounce curl like cream gel, and I'm just going to apply this on areas that got a little bit frizzy during blow-dry. You can totally skip this if your hair comes out perfectly after diffusing, but I always have some frizzy area. If it's areas I missed for product before or what are just areas that are having a hard time, curling up or didn't, get really in the diffuser. Very good to really shrink up, which is always this area, so I'm just kind of focusing some more product on those and just kind of finger twirling, some of those curls if any of them are still not cooperating to where they're not really shrinking up and forming A curl, sometimes I will go back over them with the diffuser that way they can really it shrink up, since the hair is a little bit wet with adding some extra product and that just really helps give it a lot more hold, and you add some more Product and then go back home with the blow dryer, it just helps seal it in and you get a lot more hold and definition with some of those problem areas. So this is how it looks when it's about 95 % dry, I'm just gon na - add a little bit of the bounce curl alcohol-free hairspray. This is my favorite hairspray of every use for curly hair, because alcohol-free doesn't dry out. My hair doesn't leave it to crunchy, but applies just the right amount of hold. This has been my go-to product in the hot humid summer weather. This is the only thing that actually holds my hair all day. It'S definitely been a miracle worker. I used it when I was in New Orleans for the first time, and that was just a game changer and that humidity down there so definitely makes a huge difference. It'S just a finishing spray and it will keep your head corals intact till the next day to where you don't even have to do a whole lot of refreshing the next day. It'S amazing! So that's it for this updated, curly, hair routine. I hope you guys enjoyed it and definitely leave me your product suggestions in the comments down below if you'd like for me to review them. I would love to do a drugstore version of this, so please leave me your drugstore recommendations, because I'm really bad when it comes to drugstore hair products. It'S hard for me to find good ones, and I've had a hard time finding ones that I truly love and could possibly replace some of my favorite higher-end one. So I love to hear your suggestions. If you have a hair type similar to mine. Definitely let me know so: I'm going to put all of these products that I mentioned linked on the blog post. It goes at this video. I will do my best to find them for you, the cheapest, that I can, and so that will be linked in the description box, that down below, as well as links, select the hair tools and stuff that I mentioned. Also, let me know if you want me to do a next, a hair routine, just showing you how i refresh my curls and any other routines like for deep conditioning stuff I'll link those down below if I've already filmed them. Recently, though, that's it for today's video and don't forget to subscribe to my channel and turn on those post notifications. So you don't miss why I post a new video if you haven't already and thank y'all so much for watching bye, everyone

Gena Marie: WE HAVE A GIVEAWAY WINNER FROM LAST WEEK! Congrats to Tina Cross for winning some elf skincare over on my FB page: https://www.facebook.com/GlamMeUp8/photos/a.1042116219183944.1073741826.403096563085916/1931809350214622/?type=3 Stay tuned for my next video that will have another giveaway!

BriAnna Nicole: Your curls are beautiful! I have natural wavy hair and it can get pretty frizzy. I do straighten my hair every time I go out but I also leave my hair natural quite a bit when I just stay home. Thanks for this helpful video!

lifeaswecallit: I use the Living Proof Anti-Humidity spray as the last step instead of regular hair spray and that helps a lot with frizz. That towel has been a game changer... thank you!

Melissa Navarro: I’ll have to try out that build up stuff from devacurl. My curls need a refresh. Thank you for making this video, so helpful and love your channel.

Sophia: I have fine 3b/3c heat damaged hair! Transitioning for almost 3 months now. I have been considering olaplex 3 but the price omggg. Instead I purchased Shea moisture yucca & plantain masque and omg.. It works 3x better with 1 use compared to my Hairfinity amino masque. I sit under a hooded dryer for 30 minutes every week when I deep condition. Switching between moisture masques and reparative protein masques definitely help. You should show your wash n go routine for colder climates. I live in Canada soo.. Also try applying product on super wet hair if you like a clumped & super defined look. Not saying your hair isn't obviously!

Jonathan & Rylee: Loved your video!! Your hair is beautiful, our hair texture is super similar! I recently posted a natural curly hair routine if you want to check it out! :) I just liked and subscribed and I can't wait for more of your content! Keep up the good work!

Angela Sasaki: I would do anything for your curls! So beautiful!

Tana Chacon: Please do a updated refresh video. That is my biggest struggle.

Yola Yola: It’s not Roscaro, it’s Rosarco. “And stuff” like Gena always says

More of Alina: Your curls are so pretty

Flor Delgado: Diva curl? This must be old.
