Hey guys, so today's video is going to be a review and a first well, it's a first impressions on a new product that i actually got dmd about a bunch of times. A lot of you guys were asking me to try out this bad boy, which i don't even know if it's brand new or what, but i recently got a ton of dms about it. This is the babyliss pro cryrocare, the cold brush cryrotherapy for hair. Am i saying that right, cryo, oh cryo, cryotherapy cryo, i mean i've already used it. I'Ve already tried it. I'M done getting ready for the day. So i already have my opinion. However, when i first saw this on ulta, when you guys were dming me like hey, have you seen that brush that's supposed to give you shiny, beautiful, amazing hair with like freezing cold temperatures, and i was like what that sounds really really interesting. So i looked up the product it is currently available at ulta and the second i saw it. I knew i had to buy it and try it out for you guys, because i've never seen anything like this and i'm not gon na lie. When i first tried this out, because i haven't looked up any review or any video on it, i wanted to go into this unbiased. I didn't want someone else's opinion on the product to like sway mine subconsciously, so i didn't watch any videos didn't read the reviews. So i was a little bit confused when i started reading about it, because i thought it was going to straighten my hair a little bit while adding shine and hydration and all of that. But that's not what this is. This is just a brush. That'S going to like repair the hair, give it moisture, add shine and do all of that with the freezing temperature with the cryo care technology. So, basically, if you have no idea what this is, it's a revolutionary, state-of-the-art, styling tool that applies cryotherapy benefits to the hair heat can extract moisture from the hair cryo care. The cold brush adds moisture back in hydrating the hair, improving the look and condition reaching below freezing cold temperatures below freezing cold temperatures. That sounds outrageous. Doesn'T it the cold brush transfers, moisture from the air into the hair shaft aligning each strand revitalizing the hair, making it softer smoother and shinier, and it says your hair will look and feel amazingly healthy. What do you guys think i guess you're gon na have to watch this first impression to find out what i think, but what's really interesting about this product and the main reason why i bought it is it has so many cool benefits. Besides everything, i said, it also controls frizz. It has lasting results. It'S supposed to give you like good results over time. It has nano titanium technology, whatever that is, it can be used on wet or dry, hair and yeah. It just sounds, it sounds really cool. I mean i've been in the beauty world a long time and i've seen a lot of hot brushes, but i have never seen a cold brush, so i just had to pick it up. It goes down to 32 degrees fahrenheit, and it comes with this really cool travel bag. Like you know, if you you want to travel with it, you just throw it in here and, oh my god. It keeps turning on by itself long story. You'Ll see you'll see, but anyway, i think that's all i have to say about the brush before i jump into the demo, so yeah uh, let's get into this all right - got ta plug it in operating instructions. Press the on button, okay, wow, just like turns on with like one little push. Okay, you have to hold it down to turn it off. Let'S turn it on. It'S just one little touch, you will quietly hear the two brushless motors and you will notice the cold plate become very cold. Oh, oh, my god yeah! This is very cold like super cold. That feels like ice, so there's directions for wet hair and there's directions for dry hair. I have something in the middle once hair is towel. Dried done, pass the cold brush through your hair, as you would a regular brush two to four passes per section. This will help detangle wet and make hair more manageable, there's less tension, less breakage and you'll be amazed at the quality and ease of each blowout. Okay - let's see you know, i am very oh. I don't know why i did that that didn't hurt me. Let'S see, i feel like my hair is getting frizzy like the static, like, i feel the hairs getting staticky. Are you supposed to see the results later like? What'S going on? It says: freezing temperatures on the cold plate effectively align individual hair strands and the results are luminous. These temperatures don't feel that freezing like it's just cold. I don't see how this is gon na do literally anything to my hair. I mean, like i said earlier. I obviously didn't expect this to straighten my hair or to dry it, but i don't know like i get it: it's not supposed to like dry your hair or like do anything really to it in the moment. It'S supposed to give it a lot of shine and hydration. Like that's the whole point, it's gon na make your hair smoother healthy. Looking and all of that - but i don't know, i'm somebody who needs results right away like if i saw the shine immediately, i mean we'll see, i'm still, i'm still doing it. You know this is something that's going to give you results over time. It says: use the cold brush daily and you'll, see and feel the difference. Okay, see if you say so, i think what i'm gon na do is. I am just gon na i'm just gon na do this for a little bit she's gon na brush my hair with it really get up in there and then i will blow dry my hair. I know more heat damage, so i'm trying to avoid here but uh after doing this and like straightening out my strands, it's not going to be the same when i try to curl it now, so i'm just going to go all the way and just finish blow Drying my hair and maybe maybe we'll see a difference in the shine. It'S also supposed to control your frizz, so i need major help with that. I'M starting to feel like this was a pretty bad investment like how much is a cold brush really doing to my hair, because if that's the case i'll stick my brush in the freezer i'll stick my brush in the freezer, and i won't have to pay 200 To get smoother silkier looking hair, you know like it's, not even that cold. I was expecting freezing antarctica temperatures. You know what this is, why i don't um. Actually, i was gon na say this is why i don't do fresh impressions, but i do them all the time. This is why i don't like doing first impressions, because what even is this video i'm gon na go um, i'm gon na go finish finish. My hair. Throw a little something on my face and then we will circle back and we will discuss this further brb. Okay, guys, i'm back and i got ta say i think my hair looks shinier and i know that's crazy, but don't you guys agree like doesn't my hair? Look really really shiny right now and of course that could be two things number one. I have an excessive amount of leave-in conditioner in my hair right now. I definitely applied too much and that could be causing extra shine. I don't know, and also i've been taking hair vitamins for like the past two months and that has been dramatically improving my hair. So that could be giving me like shinier hydrating, looking hair, and i just never really noticed that until right. Now, because i'm trying to pay attention to the shine, you know what i mean like. Maybe my hair has been this shiny. I'Ve just never paid attention to it like this, for real for real all jokes aside. If i'm gon na be completely honest with you, i i don't think that i don't think this is worth the money like. Don'T get me wrong. I think it's really interesting and i love the idea behind it, and i love new technology like this and whenever i can find a product that is really good for your hair and isn't damaging i'm all for it. That'S why i don't mind spending a lot of money on dyson products, because i know they're so so pricey, but they are healthier for your hair. This, in my opinion, just feels like an extra step for me to me. There really isn't a difference with this, so it's hard for me to be like yeah. Oh, my god go check it out, go! Try it out super cool technology because it's it's a cold brush, guys, i'm pretty sure you can get the same results. If you put a plastic brush in the freezer like find a brush that has like you, know, plasticky metally bristles, like this, throw it in your freezer in the morning, go brush your teeth, pee a little bit and then run the brush through your hair. Two to four passes and hey: you might see a difference, but for this to be and eighty nine dollars, i just don't see it folks, i don't. I don't see how it's worth it and honestly. I feel, like kind of a douchebag even doing this review, because it says it very clearly that this is the kind of product that gives you lasting results. So i'm sure the more you use it. The more benefits you get out of it. So, at the same time, i don't feel like this is a very fair first impressions. Oh, i keep turning this on by mistake because it turns on by just one little push like. I said i'm kind of not giving it a fair shot, but it is my first impression i got ta be honest if i'm gon na be honest, i feel a little bit bamboozled just a little bamboozled. It just seems so gimmicky, especially for somebody with my hair type, if i was the kind of person that had like, naturally perfectly straight hair. As soon as i got out of the shower, then, maybe i wouldn't mind doing a little pass a few times and then letting my hair naturally dry and then yeah. It'S like okay i'll. Do that every once in a while to see if i get some added shine and hydration and since my hair is already a process to do whether i'm doing it straight or curly, i don't want to go through an extra step. On top of that, you know, even if this is going to give me shinier, healthier, looking hair over time, that this was 50 bucks. Okay, 50 bucks 100, but it's almost 200 dollars and damn damn for that. I don't know. I feel like something that'd be down there, but don't get me wrong. I am going to continue to use this. I want to use this a few more times before i tell you 100, like total gimmick, not worth it at all, because it's just not fair. I have to give it a fair shot. I have to use this how it's intended and then give it a fair review. So i guess that means this. Video has no conclusion and i'm not gon na lie when you guys first started tagging me about this product. Asking me to review it. I was a little bit skeptical from the get, because when i was asking you guys what your favorite flat iron was, so many of you guys were telling me how much you didn't like the babyliss flatiron. I know it has nothing to do with this, but a lot of you guys were telling me that your babyliss flatiron, like damaged your hair, really really bad. So i was kind of concerned about this brand overall, i feel like they don't get the best reviews on ulta, it's kind of like wishy, it's kind of like back and forth with the reviews on this brand and even this product, like the reviews were so again. I don't know personally: okay, i'm gon na give you a conclusion flat out. I don't like it, i think it's overpriced. I think it's gimmicky and i don't like it. I don't think it's good there. I don't think it's good. That was my review and i hope it helped. I hope if you were on the fence, this helped you get off the fence. I hope this video wasn't as pointless as it feels. I hope it was helpful to someone, but anyway, guys that completes this video. I love you guys so so so much. Thank you guys so much for watching. Please subscribe! If you haven't already - and i will see you in my next video bye - pass the cold brush through your hair, as you would a regular brush two to four passes per section there, we go i'm in the middle of a video

KathleenLights: WHAT DO WE HAVE HERE? A GOODIE OR A GIMICK ?!?! What are ur thoughts?!

eleventhgorgeous: Def seems like more of a gimmick!! But your hair looks so smooth and shiny!

Lauren Klein: You can do a cold rinse before you get out of the shower after you wash the conditioner out. It’ll do the same thing! Licensed cosmetologist and after a shampoo I always do the cold rinse. It lays the hair cuticle down locking in moisture and reducing frizz!

SubliminalLv7: I honestly saw your intro and before you spoke I thought to myself, “Her hair looks so extra shiny!” — It looks really good!

Sharon52ish: Ugh I hope you can return this, what a scam! I’m an almost 20 year stylist...and yes cold can help your hair, but just hit the cold shot button on your dryer while blow drying with air blowing down! Same thing!!! Or do the age old cold water final rinse! But this made a fun video, your the best!!

Lauren Obusek: Kathleen: I hope this video wasn’t pointless Me: watches every video she posts no matter what it’s about because I genuinely just enjoy her

Katrina Harris: I can hear Hispanic moms everywhere.. “don’t use the cold brush on your wet hair or you’ll get sick!”

Amy Hopkins: The brush looks like an old school beauty tool lol, it reminds me of like something the Marvelous Mrs Maisel would use as part of her beauty routine.

BayArea Mandy: That brush seems like the equivalent of the Becca "No pigment" foundation!! ️️️

Cindy O: "I'll stick my brush in my freezer" LOL, not a bad idea

Jem Sopp: As someone who grew up in Alaska, I would caution you about using this on wet hair for too long. Many times I had my wet hair freeze and BREAK OFF standing at the bus stop. Extreme cold can do just as much damage as heat.

Caroline Baker: As a Canadian, can confirm.... cold doesn’t straighten your hair lol.

Haley S: Just wanted to say thank you for being such a shining LIGHT (no pun intended ) during these times especially ❤️ I always come to your videos when I’m feeling down or need a good laugh, and I always leave feeling so much better. P.S. I’ve had two dreams now where we are BFFs in real life and have sleepovers and do makeup I really do feel like you’re a friend sometimes! ❤️ Thanks Kathleen.

Adriene B: How can they even get away with calling this a styling brush?! It doesn’t style your hair!

Brandi Smith: I get the concept, after I straighten my hair in the summer, I cool my hair in front of the window ac unit at coldest temp to make it smoother, shinier, and softer and it works amazingly.... however I would never spend that much for that.

emily word: Hairstylist tip: get your shower water as cold as you can stand it and rinse your hair with it before you hop out. Same effect, much affordable option.

Sandy IAA: Kathleen just want you to know that I love your videos even when it's a total fail at times lol just know I appreciate them all

Bridget: You definitely got bamboozled, haha. I mean, your hair does look great, but it...always does. Also, your Jaded palette shipped today, and I am SO excited.

Aix, MD: Kathleen: "I hope this was helpful to someone." Well, you made me laugh so... YEAH! Definitely SOOOOO helpful.

Catherine Osborne: You’re freaking hilarious Thanks for being real! I definitely will not be buying a freezing brush. I will use a spray for shine.

Alyssa Molina: I feel like you could definitely do the cold wash in shower after you’re done washing it! Also, what hair vitamins do you use Kat??? I was cracking up every time you would accidentally turn the cold brush on

S: Thanks for your honesty ! We need more honest reviews out there for expensive products like this! We need more honesty like this with all these fancy expensive red light therapy masks that are 400!

Serena Arthur: This device looks so unique! Enjoyed watching your review!! I just love watching your videos you’re so down to earth and seem like an overall genuine person. ☺️

Sydney P: I’m really happy with your new upload schedule ❤️ all your videos are so fun and high energy

Rachael Rogers: I loved this video you crack me up. Not at all pointless! Now when my mom hears about this brush and thinks she should get one I can tell her NO

Paige Pzinski: Been waiting for a video!! Can you do some makeup tutorials for the upcoming fall and winter seasons? I’ve been watching you for years and your tutorials are always my favorite!

marissabear14: This was a review I never knew I needed. Haha. Love you, Kathleen! You crack me up!

Kayla Janed: As a Canadian whose hair has literally frozen off in the winter... this brush will haunt my nightmares lol

Ashleighrenee42: Oh man I love my babyliss straightener! It straightens AND curls my hair better than any I’ve ever used and I’ve gotten way more compliments since owning it. Even my stylist has one that she uses on all her clients. But I do keep the temp down to 35 so maybe that’s why my hair doesn’t get damaged. Kind of surprised they came out with something this gimmicky, though! Didn’t think they were that kind of brand

Javeria Syed: Finally, early for the first time!!! I look forward to your videos to get me through the week. You're literally a breath of fresh air in this swampy beauty community. Keep shining! Love you Kathleen.

clbloyd: I love my Babyliss hair dryer and flat iron but this sounds crazy. Thanks for the honest review!

Maci: Honestly every time you were your hair straight I’ve always noticed how shiny and healthy looking your hair looks. So I think this was a dud lol

Marissa Leigh: My babyliss pro straightener is my favorite I’ve ever used! I have super curly hair too so I’ve used a lot of different brands but this brush seems so pointless to me haha I love my revlon brush! I haven’t used my babyliss blow dryer since I got the revlon brush

Shii Wak: I’m actually pretty grateful you put the effort in to share this. I’d be interested in seeing how you feel about this later. I have the same reserved feelings about when I spend my money. Videos like this give me a fair opportunity to make an informative choice. My family of 7 thanks your unbiased view of this product. ~Sheeara, Alaska

Daniella Rubbo: I could literally watch Kathleen review a rock for an hour and be happy

Morgan Gilbert: "I'll stick my brush in the freezer" lol Kathleen beating the system

danagirl0612: You could just talk to the wall and we would watch Love when I get a Kathleen notification ❤️

Irene Benavides-Soliz: I think you should give it a months review and then tell us what changes you’ve seen in the hair ( more shine, less frizz ie. ) your hair is naturally gorgeous honey!! ❤️❤️

Carlie: You’re hair looks so healthy, with things like this you won’t necessarily see Immediate life changing results. But I think you should use this everyday for a month and see the difference ❤️

ColombyGirls13: This video definitely wasn’t pointless because it was super entertaining I think that this product could work in theory, like you said if you had the time to use it everyday in your routine but most people don’t, it’d be easier to just do the cold rinse like others are suggesting

Frany's Look: Love when your videos!! It’s literally like you’re talking to a friend and I’m here for it

Alina: Thank you for brightening up my evening Kathleen !

lovemysammyboy: My first time seeing you and you are so honest and adorable!!! Thanks for the entertainment and help!

Alexis Graffice: You could also just do a cold rinse in the shower before you get out. That helps with shine too! Thankful for Kathleen willing to test this weird shit for us

Sarah Heath: Very interesting. As a hairdresser and educator Babyliss make some of the best hot tools around. They are reliable, long lasting tools and the titanium makes for excellent heat conduction. Anyone that says they damaged their hair with this flat iron or that one, they just weren’t using the right heat protectant in preparation for the hot tool. I swear by their flat iron and dryers. And they are less than half the price of dyson, which they’re are many reviews from hairstylists that say their dryer went kaput after 1 year. That’s Unacceptable for 400+ range. I did see another product similar to this from a European country and they used it when the hair was wet with conditioner in it and then rinsed out. No idea the result but it went viral and we were all scratching our heads.

Linden Jenesse: Girl, Your videos are never pointless, because you put a smile on my face and help me feel excited about life!! I guess it's just you!!

Amp Amp: I couldn’t help but to laugh when she said “I have an excessive amount of leave in conditioner” LOL

Rhiannon: Your hair literally looks so shiny and gorgeous!

Samantha Galbraith: hi Kathleen! Could you do another perfume video? I love how you describe perfumes and I always end up rewatching those videos 3-4 times !

Ella Howard: I'll tell you this was helpful for me; seeing Kathleen. Hearing Kathleen. Basically, this video was helpful because it was made by Kathleen, and I fricking LOVE Kathleen.

Shelby Ridderbush: Love your channel, Kathleen! I would love to see a video of top setting sprays. I loved your IG stories for sprays, and I trust your opinion

JSapproved: okay your hair looks AMAZING! I have the same type of tool but a normal hot one, I can’t wait to see if this works!!

Night time city lights: so glad you uploaded! Love your calming voice and currently in the hospital with my little girl so needed the escape for an hour at 130am!

Colleen Eichmann: I have been using this tool for 2 months. I have fine hair...I use it almost daily. My hair is definitely healthier, shinier, and since i started using it my hair styles like a dream. I will continue to use it, and i do recommend it.

TheGoodan Family: Great idea! Can't wait for a cheaper version of this .

Nina llluuu: Kathleen I just want you to know that you are a princess! Love you always

Nadeen Katz: I’ve been waiting for someone to review this brush. Thank you for saving me !

CALANOC, Ma. Teresa Luisa A.: I genuinely mean this: i watch all and any of your videos thank you for still making them even though you’re a busy girl!!!

Natalie GA: Use it right after you straighten your hair and OMG, your hair would feel amazing and it would last (the straightener thing) more

Sarah Milianti: Hi Kathleen! Love you so much! It’s a great day anytime you upload!

Kaleigh: I have super curly hair & love the Babyliss brand! I think it’s definitely you hate it or love it! I definitely love their brand and this product is definitely interesting but....$200? das esspensive

Linh Tran: For someone that’s hot natured, it sounds like it’s meant for me! Ac on my hair versus a hot blow dryer?

Elizabeth W: I love your eye look here, super subtle but impactful! What are your thoughts on the ND Glam palette?

Lucy Ortega: I’m so glad you did a review ! I was looking at the product for a minute and wanted to know if it’s good !

Shawna Marez-Spann: I love your honest opinion!

the peachy way: Kathleen, you have amazing hair, this is my goaal girl. I swear. I am trying to get a long hair for years, tried vitamins for months. I only see an improvement this year bacause I barely leave my house so I rarely use heat on it. I want your haair!

tiffany sadler: Thanks for sharing this with us. Sorry it didn't work out but you definitely saved us from waisting our money on it.

Brittany P: In the beginning of the video before I knew what it was about, I was thinking to myself "Wow! Kathleen's hair looks REALLY good!". Your hair looks more shiny and healthy yet also voluminous. Idk man... It does look good but is it REALLY worth it ya know? Lol. <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

Sylvana Joyce: Kathleen, I noticed that washing my hair with warm, not hot water, and rinsing my conditioner with cold water and letting it air dry until just damp had a huge effect on how my hair took to heat styling and products. It is important to apply cold temperature to the hair after conditioning, because it essentially seals the cuticles, while heat will open it. So! Here’s a suggestion: if you’re willing to use the product, I would apply it both before and after heat styling (the heat will open the cuticle again!); this will add to the salon blowout look. A lot of professional salon techniques are about applying heat, and turning fan of the hair dryer towards the hair, effectively “cooling the hair” after a few passes. It helps tame frizz and seal the style. If you truly feel bamboozled (I would tend to agree honestly) and want to get the effects without the cost or extra step, I would make sure to rinse your hair with cold water, and while you’re sectioning you’re hair off and doing passes with your blow dryer, do another pass with the “cool” setting (some models have cooler temperatures than others, so you might want to check which brands are best for this) to effectively “seal” each section of hair. It will have similar results.

Judy Lopez: Jajajajajajaajaj I love your reviews, your just like me never wanting to make anyone feel bad even if it’s a multimillionaire company

Mariam Mohammed: Thankyou soo much dear for doing first impressions like this and being soo honest, really we need someone like you always before going and buying something this much expensive I'm soo sorry for your loss but you saved our money ;) love from Chicago ♡

Becca Lyn: Kathleen you have gorgeous hair!! Natural or straight! ☺️

Katiane Legault: Hi Kathleen, have you tried the L’Oreal Steampod 3.0? Literally have changed my life with my frizzy kind of curly hair ❤️

Amanda Buccilli: Quick thought: if you can use it wet or dry, why not just use it on the days your blow out or straighten your hair to re-nurish your hair after damaging it with the heat‍♀️

Aggie Vincent: I have a BabyLissPro hair dryer and I LOVE it. Best money I’ve spent on a hair tool. Never have tried any of their other products but if my hair dryer ever dies - I’m buying another one just like it!

Sashy Beauty: Your hair looks so shiny. I loooooove, but you're right I wouldn't invest in this brush at all. I avoid heat on my hair anyways lol

Summa 444: I get so hot from a regular hair dryer that if this works well enough, I might buy it. What is worse? Hot or cold?

Monira Dasilva: Love when you do hair videos!

Megan Young: Your hair looks ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!!!

Kayle Mathis: i saw this on ulta’s website the other day and i was like omg how cool i wish someone would try it out AND LITERALLY A WEEK LATER YOU POSTED THIS VIDEO. i ✨manifested✨ this haha

Patrice Bailey: I have been so curious about this product thank you for testing it!

Yvette Soto: Have you ever styled your curly hair with a denman brush?? I feel like this brush would be like a combo of cold rinsing the hair after conditioner and styling with a denman brush. Minus the cold rinsing of course.

Ashley Duncan: I selfishly like when things like this don’t work out for you because you’re so freaking funny

Madison Hopkins: It looks so pretty and shiny!

Tina C: I’m glad you did this review. I was super interested until now. $ 179 at Cosmoprof! I’m gonna pass now!

Alexis Pohl: It would be cool if you did like a compilation of videos of you using it throughout a week, so we can see the progression of your hair

Kiara Ivanyi: Hi Kathleen, I love your little curls and would love you to make a video about how you style it, I'm also using the Curly girl method but I'm still trying to find a great product that would enhance my waves

Sarah Allegra: Your hair does look beautiful and very shiny! What hair vitamins are you taking? I’ve been looking for some, and my hair is naturally curly too so it could work for me too You are gorgeous as always!!

MommaShawna: Girl, I get hot flashes on my head that sounds amazing for that LOL

Imaani Beauty: Love your intro your hair looks amazing

i_bleed_ makeup: 3:58 "Are you supposed to see the resultssssss.............. later?" This was a great review ❤

Elisabeth Cuningham: Kathleen! Video idea! A skincare guy named Hyram did a video reacting to your skincare routine a couple months ago, commenting on all the products etc (he was impressed with your routine, he wasn’t bashing you) and I thought it would be a super fun video (and hopefully easy for you to film!) to react to his reaction! If you haven’t seen it already.

Yvette Garcia: I love your content but I would love to see some more mukbang/story times! Or challenges! They’re so fun

Giv: what! i love babyliss! the only hot tools brand i use!! been using for years this brush tho.... looks like a gimmick like you said.

Amanda: I work at Ulta and used to do hair. When we got this in I was like "has no one heard of cold water and the cold shot button?"

Valerie Pac: A little hairdressing hack!! Rinse your hair in cold water at the end of every hair wash and it seals the hair cuticle leaving your hair less frizzy and adds shine! Also I ALWAYS use the cool setting on my blow dryer at end of the end of blow drying my hair and it always adds shines and seals the cuticle once again, it’s the same thing as rinsing your face with cool water to close the pores. Cold air / cold water will add shine and calm friz!

Sarah Milianti: I would like to see you do one side with the cold brush and then blow dry.. and the other side just blow dry..

Kulsoom Tirmizi: Kathleeeeen, you’re my fav forever. Love you so so much ❤️❤️

Amanda Puello: Instead of this, someone needs to make a normal powered (or Dyson-powered) blow dryer that only has cold settings so that you can avoid heat completely & not lose a finger from holding the cold button down the whole time.

Robin Smith: I'm glad your honest about this product! Thank u
