Family, I should grow African export. Welcome to the realist channel on YT today is going to be a product review. The product review is for Laila Ali. You guys the name doesn't just sound familiar just because know it's little Ali Muhammad Ali's daughter and yeah. I was really excited when I was contacted to do a review of her product line. The public relations company that she works with sent me a wonderful media kit went over a lot of Leila's accomplishments things that she's doing right now with her haircare line. She was excited to bring the product to you guys now I wasn't paid to do this. They just sent me some product, many are for hair and then there was also some skincare items as well. So I was sent. This is the packaging. Okay, your shampoo and conditioner. It comes in a 12 and a half fluid ounce bottle intensive hydrating shampoo, the conditioner you get nine and a half fluid ounces. Okay and the conditioner contains shea butter and marula seed oil. That'S supposed to help with moisturizing the hair. So let me start off with these two items. The shampoo and conditioner was very nice. I does have an interesting smell. I will go ahead and say that in the bottle it smelled a little - I don't know, but it actually does have a really pleasant scent kind of in that earthy kind of category. I'M not talking about 100 % natural go green smell, but it has a natural scent to it, and I actually like the shampoo and conditioner it did not feel stripping. The conditioner was very, very thick and creamy. Let me show you the consistency of the conditioner and it says, leave it on for two minutes. Okay, let me just show you, I love the texture or the consistency of the conditioner, I think with the shea butter. That'S in it. It reminds me of a very creamy moisturizer and see even on my skin here. Let me put it on the brown part, even on my skin. If I was to put a nice oily, almost butter, that's kind of how it feels like a body butter. So it feels really really good on the hair, especially if you have kinky coarse hair, like myself, was very pleased with the shampoo in the conditioner. Now they sent me to styling products. This is the smoothing conditioning hair drip, and this is the curl define gel the curl define gel is basically a glycerin rich styling gel the texture reminds me a lot of kinky curly as far as how slippery it is. You see that it's very liquidy, but because of the slippery mess of this product, it does give a really really nice definition really no hold with the prop. So next there is the the conditioning hair dress. The conditioning hair dress is basically a jar of silicones. It says it's for smoothing and conditioning: oh this particular product. I did not really care, for it felt very kind of sticky which can happen when you have something high in glycerin. Also there is stickiness that is found in the shine gel as well. Now the other items that were sent to me for review. Interestingly enough, I was unable to review the products specifically the skin care, as well as one of the hair care items that they also sent me a medium strength, relaxer the skin care. I will show you the skin care line which these products will be giving away on my facebook fanpage so going over there. If you think you are interested - and I will be having a giveaway for these items as well excited to see you know moisturizer with the SPF in it - and I was really you know gung-ho to use it. However, it does say it's formulated with skin whitening for age spot, reducing and power, antioxidant ingredient intensive hydrating body lotion, which is a 12.5 fluid ounce. This also contain hydroxy acid, that imparts in exfoliating cell renewing activity while brightening the appearance of skin. Also, I don't use products that that do that, okay and then also also the age defying cream items. I will have available for giveaway look out for that. So hopefully, this review was helpful for some of you guys that her items can be found in JC Penney's I'll list, some of the places that you can also find her products. They are reasonably priced anywhere between kinda that ten fifteen dollar range me personally. I would not purchase these products. They are not best suited, in my opinion, for my hair, but I do think that there are a lot of good uses for the products depending on your styling needs. Your hair texture, you know, if moisture, is something that you're looking for so anyway keep those things in mind. Hopefully you guys enjoyed this review. RJ: I tried the shampoo and conditioner last night, AMAZING product! Haven't seen much reviews on Youtube about her products, but my hair was so soft and moisturized just after the first use. Great for both relaxed and natural ladies. IT'S MUST HAVE!

virtuous CEOlady: I'm glad you did a review on this. I saw it in Walmart yesterday and was trying to figure out when Laila Ali got into this industry, lol. Thanks so much for your honesty AE, you had me laughing when you mentioned that you'd be giving away the stuff you didn't want, lol. Her skin and body products sound like they are more for evening a person's skin tone, but it would be better to spot treat the hyperpigmentation rather than use it everywhere. We produce way too much melanin for that to work!

BrownBombshellBeauty: Just wanted to comment on the lightening discussion. The SPF and body lotion here are not capable of lightening skin. Hydroquinone is the only ingredient proven and approved by the FDA to whiten/lighten skin, and these don't contain it. So they can't lighten skin - no matter what Laila Ali and her PR people claim! LOL! Many brands market natural, "innovative" ingredients like plant extracts and fruit acids, but all these ingredients can do is improve dullness, which isn't a bad thing! :)

Maisha Rush: It seems like she just threw her name on some chemicals. I used one of her products......its still under my cabinet. It did define curls BUT it also broke my hair off after one use. The ingredients in them (I learned later) are what naturals should run away from. Smh. She should read the science of black hair and try again. Lol

AFRICANEXPORT: @sweeteababy0427 " It contains a "new" skin brightening agent found to visibly and significantly reduce epidermal pigmentation". I don't think her products are made to make everyone light skinned. Don't think I implied that. But I wont and don't use products like this, or Ambi or any other "fade" cream. Unless you are spot treating, can you remove discoloration without changing the integrity of the entire skin complexion. The moisturizer clearly states that its formulated with skin whitening

ARK Invest [Live]: Brightening doesn't mean lightening or whitening. It just means it exfoliates to skin to remove the dull look appearance. So based on what the body lotion said its just about not having dull skin. I think the face lotion is about removing spots and discoloration so thats why it has lightening properties. I don't think her products are trying to make everyone light skin lol
